Work Text:
Izumi slinks through the shadows of the museum, ducking behind one of the statues. His target was in sight, and his partner, Arashi Narukami, had found her position just across from him. He took one last scan of his surroundings before whispering to his ear piece.
“Hey, Kuma-kun, Kasa-kun, you better be doing your jobs this time or I’ll really make you miserable later.”
“All good on our end, Secchan~. Now hurry up, I’m tired.”
“Sena-senpai just focus on the mission, we know what we’re doing.”
Izumi sighed and motioned for Arashi to follow his lead. He took a few light steps into the rest of the space. There were no more large displays between him and their prize, a recently accessioned rainbow diamond necklace. The owner, Shu Itsuki, had been secretive about their acquisition until recently, only those on a need to know basis knew of its existence in the building.
And then the public announcement came and Izumi just knew that they needed to take this for themselves. Pulling this off would make them the most infamous group of thieves in the country, their names spoken on the nightly news and at lunch time gossip sessions.
And most importantly: the necklace looks absolutely stunning, almost as if it was made for her specifically.
This whole thing had originally been Arashi’s idea. She had a million and one outfits to pair it with and show off, and Izumi had agreed that it would be an impressive piece for their collection. Tsukasa had tried to argue against the plan, saying that it would be almost too obvious that the necklace was stolen and make it impossible to wear out once they had taken it, though that hadn’t stopped either Arashi or Izumi. They would simply be content with the bragging rights and wearing it around their base in all honesty. Wearing it out as a show of power was just a bonus.
Arashi and Izumi approached the case, trying to get a feel for the censors and security systems installed within the glass case. They’d have only a few seconds to make a coordinated escape through their established exits once they went off. Even though they had taken out the guards that had gotten in their way, without a doubt there would be more that they hadn’t seen, ready to take them out as soon as the alarms sounded.
He nodded to Arashi, quickly cutting a circle out of the display case with their glass cutter. The alarms immediately went off and Izumi grabbed the necklace and shoved it in his pocket, praying it wouldn’t break. Arashi took off in the opposite direction, just as they had planned, and Izumi ran for his own exit. Shouts came from down the hall, which would cut off that escape route. He cursed under his breath at how fast their response was.
“Leo-kun, plan B.”
“On my way Sena!” Leo cackled into his mic. Izumi heard the engine roar of their getaway car before it cut off.
“Okay Izumi, you got this. Can’t start disappointing them now,” he muttered under his breath. His first concern would be making it to the nearest window after grabbing the necklace. Everything else would come after.
He took off down the hall, knocking over some velvet security ropes in the hopes that it would trip up his pursuers just long enough for him to make it out in one piece. The footsteps behind him grew softer as he turned the corner again and…
There it was, his escape route. Leo had parked the car right under the window and Izumi could imagine the other man waving him down from behind their tinted windows. Arashi had already opened the door, all he needed to do was break the window and jump.
Izumi braced himself as he slammed into the window, glass shattering around him, tearing into his clothes and falling to the ground. His shirt sleeve was wet and sticky but he could deal with that later. Even though it was only the second floor, jumping without anything to break the fall was far from his brightest idea. It happened in the blink of an eye, Izumi’s body hit the ground with a sickening crack and he had half a mind to cry out in pain before coming enough to his senses to bite his tongue and get back up. Whatever injuries he sustained could be dealt with later.
“Are you okay?” Arashi asked, quickly grabbing Izumi's arm and tugging him into the car as Leo steps on the gas and speeds away. His arm throbbed intensely under Arashi’s grip and he continued to bite his tongue until the adrenaline started to wear off and Izumi’s body began to process the pain.
“It’s nothing. Kuma-kun and Kasa-kun can check it out when we get back to base.” He pulled away, wincing as he did so. It was obvious that he was lying and both of them knew it. Leo had started rambling on about his newest inspiration to fill the silence that hung in the air.
He could already feel the blood dripping down his torso and the torn fabric of his shirt was beginning to irritate him.
“Hey, Leo-kun, how long until we get back to base?” he asked, trying to hide the pain in his voice as they took another sharp turn a little too fast.
“Uhm, a few minutes? I think we lost the people on our trail so I can just take a straight shot from here!”
Izumi broke into a sweat, vision dimming as the scenery around him blurred and melted together. His stomach was starting to roll too and he just knew he couldn’t hide the pain anymore. Arashi began reaching for him again. He wishes she would at least wait until they were stopped to check on him.
“Izumi-chan…I think you need to go to the hospital,” she said. Consciously he knew Arashi had grabbed his arm and was trying to assess the damage, but Izumi was unable to feel anything beyond a gentle tug from his shoulder. If he had been in his right mind, he’d have already told her off for touching him like that.
“‘M fine, Naru-kun. Kuma-kun and Kasa-kun can take care of it.” He couldn’t move his arm back to his side.
He was vaguely aware of Arashi begging Leo to find them a hospital as she reconnected with their home base to tell them what happened before he blacked out.
---
Izumi woke up in a sterile white room, heart monitor beeping in the background. It took him a few moments to blink the bleariness from his eyes before he noticed the bandages around his torso and arms.
“We’re glad you’re finally awake, Izumi-san,” a strange doctor in a white coat said, typing something into their computer. “You’ve been asleep for a little over a day. You had some serious injuries from whatever your accident was, but you should make a full recovery in a few weeks.”
Izumi laid his head back on the pillow. A day…He should thank Arashi for taking charge and just forcing Leo to take him here. He had to assume either she had lied about the reason for his injuries or it was someone she trusted to keep a secret. Either way he’d best not mention the heist at all.
A few minutes later, after the doctor had checked his vitals to make sure he’d be okay for visitors, the rest of the crew came flooding through the door.
“Thank goodness you’re okay, Izumi-chan!” Arashi exclaimed, pulling him into a hug.
His ribs were burning. “I get it, Naru-kun. Is this really any way to treat an injured person? ” He pushed her off a bit more gently than he normally would, careful not to pull too much on his bandages.
“You said he’ll be better in a few weeks, right doc?” Leo asked from the doorway. When did he get here? Had he been there the whole time too?
“As long as he doesn’t put too much pressure on his ribs he should be fine.”
The doctor ran a few more tests on Izumi, checking his temperature and heart rate to make sure he didn’t have an infection or any other underlying injuries before allowing them to have some privacy.
“You really scared me--us,” Arashi corrected herself. Leo looked like he was holding back from throwing himself onto the bed with Izumi. Instead, Leo knelt on the floor and rested his head on Izumi’s stomach.
“That’s not what the doctor meant by resting my ribs, Leo-kun.” Izumi’s hand made its way to Leo’s hair, wrapping a strand around his finger. “Did we at least get the…” He looked at Arashi.
She shook her head. “No, it must have fallen out when you threw yourself out of the window.”
Izumi cursed under his breath. “Don’t look so down, Izumi-chan,” Arashi said, shifting her weight in the chair. “There’s a gala next month to show off the new collection. We still have a chance.”
“You just want an excuse to dress up.”
“And? Don’t you like dressing up sometimes?”
Izumi sighed.
“What about Kuma-kun and Kasa-kun?”
“They’re still back home. I told them about your little accident and they’re getting your room set up for you. Well…”
“Kasa-kun is getting the room set up.”
Arashi hummed in affirmation. Ritsu would be hard at work adjusting their plans and wouldn’t have the additional energy needed to prepare for an injured Izumi to come home.
Izumi laid his head back on the pillow. It was going to be a long month.
---
It was another three days before the hospital allowed Izumi to be taken home. They had to make sure he wouldn’t be able to move his torso too much and potentially re-fracture his ribs.
Izumi put up with the poking and prodding just long enough to be released, even if he’d end up locking himself in his room in their hideout for another week anyway.
The other members of Knights stopped by his room periodically, making sure that Izumi was eating well. Every night, one of them would help him wash up as well. Arashi had brought in her nicest soaps to make him smell better in order to try and brighten Izumi’s mood.
It worked, but Izumi would never say that to her face. Even if the scent wasn’t his style, the thought mattered enough to make him smile to himself after she left.
After another three days, Ritsu walked in and sat on the floor next to Izumi’s bed.
“Secchan, we have some news…”
“Good news or bad news?”
“Mostly good news.”
“And that is…?”
“They’re putting the necklace on display again during a gala in two months. The announcement said the most impressive pieces in their collection will be on display, including the new necklace that was ‘almost stolen in a break in attempt by some amateur burglars.’”
Izumi rolled his eyes. “Do you really think it’s a good idea to go back so soon?”
“It might be our best chance. We’ll be able to slip it in our pockets in plain sight if we play our cards right.”
Izumi shifted and stood up, walking over to the window.
“I trust you, Kuma-kun, but I don’t know…”
“We have four days before we have to start planning for it if we want to go for it. Any later and we won’t have enough time to get ready for the heist.”
Izumi continued to stare out the window and eventually Ritsu left him to his thoughts.
Four days to decide , he thought. There was a gentle throbbing from his ribcage.
---
The next day, Izumi woke up to sunlight streaking through his window. As much as he’d love to admire the beautiful day, it wasn’t his favorite way to wake up. He had fallen asleep at his desk, notes scattered around him from previous heists that he had pulled out the night before. He had been trying to calculate the chances of success going after a target twice, which were statistically always much lower than the first attempt. After all, if you fail to get what you want the first time, they’ll be more cautious and increase security surrounding that item just in case. While waiting it out until the incident is forgotten was always a possibility, it was more often than not a waste of time.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have the luxury of time on their side. There were three days left until he had to make up his mind about if he wanted to participate in the heist. Ritsu had left him a text on his phone informing him that he was the tie-breaking vote, as he and Arashi didn’t think it was worth it, but Leo and Tsukasa did.
Laying his head down on the desk, Izumi let out a loud groan. His fractured ribs certainly didn’t appreciate sleeping while sitting up, but he also didn’t want to move to his bed now that the sun was up. The siren song of his comforter and pillow were strong though.
Just as he was standing up to move to his bed, there was a knock at the door.
“Good morning Izumi-chan!” came a familiar voice from the other side. “I brought you breakfast. Did Ritsu-chan talk to you last night?”
Izumi walked over to the door, wincing in pain as he moved his arm to open it up. Arashi stood in the hallway holding a plate of pancakes with fruity syrup and a glass of orange juice. Tsukasa must have made it. Although it was definitely too sweet for his tastes (and eating it all would throw off his calorie count for the day), he accepted the plate and went to close the door, ignoring Arashi’s question.
Arashi, however, had other plans. Sticking her foot in the door and preventing it from closing. “Not so fast, Izumi-chan.”
He sighed and pulled his hand away from the door, allowing her to open it again and step into his room.
“What do you want, Naru-kun?”
“I wanted to see if you’ve thought about…”
“I have.”
“I’m just not sure, with your injuries--”
Izumi shoved Arashi out of the room, closing the door swiftly afterwards. He hadn’t finished contemplating the whole thing, but listening to Arashi lecture him on his health was the last thing he needed.
At least he could take some time over his probably too sugary breakfast to clear his mind and think. Izumi was usually a decisive person. He knows what he wants when he wants it. In a situation like this though, facing pressure from both sides of the debate to give an answer immediately… if they did try again, they’d need a better plan of action, so Ritsu would need to rack his brain until everything was on the table.
The memory of the glass piercing his skin as he fell out of the building and the smile on Arashi’s face as they lifted the necklace conflicted in his mind. He wasn’t ready to risk himself like that again, especially when the security would be much more prepared than before, but he also wanted to see Arashi smile radiantly once more. Despite her hesitation to go back for the necklace, the last few weeks it had slowly disappeared from her face, and no matter how hard any of them asked about it, she wouldn’t say why.
He opened his laptop and pulled up a document. To start, Izumi could list both the pros and cons of both choices and see if the positives may outweigh the negatives? Rather than actually list anything though, his fingers just hovered over the keyboard. Obviously there would be advantages and disadvantages for each option, but listing them out felt…odd.
Giving up after realizing he didn’t have any worthwhile ideas, Izumi resigned himself to just eating more of his breakfast. The little voice in his head that was trying to get him to count calories with each bite fought with the voice that said he needed the food to heal properly. Silently, he just continued eating while closing out of the blank document. Opening his web browser, Izumi began typing the name of the museum the heist would take place into his search bar, even if he normally left the information gathering to the others, in order to create the best plan he’d need to know best what they’d be dealing with.
He clicked through to the events page, the gala next month being right at the top with some fancy photographs of the venue with people dressed to the nines, the accompanying text calling it the biggest fundraising event of the year for the organization. Clicking on the banner, Izumi then skimmed the information that popped up including dress code, pricing, and what to expect. The necklace was part of the listed highlights for the event, as expected.
They also listed that the curator for the historical clothing department, a young man by the name of Shu Itsuki would be in attendance to give a speech about some of their recent acquisitions as well as a new exhibit they were installing, set to debut later that year. That name rang a bell for Izumi, but he couldn’t put a finger on it. Hopefully that detail wasn’t terribly important, but he pulled out a notepad and scribbled the name down anyway. Just in case.
Izumi kept scrolling, but the event page was pretty bare. There would probably be more details after the fact, though that wouldn’t be helpful to Izumi at the present moment. At least with the expected crowds of people, being able to slip the necklace out of its case again should be fairly simple. Even more so with the additional cameras, they could disguise their movements like they had in so many other heists and simply pocket the necklace and leave before anyone was the wiser.
It appeared as if security was going to be lighter around the necklace than Izumi expected, though that might just be a set up, tempting the group to try again. The pit in his stomach grew at the possibility of this entire thing being a trap. Could they organize an event like this so quickly? There was the chance they had been planning the gala since they had been working on acquiring the damn thing, but the timing as a whole still felt far too suspicious. Especially since a quick search of the museum showed no mention of their failed heist just a week ago. The broken window had simply been chalked up to a freak accident on the side of their security team rather than a planned heist gone wrong.
Everything was lining up a bit too perfectly, which was exactly why Izumi knew that this was why Ritsu and Arashi wanted to avoid going back for it. Well, that and Arashi’s concern about irritating Izumi’s wounds. Although he was starting to suspect she might have other reasons for not wanting to go through with another plan.
He closed the laptop and sighed. It wasn’t as if he was going to get anything else out of staring at the screen and overthinking everything. He’d eventually try to pry the real reason out of Arashi as to why she wanted to forget about the whole thing, when the original plan had been her idea in the first place. But for now, having just finished the pancakes in front of him, he had nothing better to do than ruminate on his thoughts.
---
It was early afternoon by the time Izumi left his room again to wash himself up and bring out the dishes from his breakfast. It was far too late for lunch but he could do without it.
Without warning, he was ambushed by one Tsukinaga Leo who had apparently been waiting for him to come out and clean up. Leo practically tackled Izumi and made him almost drop the plate he was carrying.
“Senaaaaaaaa,” he whined. “Naru and Rittsu are bullying meeeeeee…~”
Izumi sighed and reoriented himself. “And why are they bullying you, Leo-kun?” He asked with a deadpan voice.
“They think it’s a bad idea to go back for the necklace.” Leo was pouting at this point and still hanging off Izumi’s waist as Izumi tried to put his dishes in the sink. He could wash them later, when he wasn’t being hindered by an overly excitable ginger.
“And why do you want to get it so bad? You wouldn’t even be the one wearing it.”
“It’s given me so much inspiration! Besides, I think it would look really pretty on Naru~!” He tacked on the last part like it was almost an afterthought. Through the money Leo’s compositions brought in, despite it technically being a side project, kept their group afloat as they organized their next heist. It might not be the worst idea to grab the necklace just for the money it’d bring in if nothing else.
“Is that all?” Izumi replied, rolling his eyes.
“You’re so mean to me too!” Leo cried, clinging even tighter to Izumi. Izumi just rolled his eyes and pried Leo off his waist to look him in the eyes.
“You’re overexaggerating Leo-kun.” Leo banged his head on Izumi’s forehead.
“Meanie! Sena’s bullying me!” Leo called out, grabbing the attention of Tsukasa who was doing some work in the common room.
“Sena-senpai, what are you doing?” Tsukasa said, trying to separate the two of them, though Leo was still clinging to Izumi despite everything.
“Talking some sense into Leo-kun. Since you’re here, do you have anything to tell me about the necklace, Kasa-kun?” Izumi’s voice dripped in sarcasm, presuming that Tsukasa would have the same information about the necklace that Izumi had gotten from his quick search (despite Tsukasa being their primary researcher).
“I’ve been looking at their documents regarding security for the event . They seem to be lighter on security guards than normal for a party of this scale.” That correlated roughly with what Izumi had seen, though it was nice to know it was also a confirmation from internal documents and not just some guesses based on social media posts.
“Doesn’t that seem suspicious? Leo-kun, why would they have lower security after our failed heist unless they were trying to trap us?” Izumi finally managed to put his dishes in the sink, wincing at the irritation Leo had caused to his ribs.
Leo whined and puffed out his lip. “That just means we’ll be even more famous if we don’t get caught!”
Izumi was about to say something else, but Leo had begun scribbling more notes on pieces of scrap paper while Tsukasa just shook his head. There wouldn’t be any convincing Leo in his position, even if he were able to hear them all through his overwhelming inspiration.
---
Back in his room, Izumi pulled out some more paper, this time letting his hand do its own thing while he thought. He needed something low effort to do and recently everything he had knit wasn’t turning out as he’d wanted and had been pissing him off recently, so he started doodling over the notes he had tried to make earlier. At first it was something abstract, just some shapes only loosely connected to each other, but it quickly started turning into something more concrete.
Her hair was short but looked elegant with just about any accessories, Arashi’s smile was unparalleled, her sense of fashion was like nothing anyone had ever seen. It was top class (next to Izumi, of course). Izumi was… jealous in some ways of Arashi’s natural confidence in herself and how she seemed to effortlessly pull off anything. That necklace should be worn by someone like her and they both knew it, but when Izumi had gotten hurt trying to get that piece of jewelry, she turned into a husk of herself. Her jabs at Izumi had become less frequent and she spent more time out, avoiding the rest of them.
Izumi stopped when he realized that he had drawn a crude sketch of Arashi with the necklace on, smiling brightly at the viewer. He would never admit it out loud, but he did care about the other members of Knights and it hurt to see her so dejected.
He had half a mind to pull out his phone and text her, asking where she was. Instead he snapped a photo of the view from his window and sent it to her without anything else. His phone told him that she had seen it at least.
He waited for her to send him something back, even just a rolling eyes emoji or anything to let him know she wasn’t dead.
Nothing.
He got up and walked out to the balcony attached to his room and took another photo of the cityscape with the two glasses emoji.
Read.
No response.
Izumi was getting frustrated, if she kept this up, he would’ve tried to get her location from any of the other Knights to meet up with Arashi himself. Thankfully, he was spared the torture on his still recovering body when his phone let out a ping, notifying him of a new text.
Naru: what do you need?
She didn’t even use his name. Ouch.
Izumi: Nothing. I just wanted to take some photos.
Naru: bullshit.
Izumi rolled his eyes.
Izumi: Fine. I wanted to talk, is that a crime?
Naru: coming from you? maybe.
Izumi: Whatever. I don't care anyway.
He turned off his phone and set it down on the ledge, a cold breeze blowing through his hair, giving him goosebumps. What was he even doing? His phone lit up again.
Naru: i’m at the bridge if you need anything.
Well, at least he had a location now. Going back inside, Izumi grabbed a jacket and put it on, realizing that Arashi hadn’t brought hers and taking it with him outside to meet her. So much for resting his body, right? Arashi should be grateful to have someone that cares as much as he does.
The walk at least gave him some time to think about what he really wanted to say to Arashi when they met. The two of them had been torn between their options, but she had tried to settle on one for the sake of everyone else, even if everyone else could tell she was still unsure regarding this decision. As Knights, they should make their decisions with confidence after all.
The cold nipped at his nose and Izumi cursed under his breath about not grabbing a scarf.
“You finally figured out what you wanted to do?” She asked while he arrived behind her on the sidewalk. She was staring out over the river, partially frozen over in ice, face illuminated by the moonlight.
“You forgot something, dumbass.” Izumi draped her jacket over her shoulders before settling in next to her on the bridge.
“Thanks, Izumi-chan.” She remained transfixed on the city skyline in the distance. They stood in silence for what felt like several minutes before Izumi spoke up again.
“I’ve… been thinking,” he started. “I think we should go back for that necklace.” Izumi kept his gaze on the same skyline but he could feel Arashi shift to look at him in surprise.
“Why? You were hurt so badly last time!”
Izumi raised a hand to quiet her. “It’s my decision, Naru-kun. We need to leave our mark on that museum.”
Arashi turned back out toward the water.
“You wanted to go back for it too, didn’t you.” It was more of a statement than a question from Izumi. “The necklace would look beautiful on you.”
Izumi looked out of the corner of his eye and he couldn’t tell if the slight red tint to Arashi’s cheeks came from the cold or his words. “It’s not about me--”
“Shut up! Everyone has been wanting to see you wear that thing, I know that you want to wear it too.” Izumi turned to meet Arashi’s eyes. “Stop denying your wants for everyone else. We’ll be happiest if you can be happy too, you idiot.” It was odd for Izumi to be so direct about his thoughts but he was tired of dancing around everything. If it could spare him another argument later it would be worth it.
“Izumi-chan…” Several different emotions flashed across her face: doubt, shame, curiosity, love. She turned to look back over the river. “Well, there’s no changing your mind once it’s made, huh~?” Izumi lightly punched her arm.
“If you tell anyone about this I’ll--”
“Mhm, sure Izumi-chan. I won’t tell a soul.”
---
Their faces were red and noses runny by the time the duo had returned home. The two of them hadn’t spoken much after Izumi had declared his choice to go back for the necklace. Izumi put a kettle on the stove and pulled down two mugs, grabbing two tea bags and a jar of honey. Arashi took her jacket off and hung it up by the door to their base. Ritsu had fallen asleep at the table and she sat next to him, rubbing his back with her hand.
The clock read 1:43am so Leo and Tsukasa would likely be asleep as well. Izumi could tell them his decision when they all woke up, but for now he and Arashi would warm up with some hot tea, and then they’d both sleep content with the decisions they’d made. The planning phase for the second heist would have to start immediately with all hands on deck, and more caution than ever would be needed in order to avoid getting serious injuries or worsening Izumi’s existing ones… but it’d be well worth it in the end if they’d succeed this time.
There was a comfortable silence between Izumi and Arashi as they sipped on their tea, not wanting to wake the sleeping Ritsu quite yet. They could move him to the couch at least so he wouldn’t cramp up, but for the moment he stayed snoring gently at the table. If only every moment could be as peaceful as this one.
Izumi uncapped a marker that lay discarded on the table and reached forward to draw a mustache on Ritsu. Arashi swatted his hand away and failed, stifling a laugh as Izumi reached forward again and carefully drew a ridiculous face afterwards writing “I <3 Secchan” on Ritsu’s forehead. Thank god Ritsu was a deep sleeper and probably wouldn’t notice it until Tsukasa or Leo pointed it out.
After a while, there was nothing left of their tea. Arashi rose to her feet with both mugs in hand to rinse them out in the sink. She quickly returned back to Izumi in order to help move Ritsu to the couch. He was dead weight when he was asleep like this and it often took two people to move him somewhere slightly more comfortable. After setting Ritsu down, Izumi quickly scribbled out a note for someone to read and stuck it to Ritsu’s forehead before bidding goodnight to Arashi and returning to his room.
---
The next morning Izumi walked down to the living room after his shower to Ritsu trying to clean the marker off his face as Tsukasa fussed over him.
“Real funny Secchan.” Ritsu threw a death glare at Izumi.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Kuma-kun.”
“Then why did you write that note , Sena-senpai?” Tsukasa took the sticky note that had been moved to the end table into his hand. “‘I wuv Se-cchan sooooooo much and I’ll stop falling asleep in the kitchen just for him.’”
“Well, maybe Kuma-kun should stop falling asleep in the kitchen and he won’t have to deal with that?”
Ritsu rolled his eyes. “Anyway Secchan, have you made up your mind about the necklace?”
Izumi hummed, making his way to the kitchen to make a light breakfast. “Yeah. I think we should go for it.”
“That settles it I suppose. I’ll start working on our plans after breakfast.”
“As the deciding vote, I think Secchan should have to help us with the plans~? Especially since it was his idea to begin with.”
Izumi rolled his eyes. “Whatever. Maybe this time we won’t have to take as many risks.”
“And whose fault was that Sena-senpai?”
“Obviously it wasn’t mine, I’m always perfect on missions!”
Both Tsukasa and Ritsu rolled their eyes.
“We’ll all meet up in an hour. Don’t be late, Sena-senpai. I’ll come get you, Ritsu-senpai. This way you won’t be able to oversleep .”
---
An hour later, the five of them met up in the living room as planned. The television had a map of the museum pulled up, meanwhile Tsukasa had managed to assemble a cork board with all the relevant information about the event pinned on it.
“We’ll be taking no chances this time around, so we’ll all be responsible for making sure that things run as smoothly as possible. Exits are to be mapped and memorized. Sena-senpai and Narukami-senpai, your pockets will have zippers to prevent anything from falling out this time. Leo-san, you will memorize every escape route to ensure we aren’t being followed back here after the heist. Ritsu-senpai and myself will be overseeing the whole operation through the cameras and giving you all live updates.”
“Aw, I wanted to go to the party though!” Leo exclaimed.
“Sorry, Leo-san. We need our getaway car ready to go whenever Sena-senpai and Narukami-senpai grab the necklace.” Tsukasa moved to the corkboard he had wheeled out. “We all need to understand our roles to pull this off. Is that understood?”
“Yes Kasa-kun.”
“Yes Tsukasa-chan!”
“Yes Suu-chan.”
“Yes Suo~!”
