Wyll was late.
He meant to show up earlier, before the sunrise, to surprise Gale, but time in Avernus was very different from the prime material plane. And now here he was, being scolded by a cat— A tressym, because he was late and Gale looked sad this morning.
He tried to be fast in getting ready.
He had more time now, but he had much more to make up.
He paced down the hall, holding the flowers in hand as he tried to think of something to say, when all train of thought came to a freezing halt as the door opened.
Students leave the room, most of them ignoring Wyll which he was grateful for but the few that notice him give him a confused look as he waits patiently for people to get out of his way so he can go in. Once they stopped coming out, Wyll went in. Gale was packing his things, not really paying attention as Wyll watched him. His brows were pinched in thought, a deep frown was on his lips, and he looked tired.
And all Wyll wanted to do was kiss him senseless.
“Sorry I'm late.” Wyll said, startling Gale as the man looked up with wide eyes. Wyll smile, "I had plans for this morning but I am still not used to the time difference.” He looked down at the roses. “And I know this doesn't make up for it but—”
Gale grabbed his face with both hands, forcing Wyll to look up at him. “All I wanted was for you to come home to me, safety.” He smiled before leaning in for a soft kiss. The roses crumbled between them as Gale pulled Wyll in closer to deepen the kiss. Wyll let out a soft moan, dropping the flowers to grasp at Gale and pull him against him. Gale pulled back, though, smiling widely at Wyll as he whined and trying to follow to kiss him again with a flushed face. “If you really want to make it up to me,” He started with a teasing tone. “You'll take me home and I'll give you my gift.”
Wyll's eyes snapped open. “You didn't have to get me something, being with you is enough.”
“Well, it is more of a gift for me.” Gale laughed, “I also cannot return the lace set.”
“I—” Wyll's eyes widen, voice hitched. “What?”
