Work Text:
Taking a sip of his Negroni, Sully savoured the tartness of the drink, trying to drown with it the bitterness of this day. It’s not like it was helping, but at least he could pretend that the bitter undertones of too much Campari in his cocktail was the reason why the man had a nasty taste at the root of his tongue and that it was not because he just had yet another date that failed.
Although deep down he knew that his cocktail was more than perfect.
Nate never messes up his drinks, or any drinks for that matter.
But if Sully closed his eyes, he could just pretend, just for a moment, that the cocktail was the problem and not him.
Yet, it was him, wasn’t it?
How else could the man explain that his dates are nearly running away from him? It was months since he had something even slightly similar to a relationship, and it lasted for a week! Usually, things end at the second date at max, and that, if it comes to the second date. Which is sad, because Sully really did try to make things work.
Despite the common belief, he was an attentive lover, he paid attention to whatever his dates were telling him about, he paid for dinners or coffee, and sometimes he even brought flowers. Sully always participated in conversations and wasn’t even trying to rush whatever was happening between them.
Was he up for casual hook-ups? Sure, he was, yet never would he make his dates feel like it is the only thing why they are here. Sully didn’t mind sex on the first date, and if his partners were up to it, why would he deny both of them the pleasure?
It wasn’t sex per se, this Sully knew for sure. Call him a narcissist, but the man knew damn well how to satisfy his lovers. Most of the time he already knew that there wouldn’t be a second date, and sex was more of a consolation prize than an act of passion anyway. At least at the end of the day, both parties went home without that much regret of a wasted evening.
Maybe-
“Hey, how are you?” his inner monolog was interrupted by no one other than Nathan Drake with a worried expression on his face and a freshly done Negroni to replace his finished one. “You’ve been staring in front of you for some time now,” the younger man added when Sully didn’t say anything.
Shaking his head, the man forced a smile.
“No-yeah, of course, I’m fine, kid,” Sully assured him, brushing off Nate’s concerns.
But Nate wouldn’t be Nate if he didn’t see right through his lies. It was a blessing and a curse at the same time, and Sully wasn’t sure which one was now.
Instead of going back behind the counter to serve drinks to the clients, Nate pushed the chair and sat down across Sully. Tilting his head, the younger man switched the empty glass with the full one, silently waiting for the man to say something.
Sully knew that trick, he was the one who admitted to the younger man his dislike for awkward silences, his inner urge to fill them up with something, and that was exactly what Nate was doing. The bait was set, leaving Nate to wait until the man would snap.
Was it working? Definitely.
Was the man angry? Definitely not.
“Ugh, okay,” Sully gave up, making Nate smile at his small victory.
“I can tell something is bothering you, Sully,” the younger man admitted. “I just wanna help.”
Running his palms over his face, the man exhaled loudly before saying:
“What is wrong with me?” he asked, making Nate furrow his eyebrows, clearly not expecting this kind of question.
“What?”
Yet, Sully didn’t finish.
“You have been knowing me for nearly a year, hell, you probably know me better than anyone at this point, so I’m asking what is wrong with me?” he said, looking Nate straight in the eyes as if it was adding some sense where all of this was coming from.
“Sully,” the younger man started, placing his hand over the man’s one on the table. “There is definitely, one hundred percent sure, nothing wrong with you,” he assured the man, smiling in encouragement. “What made you think otherwise?” the younger man couldn’t help but ask.
More unconsciously Sully shook his head, lowering his eyes to their connected hands.
“Then why did none of my dates, or relationships work out?” he asked quietly, as if he was embarrassed to voice the question. “Why there is always something that people are not satisfied with? Not happy about? I’ve been on this stupid dating app for a year now, and barely have any dates, what am I doing wrong?” Sully prolonged with questions, feeling as Nate squeezed his hand in support. “Why can’t I find somebody who would be interested in me more than for one night? Why can’t I find love?” the last sentence was added barely above the whisper, the man wasn’t even sure if Nate was meant to hear that.
Here, after voicing his thoughts, Sully felt more vulnerable than ever. It is not easy to admit this kind of stuff, no one wants to feel exposed or admit their weaknesses. Yet somehow Nate made that less stressful than the man expected it to be.
There was a beat of silence before the younger man started to talk.
“You are not the problem in this situation, Sully, this I can assure you,” Nate said, making the man look at him.
“Yeah, right,” he scoffed.
“Yeah,” Nate stressed the word more firmly, his grip on the man’s hand tightened for a moment. “And I am sure that a huge amount of people would agree to go on a date with you, you are amazing!” he exclaimed as if this would prove his point.
“You mean, I am a colossal egocentric asshole, who lives on coffee, and who is obsessed with the treasure hunt? How is this amazing, huh?” the man asked, rolling his eyes.
Of course, it was boosting his ego, that Nate called him amazing, but Sully didn’t need a lie, no matter how appealing it was, to feel better.
“You aren’t,” Nate started, but then went silent, making Sully arch an eyebrow. “You know what? You are, you are a colossal asshole who saved my life more times than I can count, you are sooo egocentric, you let me crash at your place, have sleepovers just because your place is closer to my work,” Nate started to list, making the man more confused than ever. “You live on coffee? Oh, please, when was the last time you drank more than one cup of coffee which we have during breakfast? Most of the time we have green tea, in case you forgot,” the younger man finished, leaning back on his chair, and crossing his arms over his chest.
Picking up his glass, Sully muttered, before taking a sip:
“I don’t see your point.”
It was Nate’s turn to scoff.
“The point, Sully, is that you are great, more than great, and people would love to go out with you. Anyone would love to,” he said sincerely, as if he truly believed at what he was saying.
“Then why I couldn’t find anyone, huh?” he asked, mirroring Nate’s posture by also crossing his arms. “Why is my dating story is sadder than the Titanic movie?”
Now, the man knew it sounded desperate, he knew it sounded pathetic, but… Sully also was so tired of this constant feeling of failure, the feeling that there was something wrong with him.
“Sully, I’m sure it’s not true,” Nate said quietly, tilting his head to look man in the eyes.
Nate was the only person in Sully’s life who managed to stick around him for so long. Not just tolerating him, like Chloe, no, Nate made it look like he is genuinely happy about the possibility of being present in his life. He was always so supportive and kind, he made sure to call Sully or text him throughout the day, he actually listens when Sully talks about his past adventures, showing such an open interest in whatever, the man is saying, Sully was sure he wouldn’t be able to fake it, even if it turned out that all this time Nate actually was a Hollywood actor.
The younger Drake was so sweet to him, so caring, and always eager to spend time together. Sully loved having him around.
Maybe that’s why the next words slipped so easily before the man could even think of it:
“Would you go on a date with me?” he asked and barely suppressed an urge to clap his palm over his mouth. Nate looked at him so strangely, that his eyebrows nearly touched his hairline. The man rushed to say something before things got weird between them. “Sorry, this was-”
Yet, he didn’t manage to finish his sentence when Nate replied with simple:
“Yeah.”
What?
“What?” Sully asked, not believing what he had just heard.
“As a matter of fact, yes I would,” Nate said more loudly, smiling condescendingly if Sully would have to guess.
“Really?” the man asked, arching an eyebrow.
“Of course, why wouldn’t I want to go out with you?” the younger man asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. “In fact, we should go on a date,” he suddenly said, making Sully arch his eyebrow, clearly interested in what the younger man was up to.
“Wanna get first-hand experience of the date with Victor Sullivan?” the man asked in a teasing manner.
“Hmm,” Nate hummed, tapping with his index finger over his chin. “Should I agree to help you, and suffer a date with you, with a possibility of getting free dinner and some nice time?” he asked himself, making Sully snort. “Yeah, I think I will manage,” the younger man shrugged in the end with a fake serious face, while in reality, barely suppressing his laugh.
Just by looking at him, Sully could feel that his mood drastically improved. Only Nate could make him feel better with just his presence nearby.
“You are so extra, you know that?” the man rolled his eyes, smiling at his friend.
“Oh, hush, you like it,” Nate sassed with a wink and tackled his hands behind his head.
“Never said I don’t,” the man admitted. “So, are you free tomorrow? For our date?” Sully asked, narrowing his eyes, specifically stressing the word ‘date’, waiting for Nate to chick out. “Say, around five?”
The younger man took a few seconds to think of it, before responding:
“Tomorrow I am all yours.”
“Great, then I will pick you up,” Sully nodded more to himself.
“Sure, can’t wait,” Nate smiled, starting to get up. “Now, excuse me, I still have some drinks to serve,” he jerked his head in the direction of the bar.
“Oh, yeah, right,” Sully winced and looked at the time. Nate still has to work for nearly two hours.
Nate chuckled and went to pick up some glasses that were left by customers.
In the meantime, Sully took out his phone from the pocket of his pants, arranging a reservation to some nice restaurant.
After all, tomorrow he has a date.
***
Standing in front of the wooden door that separated him from Nate’s apartment, Sully grabbed the bouquet of sunflowers more firmly in his hand and took a moment to collect his thoughts.
He really was doing it.
Sully really was going on a date with Nate.
Un-fucking-believable.
The strangest part? The man barely was nervous. Until now he was stressing before his dates, willing to put a good impression of himself, but with Nate, it wasn’t needed, was it? Of course, the man still felt some light knots tightening in his stomach once or twice, yet he knew it was more the feeling of excitement than worry.
Sully was excited to have a date with his best friend, and this already was so much different from how he usually feels about such things.
Raising his hand, the man knocked at the door, and in a matter of a few moments, it swung open revealing Nate in all his glory.
“Oh, hi, Sully!” the younger man greeted him, stepping aside to let the man in. “Come in, I’m almost ready,” he said as the man moved to step in.
“Hi, kid,” he smiled at the younger man. “This is for you,” Sully added, handing Nate sunflowers.
Well, if widely opened eyes and rosed eyebrows were telling something to Sully, it was that this Nate clearly did not expect.
“You got me flowers?” the younger man asked hesitantly, accepting the bouquet.
Smiling, the man nodded.
“That’s what I sometimes do on the first dates,” he shrugged and gestured at sunflowers. “Plus, those ones remind me of you,” the man added, avoiding looking Nate in the eyes.
“Thank you, they are beautiful,” the younger man said with a tender smile. “I never received flowers before,” he muttered as he moved to put the bouquet in the vase.
Sully wasn’t sure whether he was supposed to hear the last line but nevertheless made himself a mental note regarding this information.
Nate came back in a few minutes, already putting the coat on.
Now, there was nothing special in what Sully did next. They had been very close friends for months, so helping each other with clothes wasn’t something out of character.
When the man stepped into Nate’s personal space to help him with the collar of his coat, Nate didn’t even blink. The younger man did, however, freeze for a moment when Sully commented.
“You look great, by the way.”
The silence wasn’t loud, it wasn’t awkward, much to the man’s relief. Nate turned to face him with a blush on his cheeks.
“Well, and you for sure know how to make your dates feel special, Mr. Sullivan,” he said, making the man snort.
Sully had a very good feeling regarding this date.
***
He was absolutely right because it was ages since he had so much fun on a date.
At first, Tony drove them to the nice Italian restaurant. When they settled and made their order, the conversation naturally went from topic to topic. When they only started, Nate suggested pretending like they didn’t know each other already, and Sully agreed because maybe his problem was in something he was saying.
However, they forgot that they needed to pretend within half an hour.
So, they just talked. Sully was sharing his badass stories from his past adventure; Nate shared his own stories from the bar, and somehow his stories sometimes were more badass than Sully’s.
They laughed and joked around, commenting on their drinks, and just having an evening to themselves.
When it was time to round up, both agreed to go to Sully’s place. Tomorrow Nate has a shift, so it is just so logical for him to go to the man’s place.
Not like Sully minded, not when he was the one who offered.
“So,” the man started when they entered his apartment. “On a scale from zero to ten, how likely you would go on a second date with me?” he asked, putting his and Nate’s coats in the wardrobe.
“Oh, ten, definitely,” Nate responded, moving to the small bar the man had to make both of them some drinks.
“Really?” Sully asked in disbelief, coming back into the room and falling on the couch with a nice view of how the younger man worked.
“Uh-huh,” Nate confirmed, adding orange zest to the glasses. “I really like our date,” he chuckled, making the man smile at the sound of it. “You were super attentive, your jokes were funny, you planned where we would go, brought flowers, hell yes, it was an amazing date,” the younger man finished, and picked up glasses.
After giving the man his drink, Nate took a seat next to him, turning to face him.
“Then I don’t understand,” Sully muttered and took a sip of his drink. “Oh, this is heaven, kid,” he moaned when he got the taste of the cocktail Nate made.
A perfect ending to a perfect date.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t help with your dating situation,” Nate said, putting his drink down.
“Not your fault, kid,” Sully assured him, with a sad smile. “But the date indeed was amazing.”
That brought a smile to the younger man’s face, and he nudged Sully’s shoulder with his hand.
“You know what?” he asked, getting up. “Let’s end our date with a nice movie,” Nate proposed, already grabbing the remote from the TV.
Sully shook his head with a fond smile. Nate could feel him better than anyone else, it always made the man believe that the younger Drake was literally reading his mind, knowing what to say and what to do so the man would feel better.
“Find the movie? I will grab us popcorn and some snacks,” he offered, jerking his head in the direction of the kitchen. “I think I even have your favourite toffee candies.”
Yeah, right, ‘even’, like he didn’t bulk his cupboard with them a week ago.
That made Nate smile even wider.
“Deal,” the younger man agreed, turning on the TV and opening the list with their Netflix recommendations.
Mr. Whiskers who until now was silently sleeping in a different room, approached them and after a little stretching, jumped on the couch, letting both of them know that he would be joining them.
The warmth spread in the man’s chest.
Yep, a perfect ending to their date.

It’s been two weeks after they had been on a date when Nate texted Sully.
From: Kid 4:16 PM
Free today?
Sully looked at the message in confusion, not really understanding what Nate meant by this. They didn’t talk about their date after that night, not ignoring just not really acknowledging it at the same time. They had a great time, Sully loved hanging out with Nate and was happy that nothing changed between them, there was no awkwardness, nothing…
Well, looks like someone was up to another night out, and Sully honestly had nothing against it. This week was draining for both of them, Sully had so much work to complete as a private collector, and Nate, oh, the man couldn’t even imagine how tired Nate was from all those clients in the bar.
So, he quickly typed back, just to tease the younger man a little bit.
From: Sully the Thief 4:18 PM
Are you asking me out?
From: Kid 4:18 PM
Sure, I am, be ready at six ;)
Sully grinned at his screen, ignoring how his heart skipped a beat. He has a date to get ready for.
Turned out that Nate’s idea of going out was to pick him up, have a coffee in a nice bakery, and take a walk to their next destination. The younger man planned for them to go to the new exhibition in the history museum, walk hand by hand among ancient stuff, read legends, and just admire the history.
He also brought flowers. Pink peonies. Sully’s favourite.
Needless to say, they had a marvellous time together.
***
Their first kiss happened on their third date.
This time Sully was the one who initiated it and invited Nate to his place. They cooked dinner together… well, Nate was the one who did most of the cooking, but Sully was eager to help. Even when he almost set pasta on fire.
The man set the table, leaving a new bouquet he got for Nate in the middle of it.
Scarlet red carnations. At least fifty of them, looking nicely in carnelian colour wrapping paper. Nate would turn around to look at them every two to three minutes, with a tender smile on his lips.
That made Sully’s heart beat faster.
After they ate and the dishes were put in a dishwasher, Nate made them some drinks and they settled in front of the TV to watch a new movie. However, compared to the last time they had a movie night something was a little different. This time, instead of sitting with nearly a foot between them, they sat close to each other. So close, after only ten minutes of a movie, they ended up cuddling.
Their choice ended up on some cheesy rom-com, and honestly, it’s been a long time since Sully laughed so much because of the movie.
It even reminded him of his first date with the younger Drake.
“How do you usually end your dates?” Nate suddenly asked as the end titles started to roll up.
That made the man pause and look at the younger man in confusion.
“What do you mean?” Sully didn’t really understand what the younger man was implying.
“Well,” he straightened up to look at the man. “I was just wondering, when we had our first date, we came to yours, but what do you usually do?” Nate elaborated on his question seeing that Sully was bewildered. “You know, do you walk them to their place, you rent a room in a hotel, I don’t know,” he shrugged in the end after listing some of the options.
Oh, Sully didn’t even think about that anymore, but apparently the plot of the movie made Nate think of the first time they went out too. Huh, Sully didn’t even think that they didn’t stick to the original plan which was to taste the ‘usual date’, and not just ‘go on a date’.
Oops.
“Hmm,” he took a moment to think. “I guess, this depends, if I know the date was a failure then we part, maybe have sex if we are up to it, but most of the time we just go home separately,” he started, rubbing at his chin while thinking. “If the date was successful then I probably wouldn’t want to look like rush things and just order an Uber or walk them home, and nine cases of a ten we would have a kiss in the end,” he said, feeling a bit awkward talking about his usual date’s habits, yet Nate was listening to him very carefully, not making it uncomfortable in any way.
And then the younger man gasped, pressing his right hand to his chest.
“Ah! I was robbed of a kiss! This is unacceptable!” he exclaimed dramatically, pressing the back of his left-hand palm to his forehead to add more drama.
There was a five-second silence before both of them busted into tears from laughing. They calmed down in a few minutes, still smiling.
“Actually, I said that we kiss if the date was a success,” the man pointed out, picking up and taking a sip of his drink.
He loves it, how he so easily can joke with Nate, how they can push each other in such a way it could actually look like flirting.
“Well, I recall you saying that this was an amazing date!” Nate argued in a teasing manner, crossing his hands over his chest. “Where is my kiss, Victor?” he added in a fake serious tone. “Oh, what if it is the kissing that pushes your dates away?”
Rolling his eyes, Sully snorted, trying to cover the fact that his heart just did a flip.
“You want this kiss, kid?” he asked, putting his drink on the glass table in front of the couch. Nate, the little shit, had the audacity to nod. Well, the younger man clearly was teasing him, and who was Sully not to accept the challenge? “Come and get it then,” the man said, leaning at the back of the couch.
If he thought that this would make the younger Drake bailout, he clearly was wrong.
“You think I won’t?” he asked, arching an eyebrow.
Despite his best judgment, Nate didn’t chick out. He same as Sully put his glass on the table and moved closer to the man. Only he didn’t stop when their knees touched, no, when he reached a quite intrigued man, he threw his leg over the man, straddling his hips, and moved his hands to place them on Sully’s shoulders.
As Nate landed on his lap, the man’s hands on instinct level went up to the younger Drake’s waist, then travelled down a bit, before he could remind himself that it was Nate, his friend, and they were just messing around.
However, all those thoughts flew out of his mind as Nate leaned in, crashing their lips together in a passionate, demanding kiss, making the man instantly grab on the younger man’s lean body more firmly. Sully would never admit it, even under the torture, but he moaned as Nate bit at his lower lip, asking for permission to deepen the kiss, and he parted his lips almost immediately. The younger man’s hand travelled to the man’s hair, grabbing at the dark locks, making Sully lose his mind over and over again just over a simple kiss.
The man wasn’t sure how much time had passed when they parted, all he knew was that Nate was close to him, very close, his pupils were widened, cheeks flushed, he looked as wild as Sully felt, and the man loved it.
“You are full of surprises,” Sully whispered, looking Nate in the eyes, still trying to catch his breath.
He couldn’t help but notice how Nate’s breath hitched when the man’s fingers touched a line of exposed skin, all those movements made the younger man’s copper pullover rose.
“Well, it's definitely not the kissing,” Nate announced, leaning back from the man a little.
Sully barked a laugh at this conclusion, and the younger man chuckled as well.
“Yep, apparently it’s not,” Sully agreed, still not letting Nate completely pull away with his hands a little lower the younger man’s waist. “Or not all my kisses are that good,” he muttered before he could even think what this phrase could imply.
That made Nate tilt his head to the side as if he were trying to solve a particularly tricky task.
And then he made Sully speechless.
“I guess we will have to find out,” he said with a shrug and leaned in to reconnect their lips.
Sully was way too happy to answer to this kiss, to even try and question why would he be happy to kiss his best friend.
***
The kissing didn’t stop. No, on the contrary, now, every time they would meet, they would share a kiss. No matter where they were and how long they didn’t see each other.
And it continued for a few months, along with dates, of course.
It was just a matter of time before a simple kiss wouldn’t be enough anymore.
Probably, that was the reason, why now Nate was sitting on the wooden table in Sully’s office, with the man standing between his parted legs, kissing him like Nate was the last source of life on the planet. Today they managed to steal an ancient cup that could lead to a huge fortune, and after a celebratory dinner, they went to Sully’s place where Nate, unnoticeably to both of them, was staying every night over the last two months.
How Nate ended up on the table with Sully’s tongue in his throat will stay unknown for both of them. Sully just felt this burning urge to kiss the younger man the moment they entered their apartment, so he did it.
Not like Nate complained anyway, not when he was pulling the man closer by locking his ankles behind Sully’s hips, while his fingers began working on unbuttoning the man’s dressing shirt, while the man himself let his hands travel over Nate’s body.
The realisation of what was actually happening, hit Sully only when he understood that both he and Nate didn’t have shirts anymore, and the man nearly knocked over the vase with crimson red tulips, he got Nate yesterday, on the floor.
That sobered him up a bit, and it made Sully understand that he didn’t want to stop. Yet, he needed to make sure that both sides were in full consent.
“You sure you want this, kid?” he rasped, not being able to resist and tail his kisses up to the younger man’s ear, only to suck on the lobe afterward.
“If you stop now, I will never forgive you,” Nate responded, letting a loud moan slip from his lips, when Sully bit down on his neck, leaving the first dark mark.
“Well, we couldn’t have that, could we?” Sully asked a rhetorical question before adding. “Hold tight,” and with that grabbed Nate by his alluring ass, making the younger man wrap his hands around him as Sully moved in the direction of his bedroom.
***
A month have passed since that day, and Sully honestly couldn’t be happier. Now, Nate always stays in his place, in his bed even, because two weeks ago Sully offered him to move in and the younger man agreed immediately. It was only logical, why would Nate need to pay for his rent if he crashes at the man’s place every day? Why would he need to sleep on the couch in the living room, if they spend their nights together anyway?
The dates never stopped either.
Just yesterday Nate took Sully to a nice Italian restaurant to celebrate the seven-month anniversary of their first date. A red camellia bouquet that stands on the glass table in their living room, was a nice reminder of their great evening.
Well, this, and the clothes that were thrown across the whole room, which they were ripping off of the bodies of each other in an act of their passion.
Sully smiled at the memory… Gosh, he just loved Nate so much…
That thought made him freeze in bed.
Oh, God, that explains so much. His heart stammers each time he sees Nate, how happy he is when the younger man is around, how much he is jealous when some assholes flirt with his Nate at the bar… Time, how the time spent with the younger Drake never seems enough… he really was in love with Nate, wasn’t he?
Sully turned in bed to look at the younger man but was met by already cold sheets and an indented pillow. Only then did the man hear quite a noise lingering from the kitchen.
Looks like Nate woke up early today.
Throwing on the first pair of sweats he could find in his drawer, Sully quickly made a stop at the bathroom and followed his way to where he could feel the nice smell was coming from. And stopped at the door, just to admire this moment a little more.
Nate was cooking something at the stove, standing with his back to Sully in just boxers and the man’s old t-shirt. The collar of the shirt was stretched, exposing more skin than initially should be, but the younger man clearly didn’t mind this.
“Are you gonna stay there and watch me the whole morning?” Sully didn’t see that, but he could feel Nate’s teasing smile in his voice.
Not being even slightly ashamed of being caught, Sully went to Nate, sneaking his hands around the younger man’s waist pressing him closer to his body and nuzzling at his neck, whispered:
“Can you actually blame me? You know how much I like seeing you here,” his words were followed by a pattern of tender kisses pressed to the maroon marks Sully left on Nate’s soft skin the night before.
Chuckling, the younger man tilted his head slightly, giving Sully more access to his neck.
“And you know how much I like being here,” he responded, turning off the stove, and after flipping the last pancake on the plate, slowly moved to face the man.
Looking Nate in the eyes, getting lost in the colour of honey, having him in his arms, Sully just felt so happy and whole at that moment, so the words just slipped from his lips:
“I think I am in love with you, kid,” the man confessed, feeling as if his heart was ready to jump out of the rib cage when he understood that he had said that out loud.
He was scared to look at the younger man and see the disgust, scared to find out that he just ruined whatever they had, with his bare hands.
However, Nate’s smile made him feel that he could breathe again.
“You think?” Nate teased yet moved his hands higher to place them on the man’s shoulders.
Snorting, Sully shook his head.
“No, I know it,” he assured him. “I am definitely in love with you, kid,” the man declared, eyes catching each change in Nate’s facial expression.
That gave him a chance to witness as Nate’s eyes sparkled with happiness as he leaned closer to the man.
“Good,” he whispered, inches away from Sully’s lips. “Because I am in love with you, too,” and with that locked their lips in a tender kiss, opening to Sully a completely new spectrum of feelings.
The man was more than happy to indulge in the uncharted sensation, swearing to himself to do everything in his power and more to keep Nate by his side forever.
