Chapter Text
Hank parked on the side of the road in a suburban neighbourhood.
“So what do we know about this guy?” Hank asked
“Todd Williams, born September 21st 1995, currently unemployed. owns two androids” answered Connor with a monotonous tone
“Any criminal record?”
“Yes. He has been arrested 12 times for drug trafficking and violent misdemeanors”
Hank got out of the car, shortly after, Connor did too. They walked up to the front door and knock. A man opened the door.
"Hi, I'm Lieutenant Anderson, Detroit Police Department. We heard an Android attacked it's owner here?"
The man gave Connor a hateful glare. "Of course, come in"
As the two came inside Todd's house, there was an immediate sense of unease. The man looked at them with nervous, tired eyes. He was unclean, unfit and smelled of alcohol. His shirt looked like it was barely washed, stained by alcohol, vomit, saliva and most other fluids the human body produces.
"Alright" Hank exclaimed. "Tell me what happened"
As the man started to recount the events, Connor started to look around the house, trying to piece together what happened. He walked up to the dining room, where a table was knocked over and plates of spaghetti stained the floor. he scanned it. According to the reconstruction he created, the man flipped over the table as they were having dinner and assaulted his daughter, who then ran upstairs. Connor then went upstairs to look for more clues
As He walked inside the room where a little girl seemingly used to live, he noticed something odd, a pile of blankets, pillows, books and chairs in the corner. Deconstructing the pile, he deduced that it was used as some kind of makeshift play area. He then quickly came back down to question Todd, but as he was about to start asking, he noticed something, wooden splinters on the floor not far from the remains of what probably used to be a chair. Deconstructing the events, he deduced that Todd attacked the android with the chair while they were running away from him. While he was analyzing it, however, he detected traces of Red Ice on it which, after following them, lead him to the laundry room, where he found a small bag of Red Ice in the washing powder. As he walked out, bag in hand, Todd saw him. "You motherfucker" He yelled as he charged towards Connor, which Connor swiftly dodged with a quick hit to the neck, incapacitating him. "You alright, Connor? What happened?" Hank asked, having just come from the backyard "I found a bag of Red Ice" He answered while showing the bag to the confused lieutenant. Hank nodded "Let's get this guy to the station" Connor lifted the man up with shocking ease and carried him to the car.
