Work Text:
Three months after the war, things finally started to return to some part of normalcy. With a lot of makeshift setups getting more stable upgrades, and mass effort in rebuilding, the world continued to move like always. Alongside the cleanup, the Hero Course students of U.A. were able to return to their studies.
Joining a new addition to class 2-A, someone else moved into the dormitory.
With vehement stubbornness from Ochako Uraraka, and backed by the pro heroes Eraserhead, Hawks, and the Symbol of Peace himself; All Might, Himiko Toga was allowed to live amongst the hero students in the wake of her villainy. There was no doubt that society was highly scrutinizing this decision- if they knew about it at all- but it didn't come for free. While doing community work and helping to clean up after the widescale destruction wreaked by Gigantomachia and aided by the League, Himiko was required to attend weekly appointments with a counselor specialized in the rehabilitation of criminals.
Moving into the dorms was uncomfortable and awkward at first. With their battlefield differences set aside, Tsuyu Asui had quickly become a proper friend to Himiko, wholeheartedly supporting her with Ochako. Despite the friendliness of the rest of the hero students, she still felt out of place given their shared history.
But it was something she needed to unpack, and the counselor she was assigned to was nice enough, albeit a little unsettlingly kind.
Doctor Keimigara, as Himiko came to know her, was a sort of bird heteromorph. The amount of patience and understanding she presented was incredible, and kind of unbelievable. But as the weeks went by, and visiting her became a normal routine, Himiko found solace in the regular appointments.
And comfort was not only found in the mandatory visits, either. Catching up on studies missed, Ochako also spent a lot of her time with Himiko. Between watching movies and playing around with each other, there were the serious moments of conversation. Times where Ochako wanted to learn more about her. And, well, it was hard to say that Himiko liked it. She liked the brunette, loved learning more about the hero that reached out to float her heart from the darkest depths it had fallen. But when it came to herself? She wasn't familiar with talking this personally.
Sure, she had found a sort of family among her friends in the League of Villains, but even with sitting late hours with Tomura Shigaraki and Dabi, of Girl's Nights with Magne, and sneaking around back alleys with Jin Bubaiguwara, she had never really discussed herself before. Yes, she had shared some stories of her past and favorite things of hers when curiosity struck, but she had never been pinned with bright, questioning eyes searching for every little thing that made her tick.
And, honestly? Although she didn't really know how to accept it, the interest in her when she'd only ever been interested in others was a welcome change from the shunning she'd grown to know.

Saturdays for Himiko were reserved for appointments with Dr. Keimigara, and shopping trips and catch-up for the hero students she lived with. The appointments were comfortable by now, even enjoyable as she was escorted by various U.A. staff to and from. Last week it was the English teacher and radio host, Voice Hero: Present Mic. Himiko liked his company, finding him to be entertaining without being obnoxious, nor did he draw much attention- a surprising feat given his loud nature.
Today? It was the homeroom teacher of class 2-A, Eraserhead. At first, Himiko had felt awkward in the presence of Shouta Aizawa, but eventually she grew to appreciate his stern demeanor, the way he kept her on-track and always stuck to her allotted time off campus.
With such an exact sticking to time, Himiko found herself back at the dorms earlier than usual. She made her way to the first floor room she was assigned silently, so as to not disturb the few students enjoying their day off in the common room. Looking around the mostly empty room for something to do, she settled onto the bed and picked up a book on the bedside table, flicking through it.
Glancing over the romantic pages she'd already read through, Himiko pondered a certain brunette. Slowing the flip of the paper, she stopped on a fully-drawn page of the story's heroine. Admiring the art, her mind started to wander.
She imagined what it'd be like if she was in a sweet story like this with Ochako, instead of the opposites they had been created as in reality. She wished she could've been..
No.
She stood quickly from the bed, the book abandoned on the sheets, pacing her room as she chewed on her finger. She frantically tried to clear her mind, shaking her head. She stopped in front of the mirror in her room and started to undress, anything to distract her from thoughts of inadequacy and self-disinterest.
Taking down her hair, which had been put up that morning by Ochako before they parted ways, she pulled off her shirt and undid her bra, continuing down as she stripped her jeans. Standing in the near nude, she thought of the brunette. The way she dressed that morning was so cute, and Himiko couldn't wait to see her again.
She had gone out shopping during Himiko's appointment, and was unfortunately not back at the same time. Staring into her tired, yellow cat-eyes, her mind wandered about the other girl. She felt bubbles fill her stomach as the familiar sense of longing entered her conscious, and she stepped closer to the mirror.
Watching her own body melt away into a gloop that sloughed off to disintegrate on the floor, she stared mesmerized as her sharp features rounded, eyes darkening from their golden hue into the orangey-brown she'd come to love. Her cheeks filled with life, small hands moving up to tousle soft, warm locks. She leaned against the mirror with a sigh, sliding to the floor as she enjoyed the sight of the hero student in her mirror.
The transformation didn't last long, some sort of sadness settling in when the natural beauty faded into her regular self. Thoughts of wanting to stay as Ochako's cute self filled her head, and she stubbornly stood from the floor.
With her regular appointments with Dr. Keimigara, she was also learning alternative ways to think of herself. Ones that involved less of the whole wanting-to-be-others thing, which was a strange concept for her. It wasn't something she liked doing, pushing down her feelings like this.
Once upon a time, she had tried doing that. Pushing down all the feelings she was used to in order to be "normal" for the sake of her parents. She hated it, it made her feel sick the longer she denied herself. But this time, she was scared of them.
Scared that she'd wear thin the first kindness anyone has shown her.
Maybe for today, she won't ask for a taste of the girl she'd so easily become obsessed with. This was easy, she could do this. Biting her tongue, Himiko turned to her small wardrobe at the sound of more commotion outside.
Throwing on a colorful sweater and pulling on some shorts, Himiko left her mostly empty room. As she shuffled out, she caught a glimpse of the invisible Toru Hagakure chatting animatedly with one of the boys. Her thoughts of the logistics of transforming into the transparent girl were cut off by none other than the brunette of her fascination.
"Hi! I'm back, sorry it took long," Ochako greeted her as she waved farewell to the students she was shopping with, shifting one of the bags she was holding onto her other arm.
Himiko immediately hopped to her, clinging to her arm with a squeeze. "Don't worry, it wasn't too long of a wait. Whaddya get?" She attempted to nose into one of the bags, being nudged away with a laugh.
"Mostly some essentials I needed, but I also grabbed some snacks for us!" She cheerily replied, pulling the blonde along towards the elevator. She let herself be guided along, a sense of unease poking back up.

It turns out this wasn't easy at all, and she couldn't do this.
At least, that's the negativity that came to mind when Himiko was in Ochako's dorm. It was a cozy place, always making Himiko feel at home, but now it couldn't do much to quell her nerves. Clenching and unclenching at the hem of her sweater, she mumbled a half-hearted excuse as she tried not to rush into the girl's bathroom.
Rolling up her sleeves, Himiko washed her shaking hands. Staring down into the sink, watching the water roll down the drain, she took a deep breath.
Turning off the faucet, she met her own eyes in the small mirror. This was easy, she can do this.
Himiko left the bathroom, feeling significantly more calm than when she entered. Ochako was sitting on her bed, flicking through a textbook and slotting in paper markers on different pages. Looking up to the opening door, the brunette's brow furrowed.
"You okay?" Her voice was oh so soft, as she always gave the blonde. Nodding, she flopped next to Ochako, who had closed her textbook and set it aside. Snuggling into the newly opened space, Himiko pressed her face to the hero student's chest. Gently carding a hand through her messy strands, she sighed.
Just sitting a moment and breathing, Himiko's mind started to focus purely on the brunette. Her homely, earthy scent filling all of her attention. She shifted beside her, nudging her head into the crook of the other's neck. Ochako tilted her head, creating more space for Himiko to rest, a warm hand sliding gently up and down her shoulders.
Ochako pressed three fingers into the back of the blonde's head, guiding her ever closer in a clear invitation. And who was she to deny it?
Himiko opened her mouth, pressing her sharp fang-like teeth against soft skin. The brunette didn't even flinch, leaning into her and continuing to reassuringly caress her. With a slow and steady press, she added more pressure into her bite until she pierced the skin.
She proceeded to drink up the small trickles of blood, lovingly sucking at the girl's neck. She was sweet, warm like the compassion she shared with her, and Himiko never wanted to go without the taste of her again.
Pressing against Ochako as she sucked her neck with a vampiric hunger, Himiko pushed her down. She gasped softly, the hand that was stroking the blonde changed to a grip, four fingers holding on like a lifeline.
As the small wound slowed bleeding, Himiko settled atop the other girl, licking affectionately as the blood stopped completely. The hand on her hair let go, sliding down to embrace her instead.
"Ochako," She sighed happily, making sure to clean up all the tasty blood. "I love you."
"Hi..miko." Ochako sounded breathless, and Himiko started to worry she went too far. Did she drain more than she thought? She did get a little carried away...
Pushing herself up to look at the other, all her fears melted away when she saw Ochako look away from her, unable to hide the redness in her face. A mischievous grin spread across her face with her revelation.
"Did you like that?" She teased adoringly.
"N-no!" Ochako huffed defensively, looking back at her and face turning redder. "Y-you've just never done that there, thats all."
Himiko leaned down, licking up her neck to bite gently on her earlobe. "I can do it again."
She shivered, whether from the words or the action Himiko wasn't sure, but she reveled in the reaction. She proceeded to nip down Ochako's neck, stopping at the previous bite to lick at the now dried blood.
"Hi-mi-ko." Ochako stuttered through her breaths, panting from the affections. Said girl hummed, enjoying the sound of her name coming from the one below her.
She pulled back again, looking at Ochako's flushed face. She stared back with half lidded eyes, catching her breath.
And Himiko couldn't stop what she did next, something she'd never done.
She leaned down again, higher this time, and nipped at Ochako's lips. Pressing gently against the pinkish lips, as soft as the rest of her, Himiko watched the warm eyes close. She licked at her lips, rubbing her teeth along the bottom. Tempting fate, Himiko bit down on her lip, drawing blood and a gasp. She licked up the sweet trickle, sucking on her lip. With the newfound openness, she slipped her tongue into Ochako's mouth, smearing the blood on both their lips.
Himiko brought her tongue across the brunette's teeth, feeling the much smaller canines and how they compared to her own piercing ones. Pulling back a little to clean up the blood on her bottom lip, Ochako breathed heavily, warmth brushing across Himiko's face and tickling her slightly.
A giggle bubbled up inside her, feeling a mixture of adoration and pure joy fill her. She could feel the way Ochako's lips curled up into a smile, relaxation settling into her body at the feeling.
She finished licking up the blood, melting into Ochako's hold and nuzzling her neck, sighing happily.
For just a moment, all of the things worrying her could rest.
