"Please techno, I'm a monster. I... I've tortured your brother, I manipulate our son... I don't know why I wanted to hurt anyone...I was supposed to be there for everyone. I...I'm not me..." Dream cried in a whisper as the blood dripped from his hand. "Please Techno I need to let you go…let me go" Dream pleaded.
"Dream...I...I" Techno didn't know what to say as he looked into Dream's eyes, those Emerald green eyes that now sat a deep green, filled with sadness. "Dream I can't… I can't... lose you"
"I know... I know but you need to let me go... I'm nothing but bad luck... it... it hurts Techno... please"
Techno, closed his eyes as he turned away from Dream. Was he being manipulated right now? It had to be that's all he does. Dream was right he had harmed Tommy, his brother, the kid he had known since he was a child. Then there was Ranboo, god there was so much Dream had done to Ranboo. But everyone on this server was like that, what made Dream different was the fact he had admin powers. However, that wasn't a good enough reason to die. Opening his eyes he quickly moved to grabbing Dream's hand, forcing him to let go as he threw the sword behind him and pulling Dream into a hug. Dream stood astonished as he buried his face into Techno's coat fur. Why didn't Techno kill him, he wasn't supposed to live. He was a villain, villains don't live in the end.
"Nothing separates you from them," Techno said as he closed his eyes, holding Dream closer.
"You're wrong, they're all good people...I...I created them this way. It's all my fault" Dream said as he tried to pull away, but Techno tightened his hold.
"They control themselves, you can't control a corrupted person..." Techno whispered as he touched his head on top of Dream's head.
"Your wrong... your wrong... I controlled them, I manipulated everyone..." Dream cried as his legs became jello, bringing him to his knees along with Techno.
"That wasn't you Dream... I know you and you never meant to harm anyone, you let them get under your skin... had you fallen victim to this server... that wasn't you, and you can't blame yourself for the wrong you were forced to do" Techno said as Dream cried into his shoulder.
“no…I…I manipulated…you” Dream said as he pulled off his glove, showing his wedding band, pulling it off, before throwing it at Techno who caught it. “I… I forced you to… to marry me” Dream said trying to find anything to make Techno change his mind.
“Then you made the best decision to do so. Dream you're the best thing to happen to me… After Philza… and potatoes… and… You know, never mind.” Techno said as he pulled Dream back into a hug.
Dream took it as he couldn't win, finally giving up and snuggling further into the hug. The stress and guilt finally took over as he cried harder into Techno’s cape, grabbing it tightly in his hands. Techno rubbed Dreams back as the space around them filled with his screams. Ranboo heard the screaming and was afraid something bad had happened as he ran over to the group, with Michael in his arms. As he made it to the clearing he was met with the sight of his parents in each other's arms, Dream crying as Techno comforted him. A sudden feeling of sadness washed over him, as he heard Dreams crying. Letting go of Michael's hand he took careful steps closer to the two before he dropped to his knees and joined the hug as he laid his head on Dream's back. Michael stood watching before he too joined in crawling into Ranboo's lap before hugging the other two, letting out a small cry of his own.
Dream froze, as he felt someone else hug him, and then another one, opening his eyes and looking down he saw it was his family. He was a monster...why were they hugging him? He had done so much wrong to Techno, killed his brother, tortured Tommy, and forced him to love him. Then there was Ranboo, the poor boy who was broken as soon as he got here, lived his life with no parents because of him, and as soon as he saw him he used that against him, forcing him to watch his friends suffer, forcing him to do so much wrong. Then there was Michael... he couldn't say much about Michael, but Dream was the reason his parents weren't together. He didn't know what happened between Tubbo and Ranboo, but he knew he played a part in it somehow.
"Dream... not everything you did was wrong... so stop thinking that," Techno said as if he was reading Dream's mind. Dream pulled away rubbing his tears before looking into Techno's Red eyes. Even after pulling away, Techno kept his hands around Dream, as Ranboo hugged Dream and so did Michael.
"Yeah, you are what brought us together... you brought me back to life" Ranboo said as he hugged Dream tighter.
"You created this server leading to Michael being here, with us now," Techno said as Michael looked up proudly at Dream with a smile. "But you also are the one who granted us our brilliant and gifted son. Who has super powers might I add" Techno said which made Ranboo laugh.
Dream felt his heart full of warmth as he smiled... a real smile. "You mean that?" He asked hugging Ranboo back as well as Michael.
"Yeah, so you can't end here. Not when we still need you"
"When I still need you" Ranboo added as he looked at his parents. Dream couldn't help but give a little chuckle at how cringe this all seemed but he didn't care.
"Ok... ill... I'll live for you guys," he said as he pulled them all into a hug.
They stayed like that in the snow before they heard someone approaching. Techno and Ranboo quickly grabbed their swords to protect Dream and Michael, who climbed into the older man's lap as he played with his mask that was on the floor. As they got ready to attack a voice cut through the forest.
"Hey mates you up here... oh hey guys... I see you found Dream"
"Phil... how did you get out here"
"Oh, I found a letter on your desk with many papers. It mentioned he was leaving and the crows found him a while ago, something about seeing him on a mountain over the SMP."
"Phil... you know and didn't message me"
"I did mate" Techno quickly opened his communication only to see he did have a message from Phil.
"Oh... ha guess I missed it," Techno said as the sound of someone else approaching, turning they saw Sapnap with a face of worry. Drawing their swords they looked at him.
“Ha…have you seen Dream?” He asked, concerned about all the swords pointing at him.
“What is it to you fire boy,” Techno said, giving him the glare that could kill.
“Guys it's fine… I told him I was here” Dream said as he had gotten back to his feet, walking away from the group. Before being brought into a hug by Sapnap.
“It's good to see you,” Dream said before getting slapped by Sapnap.
“How dare you think about killing yourself”
“I'm sorry”
“That's okay, I'm just glad you're back”
“I know”
They all soon decided it was time to go home, Michael joined Ranboo and Dream riding behind Techno, fully covered so he couldn't be noticed by anyone who might pass them. As the wind blew Dream felt happy, maybe everything he saw in limbo was wrong, maybe he could make his wrongs right. But he was going to need time a lot of time but now he didn't feel as alone as before.
