Work Text:
Kira walked into Vic’s lounge. On the stage, she saw the singer sitting at the piano tickling the ivories. She didn’t have to call attention to herself. He looked at her from across the quiet lounge and gave her one of his charming smiles.
“Hey, doll face,” Vic greeted. “No Odo?” he asked as he stood up. It was lucky that Major Kira had shown up when she did. It broke him free of his thoughts.
“He’s on duty for another hour,” Kira answered with a small smile. “I wanted a chance to talk to you because I’m working on a bit of surprise for him.”
“What do you need me for?” Vic asked, genuinely confused.
“I know you accessed that holoprogram of me from Julian’s spy novel. Odo told me….”
“And you want to play the part but with a different song?” Vic guessed, intrigued by the idea. She smiled shyly, glancing away from him. “Because I like you two crazy kids, I’ll help you,” he agreed.
“Great!” Kira exclaimed with a little laugh.
THREE WEEKS LATER:
Odo sat in his office on the Promenade, idly tapping his left thigh with a data padd. Nerys had told him to be at holosuite three at twenty-one hundred. They’d been sharing lunch, he’d been happy to watch her eat her meal and chat with her, when she told him she’d made plans for them. She wouldn’t say more than that and it left him curious for the rest of the afternoon. When he tried contacting her, there was no response. She’d gone so far as to leave him a message in his office that told him to wear a tuxedo – but no other context to the evening.
Odo was so anxious for the evening to begin that he kept checking the time. When he checked again for what felt like the millionth time, the computer announced that it was ten till the top of the hour. It was time for him to head down to Quarks. As always, the Ferengi bartender knew how to keep his establishment packed with patrons. From behind the bar, Quark waved him on, motioning him towards the curved stairs that would take him up to the second level. Odo grunted and continued on through the throng of customers.
Upstairs, Odo made his way to holosuite three. Before he walked through the doors, he shifted his uniform into a tuxedo – the one he wore his first time at Vic’s. The moment the doors opened; Odo heard the familiar sounds of the casino. He walked in, moving through the main floor and towards the lounge. It was a different atmosphere when he entered. The stage was dark, and the tables were gone – except for one chair placed in the center of the room.
Vic appeared from the darkness, seeing Odo by the bar. “Hey, pally, come have a seat and prepare to be amazed.”
Odo walked to the chair but didn’t take a seat. He looked at his friend and asked, “Are you going to tell me what’s going on?”
“Trust me, you’re going to like this,” Vic said in an amused tone. He patted Odo on the shoulder, lightly telling him to sit.
Without an ounce of resistance, Odo sat, facing the stage. A spotlight came on, hitting dead center of the black curtain.
“You had plenty money in 1922
You let other women make a fool of you”
Music started seconds later. The curtain parted and a single female leg appeared framed by silver. Kira appeared; her hair done up like Lola – her lips as red as rubies. Rather than wearing a red dress, she chose one made of satin and the color of silver. It was a long gown that fit her lithe frame with a thigh high slit along the right side of the full skirt. The top half tied behind her neck, leaving her back fully exposed.
If Odo hadn’t already been sitting, the sight of Kira would have had him falling into the chair. Her beauty always took his breath away – metaphorically speaking. She had the ability to ensnare him with one look.
“Why don't you do right?
Like some other men do
Get out of here and get me some money too”
Odo could barely contain his avid interest in Nerys. He slid to the edge of his seat devouring her with his eyes. Her voice was soft, sultry, and had him swallowing hard. Desire raced through him, stirring up the need to have her in his arms. He couldn’t wait to have her in his arms, to be able to peel her out of that dress.
“You're sittin' down wonderin' what it's all about
If you ain't got no money they will put you out”
Kira walked the length of the stage, each step measured and drawn out. Her voice filled the lounge. She kept her eyes on her lover, seeing the desire she was inspiring in him.
“Why don't you do right?
Like some other men do
Get out of here and get me some money, too”
Odo followed her every move, watched each step she took down from the stage. She was taking her time, teasing him with her movements, her voice. He let it all seduce him.
“If you had prepared twenty years ago
You wouldn't be wanderin' now from door to door”
Kira came closer to him but stayed out of his reach. She pinned him with a smoldering gaze that told him to stay where he was. Walking around the chair, she rested her hand on his shoulder, drawing her fingertips across the back of his neck, and then down his right arm as she came back around to face him. She sat in his lap, finishing the song.
“Why don't you do right?
Like some other men do
Get out of here and get me some money, too
Why don't you do right?
Like some other men do”
Odo had fallen under her spell so completely that he hadn’t noticed the music had stopped. He was gazing into her brown eyes with such love and devotion. The rest of the room faded away. Somehow, he managed to speak. “This is some surprise.”
Nerys giggled softly, pressing her forehead to his. “Did you like it?” she asked shyly.
“I loved it,” Odo assured her. Leaning back slightly, he took in the sight of her on his lap. “You look gorgeous.” He couldn’t stop staring at her, couldn’t stop running his hand up and down her side feeling her body encased in the softest satin he’d ever touched.
Vic cleared his throat, coming over to them. To Kira he said, “You have the top floor suite all to yourselves.” He handed her the key and then made himself scarce. He’d hunt up a lovely lady, treating her to dinner, and then to a little private performance of his own.
IMPERIAL SUITE:
Odo turned Nerys around, pinning her to the door before she could open it. “I have so many thoughts running through my head.” He pressed himself against her, letting her feel the rise of his desire for her. She brought her arms up, draping them over his shoulders, her hands cupping the back of his neck. He kissed her then, hard and fast, giving her a taste of what he wanted.
Kira sank into the kiss, letting the passion of the moment go to her head and rob her of her senses. His hand traveled down her left thigh, gripping the back of her knee, bringing it up against his side. She moaned into his mouth. If they didn’t go inside soon, she thought Odo would have her right there against the door. Not that she was opposed to that idea at all. This was the holosuite – anything and everything could happen.
Odo tore himself free of her lips, breaking the heated spell of the moment. “Give me the key,” he said in a husky growl. Reluctantly, he let go of her knee as he slipped let arm around her waist to keep her tight against him. She handed him the key which he fit in the door. With more dexterity than he thought he had at the moment, he turned it, unlocking the door. Deftly, he guided her inside and removed the key from the lock. He kicked the door closed with his foot.
Kira gasped in shock and laughed when Odo picked her up, urging her to wrap her legs around him. She had her arms braced on his shoulders, her hands cupping the back of his head as she angled her head, kissing him passionately. He carried her through the room, towards the large lavish bed. Despite their amorous intentions, he set her back down on her feet gently.
Odo freely ran his hands up Kira’s sides, covering her satin covered breasts with his hands. He could feel the press of her nipples against his palms. “I can’t believe how much I want you right now,” he growled. The passion he felt her for always stunned him.
“Then have me,” Kira responded, capturing his lips in a passionate kiss. His hands went to the back of her neck, his fingers pulling free the ties of her dress. It whispered down her body, pulling around her feet. She started to take off her silver heels when he stopped her.
“Don’t take them off,” Odo whispered.
Kira’s heart gave a little flutter. “Alright,” she agreed semi bashfully. She watched as his tux melted away before her eyes, leaving him as naked as she was. He leaned in to kiss her gently while she put her hands on his shoulders. Together, they moved onto the bed. She welcomed him between her thighs.
Odo braced his hands on the bed, his hard length ready for her. She shifted slightly, the tip of him slipping between her wet nether lips. He needed no further prompting from her – surging forward he was inside her, filling her, making her moan loudly.
Nerys kept her eyes on his eyes as he thrust into her setting a pace he knew she liked – sweet and fast. She hooked her left heel against the small of his back, the stiletto pricking his backside, spurring him on faster. He moved in and out of her with such fluid grace that her body was coming undone from it. “Odo,” she moaned his name, pressing her head back against the bed.
Odo delighted in the state he’d reduced her to. He leaned down and drew the taut peak of her left nipple into his mouth, teasing the little bud in time with his thrusts. She was losing herself to the pleasure he was giving her. He could hear her shouting in Bajoran. Odo knew her orgasm was close.
Nerys arched her back, her head pushed back into the mattress. She locked her legs around him, brought her arms up, hooking them around the back of his neck. He drove into her one more time and that was all she needed. Pulse after pulse of hot ecstasy raced through her. He stayed buried inside her until her body quieted.
A LITTLE WHILE LATER:
Outside the large windows of the suite, Odo could see the night didn’t slow the Vegas inhabitants down. Behind him on the bed, Kira was laying on her side, her eyes closed, pretending to be dozing. He remained naked, reveling in the phantom feel of her body against his. Shifting his attention, he saw her reflection in the glass, smiling lightly at her. She was the love of his life. He couldn’t be happier, even if he tried.
On the bed, Nerys stretched, arching her back. She did feel blissfully languid in the wake of their heated lovemaking. Turning her head towards the windows, she saw Odo there without a stitch of clothing. It wasn’t long ago that he’d been bashful to show his body to her. To her, he was beautiful. Sitting up, she took off the heels, and then went to him. She wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, resting her chin on his right shoulder. “What’re you looking at?” she asked.
“Nothing much,” Odo responded, angling his head to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. Then, he shifted her to stand in front of him, with her back pressed to his chest. His eyes fixed on her reflected gaze. “Now, I’m looking at everything.” He smiled at the blush that crept into her cheeks.
Nerys rested her temple against his jaw, moaning lightly in happiness. And she was happy. He was everything to her too. “Do you think anyone can see us?” she asked, mindful of the window and the people down below on the sidewalk.
“No, we’re on the top floor,” Odo responded, dropping a reassuring kiss to her shoulder. “I wouldn’t let anyone else have a chance to see you like this,” he added with a little possessive growl.
“Good,” Nerys replied, pressing herself against him. She felt him stir. In a flash, he had her facing him, her back pressed to the cold glass. A gasp escaped her lips as his hands gripped her hips. They kissed sweetly, walking back towards the bed where they made love for the second time that night. It was slow, building the ecstasy in easy rocking thrusts.
*~*~*~*~*
Vic was in the vacant lounge, his late night set long over. He was enjoying his nightly ritual of a scotch on the rocks before taking himself up to his room to bed. It had been a real treat to watch the Major sing while seducing Odo. It wasn’t so long ago that he was lovesick and tortured over thinking Kira had gone back to a former lover. Now, they were a hot item with no signs of cooling off. It did his photonic heart good to see them together. All they needed was a little push.
Vic turned when he heard the click of heels coming his way. Kira and Odo were both wearing little satisfied smirks. “You two finished already? I thought you’d be in there till the sun came up,” he joked, giving them both a wink.
“We’re on duty in the morning,” Odo said with a little shrug of his right shoulder.
“We just wanted to say good night and thank you for helping me with this.” Nerys stepped away from Odo’s side and went to the lounge singer. She gave him a little peck on the cheek and a warm smile.
“I was happy to do it,” Vic replied warmly. “You two get out of here. Hey, Odo, you should sit in on a set some time! The piano hasn’t been the same without you!” he laughed.
“You got it, pally,” Odo responded as he offered his arm to Nerys.
“That’s something I have to see,” Kira teased when they walked into the casino. He had told her about how Vic had gotten him to have a little fun by sitting at the piano, pretending to play. That had led him to tell her about Lola. Ever since, she’d been wanting to see it.
They exited the holosuite and Odo brought them to a stop just short of descending the staircase. “Shall we take a little stroll on the promenade before calling it a night?” he asked lightly.
Before giving him an answer, Kira moved in close against him, draping her arms over his shoulders. “Did you have fun tonight?” she asked, biting her bottom lip.
“I had a lot of fun,” Odo growled, looking her up and down.
Nerys giggled, giving him a little kiss. “We’re you really surprised?”
“Very,” Odo answered with a nod. “I’m not going to be able to get the image of you in this dress out of my head for a while,” he added wickedly. Of course, he couldn’t wait to take it off her again.
Nerys stepped back, winked at him, and then headed down to the main floor of the bar. They walked close together with her very aware of the stares being thrown her way. It was the dress. She paid them no attention as she hugged Odo’s left arm, pressing her cheek against his shoulder.
At this time of the night, the only crowd to be found was in Quark’s. Odo wandered along the promenade with Nerys. Their pace was slow and easy as they enjoyed the rest of their evening. Every once in a while, he would catch a curious glance from one of the local inhabitants, but it would quickly turn away from them. Everyone was accustomed to him and Kira being together.
“Do you know what today is?” Nerys asked, coming to a stop near the replimat. Seven years ago, they met there for the first time.
“Hmm?” Odo muttered, shaking his head.
“It’s the day when you called me pretty for the first time,” Kira responded. She could see in his eyes he knew exactly what today was.
“I also insinuated that you were having an affair with a married man after thanking you for not punching me,” Odo reminded her playfully.
“I wouldn’t have hit you even if you were propositioning me,” Nerys confessed softly. There had been something comforting in his eyes when they met. She hadn’t thought much about it at the time. Even back then, Odo had made her feel safe. Before they had become friends, he had earned her loyalty.
“You also told me back then I had to make a choice. Bajor or Cardassia….” Odo trailed off, looking over her shoulder at a spot on the wall. At the time, he hadn’t known what the strange sense of loyalty to her was about. All he knew was that he had to keep her from harm. If he had revealed that she was with the Resistance, then she would have been killed, and he wouldn’t have had the chance to realize that he was in love.
“And you chose Bajor when you let me go,” Kira stated. The look in his eyes told her she had that answer wrong.
“No, I chose you,” Odo clarified. “When we first met, when I kept your ties to the Resistance a secret, I was siding with you.” He took her right hand with his left, lacing their fingers together and continued, “Every day since then, I’ve been choosing you because you are the only woman I’ve ever wanted to be with.” The Federation, the Dominion. Bajor, the Great Link. All of it paled in comparison to the love he felt for Kira Nerys – the hot-headed woman that had stollen his heart before he realized he had one.
Keeping their hands joined, Kira moved in close to him, slipping her left arm around his waist. She whispered, “I’ll choose you for the rest of my life.” He leaned in, pressing his brow to hers. She hadn’t missed the happiness that lit his eyes. For the moment that stretched out between them, she felt as if they were the only two people on the station.
THE END
