Love was in the air right now, as today was Valentine’s Day.
Eveyerone in Gokiy was already excited for the day as they all ask out the people they love so much and even ask them to be their Valentines.
Well everyone except for Firey.
Who was at the hotel having his lunch in the form of a Peanut Butter Sandwich.
He was enjoying it until he spots Pin holding a bouquet of flower.
“Hey, uh Pin. Not to be rude but, what’s with the bouquet of flower?” Firey asked.
“Oh this? It’s for Coiny. Besides today is a Valentine’s Day, have you forgotten about it?” Pin replied.
“Oh Shit! I forgot that’s today!” Firey said as he realised this.
He couldn’t believe that he had forgotten what today is. He even checked the calendar to se that it was indeed that day, he felt like an idiot for forgetting which an important day of love.
“What’s wrong Firey?” Pink asked as she sees him facing palming himself.
“I promised myself that I would ask out Leafy to be my girlfriend on that day.” Firey said to her.
“Oh my. That really is such an important thing huh?” Pin said.
But then out of nowhere Firey remembered something about Leafy.
It was the fact that she loved flowers and since there would be some flowers blooming in late winter, this gives him a idea.
A great idea for a last minute gift.
“I figured out what to get Leafy.” Firey said.
“What is it?” Pin asked.
“I’m going to get her a flower!” Firey said with determination.
“Ok but-“ pin said before she gets interrupted by Firey running straight pass through her.
She sees him unlocking the htel’s door and is about to step outside….until
“Stop!” Pin said with a worried tone.
“Why?” Firey asked.
“Are you crazy? A few hours ago, Two and Four said that there was going to be a huge snowstorm in the area and that it will be too dangerous for us to be outside. So I think it’s for the best that we stay inside, maybe we can find something else for Leafy.” Pin replied.
The warning she gave was a bit intene and scary. But Firey’s not gonna accept it.
“No Pin. I’m going outside and find a flower for Leafy.” Firey snapped at Pin.
“Firey wait!” Pin said trying to run up to him.
But it was too late as Firey step outside and even closed the hotel’s door.
And while she could go after him before the snowstorm hit, considering that he’s a really fast runner, pin thinks that he will be fine.
So she goes to the lobby where everyone in presenting their valentines gift to the people they love including Leafy.
But what Pin doesn’t know is that something terrible will happened instead.

The weather was fine when he got out, no sings of snowstorm or anything dangerous.
Looks like Pin was lying about the whole thing in order to keep him inside.
Anyways, he searches all over the area for a flower but it appears that since it’s still winter they haven’t bloomed yet.
And an hour or so later, he was starting to lose hope.
Until he sees it.
Something on the snowy grounds that caused him to become shocked.
It was a pink flower in the shape of a heart.
It looks really beautiful and dazzling to his eyes.
“This might be the perfect gift for Leafy. Time to take it back to the hotel.” Firey said to himself.
So after he picks the flower out of the ground it was time to head back.
When suddenly he feels that something was off.
His breathing has become cold and he starting to feel the freezing breeze in the air.
But how? Unless…
That’s when he sees a huge storm coming in his way.
Looks like Pin was actually right all along.
So he tried to run away but it was just too fast for him, and no matter how fast he ran, he suddenly trip on the ground and faceplanted onto the snow.
Until the snowstorm appeared and started blowing cold air into his entire body.
This was bad as since he is made out of pure fire, anything or wet or cold will kill him.
But he not gonna let the cold and harsh full death get the better of him.
And so with the flower on his hands, he continues to walk towards the hotel while trying ignore his body temperature dropping and the fact that he’s starting to shiver.

Everyone had noticed that the snowstorm is here now, but their glad that their inside now as they don’t want to die in this cold blizzard.
But Leafy noticed that something was a bit off. Firey was gone.
Where is he? Is he in his room, is he still having that peanut butter sandwich at the hotel’s dinging room or….oh no
That was when she realised where Firey had gone off to, so she goes to Pin and talks to her.
“Pin? Is Firey outside?” She asked
“Yes and even though I tried to warn him, it feels like he didn’t listen to me. I hope he’s ok.” Pin replied.
No he won’t be ok. As because of how powerful that snowstorm is, Firey could get killed in a minute.
So she runs off, grabs all her winter gear and opens the door of the hotel, only to be met by the chilling breeze.
Just then Pin appears out of nowhere with a concerned look on her face.
“Are you sure, you’ll be able to find Firey in that harsh blizzard?” Pin asked.
“Yes I am, as a friend would never leave friend to die by such harsh conditions like this one.” Leafy said with determination
And so she runs outside into the snowstorm. As suddenly before Pin can follow her, the door suddenly shuts and starts to freeze.
Looks like Leafy and Firey are on their own now and Pin hopes that they will be able to survive.

“I can’t give up right now, not when I have something for Leafy.” Firey thought to himself as his walking became slower.
He was getting extremely cold, his body was turning icy blue and he was shivering uncontrollably.
But he still needs to keep going for Leafy and his friends.
And just when things couldn’t get any worse, his body suddenly gave up on him and he collapses onto the snowy ground shivering like crazy.
This is it huh?
He’s going to die in this snowstorm.
As he could actually feel his heart starting to beat slowly.
Even though he doesn’t want to die, at least he could remember the good days with his friends and espically Leafy.
Suddenly he hears something from the wind which sounded like someone was calling for him.
But he doesn’t know if it was real or was it his hallucinations.
Firey didn’t have time to questions those things, as he blacks out,
And stops breathing.

“Firey? Firey, where are you?” Leafy said while looking around.
Seconds turned into minutes and the snowstorm was getting worse and worse by the minute.
She thought it would be hopeless, that she will never find her friend.
Taht was until she sees a bright glow on the other side.
“It can’t be, but could it be?” She said to herself.
So she runs towards the glow and was she gets there, Leafy sees that the glow is coming from under the snow.
So Leafy started to dig and dig and dig and dig, until finally she sees something that caused her to become scared.
It was Firey, with his body being icy blue and he wasn’t breathing.
He wasn’t breathing. Her friend isn’t breathing right now.
“Oh fuck no! Firey!” Leafy said in a panic as she grabs her friend’s motionless body.
She didn’t know how long he was in the blizzard. But she knows that hopefully he’s still alive.
“Come on Firey. Let’s get you back to the hotel.” Leafy said to her friend.
The problem was however, she couldn’t see where the hotel is.
Luckily she spots a far off house in the distance,
Hopefully it will be warm in there to help them survive through this hellish storm.
So she takes her friend to the house and when she sees that no one’s home, she decides to open the door with success and take the both of them inside.
Once inside, Leafy immedianlty starts burning the woods inside of it and getting the fireplace started. Hopefully this will be enough to keep Firey warm and alive right?
Well not exactly.
“You’re going to be ok. You will be right?” Leafy said as she sees that Firey’s body is still blue.
And that’s when things go horribly wrong.
As when she grabs his arm and puts a finger on his wrist, she became horrified at something she didn’t want to believe was real.
That her friend has no pulse.
And is dead now.
Firey died on Valentine’s Day

She couldn’t believe what she just saw. Her friend was cold and lifeless on the floor.
Leafy tried everything to get him to be revived by adding in more woods in the fireplace and giving him her winter gear.
But no matter how hard she tries, he couldn’t be waken up. And this really puts her into tears.
And then she starts to cry. There was nothing she could do to bring him back to life.
And since the snowstorm won’t be passing until tomorrow morning, she would tell everyone what happened, and some of them would be devastated at what happened to their friend.
So she proceeds to hug Firey’s lifeless boy and starts to sing to him.
It was a beautiful song that they always sing to each other and this might be the last time she would ever sing to him.
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when the sky’s are grey. You’ll never know dear, how much I loved you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.”
That was until suddenly she felt a hand touched her own hand and this causes her to noticed that her friend is now breathing again.
She didn’t know how he’s still alive but it might be due to how warm the fireplace made the house or her love for him.
Then she hears him sing the same song to her like a duet.
“The other night dear, as I lay sleeping. I dreamed I held you in my arms. When I awoke dear, I wished I stayed here. So I hung my head and cried.”
So the two of them sing their song together until after it ends, Leafy gives her friend a big hug.
“Oh Firey, I’m so glad that your awake and warm now.” Leafy said with happy tears in her eyes.
“Well thank you Leafy, for saving my life by making me warm and toasty.” Firey said as he sees himself Bering wrapped in her winter clothes.
So after a bit of silence for a few minutes, they both have a chat about what happened.
“Why oils you go through a snowstorm if you knew it was going to kill you?” Leafy asked being concerned.
“{sigh} Let me explain. I forgot to give you a Valentine’s Day gift today so as a last minute gift I sorta went out to gather some flowers for you, and this is the only flower I could find. I hope you like it.” Firey said as he pulls the flower out of nowhere.
Leafy was speechless. Firey nearly died so that he could give her a flower that looks so beautiful which kinda make sense it’s in the shape of a heart.
And upon seeing it, she smiles at him.
“This is actually a beautiful gift. You really did remembered that I love flowers especially these ones. Thank you.” Leafy said happily.
It was now time for Firey to tell Leafy something else.
“I have another thing I want to talk to you.” Firey said.
“What is it?” She asked.
“I loved you since the moment we met, and even though a leaf and fire could never be together, I want to prove the ones who said it wrong. So Leafy will you go out with me?” Firey asked.
This confession caused Leafy to be speechless again until finally after a few seconds she places her hand on his own.
“Yes, I would love to go out with you.” She said.
With that Firey was happy to hear that.
And while it’s going to be a long night, the two spend the rest of the day huddling for warmth, talking about their friends and eventually sleeping together while holding hands.

The next day, the two of them woke up to the sound of a door opening, and they see 2 people in the distance.
It was Pin and Coiny who were both looking concerned about them but are glad that their both ok.
“Oh thank goodness you two are alive. Thank goodness the snowstorm’s gone so that we can head back to the hotel.” Pin said happily.
“So what happened to you guys? Pin told me everything.” Coiny asked.
“No need to worry about us you two, we’re all fine.” Leafy said not wanting to tell them the truth about everything that happened tonight.
And so both she and Firey follows their friend back into the hotel.
While walking back there, Firey smiles at Leafy and she smiles back.
Guess like Valentine’s Day wasn’t a huge bust for him after all.
As he got to go out with the woman he loved.
And that’s all that matters.
