Chapter Text

Another hot summer has just started.

It’s June. The day? Doesn’t matter. Summer is countless.

Or at least, so it was, for Minnie.

Minnie.

17, thai, tall, slender, short black hair, tattoos, long bangs, dark eyes and a smile that is brighter than the sun, but she never shows it.

She’s a bad girl. So bad, that her parents have lost their patience years ago, and so bad, that not even a correction school was able to help her.

Not even her parents’ threats of sending her away, far away from them. She knew they didn’t mean it, because she was their only kid, and the one who was going to take on their family business.

But, was she really?

Was she actually going to write stupid love songs and sell them to stupid ‘perfect’ artists to sing? Or was she actually going to sing them herself? To perform in front of so many people?

No way.

But what is she doing, then, you may ask?

Parties, clubs, drinks, drugs and hot girls.

That’s what she’s doing.

That’s what a normal 17 year old, ‘hot and bad girl’ does, right?

At the opposite pole,

Miyeon.

17, tall, but not as tall, long and blonde, natural and delicate hair, with perfect curls falling on her lower back, big brown eyes, a perfect shaped nose, a beautiful smile and cute little dimples.

She’s an innocent girl. A good girl, never out of her parents’ word and never bad mouthed. She bows out of respect to every elder person in her village, she goes to church with her mom every Sunday and sings in the choir, with her close friends.

Her body is thin and fragile, delicate and pure. Her father took care of that. No one laid their hands on his daughter’s body. Her father taught her well, no one is allowed to see or touch her body until she meets her husband and gets married. She has to be immaculate for him, and only him.

Miyeon is an angel.

But so was the devil.

***

In the depths of their despair, Minnie’s parents decided to punish her.

They decided to send her away, where nothing from her life in Seoul is the same.

No phone, no internet, no parties, no drinks, drugs and hot chicks to lay off.

7 days of torture for the thai girl, whose life is about to change forever.

The car is filled with fights. Minnie’s voice is so loud that the birds around are flying away. Her parents are fighting back. Her behaviour couldn’t get any worse.

“Dad, drive back!! I am not staying there. I’ll run away!” she firmly said, commanding her father to turn back.

Her father only laughed, in anger. She’s driven her parents insane and they needed a lot of time to recover.

After hours and hours of driving, and almost killing each other, they finally arrived.

“This is a big fucking joke, right?” she scoffed, as she fake smiled at her grandmother, approaching their car.

Her grandmother, just like her mother, was so sweet and loving, unlike her granddaughter.

“Oh my sweet Nini, how much you have grown!” the old woman exclaimed, embracing Minnie into a hug.

Nini used to be her nickname. When she was little, she couldn’t say her name, Minnie, so she stuck with Nini ever since.

“Ugh, okaay. Grandma, it’s enough!” Minnie said, pushing her away. “I’m not a baby anymore, Jesus.”

“Forgive her, mother. She’s been..maturing, lately.” the mom smiled, as she unpacked the trunk.

“Can I at least have my phone back?” Minnie asked in annoyance, putting her hands in her pockets.

“No, Minnie, you cannot have your phone.” her father replied, handing her the luggage. “Now be nice and do not disrespect your grandmother.”

Minnie grabbed her luggage and stormed in, heading to her old room. She slammed the door and locked it, throwing her luggage on the floor, which broke open and all her stuff went all over the place.

“I FUCKING HATE YOU ALL!!!!” she yelled, throwing herself in the bed.

The anger in her body was at its highest level and she would have broken the window and ran away, but a part of her still couldn’t hurt her grandmother like that.

She meant a lot to Minnie, but she never showed that. Deep in her heart, somewhere, she still is the little Nini she used to be.

She just needs to be brought back, to life.

*

Minnie stayed up the entire night. She turned the room upside down and all her clothes were everywhere.

It was close to noon, and she didn’t get out of her room. She figured that if she’d just stayed in her room the entire time it’ll pass faster, but it did not.

Her grandma didn’t check up on her. She was actually starting to worry, but she figured she was still sleeping.

She got hungry, frankly.

She unlocked the door and walked out, searching for food, and she found it on the table. A bowl of soup that was now cold, a big glass of water and some sweets, served on a pinkish plate with an as a signature.

She moved straight to the sweets, which she devoured. She’s never had something as sweet and as good. And they sure weren’t her grandmother’s.

Minutes later, she heard noises outside, and she looked at the door. As it opened, her grandma walked in, holding the arm of a beautiful and happy figure.

“Sweetheart” the old woman stated, pushing the girl whose arm she was holding, in front of her, as she closed the door. “I want to introduce you to someone.” she smiled.

Minnie’s mouth had been open for a while now, just a small space between her lips. As soon as she noticed, she immediately closed it.

“This beautiful girl is Miyeon.” she said, holding Miyeon’s hand, who looked at her and blushed immediately.

“H-Hello!” Miyeon smiled, holding her hand for Minnie to shake it.

Which she did not. The black haired girl was speechless.

”Hi” she mumbled, sticking her hands into her pockets. “Who are you?”

“My name is Miyeon.” the girl smiled, taking a step towards Minnie.

“I know that already, why are you here?” she asked, annoyed.

”Oh. I-“

”Minnie dear, don’t be so rude to her! She comes here and helps me with everything. I am ill, you know.” the old woman protected Miyeon.

“Mhm, cool.” she sniffled. “Then I guess you don’t need me around.” she said, ready to leave.

“Minnie. Stop, now.” the old woman said, grabbing Minnie’s wrist. “Do not bring me my death, child.”

“Well, she takes care of you doesn’t she? She’ll handle that.” she replied, removing her hand from her grandma’s grip.

“Sorry..” Miyeon softly said. “Why are you acting like this to aunt Tay?” she asked in a low tone, looking at Minnie with her so pure and innocent eyes.

“Sweetie, it’s none of your business.” Minnie fake smiled at the blonde girl, then turned around and stormed into her room, locking herself again.

The old woman sighed, as Miyeon caught her in her arms.

“It’s alright.” she whispered, patting the grandma’s back.

“I miss my little girl so much…” she sniffed. “I am afraid I will die and she will still hate me”

“I think she’ll come around, she just needs time to get used to the new life.” Miyeon smiled, holding the woman’s face up, wiping her tears away.

“Oh my sweet child, I do not know what I would do without you.”

Miyeon smiled. “I need to go back now, my father is waiting for me to get lunch ready!”

“Alright, sweetheart. Here, thank you for the cakes, dear.” she smiled, handing Miyeon her plate back.

“I’ll be back before dinner, my mom said she wants to see you.”

“Good, Miyeonie. Be blessed, dear.”

Miyeon bowed, before leaving.

Minnie heard everything. She was such a pain for her grandma, for everyone, actually.

And the cookies she ate, were Miyeon’s. Sweet and beautiful as their baker.

For entire hours, Minnie didn’t leave her room. Before dinner, she decided to go out and take a walk. She visited their old farm and the places she used to play in when she was younger.

As she came back, they had guests. She didn’t wanna face them, so she went straight to her room.

As she entered, she noticed a strong smell of roses, and freshness, actually. Her room was tidied, her clothes in the closet, the laundry folded and the floor clean.

She saw Miyeon, with an apron around her body, a small material in her hand, cleaning her windows.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, scaring Miyeon. The girl lost her balance and was about to fall off, but Minnie caught her in time.

She wrapped her hands around her hips and back, holding her in a bridal style.

“C-Can you put me down, please?” the blonde girl shyly asked, blushing.

“Why are you in my room?” Minnie asked again, placing her down.

“I’m sorry.. I usually come and help aunt Tay with everything, since she cannot work as much anymore.” she reasoned, fixing her apron.

“Okay, but this is my room. I don’t remember giving you permission to enter and shit.”

Miyeon scowled at Minnie. As if she wasn’t allowed to cuss, to be so bad mouthed.

“Why are you talking like this?”

“Huh?”

”You are rude.”

”Thanks, princess.”

Miyeon looked at her again. She was embarrassed, it was her first time dealing with a situation like this and she had no idea how to do so.

“Are all the girls around here like you?” Minnie asked, brushing her hand through her bangs.

“What do you mean, like me?”

”Like you. So dumb and shy.”

Miyeon felt hurt. Of course everyone was like this, they were raised in a village with old and sacred traditions.

“No one to fuck around?” Minnie asked again, making Miyeon blush in embarrassment.

“What?!”

“I’m gonna die here.” she groaned, taking off her shirt, remaining in her black sports bra.

She had a crazy toned abdomen, and Miyeon caught herself staring.

Her eyes couldn’t move from the thai’s worked body, as they were rising to her chest.

Minnie noticed her looking, so she decided to tease the blonde angel.

“Like what you see, Miyeon?” she whispered, leaning against the blonde girl, reaching for her tank top behind her.

Her abs fell to Miyeon’s lap, where her hands were, now touching the thai’s body. Her chest was in front of Miyeon, who was as red as a tomato.

She was nervous and embarrassed. She felt her heart flutter and she didn’t even realise what was happening.

Minnie approached to Miyeon’s neck and smelled her loudly, exhaling against her earlobe.

“You like roses.” she whispered, making Miyeon blush.

The blonde girl was so embarrassed that she could disappear.

Then it struck her.

She’s being intimately close to another girl, that is close to her body, almost touching her intimate places.

“What are you doing?!” she stood up, clearing her throat.

“Oh come on, I’m just playing around.”

“I-It’s wrong! We shouldn’t be this close to each other’s faces!”

Minnie looked at her dead-serious face and burst out laughing.

“W-Why are you laughing?” she asked, confused.

“Chill, it’s not that deep.” she answered, taking the tank top and putting it on.

“I-I have to go..” Miyeon moved around before leaving.

Minnie smiled to herself.

“Maybe this week won’t be as boring as I thought.” she laughed, looking at the door, then running her tongue before her teeth.
