Itadori was staring at Fushiguro again. The way he looked when he was absorbed in his reading was just... cute, Itadori thought. It made him want to mess with Fushiguro. He wanted to tease him and get under his skin until Fushiguro glared at him.
Itadori loved it when Fushiguro got like that; when he was mad. Fushiguro would narrow his eyes and frown, the corners of his lips drawn down sharply. Itadori was almost addicted to getting Fushiguro to look at him with that expression. It was fun.
But then, when Itadori made him laugh or smile, Fushiguro's face would go all soft. His eyes would warm and his whole face would light up. That was the best.
But since it was really hard to make Fushiguro smile, he usually went for getting him mad instead. So he decided to do what he did best—annoy the hell out of Fushiguro. It wasn't hard, really.
"Fushiguro!" Itadori called loudly.
Fushiguro looked up and turned his head to look at Itadori, but didn't say anything.
"Why is there so much snow?" Itadori asked.
"Because it's winter, idiot," Fushiguro said, frowning.
Itadori sighed loudly, leaning his head against the back of the couch.
"Fushiguroooo, I'm bored," he whined.
Fushiguro closed his book, setting it aside. He glared at Itadori and Itadori grinned. There it was.
"Why are you even here? If you're just going to sit around and be annoying, you should go back to your room," Fushiguro grumbled.
"I don't want to go back there, it's boring."
"It's not my fault you're bored. You can entertain yourself, can't you?"
"But it's so much more fun if you entertain me, Fushiguro," Itadori said, grinning.
"Well, too bad. I'm not here to entertain you."
Itadori pouted, staring at Fushiguro's pretty face. His cheeks and nose were a bit pink from the heat inside the common room, making him look soft and adorable. Itadori's heart fluttered. He wondered how red he could make those cheeks.
"Wanna play video games?" Itadori suggested.
"No, thanks," Fushiguro said.
He opened his book again and continued to read.
"I'll let you win," Itadori offered.
"Still no."
"Come on, it'll be fun!"
"I said no. Leave me alone, I'm trying to read."
"I know, but—"
"Itadori, if you don't stop bugging me, I'm going to beat the shit out of you," Fushiguro said.
Itadori smiled. Something he loved even more than Fushiguro glaring at him was seeing him angry enough to threaten him. His voice always got really deep and low. It made Itadori feel all tingly.
Maybe he should take Fushiguro's threat seriously, since his face did look pretty serious. But Itadori just couldn't resist. He had to annoy him more.
"Whatcha reading?" Itadori asked.
Fushiguro groaned in annoyance and got up from the couch, walking away.
"Fushigurouuu," Itadori whined, standing up and following him.
"Go away," Fushiguro growled.
Itadori walked quickly after him, catching up to him easily. He walked beside him, but Fushiguro didn't look at him.
"Do you want to eat something?" Itadori asked. "We could make pancakes!"
"You can make pancakes. I'm going to bed," Fushiguro snapped.
"Wait, don't go," Itadori said.
"Leave me alone," Fushiguro replied, picking up his pace.
"But, Fushiguro—"
Itadori cut himself off, slipping on a patch of ice on the floor. He fell backwards, landing flat on his back. Fushiguro stopped in his tracks and looked down at him.
"Did you just... fall?" he asked.
"Maybe," Itadori muttered.
"On ice?"
"Yeah."
Fushiguro burst out laughing. Itadori's jaw dropped. He'd never seen him laugh like this before. He was bent over, clutching his stomach.
"Shut up," Itadori muttered.
"That's fucking hilarious," Fushiguro chuckled.
Itadori smiled a bit. Well, this was even better than making him mad. He wished he could see Fushiguro laugh like this more often. He was so beautiful.
"Help me up," Itadori whined.
"No way," Fushiguro laughed. "I'm not falling for that."
"Please?"
Fushiguro rolled his eyes. "Fine."
He held his hand out and Itadori took it. Fushiguro pulled him to his feet. He didn't let go of Itadori's hand and Itadori didn't want him to.
"I think you're the one who should go to bed," Fushiguro chuckled.
"Oh, no, I'm definitely awake now," Itadori said.
Fushiguro smiled. He had a cute smile.
"So... pancakes?" Itadori asked.
Fushiguro chuckled, pulling his hand out of Itadori's grip. "Sure, let's go."
---
Itadori wasn't sure why, but lately he'd been thinking a lot about sex. He didn't even know how that started.
At first he tried to ignore it, but it was hard. He'd never been this interested in sex before. Sure, he'd had some sexual thoughts about people before, but not like this. It was constant, and the more he tried to suppress the thoughts, the more they seemed to take over his mind.
He tried not to think about it. He really did. He would try to distract himself with training, or eating, or playing video games. But the thoughts were so distracting. He couldn't concentrate. He couldn't even sleep, because his dreams would turn sexual, making him wake up with a hard-on.
But the biggest problem was that every single thought about sex would somehow involve Fushiguro. He didn't understand why. Was it because they were best friends? But Kugisaki was his best friend too, and he didn't have any sexual thoughts about her.
So what was the problem with him and Fushiguro?
He was pretty sure it was just his mind being weird. That had to be it. It wasn't that he actually wanted to have sex with Fushiguro.
... Right?
No, of course not. Why would he want that? Fushiguro was just his friend.
But, then again, the thoughts didn't seem like normal friend thoughts. In fact, they were a little... specific. Like, they'd always be about doing stuff that friends definitely didn't do together.
Whatever, it was probably just a weird coincidence.
It was fine, Itadori thought, he could handle it. He didn't even care. All he needed to do was ignore the thoughts and eventually they'd go away.
He could totally do that.
It wasn't like he was actually thinking about it all the time. Well, maybe a little. But, honestly, it was mostly during the day, when he wasn't doing anything. Like, right now, when he was laying in bed and had nothing to do, his mind was completely occupied by the thoughts.
He tried not to think about them, but it was impossible. So, he gave up. He figured that if he let the thoughts come and just didn't do anything about it, then maybe they'd eventually stop on their own.
He also found himself annoying Fushiguro a lot lately, just so he could get his attention. He was hoping it'd distract him. But, of course, he ended up just making the situation worse, because when he'd tease and bother Fushiguro, the other boy would glare at him and get all cute and angry. And that just made the thoughts come back even stronger.
"Stop staring at me," Fushiguro said, snapping Itadori out of his thoughts.
They were sitting on the couch in the common room, playing video games. Or, well, Fushiguro was playing video games, and Itadori was sitting beside him, watching him.
"Sorry," Itadori muttered, looking away.
"What is your problem?" Fushiguro asked.
"What?"
"You've been acting weird lately. Why are you always staring at me like that?"
Itadori blushed. Shit, had he really been that obvious?
"No reason," Itadori muttered.
"Really," Fushiguro said skeptically.
"Yeah."
"Okay," Fushiguro sighed. "If you're not gonna tell me, at least try not to stare at me so much. It's creepy."
"Sorry," Itadori said again, looking away.
"Whatever," Fushiguro sighed, turning back to his game.
Itadori was suddenly hyper aware of the space between them. It was barely an inch. Itadori wanted to move closer.
He glanced at Fushiguro and noticed that he was biting his bottom lip, probably concentrating. He looked so cute, and Itadori's brain decided to imagine what it would feel like if Fushiguro bit him instead.
Shit.
That wasn't supposed to happen. The thoughts were just supposed to be normal, friendly thoughts. Like, what would it be like if Fushiguro cuddled him, or held his hand, or... kissed him.
Okay, fuck.
He shouldn't be thinking that. That was a line that friends definitely didn't cross. He needed to get a grip.
"Stop it," Fushiguro muttered.
"Sorry," Itadori muttered, glancing at Fushiguro and noticing the blush on his cheeks.
Was he embarrassed? Itadori wondered what he'd be embarrassed about. Maybe the fact that he'd just bit his lip? He'd looked so sexy doing that.
Fushiguro paused the game, getting up. "I'm going to the bathroom."
"Okay," Itadori said.
After Fushiguro left, Itadori decided to take a break. He laid down on the couch, closing his eyes. He took a few deep breaths, trying to clear his mind.
"Itadori?"
"Hm?" Itadori opened his eyes, looking up.
Fushiguro was standing in front of him. He didn't say anything, and just stared at him for a few seconds. It was a little weird.
"Fushiguro?" Itadori said.
"Nevermind," Fushiguro muttered, and walked away.
"What's wrong with him?" Itadori mumbled.
He didn't have a clue. Itadori wondered if he'd done something to make Fushiguro mad. Maybe Fushiguro knew that Itadori was having these weird thoughts about him and didn't want anything to do with him anymore.
That was stupid. Fushiguro couldn't possibly know. It was all just a coincidence.
But, still, Fushiguro had acted so weird just now. He hadn't even said anything, and he just left without an explanation. What the hell was that about?
Itadori groaned, frustrated. He hated not knowing what was going on. He felt like he was losing his mind.
He sat up, leaning against the arm of the couch. He watched Fushiguro as he came back and sat down on the other end.
"You okay?" Itadori asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Fushiguro said.
There was a heavy silence. They stared at each other for a few seconds.
"Is something wrong?" Itadori asked.
Fushiguro shrugged, looking away. "I dunno."
"What is it?"
"Nothing," Fushiguro said, looking back at Itadori.
"Is it about me?"
"Why would it be about you?"
"I don't know. You just seemed kinda off," Itadori said.
Fushiguro hesitated. "It's nothing, really."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah," Fushiguro said. "Let's just play."
"Okay," Itadori sighed, and handed the controller to Fushiguro.
They continued playing, and Fushiguro didn't seem as bothered anymore. But there was still a strange tension between them, and Itadori couldn't figure out why.
Fushiguro was acting different, but not in a bad way. It was almost like he was nervous. He kept glancing at Itadori, like he wanted to say something, but then didn't. It was really confusing.
Itadori decided that maybe annoying him a bit would help. After all, it seems to always loosen him up.
He decided to poke him. He reached his hand out and poked his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Fushiguro asked, looking at him.
"Annoying you," Itadori said, poking him again.
"Well, stop it," Fushiguro said.
Itadori grinned. This was working. He poked Fushiguro again.
"I mean it, Itadori, stop."
Itadori grinned, and poked him again. Fushiguro groaned, pausing the game. He grabbed Itadori's wrist, glaring at him.
"Quit it," he growled.
Itadori grinned. "Make me."
"Oh, I will," Fushiguro said, his tone dark.
Fushiguro pinned Itadori's hands down above his head.
Itadori gasped, feeling his heart rate pick up. This wasn't supposed to happen. This was bad. This was really, really bad.
"I warned you," Fushiguro growled.
He straddled Itadori's hips, keeping him pinned.
"F-fushiguro," Itadori managed to stutter.
"Now, are you going to stop bothering me, or not?"
Itadori could barely speak. He couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Fushiguro was basically sitting on his dick right now. His body was so close. His hands were still pinning his wrists down.
"Itadori, did you hear me?"
"Y-yes," Itadori choked out.
"Are you going to stop being a pain in the ass, or not?"
Itadori could feel the blood rushing through his body. He could barely focus on what Fushiguro was saying. He should tell Fushiguro that he would stop, but his brain was not cooperating with him.
"Well?"
"N-no," Itadori whispered.
"Then you asked for this," Fushiguro growled.
Fushiguro released one of Itadori's wrists and gripped his chin. He pulled him forward, kissing him hard.
Itadori moaned, and Fushiguro slid his tongue into his mouth. Itadori closed his eyes, kissing him back. He tasted so good, and it felt amazing. It was perfect.
It was better than Itadori could've ever imagined. Fushiguro's lips were so soft and warm. It felt like heaven. He didn't want it to end.
But, all too soon, Fushiguro pulled away. Itadori whined in protest, opening his eyes.
Fushiguro was panting, his face flushed. His hair was a mess, and he was looking at Itadori with an expression of pure lust.
Itadori had never seen him look like that before. It made him want to kiss him again.
"Fushiguro, why did you do that?" Itadori asked.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"No."
Fushiguro sighed. "Fuck, you're dense."
"What are you talking about?"
"You've been staring at me nonstop and trying to annoy me just so I'll pay attention to you. Why the fuck do you think I kissed you?"
Itadori stared at him. He didn't know what to say.
"I- I don't know," he mumbled.
"Itadori," Fushiguro groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'm pretty sure you're the densest person on the planet."
"Wait," Itadori said, his brain finally catching up with the situation. "So... you like me?"
"No shit," Fushiguro grumbled.
Itadori was completely stunned. He couldn't believe this was happening. Fushiguro had kissed him, and he liked him. He liked him!
"Wow," Itadori said. "I can't believe this."
"Me neither," Fushiguro said. "I have no idea what I see in you."
"Hey!"
"You're the most annoying person I've ever met," Fushiguro grumbled. "You're a fucking idiot, too."
"But... you still like me?"
"Yes, dumbass," Fushiguro sighed.
Itadori couldn't help the grin that spread across his face. "You really like me!"
"Jesus Christ, will you shut up?"
"But, you really do!"
Fushiguro glared at him, blushing. "I'm starting to regret this."
"No, don't!"
"Then stop grinning like an idiot."
Itadori's grin got even wider.
"Oh my god, you're hopeless," Fushiguro muttered.
"I'm just really happy," Itadori said. "And excited. And surprised. And-"
"Okay, enough," Fushiguro interrupted. "Can we please stop talking about this now?"
"Alright," Itadori sighed.
Fushiguro didn't move off his lap. He just sat there, awkwardly.
"So... do you want to keep playing?"
"Sure," Itadori said.
Fushiguro handed him the controller.
"Hey, Fushiguro?"
"Yeah?"
"I like you, too," Itadori said, smiling.
Fushiguro rolled his eyes. "Obviously."
Itadori laughed. He had no idea how he was able to keep his feelings a secret from Fushiguro, when it seemed like Fushiguro had known all along.
Maybe he wasn't so smart after all.
