Time: 6 months after Yuta entered Jujutsu High.
After completing a first-class mission, Yuta was taken by his teacher to a Japanese pastry shop on the way home.
Yuta looked around a bit timidly and felt a bit itchy at the looks of other customers as well as the store's staff. Actually Yuta looks quite normal and just looks like a slightly gloomy and gentle high school student. The reason why Yuta became the center of attention was the person walking next to him. Yuta's teacher is over 1m9 tall, has striking white hair and wears a white bandage covering his eyes. It is not difficult to understand that they attract everyone's attention.
Yuta felt a bit pressured by the looks so he decided to focus on his teacher and stick close to him. Sensei looked happier and more excited when he entered the sweet shop, this was the first time Yuta saw the magical thing that made his teacher become like that. Sensei often seemed happy and liked to joke, but Yuta felt that this was the first time he saw the aura of happiness radiating from sensei without words. Yuta automatically engraved this in his mind as a small note: "Gojo-sensei loves sweets" and folded the note and put it in the drawer - the one labeled "Gojo-sensei" - in his heart.
Yuta very obediently followed Gojo like a small tail, the student's mind seemed to be lost in some random thought.
"Yuta"
A somewhat gentle voice rang out. Yuta didn't pay much attention to this until Maki's group told him recently.
...
"When Satoru talked to Yuta, his voice was softer? How do I know, yeah but it really seems like that..." Maki quickly ate the bread she just bought to quickly continue her practice session.
Panda - an expert in psychology and behavior, a Panda who seems more human than humans speak.
"Hmm, it seems that because Yuta was traumatized, Satoru paid more attention to the way he spoke. Maybe he saw Yuta as a little hamster that needed careful care. Of course not in terms of the Sorcerer but in terms of individuals and society"
Maki frowned and glanced at the panda.
"Huh? Hey panda, are you telling me that I don't know how to be gentle with Yuta?"
Panda didn't change his expression and said: "You're already self-aware, right, Maki?"Maki then put down the half-eaten loaf of bread and grabbed a wooden stick and rushed into a practice match with Panda, this was how the two of them argued. Yuta just smiled helplessly and pondered for a bit.
"I didn't expect Gojo-sensei to do that for me...sensei is really gentle, isn't he?"
When Yuta smiled happily like he was about to bloom next to him, Toge looked at his friend with some concern. This was the first time Toge heard someone say Gojo was gentle. Yuta always sees their sensei's shortcomings and bad personality, but Gojo's annoying personality doesn't affect the way Yuta sees the good side in his sensei.
...
"Yuta"
Like the first time Gojo chose a weapon for Yuta, his masculine and beautiful face from every angle appeared clearly before Yuta's eyes. Sensei's breath was very light on Yuta's cheek, making him tremble slightly. Yuta immediately wanted to step back but Gojo grabbed his shoulder.
"There are people queuing at the back, watch out"
Yuta obediently nodded and fell into crisis because he couldn't move forward and couldn't retreat either. Gojo laughed teasingly, then he stepped back a bit to create space for both of them.
"What are you thinking, standing there in a daze? Sensei called you for the third time already"
Gojo's voice was a bit teasing but also very gentle. Yuta felt warmth spreading throughout his chest. Maybe Panda was right, the way sensei talked, especially when it was just with Yuta, became much gentler. Yuta felt both happy and a bit lonely, happy because he felt his sensei's kindness, lonely because Gojo did not treat him the way he treated other students. Yuta felt that his sensei became more casual and lively with everyone. Yuta looks forward to the day he becomes stronger, escapes the psychological ghosts, and makes his teacher able to talk to him without having to think too much. But Yuta also secretly liked the way his sensei's voice was gentle like that, so warm and pampered. Seeing Yuta's face bewildered and smiling happily, Gojo said indifferently.
"If you keep making that face, sensei will kiss you."
Yuta was startled out of his thoughts. The whispers and screams of excitement coming from a group of two girls nearby brought Yuta back to his senses. Yuta still didn't understand anything, his ocean-colored eyes bewilderedly glanced back and forth and then back to his teacher.
"Ah yes?"
Gojo didn't care about his surroundings at all but frowned and pointed at Yuta's face and spoke at a normal volume.
"That, that's that cute face, stop it, okay? I'm easily caught off guard by that face of Yuta!"
Yuta finally caught up with the situation a bit, Yuta's face and ears were stained red from the heat. Excited murmurs can still be heard such as: "Eh, are they lovers??", "So handsome, Ikemen and the cute boy, this is the best", "Sensei? Are they teacher and student?",...The shop staff also seemed to be excitedly observing the two of them without urging them to buy. Yuta pushed Gojo's back and whispered.
"Sen-sensei! Don't tease me anymore, hurry up and buy your things and go home!"
Gojo smiled casually and rubbed Yuta's hair until it was messy.
"Hmm? It's Yuta's fault for making that bewildered face from the beginning, right? Come here quickly, choose whatever you like."
Yuta rarely paid attention to things like clothes or food until recently. Yuta's classmates and teachers are all people with rich life experiences, they helped Yuta become familiar with this chaotic yet colorful society.
Yuta tilted his head to look at his teacher.
"Um, why did you let me choose?"
Gojo smiled and clasped his hands together, Gojo's actions were still as ostentatious as usual, this made them even more noticed.
"It's Yuta's reward for today's mission, you did very well today. Come on, quickly choose one!"
Yuta was a bit surprised and a bit nostalgic. On the first mission with Maki at the hospital, Yuta also heard the words "you did very well" before losing consciousness. The young sorcerer looked into the glass case again and pondered.
"I think everything looks delicious, how about you choose the one you like, sensei?"
Gojo looked at Yuta for a moment and then asked.
"Do you particularly hate anything? You don't hate strawberries, do you?"
Yuta nodded obediently.
"Strawberries are fine, but I don't digest meat very well haha, I heard Panda-kun say there are cakes that contain meat too"
Gojo's face contorted so unsightly that Yuta blinked in surprise.
"Eh? Why do sweets have meat in them?? Those aren't sweets anymore, are they?"
Yuta chuckled at his sensei's expression, he became strangely childish at times like these. Yuta silently wrote in his heart "Sensei will be very childish when talking about sweets" and put it in the drawer named Gojo-sensei in his heart.
"Well, okay. If Yuta doesn't hate strawberries, can I buy you strawberry daifuku? I think this one is the most delicious."
Yuta looked at the small white cakes that stood out with the red color of strawberries in the middle, Yuta's eyes sparkled with curiosity.
"Since Sensei said so, this is fine."
Gojo smiled with satisfaction when he had chosen Yuta's reward. He bought 2 portions of strawberry Daifuku and paid quickly. The two left the store and continued walking back to school. For a long time, Gojo paid close attention to adjusting his walking speed to walk parallel to Yuta, so he knew that Yuta's walking speed was getting faster and faster. The first time he took Yuta from the dormitory to school, Yuta walked like a wounded rabbit that had just been bandaged, walking slowly step by step forward. At that time, when he met Gojo at the school gate, the student became a little more courageous and walked a little steadier. Currently, Yuta's walking speed is faster but still not as fast as Gojo's, so the teacher still has to slow down his walking speed a bit.
"Here Yuta, your reward, take it"
Yuta is still not used to receiving gifts from others. Yuta unconsciously rubs his dirty hands from just doing a previous mission on his uniform, which is not much cleaner. Yuta blushed slightly and embarrassedly took the paper bag containing sweets from his teacher.
"I--thank you, sensei. You don't have to do this.."
Gojo tilted his head a bit to look into Yuta's eyes.
"Eh? Yuta doesn't like receiving gifts?"
Yuta shook his head.
"Um...it's not that I don't like it."
Gojo smiled with satisfaction and nodded firmly.
"I like giving you gifts and you don't hate receiving gifts either. So there's nothing more to discuss."
Yuta really has no chance to confront his sensei. Yuta looked at the beautiful paper bag used to package the reward his sensei gave him. It's been 6 years since Yuta locked himself away from normal society and interactions with friends or teachers. Gojo-sensei is the one who helps him come to this mixed but sometimes warm world again. Yuta chuckled as he held the paper bag in his arms.
Gojo had been observing Yuta's small actions all this time and the way Yuta's mood slowly evolved was really interesting. This kid was just exposed to the world after a long period of cowering like a rabbit hiding in a hole.
'What is that smiley face that looks like it's about to bloom but tries to hold it back? Isn't it too cute to be allowed??'
Gojo stared at Yuta's white cheeks, they had become a little more fleshy and plump. It's been more than 6 months since Yuta entered Jujutsu High, and his diet has become more stable. Gojo lowered his face and without thinking much opened his mouth to gently bite his student's white cheek. Yuta squealed like a small animal caught by a predator, the student stepped back and stared at Gojo in panic. Gojo didn't smile or seem apologetic, he just used an indifferent expression to explain.
"Sorry, your cheeks look like mochi, I'm hungry..."
Yuta gasped in surprise and didn't know what to say to Gojo's explanation. Gojo always had strange jokes so Yuta didn't know what category to classify this joke in. Yuta's face and ears were red as if they were about to burn, Yuta was especially shy and easily scared like a little rabbit, and Gojo was always close to him without any expression.
"Ah, seriously! If you're hungry, please eat something sensei! Please don't go around biting people like that! ugh..."
Gojo laughed and patted Yuta's head to reassure the young student.
"Ahaha, this is the first time I've seen Yuta yell at me like that, a great move, isn't it? Okay, to apologize, can I buy you ramen?"
Yuta could only silently nod while his whole body felt like he was on fire with embarrassment, not just embarrassment because of what happened earlier but also because he shouted loudly at his teacher in the middle of the street.
...
Gojo was on the way back to the teacher's dormitory when he encountered Shoko. Shoko raised her eyebrows slightly when she saw Gojo in a mood like he was on cloud nine, in general a rather alarming mood.
"Did you just successfully buy limited sweets or something?"
Gojo hummed happily and snapped his fingers as if to indicate Shoko was right.
"Bingo! This sweet is one of a kind, there is only one in this world, it's adorable and soft, and when you bite into it, it makes a very adorable squeal, ehehe"
Shoko knew about Gojo keeping an eye on that special grade student, she shivered when she knew what Gojo was talking about. Shoko looked at her friend with a bit of disdain, it's been just over 6 months since Yuta entered school and Gojo has taken a step forward, this guy...
"That's disgusting, stop smiling like that, you perverted teacher"
Gojo pouted and screamed like a child.
"Ehhhh, but Yuta said I was a 'gentle teacher'! It was you who told me last week."
Shoko thought she shouldn't have told Gojo that she heard Yuta say that when she accidentally passed by the first year class practicing.
