The Project

Summary:

Aizawa assigns a project to create short films in order to showcase their acting skills. Jiro suggests a music video.

Todoroki makes a surprisingly good Yandere.

Notes:

I would recommend listening to Smoke and Mirrors by Jayn sometime, before, or during the fic to get the full effect.

I don't really know what this fic is, but enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The Friday morning bell rang, and the room went silent. Aizawa walked into the classroom, dragging his sleeping bag behind. He placed it against the wall and turned to the class, putting his hands on the podium.

“Alright, today I will be giving you all a very special assignment.” The whole class perked up at that. A special assignment? Would it be something normal, or something totally over the top?

“Throughout the week we have been talking about your image, how to handle interviews, how to act, and how to say the right thing. So, it should be no surprise to you when I say that the ability to act is very important. That’s why you’ll be creating your own short films.”

“What!” Half the class yelled.

“Oh, this is going to be so awesome!” Ashido squealed.

“Everyone will finally get to see me as the star I really am!” Aoyama said.

“I don’t know if this is a normal school thing or not, but I don’t really care!” Kaminari enthused.

“Alright. Settle down.” Aizawa said and in an instant the room was silent.

“This project will be done in groups of five,” friends began to look towards each other, “that have already been chosen for you.” A collective disappointed sigh went through the class.

“You can do whatever you want for your project as long as it’s somewhat school appropriate.” He began passing out a rubric and project sheet to everyone. “The video must be at least 5 minutes long and a maximum of 15. The video must be completely original, no using a script you got online.

“At least three of you must be in the video itself, but the other two must help as well. You need to put what you did in the end credits, as well as write what you did every day on your project sheet. You will get both an individual and collective grade, so you better make sure no one in your group is slacking off.”

Done passing out the papers, Aizawa returned to the podium. “You can check out cameras from the library. You will have a full week to complete your video, next Friday we will be watching the videos you have all made, and I will grade them. You should use the rest of this class period to discuss with your partners what you are going to do.” He turned to the board and began writing. “Here are your groups.”

Group 1- Koda, Mineta, Shoji, Tokoyami, Asui

Group 2- Ojiro, Hagakure, Kaminari, Bakugou, Kirishima

Group 3- Sero, Ashido, Aoyama, Sato, Iida

Group 4- Midoriya, Todoroki, Uraraka, Jiro, Yaoyorozu

Midoriya smiled, he would get to work with Uraraka and Todoroki. Sadly, Iida and Asui were left out, but he was happy to work with Jiro and Yaoyorozu.

“Now group up and discuss what you’re going to do, or not… whatever.” With that, Aizawa got in his sleeping bag and went to sleep.

The class immediately broke out into excited conversation and began splitting up into their groups. Todoroki, Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, and Jiro crowded around Midoriya’s desk.

“So… do any of you have any ideas?” Midoriya asked. He loved taking notes and observing things, but writing original content was not his thing. Jiro’s cheeks colored a bit.

“Um… actually I do have an idea, but I don’t know if you guys will like it…”

Yaoyorozu put a hand on Jiro’s shoulder. “We won’t know if we’ll like it until you tell us.”

“Yeah!” Uraraka put in. “I’m sure it will be a great idea! What is it?”

Jiro’s blush deepened, but she continued. “Well, Aizawa said it could be any type of video, so I was thinking maybe a music video… with one of my original songs of course.”

“Oh! That would be really fun!” Uraraka said. Todoroki nodded.

“Do already have a song in mind?”

“Y-Yeah, and if we do that one it would have to be you, Midoriya, and Uraraka in the actual video and either you or Midoriya would have to sing the song.”

“Todoroki will sing!” Midoriya blurted before blushing at how loud he had been. “I-I mean he is really good at singing.” Todoroki cracked a small smile and kissed Midoriya’s head.

“Really? You sing Todoroki?” Yaoyorozu asked.

He shrugged. “It’s a more recent hobby.”

Jiro nodded. “That’s perfect! I think the role would suite you more anyway.”

“Okay, okay, I can’t take it anymore, what is the song?” Uraraka asked.

“Well… I wrote it back when I was really into yanderes-”

The week passed by in a blur, the class barely got anything else done besides their videos, but by the time Friday came around, everyone was extremely excited to see what their classmates had done.

When they walked into the classroom that morning, they saw a large TV had been moved into the room. Excited chatter filled the air, but no one let what their video was about slip. It had been like that all week. Everyone wanted the videos to be a surprise.

“I hope you guys like ours!” Ashido said, “We didn’t have anyone who was good at editing, so it’s kinda choppy.”

Iida pushed up his glasses. “That may be true, but we did the best we could with the limited time frame and resources.”

“I’m sure it will be great!” Midoriya said.

“Midoriya, I’m really excited to see your group’s video. Kero.” Asui said.

“Yeah!” Ashido popped in. “I mean we have all been really secretive about we have been doing, but your group has basically vanished from the dorms since we got the assignment.”

Sero nodded, “And I heard you guys got special permission from the principal to use the basement. What have you guys been doing?”

Yaoyorozu smiled. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”

Kaminari sighed, “I know, but I can’t wait!”

“Well, we won’t have to wait any longer, class is about to start.” Iida said. He didn’t even have to ask everyone to get in their seats, they were already in them, waiting for class to start with excitement.

The second the bell rang Aizawa walked into the classroom. All eyes were on him as he pulled out a laptop from his sleeping bag and hooked it up to the tv.

“You all sent in your videos, so we’ll be watching them now. I will be grading as we watch, and I’ll give you all your overall grade before you leave class. I’ll give you your individual grade tomorrow.”

He pulled a chair to the side of the classroom and sat down with a pen and notebook in his lap. “The first video is group one.”

Asui’s group had made a noir like short film, with Tokoyami as the main character. Mineta played the victim, and Shoji the villain. Koda had gotten some animals to play parts in the film as well and Asui had been the camera woman.

The story line was very basic, the villain killed someone, and the main character went to investigate. The clues lead him to a zoo where the zookeeper guided him around and he was able to solve the mystery. After a chase scene he managed to catch the villain.

The acting wasn’t terrible, if cheesy, and the cut scenes were not the best, but overall, they did well on the basic short film.

Everyone clapped when the 10-minute film was over.

“That was great!” Kirishima said.

“I liked the part with the bear, I mean the villain had the bear eat the remains to hide the evidence, genius.” Sero said.

“Where did you even get a bear?” Yaoyorozu asked Koda.

Koda blushed and signed, “My parents are zookeepers. They were able to let me use him to help train my quirk, because I’m a hero in training.”

“Alright.” Aizawa said, silencing the room again. “The short film overall was well put together. The acting was cheesy and could be a bit better, but for the most part you did well.” The group smiled at each other. “Some of the transitions were clunky, but nothing too bad. You showcased your acting in a variety of settings. The bear was unexpected, but a great use of your quirk for the project. Your group grade is a solid B.”

The group cheered. Aizawa clicked a button on the laptop and the next video popped up. “Next is group two.”

What followed was a high action short film of a “villain fight.” Bakugou of course played the hero, and Kirishima and Ojiro played the villains. Kaminari and Hagakure were background characters and civilians needing rescue. Almost the whole video, fifteen minutes on the dot, was a high-octane flashy fight in what must be one of UA’s training grounds involving: a bank robbery, a highspeed chase, a villain monolog, a hero monolog, and an exploding building.

What little acting there was, if you could call it that, was done by the villains and victims. Bakugou, or King Explosion Murder, his hero name in the film, was really just himself. He made no effort to change anything for the film.

The fight had some cool moments, and the background music was a good fit, but overall, it was too much action and not enough plot for Midoriya.

As it ended, they clapped. Bakugou looked proud of himself. The credits showed that Hagakure did most of the filming, while Kaminari did the editing.

“Good job you guys!”

“That ending shot with the exploding building was epic!”

“Very cool Bakugou!”

“As a whole, the film was well put together.” Aizawa said over the noise. They quieted down. “The filming itself was very well done, some of those shots wouldn’t have been easy to get. Good job Hagakure. Kaminari, good job on the editing. The acting, however, left much to be desired.”

Aizawa looked down at his notes. “Kirishima, your villain monolog was cheesy which was fine, but you were hesitant in your words and stilted in a way that was easy to see you were reading from a script. In fact, all of you were the same.” The group looked a bit put out by his words.

“Bakugou, you didn’t have the same problem as the others, but that’s only because you weren’t acting at all. You simply acted how you normally would in a situation but used a different name.” Bakugou scoffed.

Aizawa sighed, “The film itself was surprisingly good. The action was well choreographed and the sequences flowed well together, but you missed the point of the assignment, to showcase your acting skills. Despite that, I’ll give your group a B. You missed the point, but I can’t fault the film itself.”

“Ah man! I was so sure we aced the assignment!” Kaminari said.

“It was still super epic!” Sero said.

Kirishima nodded, “we were super manly!”

Bakugou clicked his tongue and muttered under his breath, “It’s better than anything the other extras will have.”

Midoriya bit his lip to hide his smile.

Aizawa pulled up the next video. “And now is group three.”

Group three’s video could only be described as a romcom. It followed Ashido as she tried to confess her feelings for Iida. She and her best friend, Aoyama, came up with multiple plans for her to implement including, dropping items in front of him, running into him with bread in her mouth, not having an umbrella when it’s pouring outside, and even giving him a confession letter. Each attempt is rebuffed as Iida does not understand what is happening a misinterprets the situation.

Iida somehow always ends up doing something cool as well, such as handing Ashido a granola bar when she drops her toast after running into him. Midoriya has to reign in his laughter the first time it happens when terribly done Sakura petal graphics surround Iida on screen. Makeup had been done to make him look more “cool” and handsome, but it just ended up looking silly.

In the end, Ashido screams that she likes Iida after another failed confession attempt, and he responds with “I knew that.” He thought they were dating the whole time. According to the credits Sero and Sato apparently double teamed the editing and filming.

The class laughs as the video ends.

“I loved it!”

“Iida!” Uraraka laughs, “the makeup!”

Iida blushes and chops his arms, “Ashido and Aoyama insisted for the scene!”

Midoriya laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes. He wiped them away. “That was amazing Iida! I want to watch it again!”

“Ah…  I don’t think that’s really necessary…” Iida was bright red now. The class dissolved into laughter again.

“Alright. Settle down.” Aizawa called. After a few moments the last of the giggles faded out.

“Good job. It was clear you were not very experienced with the camera or editing, but you could also see how hard you tried. The Sakura petals, while extremely cheesy, fit the mood. The acting was decent as well. It didn’t feel like you were reading off a script. Iida, while some moments still felt like you, there were also times when you made a clear effort to appear as someone else for the character. Nice work.” Iida smiled.

Aizawa looked down at his notes, “While the editing could use some work, you nailed the point of the assignment with the acting. As a group you get a B+.” Iida sighed, but the rest of the group looked happy with their grade.

Ashido cheered, “Yes!”

“And finally, we have group four.” Excited whispers went through the class as the video loaded up. Midoriya smiled and shared a look with Todoroki, this would be fun. He could not wait to see his classmates’ reactions.

Birds chirp as the camera shows a few different scenes of a sunny day at the park. The trees, an empty bench, and some squirrels are all featured, before focusing on Midoriya and Uraraka who are hanging out under a tree. The camera is shot a distance away and is shaky like it’s being manually held. It seems to be hidden behind a bush. Someone is watching them.

Uraraka says something and though it can’t be made out from there, Midoriya bursts out into laughter. The distinct sound of a picture being taken is heard before the camera zooms even closer on the two and takes another picture.

The camera angle changes to show the front of the camera hidden in the bushes, the person behind it can’t be seen. The camera takes another picture.

The scene changes to later that day, inside a house. Midoriya is sitting at the table reading a book when the doorbell rings. He gets up to answer the door. A cold looking Todoroki is behind it.

“Oh! Hey honey!” Midoriya giggles and kisses him on the cheek. “You didn’t tell me you were coming over to-” Todoroki shoves him out of the way of the door and walks into the house, he’s not happy. Midoriya stumbles and looks at Todoroki in confusion but shuts the door calmly. He walks towards him.

“Hey, is something wrong?”

Todoroki glares at him coldly. “Yes, there is.” He throws a stack of photos onto the table. They slide across it, and Midoriya darts over to look at them only to freeze in shock. The camera shifts to show all the photos are of him and Uraraka when they were hanging out earlier that day.

The camera shifts back to Midoriya. “Why… Why do you have these? Were you following us?!” He yelled, panic lacing his voice. “Why would you do that?!”

The angle shifts to show Todoroki, his bangs covering his eyes. When he looks up a sad but crazed look has overtaken him.

I never meant to call you out.” Todoroki sang and a melody began to play. Todoroki stalks toward Midoriya, who backs up against the table, fear in his eyes.

“I’ve always seen behind your smoke and mirrors.” Todoroki reaches him and caresses his face. Midoriya tenses up. He steals himself and is about to speak up when Todoroki puts a finger to his lips.

“Oh, sweetheart, please don’t yell at me, it really isn’t hard to see, the truth that’s rotting underneath.” Todoroki picks up one of the pictures, this one featuring Midoriya and Uraraka in a café, and taps him on the head with it.

Todoroki turns and motions to all the different pictures on the table. “Why weren’t you honest from the start?”

The scene changes to a close up of Midoriya and Uraraka laughing under a tree from earlier that day. You know, I’ve always thought she must have liked you.

The scene changes again to the pair window-shopping, Uraraka pulling Midoriya along behind her. If you look closely, you can see Todoroki taking pictures of them from behind a bench. She’s just a temptress, don’t you know? She’ll say she loves you, even though, she only wants to steal your soul.

The scene goes back to Todoroki and Midoriya. Todoroki rips Uraraka out of multiple pictures and throws them back on the table. He turns back to Midoriya and smiles as he caresses his cheek. Midoriya is shaking. “I’ll save you.”

As the note plays out, the Todoroki and Midoriya are seen on multiple different occasions, each one assumed to be a different date. A café, a skating rink, the zoo, and a walk through the park. It settles on them on a couch kissing.

They stop and Midoriya says something, it’s not heard over the music. “You said you’d always be my friend.” Todoroki smiles at him, tears in his eyes. “That we’d get married when we both got older.”

Midoriya smiled brightly and kissed Todoroki’s hand, right over the ring finger.

“I’d never heard those words before, you made me long for something more, but then she tried to steal your love.”

The scene changes to the next day. It’s clear that Midoriya had stayed the night at Todoroki’s house. They were just finishing eating breakfast when there was a knock at the door. Todoroki answers it to see Uraraka there. Midoriya greets her, says something to Todoroki and leaves with her. Todoroki glares at her as they go.

“What’s with that look?”

The scenes shifts back to a closeup of Midoriya’s face, he’s panicked and scared, tears are beginning to pool in his eyes.

“Do you really think I’m out of line tonight?”

Midoriya pushes Todoroki away from him and runs for his phone across the table.

“Stop calling her name! If you play my game she may just make it out alive.”

Midoriya gets as far as unlocking the phone before Todoroki knocks it out of his hand. Midoriya looks panicked backing up against the wall as Todoroki approaches.

“I love you.”

Todoroki places a kiss on Midoriya’s trembling cheek, Todoroki pulls back and licks his lips clearing the tears on them.

“I’m not asking much, just give me your heart.”

Todoroki pulls back, seemingly yelling the words at Midoriya. He walks back to the table and picks up some photos.

“and put no one else above me,”

He holds up one of the many pictures of him and Uraraka, burning it to ashes with his flames.

“go on, say you love me!”

Midoriya doesn’t say anything, only trembles. Todoroki steps forward and grabs Midoriya’s hands.

“Take my hand in yours and tell me that I’ll always be the one,”

Todoroki’s face darkens when Midoriya remains unresponsive. Midoriya rips from Todoroki’s grasp and makes a run for the door.

“Without you, my life means nothing, so just say you love me tonight.”

Todoroki chases after him, easily catching up. He yanks Midoriya’s wrist, a furious look on his face.

“And if you lie, this poor girl will have to die!”

There is a close up of Midoriya’s face, his eyes widening in horror. Todoroki hits him on the head. The screen blacks out, only the melody playing for a few seconds.

“I’m sorry that I lost my cool…”

The screen comes to life again blurry and unfocused. It finally clears enough to see Todoroki standing close, a crazed grin on his face.

The angle shifts to show Midoriya tied down to a chair unable to move.

“As you can see here, I’ve been very busy…”

The camera focuses over Midoriya’s shoulder. On the other side of the room, Uraraka is tied to a chair. A gag is in her mouth, her cheeks and eyes are red with tears and there’s blood in her hair. She looks at Midoriya, straining against her binds.

“I found her number in your phone, asked her to meet me here alone, so we could talk just one on one.”

Midoriya is shaking, fear and tears in his eyes. His chin is forced up by Todoroki’s hand, and he’s forced to look at him.

“What’s with that look?”

Midoriya’s eyes are both terrified and glaring. Todoroki frowns.

“Do you really think I’m taking this too far?”

Todoroki kisses the top of Midoriya’s head above where he’s bleeding and begins to cross the room towards Uraraka.

“All you have to do, is swear that you’ll be true, and I will let her go right now.”

Next to Uraraka is a tray of tools. There were multiple scalpels and knives ranging in size, plyers, a hammer, and nails. Todoroki picked up a scalpel and looked at Midoriya from across the room.

“Just don’t lie.”

Ominous music with church bells begins to play punctuated by heart beats. Todoroki inspects the scalpel’s edge. The camera zooms in on the point for a moment. Uraraka whimpers through the gag and Midoriya’s cries echo in the room over the music.

“Don’t you understand?” Todoroki glares down at Uraraka. “He’s mine! You can never have him!”

Todoroki is shaking in rage, his face contorted in a dangerous snarl. He lights the scalpel in his hand on fire and begins to bring it to Uraraka’s skin. The camera angle shifts to show her terrified expression.

“Wait!” Midoriya screams. “We’re just friends! I thought you knew that!”

Tears and snot stream down Midoriya’s face as he yells. Todoroki pauses. His face twists.

“Don’t lie to me!”

“No! I swear we are just friends! You’re the only one I love!” The heart beats in the music get faster.

“You’re lying!” he roars. He brings his hands up to his face, the scalpel still in his hand. Ice and fire burst on his skin, his eyes seem to glow. He smiles, “but don’t worry.” His voice is sickly-sweet, “I’ll take care of her, and you’ll love only me again. We’ll be happy together. Forever.”

Midoriya screams and fights desperately against the binding in his chair. Uraraka trembles as Todoroki brings the flaming scalpel to her. The camera shows a closeup of Uraraka’s eyes. She shuts them. The screen blacks out.

A scream pierces the silence.

The music picks up again and the camera shows different shots, each blurred and shaky struggling to focus. A shot of Todoroki’s crazed eyes, the tray of tools, each item coated in blood, and different shots of Uraraka’s body burnt, frozen, and disfigured, blood everywhere. She can faintly be seen taking shallow breaths.

The camera sharpens to Todoroki smiling at Midoriya from across the room. He’s splattered in blood.

“No, I won’t fall for this again.”

The camera shows Midoriya still in the chair. His arms and legs are rubbed raw and bleeding where they’re tied down. His eyes are red, his face raw. His eyes are dull and unfocused.

“I’ll always see behind your smoke and mirrors.”

Todoroki walks around Uraraka. He grips her hair and yanks her head up. She lets out a silent cry, her eyes glazed over.

He makes eye contact with Midoriya, whose eyes begin to focus again.

“I know you love me deep inside, your simply caught up in her lie, so I will cut free myself.”

Todoroki drops Uraraka’s head. She slumps in on herself. He starts to walk towards Midoriya.

“I’m not asking much, just give me your heart.”

Todoroki slams his fist against his chest seemly screaming the words at Midoriya.

“and put no one else above me,”

He motions to Uraraka’s slumped form.

“please just say you love me!”

Midoriya stairs at him blankly, more tears streaming down his face. Todoroki grabs his chained hands.

“Take my hand in yours and tell me that I’ll always be the one, without you my life means nothing, so just say you love me!”

Midoriya stares at him and cries more but otherwise does not react to his words.

Todoroki stands abruptly yanking at his hair. He’s visibly getting more agitated.

“C’mon what’s the problem? Quit your crying, be a man!”

He’s practically snarling. His skin crackles with ice and fire as he loses control. He throws his flaming hand to point at Uraraka.

“Surely, she couldn’t mean that much,”

Todoroki’s eyes are pleading as he splays his hands against his chest.

“let me give you my love!”

His bloody hands claw at his chest over his heart, bundling the fabric in his hands. Midoriya only stares at Todoroki expression broken and blank.

“My soul, my heart and body, yes, I give it all to you,”

Todoroki’s face scrunches up in a snarl. He backs away from Midoriya, whose eyes track the movement.

“and if you still won’t accept it, you’re gonna regret it!”

Midoriya seems to come to life for the first time in a while. More tears track down his cheeks. He mouths “no,” but no sound is heard. Todoroki shakes his head and glares at him.

“I hate to play these games,”

The camera angles to show Todoroki’s hand as he reaches under his shirt by his waist and pulls out a gun. The gun gleams in the light.

There’s a close up of Midoriya’s eyes as he realizes what Todoroki has. The fear finally returns to them.

“but you’re driving me insane.”

Midoriya begins fighting against the binds again. He’s yelling something, pleading, but it’s not heard over the music.

Todoroki smiles sadly at Midoriya. He shakes his head and turns to Uraraka. She looks at him through glazed eyes clearly not registering what is happening.

“Won’t you tell me that you’ll stay, now that she’s not in the way?”

The music cuts out and the room is silent. The camera cuts to a wide shot of the floor. Todoroki’s shoes clacking on the cement is the only sound as his feet cross the bloody floor. He stops in front of Uraraka. A few seconds pass. The screen goes black just as a gunshot rings out.

The screen sits on black for a few moments before turning a faint purple as credits roll. Instrumentals of the song they just listened to play in the background.

Around the room the class was silent. Then they broke into pandemonium.

“What!”

“What the hell was that?”

“I didn’t think Todoroki could ever look so villainous!”

“Yandere Todoroki?”

“He really did the Yandere pose!”

“I can’t unsee that!”

“It was actually terrifying!”

More than a few eyes turned to Uraraka.

“I’m so glad you’re okay!”

“It felt so real!”

Midoriya smiled. Their film was a success! Todoroki met his eyes and smiled. Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, and Jiro looked just as pleased.

“You were going for a villain feel and you definitely succeeded if your classmates’ reactions are anything to go by.” Aizawa said, quieting the room.

“I wasn’t expecting anyone to go the music video route but well done. It seemed professional level. Jiro, the music and editing were very well done. Yaoyorozu the camera work and different angles was excellent. The special effects makeup you did on Uraraka was lifelike.” Yaoyorozu smiled.

“It sure was…” Kaminari said. A few people around the room shivered.

“Midoriya and Uraraka, good work on the acting. It was startlingly real. I would prefer not to see you like that again though, real or otherwise.” Agreements echoed through the room.

“Todoroki, the vocals were great. The acting was terrifying. I don’t know what your classmates mean by ‘yandere’-”

“Oh my god.” Someone whispered.

“But you did the scary look well. You all managed to accomplish the point of the assignment with your acting and went above and beyond.” The group smiled at each other. “Having said that, your film was very dark. I asked for somewhat school appropriate and you had a heavily implied torture scene in there. While it was technically perfect, I need to take a few points for that. Still, that was an A worthy assignment.”

The group cheered. Bakugou scoffed but didn’t say anything more.

“Good work problem children.” Aizawa said. He shut the laptop and curled up in his sleeping bag. “The rest of the period is yours.” He lay down behind the podium.

“Todoroki you make a terrifying villain!” Kirishima said.

“Yeah, I’m not getting on your bad side!” Ashido agreed.

“The Yandere face though!” Hagakure said, “I never thought I would see you make that face, Todoroki!”

“Oh my gosh, yeah!” Sero put his hands up to mimic the pose.

Ashido shook her head, “No, that’s not quiet right.” She tried it.

“Naw, you guys are doing it all wrong,” Kaminari said trying it himself.

“It took multiple tries for Todoroki to get it down.” Yaoyorozu laughed.

“The trick was for him to use his quirk!” Uraraka said.

“And think of Midoriya!” Jiro added smugly.

Todoroki blushed and nodded. He brought his hands up to his face, looked at Midoriya and let both sides of his quirk crackle over himself.

Midoriya blushed a few startled gasps and laughter filled the room.

“I don’t think I have ever seen you so expressive Todoroki!” Ojiro said.

Todoroki dropped his hands and the quirk. “It was a challenge at first, but then I thought about someone trying to take away Izuku from me. It was easy from there.”

There were a few awkward laughs.

“I’m just glad you and Midoriya are alright,” Asui said to Uraraka.

Uraraka waved away her concern. “I know it looked scary but none of it was real! It was actually kind of fun!”

“You have to show me how you did Uraraka’s makeup!” Hagakure said.

“The music was great!” Kaminari said. He turned to Jiro, “You wrote it and did all the instrumentals right?” She nodded looking proud of herself.

“It was all her idea actually!” Midoriya said.

“You guys really outdid everyone!” Kirishima said.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about shitty hair! Ours was clearly better!”

“Yeah, don’t say that!” Uraraka laughed into her hand, “what about Iida’s dramatic Sakura blossom moments!”

The group burst into laughter.

Later that day, Jiro uploaded the video to her HeroTube account where she posted all her songs. The response was… explosive. #YandereShouto would be trending for weeks.

Notes:

Endeavor after the video comes out: What is this Shouto!
Todoroki: *Deadpan* I decided to let out my villainous side. (He would be so happy the video infuriates Endeavor.)

I hope you enjoyed this fic! It is one of many fics that I had in my incomplete folder. I kid you not, I started writing this in April of 2019 according to the word doc. I haven't touched it in years but have recently gotten back into the My Hero Academia fandom and decided since this one was "nearly" finished I should complete it. Of course, I ended up more than doubling its length without meaning to. Oops!

This fic is not beta read so if you notice any errors, please let me know. I think the tenses might be everywhere but I'm honestly not sure at this point. I starred at it too long.

I wasn't sure how to end it, but I think its okay?

Let me know what you thought below! Did I make you smile or laugh? If I did I accomplished my goal!

Thank you so much for reading!
