Work Text:

Furina didn't expect to find him there, she had no idea he had a meeting with Neuvillette, and she just stormed up into his office, when she found the human there instead of the Iudex

"Neuvi-...!!!... Oh, uh..." A grey and black head turned out to her, who could just clear her throat "I... Duke Wriothesley...". Her body adopting her 'Archon' posture.

The man, now totally facing her, made a small reverence "Lady Furina,Monsieur Neuvillette just left the office with Sedene, if you go now you could catch them, but in any case, they should be back soon".

Her eyes wandered around the Duke face, the papers he was holding (and probably reading before she got there). It was always so difficult to talk with the man, mostly because his case memories arose, the guilt and impotence growing in her heart.

She inhaled "Thanks to be so helpful with your Archon, I must retire now".

That said, a thing caught her sigh. It was a teapot, it seemed it just had boiled, the steam quietly escaping, while some drops rested in the slightly cloudy glass. A flower could be seen, resting in the middle of a brownish lake. "If you wish to wait here, I can offer you some tea" she could almost feel the grin adorning his face through his voice.

From her peripheral, Furina noticed a pair of blue eyes watching her with curiosity.

"Actually..." She cleared her throat again "Actually I would be gladly delighted to accept your offer" She got comfortable in the couch, one leg over the other, her hands crossed, trying to hide her nervousness while the human poured some tea in a cup and handed it to her.

"I hope my tea can satisfy our goddess's refined tastes" He teased, winning the pleasure to see a soft pink growing in the Archon ears.

"Ah!... Tha-Thank you... I mean thank you" She hurried to drink a bit to get away from her awkwardness.

Her eyes couldn't hide her surprise, "I-I must..." she stared at Wriothesley, who was drinking from his own cup, with a raised brow while looking at her. "I must admit it's perfect, I really like it. Just like the one you sent me that time".

Now, the man was the one who seemed a bit flustered. How unexpected, she thought. Then, a genuine smile appeared on his face.

Maybe Wriothesley wasn't that difficult to get along with.

Notes:

This was my first time writting Furina. The romance might be a bit too much subtle, but I hope you can enjoy it anyways.

Thank you for reading ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
