Chapter Text
Kim Dokja was a nobody, a simple accountant in a company he didn't care about, but he had one passion: a Chinese webnovel he had been reading for over 25 years!
“King of the Desert, Deathly Ennead Versus Cruel Prince” was his favorite novel, a story about Horus, an Egyptian God who, thanks to his cruel uncle Seth the God of War, had to flee Egypt with his mother the Goddess of Magic Isis. Due to Seth's power, Isis took him faraway to the land of China when he was too young to remember, and for his sake and protection she left him alone, disguised as a girl with the name Mimi. In China he was hated and abused, but he still remained optimistic and pure of heart, even admiring the kingdom's prince: Shen Zechuan.
Shen Zechuan is the prince the title mentions. He is the main villain: cold, cruel, calculating and an absolute piece of shit. When the protagonist went to see one of his performances he fell into the arena thanks to someone pushing him. When he fell, the prince saw him but let him fall to his death. Then, after dying, Horus became a ghost and he vowed to take revenge on the prince.
While Shen Zechuan ascended as a god, Horus became the most powerful ghost, and then his divine powers awakened and he was twice as powerful. He went to Egypt and defeated his uncle, marrying the goddess Hathor. This is a very rough summary, since all this I told you spans nearly 10 k chapters, shitty porn included (and trust me, there’s a lot of it). But this is not even half.
But, when Horus tried to finally take revenge on Shen Zechuan, plot twist! he had reverse transmigrated into another world, so Horus made a pact with System Zero, or “S-Ling”, to go after him. All these transmigrations spanned more than 20 k chapters, Horus's harem growing more each time and the spicy scenes gradually getting worse.
Kim Dokja was reading the latest chapter, ch. 34,824, that only said this:
“Due to personal reasons, I will be cancelling this novel.”
Kim Dokja knew exactly what those reasons were, and it was because ch. 34,823 only had 4 reads when it was published last month. The story was getting too long and readers stopped reading. What had begun as one of the most famous novels 25 years ago was now a novel that nobody understood why someone would read.
Just as Kim Dokja finished reading that one line, the underground train he was in suddenly crashed and everything went black.
He woke up on a bed, but it wasn't a hospital bed. It was a bed that seemed to belong to royalty, more specifically Chinese royalty. Kim Dokja didn't need to say a word nor look in the mirror to know what had happened. He has read enough novels. Luckily, he knew a lot of Chinese.
Kim Dokja was now a 7 year old Shen Zechuan.
