The smell of perfume hits me like a bus, I decided to go to a small witchy shop in my area yokohama...a witchcraft shop that specializes In European practices
It was purely something to do beacuse I needed a break from the job I just got done with. The store Is quiet and smells like something floral the light from the sun leaks I'm through the open windows of the shop as I look through the different items...alot of things I am not familiar with at all however a little purple polished rock catches my eyes.
The note underneath the rock said it was called amethyst it was in the shape of a heart..It immediately made me think of my roommate. 'Her favorite color is purple and she likes to collect pretty things soo' I thought to myself trying to decide whether or not to get it for her.
'Fuck it' I thought and picked up one of the purple rocks holding it in my palm. I slowly go back to looking around the store...nothing else of I could find seemed to appeal to me execpt for a pair of earrings, shiny butterfly earrings. I decided I'd pick those up for her to. as I went to the counter to check out the lady in front of me gave me a weird look...
The young boy at the check out had to be no older than 16 or 17 "alrighty miss your total is 1300 yen" my mind stops for a moment "miss...? Im sorry im...not a girl.." He looks at me confused "oh I'm sorry for the mess up..sir..your total is 1300 yen than..." I look at him my expression not changing as a pull out the money I needed to pay for those things and walk out as quickly as possible
Around 20 minutes later I arrive home, I see yosano sitting on the couch watching something on the TV. "Hey akiko I got you something" she pauses the TV "Oh thanks iceman, you didn't need to" I shake my head
And hand her a brown paper bag. "Is there something wrong iceman you seem off..." a surprised look appears on my face and I shake my head ignoring her question "just open it" she gently takes the bag from my hands and opens it slowly. Her eyes begin to widen as she realizes what was inside she pulls out the earrings first "these are so pretty...." I look at her smiling at her ever so slightly "it reminded me of you, check what else is in there"
She peers into the bag taking out the rock "is this amethyst? It's cute" she speaks softly to me. "Oh I don't really know...I just remembered purple was your favorite color..."
