If someone told Adam a few years ago that he would be engaged to a guy like Lawrence Gordon, he’d think they were out of their mind. But here he was lying in their queen bed at 6am on a Monday. Monday mornings were always insufferable to the couple, Adam had classes and Lawrence had work.
When Adam was young he really wanted to be a vet. And he was fucked of all odds when he was put into that bathroom. But Lawrence kept his promise and came back for him. So with that new found chance of life, he enrolled into college to become a vet (on Lawrence’s rich doctor money of course.)
With his new education opportunity came with the worst part of being in school, waking up early. Of course it wasn’t so bad, he was cuddled up against Lawrence as their cats laid in the middle of them.
“Come on Adam, you need to get up. I have work and you have school” Lawrence finally sat up from the bed and placed a kiss on Adam’s forehead as Adam groaned and turned the other way.
“Stay with me Doctor Gordon, you are warm and I fear I may get hypothermia if you leave me.” Adam held Lawrence’s hand as he attempted to lay Lawrence back down.
Lawrence jokingly rolled his eyes before deciding to lay back down for just a few moments more.
“Oh Lawrence, my hero”
Adam immediately kissed Lawrence has he happily kissed his fiancé back.
“Mhm you’re welcome.” He wanted to cuddle with Adam also the fact that he was freezing too. He had remembered to turn up the heat for the two to not freeze to death for when they go to sleep at night.
Adam kissed Lawrence again as he of course moved closer to Lawrence. Lawrence was like a human heater so just being next to him made him feel so much warmer. “why are you so warm? how dare you make me freeze my ass off when you are always so warm”
Lawrence pressed his lips softly against Adam’s. He moved to get close to Adam as well. They were basically on top of each other at this point. “I don’t know. I can come warm you up though.” he said with his lips now back onto Adam’s. He kissed the man so softly. He was so gentle with Adam, he could never find it in him to really hurt him. Not again. He learned to be gentle because of Adam.
Lawrence was smiling throughout the kiss, barely wanting to stop and catch his breath. “You’re so fucking handsome you know…” He said smiling some more. “I love everything bit of you, top to bottom.” he smiled whispering sweet nothings into Adam’s ear. This was his boy, his man, his fiancé.
“Oh my god shut upp” Adam leaned closer to Lawrence’s touch. “you say this all day every day, i don’t think we’ve gone a day where you haven’t said something about how much you love my body” he chuckled kissing lawrence’s cheek
“Well it’s true. I adore it as much as I love you Adam. I love every dip and curve, every perfect imperfection.” Lawrence moved one of his hand’s to Adam’s hand and held it securely and ran his thumb over his knuckle. He was still placing small pecks on Adam’s chin and upper neck sweetly.
“Can’t be perfect if it’s an imperfection” Adam loved giving lawrence smart ass remarks, even in loving and comforting moments like the one they were having now. “Come on laurie, you’re supposed to be the smart one between us”
Lawrence only chuckles as he sat up again and gave Adam one more kiss. “Come on Doctor Stanheight, you need to check on Ella, I think she’s sick.”
Adam had to take a moment to realize that he’s actually becoming a vet now. If someone told teenage Adam that he’d be a vet with a fiancé and 4 cats he’d think they are a liar. But there he was, sitting up in their queen sized bed wearing Lawrence’s college shirt as he got up to take care of cats, like a true veterinarian would.
He could definitely learn to love this life even more than he already does.
