The twins stared at the pearly gates of Cornucopia High. Juliana sighed sadly, today was the worst day of her life. It was way too bright out this morning, too early and all these stupid kids were TOO loud.
Their mother had recently gotten married to a new rich man and now this man had sent them to this stupid school. Juliana was fine at her old school with her old friends and old life and now everything feels turned upside down. Florian nudged his shoulder with her grabbing her attention.
“Chin up Jules!” her preppy twin brother chirped at her. “This will be fun! Think of all the new friends we're gonna make!”
The girl scoffed. New friends? She had all the friends she needed back home, why did her mom and that STUPID man she married have to rip her away from her home? Juliana took another deep sigh and put her hoodie over her head, inserting her headphones into her ears.
“Whatever Flores.” Juliana scowled at him “We were happier back in Galar, and now everything sucks. I hate our new dad.”
Florian rolled his eyes in response. “Girl I hate him too but we can’t keep sulkin’ about it. We just need to adapt and try to find a light in this everlasting darkness.” he put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
Juliana gave him a soft smile but still couldn't help but feel the dread as the school bell tolls above them.
Time for class.
The twins said their goodbyes as they both went their separate ways to their respected class. Juliana pressed play on her ipod touch and played her favorite song.

She walked through the crowded halls, a few eyes glancing her way. Her long dark and braided hair swayed in the wind as she walked through the halls. The raven haired girl tried to ignore them, she could tell they were talking about her. They were always talking about her, Laughing at her.

A foot suddenly made contact with Juliana’s, making her fall in front of everyone. She looked up and several people were laughing at her including the person who tripped her
“Haha! FREAK!”
“WATCH IT EMO GIRL!”
Tears swelled in Juliana’s eyes. This day truly sucked and she hasn’t even made it to Algebra class yet.
“A-are you ok?” a soft, somewhat angelic voice suddenly cut through the cruel laughter.
Juliana looked up and was met with angelic, golden eyes with smokey black eyeliner lining his onimous orbs. He had the most beautiful raven hair with purple undertones. He was wearing black ripped skinny jeans, a black My Chemical Romance shirt with black and white striped sleeves, and high-top converse. He was also wearing a Hot Topic striped knit cat hat just like hers!
The boy offered his hand to Juliana who gradually took it. His hand was warm and a lot bigger than hers, it made her blush.
“T-thank you…uh…” Juliana stuttered
“Kieran. My name is uh…Kieran.” the boy with the dusty eyeliner replied.
“Thank you Kieran <3” Juliana said, giving his hand a squeeze. “I’m Juliana.”
“No problem, uh…you're new here right?” he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.
“Yeah my brother and I just started today…” Juliana answered, putting a piece of hair behind her ear. Kieran blushed in return, taking a piece of his hair and twirling it flirtingly.
Suddenly a voice interrupted their conversation.
“Hey lovebirds, go makeout in your freak nest or whatever.”
“Hey!” Kieran flipped his middle finger off at the bullies “Fuck you troll.”
Juliana laughed and joined Kieran in flipping off the preps. “YEAH! BITE ME PREP!!”
The bully preps laughed and mocked the couple but eventually went to class. Kieran hissed as the group walked away. Juliana sighed dreamily and bluashed even harder…..
‘Oh my god…he’s like a cat…meow hehe….’
“J-Just ignore those preps Juliana. They don’t understand what it's like to be an outsider.” Kieran said gloomy.
The two were still holding hands, Kieran realized this and quickly retreated his hand from hers, blushing.
Juliana felt a strange warmth in her cold soul when she looked at him. Kieran was so cool, cute, funny and probably her soulmate.
The late warning bell rang out in the hall much to the couples dismay. Kieran spoke first.
“J-Juliana…uh…do you wanna get lunch with me later?” he said blushing like an Applin on may day.
Juliana giggled and nodded. “I would love that…”
“Heh…cool.”
“Cool…”
The two broke their lovers' gaze and went off to their classes.
Juliana smiled. Maybe this school wasn’t so bad after all.
She still hated her step dad though.
