Chapter Text
I was running around the playground with kachan when mom called me over. I knew that it was time to meet the doctor for my quirk.
“I have to go now kachan.” I say to him.
“Then go, tell me your quirk when you get back.” He yells smiling.
“Bye!” I yell back as I start running towards mom.
“Let’s go.” She says happily.
We start walking to the car and get in. On the way to the doctors we talked about all of the various quirks that I could get. Once we get into the doctor’s room. He starts to explain what the word ‘quirkless’ means. My heart broke. I couldn’t hear a thing that the doctor said after hearing the word quirkless.
It felt like cotton in me ears, it was until I looked up and say my mom with a sad look in her eyes but with a look of anger in her eyes. It must have been something that the doctor said.
Then mom grabs my hand gently and rushed out of the room. Once we got to the car, my ears cleared up and hear my mom sigh. We drive home in silence. Once we get home, mom goes straight to the computer and gets on some sort of website. It has the word quirkless on it.
I look over her shoulder and see that she’s looking for doctors for me. I start to tear up. Mom has a determined look in her eyes. She reaches a hand to my head to comfort me.
She doesn’t leave the computer for about an hour. Once she finds what she was looking for, she leaves the computer to make dinner. Once she finished dinner, we sat down to eat.
“Hunny, you will be seeing a new doctor.” Mom said with a little sadness in her eyes.
“Ok, mommy!” I reply. ‘I don’t want to see that man again, he made mommy mad..’ I thought.
We continued to eat while talking about mundane things. After eating we cleaned up and get ready for bed.
The next day, we left to go to the new doctor. We were in the car, talking about who the new doctor could be. Once we got closer, we got to a grey area. An area that has little to no laws and the commission wants nothing to do with the area.
Once mom realizes where we are she starts to get nervous. We park outside a rundown building. She pulls her phone out and checks before getting out of the car. I also get out of the car and walk to the building.
Walking up to the door, mom knocks. A slit in the door opens and eyes come into view.
“What’s the code?” A woman’s voice comes through.
“Meteor shower.” Mom whispered.
The door opens to reveal a woman that’s wearing a doctor’s jacket. She moves out of the way for us to walk in. Mom and me walked in.
“Welcome, Inko Midoryia and Izuku midoryia. Come this way. My name is Otani.” The doctor introduced.
“Hi!” I say happily.
Otani smiles and walks down to hallway and into a room. It was very clean.
“Please have a seat. Today, I’ll run a couple standard health tests. Then, we can talk about when should be the best time to meet again.” Otani instructs.
I sit down on the table and Otani starts the health test. After a few minutes of testing later, she sat back down.
“Everything is in order, there nothing to worry about. But if you need anything else that could cause any problems call me.” She says giving mom a card.
Mom and Otani stood up. I jumped off the table and started to walk towards the door. Opening the door, Otani crouched.
“Kid, you will go through a lot of hard ships in your life after becoming quirkless. But know that you are not alone. You are always welcome here.” She said matter of factly.
I smiled and walked over to my mom. Mom looked at Otani and smiled wabilly. We walked out of the building and to the car. We got in and saw that there were a lot of people around the area. Mom started the car and we left.
