Chapter Text
Emu sighed in exhaustion. The group had had just about 20 gigs today singing and dancing. Now she finally had some resting time. The cheery, pink haired girl had noticed something missing in the last few weeks, an abnormality in her beloved Wonderlands x Showtime. She strolled quietly past the park's bright scenery, deep in thought. Observing the shimmering stars, she thought over and over about what to do. She dragged her brushed her hand across the park's rough cement, thinking. Got it. Emu approached the (usually) energetic blonde that was Tsukasa Tenma. He looked troubled today. Maybe Tsukasa knew what was happening, she thought.
Then she noticed: the familiar glimmer in Tsukasa's eyes was gone. His usual blazing suns-for-eyes were simply not there anymore. They used to burn brightly with his passion for being a world future star, but right now Tsukasa just looked dull and pensive.
"Wondahoi!!!!! Hi, Tsukasa♪" Emu greeted.
Tsukasa nearly jumped. He was probably zoning out, Emu thought. That doesn't happen often. The girl's concern grew. Tsukasa looked shaky and restless, like a miserable, dripping wet cat. He managed to squeeze out the words, "ask..others...meeting...cafe 10:00 am."
Emu nodded hesitantly. She hadn't understood half of what the star had just said. Emu trembled slightly in her jacket. What was this "meeting" even going to be about?
Walking home, Emu's overthinking nearly swallowed her whole. Her mind swarmed with thoughts like "What is he gonna do?" "Why is everybody so sad?" "Do they hate me...?" and she nearly fell over. Eventually, though, she managed to escape the thoughts of her possibly being annoying and useless. She couldn't sleep that night.
The next day, Emu woke up around 4 am. In all her stress, she'd completely forgotten to text the others aabout the meeting. "meeting @cafe 2day 10am!!! :3" was all she managed to send to the group chat before plopping into her chair and picking at the marshmallows in her cereal.
At around 9:30 AM, Nene arrived on Emu's doorstep to walk to the cafe with her. Emu's worries immediately melted at the sight of the gorgeous green-haired girl. Maybe one day Emu would confess her feelings for this girl, but definitely not anytime soon. Nene turned gracefully, and they went off on their walk.
As the girls strolled further, Nene's hand brushed against Emu's. The green-haired girl's face turned red and she looked away in embarrassment. Emu just smiled and kept walking. Her heart had just gotten a little bit lighter. When they reached their destination, they spotted a familiar purple and blue haired figure; the sleepless inventor that is Rui Kamishiro.
"Hi Rui!!!!" Emu greeted. "Hi Emu, hi Nene!" Rui responded cheerfully.
The three were dressed in fairly casual clothing, Emu's outfit having a pop of color every now and then, of course. She noticed the others' outfits, and concluded she had made the right clothing choice. The girl looked to the left side and right side of the cafe, not seeing any signs of Tsukasa.
"Boo..." A yellow-haired figure said weakly, popping up in front of the three. "Hello you guys."
"HI TSUKASA!!!!" Emu half-screamed. Tsukasa flinched, and Emu felt a twinge of guilt. She shouldn't have done that, she knew he was nervous. The three locked eyes with Tsukasa as they all sat down at a rusty cafe table, nervously sipping their drinks. Rui swirled his cup of iced tea. "So, what is it you wanted to tell us, Tsukasa?" "I..err...how do I say this.." Emu fiddled with her jacket. "I don't...I don't want to be a star anymore."
