Chapter Text
He was torn between duty and affection. He had some sort of connection with Ada that was beyond words, it transcended their affiliations. He had always thought about his feelings for her as he doubted whether this type of bond is love or lust. However, one thing stood out – the two of them were in a relationship that was more complicated.
He was seen as the town’s hero, a hero, that they needed, while she was seen as a villian. But that’s not what he saw when he looked at her. Not after everything she did in Raccoon City and especially not after Spain, no matter what she did; he couldn’t bring himself to see her as a villain.
As he watched her walk away with the Plaga, with the fucking Plaga, which could cause untold havoc upon its release if it goes to the wrong hands.
You changed, her laugh echoed within his mind. He questioned himself, had he really changed? Perhaps, she might be correct, after all. Perhaps he haven't changed at all. But he’s far from the Leon she knew, he’s gone, burned along with Raccoon City.
Or does he thinks about how his physical appearance had changed throughout all the tough training he had experienced? But inside, he’s still the same exact person. Do I still trust her? He disliked the idea of it.
But perhaps, he still might is. Then, out of the blue, Ashley’s voice rang out. “So, who’s that woman?” she asked, her arms encircling his waist. Unprepared for this inquiry, he shot back with a question in response, “Why do you asked?” He kept his eyes focused on the sea only and ignored the sky where Ada’s helicopter might have flown away.
“C’mon, tell me!” urged Ashley. “She’s like a part of me, I can’t let go,” he admitted turning round to see her face again. Though she seemed smiling, her eyes told a different story. He hardly want to talked about Ada to anyone because he feared it could inform the President who would got Ada in trouble.
“When did you meet her?” persisted Ashley. But he did not answer; instead, he turned around and made their way towards an island pointed by Hunnigan. At arrival there were helicopters waiting for them. Helped down from the jet ski by him, “We are safe.” he reassured her.
