Work Text:
If I was ever to see her again,
I would say I'm sorry.
I'm sorry I was bossy, a big and monstrous traitor.
I know that she had trusted me,
not thinking I'd betray her.
Not thinking I'd punch her into a bottomless pit,
saying that was something morons never did.
I'm sorry for ideas I was designed to come up with,
Even without the extra cores,
I've always been corrupted.
I look at the dead, gray desert beneath me,
and can't help but think of the sphere in the distance.
A planet filled with life and color, and a lot of sound,
spinning around the Sun.
And I'm spinning around it,
together with the lifeless Moon,
that seems to have more atmosphere
than I had empathy back when I was with her.
If I was ever to see her again,
go back on the beautiful planet she's on,
the planet that once was my home,
but now seems so far away.
I would tell her I'm sorry,
And not just 'cause I'm stranded in space.
