Sinking her teeth deeper into the meat, Sandrone ignored the pangs of pain radiating from her knees, mind completely focused on her meal.
Blood ran down her chin and she absentmindedly rubbed it away, flicking her hand in the air in an attempt to rid it of the liquid. Giving a small hum, she licked her lips, savouring the taste of meat on her tongue with big, pleased eyes.
She still remembered how the bunny had looked at her when she first stumbled across her in the woods on her daily route, with large, innocent eyes full of trust. Her heart had pumped for the first time in years and she found her hands twitching with a want that she only felt once she came upon the perfect prey.
And the bunny was the most perfect prey she had seen in a long, long time.
Ripping off a chunk straight out of the thigh, she found her right hand trailing through the puddles of blood and gore around her, tibits of muscles clinging onto her skin like hyenas onto a dying zebra. Giving a full chest shake, she motioned for the nearest robot to pick her up, rubbing the leftover blood from her hand straight onto her right leg like a lotion.
The harbinger let her mind flicker back to how the bunny had introduced itself, practically licking out of her hand within seconds. Giggling at the thought, she tucked a strand of dirty blonde hair behind her ear, blinking once or twice to test how long the image of shredded muscles and a stray bone or two on the floor would remain in her brain, craving to see it whenever she closed her eyes.
Hopefully, she would even see it in her dreams, whenever she would find the ability to sleep once more.
Sighing, ecstasy slowly faded from her … blood at the memory that she owed her partner a game of archery.
Eula had been right. Amber was the sweetest.
