A leaf sat on the grassy fields embracing the sun and wind. It had been a peaceful day for leafy even tho lonely’ it was very nice and quiet she could hear the Cardinal’s chirping and the mourning dove’s singing. leafy was enjoying this peaceful evening.before she heard the sound of footsteps approaching her.
“Hello leafy.”A red thumbtack said with a bit of annoyance in her voice.
“Hey pin do you need anything?”leafy said in her always friendly tone
“Yes,I was wondering if you wanted to have a paint ball battle with me and some others, I was going to ask teardrop but I cant seem to find her.”
pin said.
Leafy stopped for a moment thinking. She was enjoying the peaceful sound of nature right about now but…..she was pretty lonely no one really wanted to interact with her and this was her chance to befriend people again and also do something fun!
“Of course pin I would love too!” Leafy said ecstatically.
The red pin help leafy off the grassy and lead her to the forest where everyone was waiting.
Leafy and pin finally show up after dodging tons tree branches and thorn bushes. leafy looked and saw firey,coiny, blocky,needle, flower and bubble. Once firey had finally noticed pin and leafy his expression changed.
“Why did you bring her here we thought you where getting teardrop!?”the inanimate fire said to pin’ a little bit agitated.
“I couldn’t find her so I brought leafy instead.”pin said
Firey stood there looking agitated and then he mumbled something under his breath.
It was almost time for the battle they just had to form teams , there where two teams
Firey’s team:coiny,blocky,flower
Pin’s team: leafy,needle,bubble
it was now time for the battle the two teams went there opposite ways pins team went left and Firey team went right, the four went deep into the forest until they hit a stopping point.
“Alright,bubble and needle you go that way and me and leafy will go this way.”pin said pointing at different directions
“Wah- why, won’t it be easier for them to ambush us if we do that?” Needle said
“Yes but- it will also be easier for us to ambush them if where not in a big group.”
Pin said answering needle’s question
“Alright fine”needle said walking away deeper in the woods with bubble
“Wow pin thank you for inviting me to play with you guys!” Leafy said with a smile
“No problem leafy-tho I wish teardrop was here.” Pin said also with a smile appearing on her
face
All of a sudden paint balls came flying through the air coating almost everything they hit
“Duck!”pin said as she pinned leafy and herself to the ground to avoid the paint balls
“Come on blocky you missed them!”flower said in the distance
Well maybe I would’ve seen them if you ugly petals weren’t in the way!” Blocky yelled flicking one of flowers petals in the process
The two could be heard arguing at each other.
Pin and leafy where glued to the floor almost centimeters away from kissing
Leafy blushed, a faint color of red spread across the leaf’s face
“Ah sorry….” pin said getting up and dusting her self off
“It’s fine” leafy said still a little flustered with pin extending her hand out for leafy to grab
The two then started to walk deeper in to the forest hoping not to get spotted by firey,s team,the two sat against a large oak tree to catch there breath after walking for so long.
Leafy sighed while sitting down “so what’s are next step?”
Pin sat next to her laying her gun to the side
“We’ll sit here for a while to catch our breath then go back”
After a minute of taking in the forest atmosphere then pin heard something very close by , pin grabbed her gun because she thought it was someone from firey’s team.A rustle comes from a near by shrub,pin aims and before she can shoot a red bushed tailed squirrel scurried out of it into the deep forest,pin sighs after finding the culprit of the sudden noise she looks back to leafy who gives her a worrying look.
”Why so tense pinly?”Pin about to answer stops for a moment and she look at the lime green leaf”pinly??”the thumbtack says a bit surprised and confused at the new nickname.”yeah pinly like if you had ly at the end of your name!”leafy says in her chipper voice.
pin stares at her for a moment before smiling again,she opened her mouth to say something before she I’d interrupted again,by needle running into there direction but without bubble”hide there coming!” Needle yells at the two.
Pin grabs Leafy’s hand and sprints out of there, leafy struggling to keep up behind,the two finally got to a point where it seemed like they where far away from there original position they stopped presumably at a river pin sat down on a large flat rock leafy sits next to her,they both stare at the river, it’s soothing white noise put leafy in to a trance,putting her to sleep, she leans on to pin,pin embraces leafys affection by putting a arm around the sleeping leaf.
pin blushes a neon green color while Listening to the near by birds she thinks about leafy and how nice she’s been to her and the others even tho they weren’t the nicest to her,pin thinks about there early days in goiky,leafy was the nicest of all of everybody ,she would bake cookies for you when you where down,she was the nicest person in goinky, she was practically friends with everyone even flower,..well before everything happened.
pin kinda feels bad about distrusting her for all those years…
Pin looks back at leafy she was kinda cute..Pin’s body tenses up and her face gets hotter “no I can’t-I just can’t not after all these years..” suddenly another gun goes off send birds flying out of there homes, the sun was setting and getting late , pin nudges leafy.
“H-huh?”leafy says half awake “it’s time too go, it’s getting late” pin replies,pin helps leafy of of the ground ,the two walk back to the field leafy was laying at ear that day, by the time they get there the sun is completely gone and it is now pitch black
“Thanks pin for inviting me to the game and being nice too me today!”
Pin was a bit appalled by this was she really mean to leafy all the time? Was this the first time she was nice to her within years?! Pin quickly shook of those feelings and just smiled at leafy
“No problem !”pin says with a huge grin,leafy looks at the red thumb tack and gets a bit closer and closer and…closer until there was no room in between their too faces, the kiss lasted for one minute but for pin it felt like 20, when they finally came apart pin was blushing like madness. “Any way bye pin~” leafy says as she walks in to the dark night but pin can only look and she processes what just happened.
