Shadow grumbled as he flipped through different channels, sighing when none of them found his interest.
Sonic was currently at work, so therefore he was alone. A soft meow catches his attention and he turned his head, a soft smile forming on his lips.
"Clover, are you hungry?" He asked the black cat while standing up. The cat's bright green eyes pears up at him, purring when she was picked up. Clover was the youngest of all the cats he and Sonic have, she was super shy but very affectionate.
Shadow hummed a soft tune as he reached the kitchen and grabbed some cat food out of the fridge, getting out a light pink bowl and scooping some food into it. Smiling when Clover mewed excitedly.
He sat down the bowl on the floor, watching as Clover hopped down and began to chow down. Shadow chuckles at her and walks back to the living room.

Shadow's ears perked up at sound of keys jiggling and the door opening and closing. Sonic was home.
"Babe, you're home early."
Indeed he was, usually Sonic got home at 8:30, it was 6:39 currently.
"Ah, yeah. Boss let me off early." Sonic said, kissing shadow on the cheek.
Shadow raised a brow at Sonic's arms, which were behind his back. Shadow tilted his head to see, but Sonic turned so Shadow couldn't see it.
"Sonic, what are you hiding?"
"Nothing!"
"Sonic."
"Ughhh fine~" Sonic groaned but chuckled and pulled out a small pink bag.
"Whats this for?"
"It's for you, happy Valentine's day, Shads!" Sonic grinned.
Shadow eyes widened and his cheeks flushed. Valentine's gift? For him?
He took the bag and peaked inside, not seeing anything but white tissue paper. He huffed and ripped the tissue paper out, going silent as he pulled out the gift. It was a picture, held in a dark brown frame. But not any picture, it was a picture of his and Sonic's first date. That was his favorite day.
Shadow hid his blush with his hands, but not missing the way Sonic's laugh created butterflies in his gut.
"Shads, don't hide your pretty face~" sonic smiled and removed Shadow's hands, holding them in his own.
"I know I'm not the best at this, romance thing. And you're usually the one who plans all our dates. But I wanted to get you something I knew you'd like. I don't say this often, but I love you, Shads." Sonic said, a soft blush forming on his cheeks as he looked at Shadow with a smile the whole time.
Shadow's stung, but he refused to let the tears fall. He sniffled and hugged Sonic tightly, pouring all his emotions into that hug. Sonic chuckled and hugs back, holding Shadow's waist. He knew Shadow loved it, even if he refused to admit it.
