Piper woke up with a sleepy stretch, popping nearly her whole back which she much appreciated. She picked up her holo-notebook to note down her dream before she forgot it, and settled back against her pillows.
After about 20 minutes of writing, she looked over to the other side of the dorm room. Vega was still asleep, as she stayed up late working on a new project. She wouldn’t even tell Piper what it was, which the girl didn’t mind.
She put away the notebook, and walked over to Vega’s bed. Her blanket was splayed haphazardly over her. Piper decided to fix it, tucking her in properly, and brushing her bob out of her face. As Piper fluffed up the pillows, Vega started to stir. She sat up, rubbing at her eyes tiredly, before looking up at Piper.
“Mnh…good morning,” Vega mumbled.
“Lovely morning to you too.” Piper opened Vega’s bedside drawer, taking out another holo-notebook, and handed it to Vega.
“Oh, right.” Vega flipped it open and started writing down her dream, just like Piper. She had managed to get Vega to join her in this activity, and Vega had even grown to appreciate it.
Piper looked over to the clock hanging above Vega’s desk. “Oh, I need to get going soon!” She stood up, and brushed off her nightgown.
Vega looked over to Piper, confused. “You never worry about getting to places on time. What’s the rush today?”
Piper giggled, and booped Vega’s nose. “They always run out your favorite cereal early at the cafeteria, and you’re too tired to head down today. So I was planning to go for you.”
Vega’s face softened into a smile, and she gave Piper a gentle hug. “Before you go, can I have a quick kiss?”
Piper complied, giving Vega a soft kiss to the forehead. “See you later, darling.”
“See you.”
