ok I am completely obsessed with this ship, and I haven't been into a ship this much in YEARS. I've got many ideas for these two but I don't have the writing skills to bring them to life, so I thought I'd toss one of them out there in case someone will be interested in writing it.
so I've got two DILF ocs who remind me so much of Lucifer and Adam, very similar dynamic. always at each others throats. lets call them A and Z. and I feel like their story would fit Luci and Adam pretty well.
Z and A HATE each other due to having a pretty shit history together, where Z betrayed A which led to unfortunate things happening to A. (there's also a bit of sexual tension there but both would rather die than admit it)
But since I'm not here to talk about Z and A I'll make a long story short and get to the juicy point where the enemies start to slowly become lovers.
A gets a seriously injured saving Z's daughter, whom he formed a bit of a connection with, Z asks him why he did it, and A claims its because no one deserves to feel the pain of losing a child, not even filth like Z. and he couldn't just sit back and watch it happen. (A had a son who got brutally killed in the past, and I'm sure we all know the story of Cain and Abel so I think this fits Adam pretty well)
from this point on Z starts to grow an appreciation for A, starts to feel a bit guilty about his part in A's unfortunate past, and develops an interest in helping A.
you see what I mean by this would make a pretty good adamsapple fic? maybe Adam spawns in hell as a demon, Charlie tries to help him, Lucifer isn't pleased and the two constantly bicker until Adam saves Charlie from some type of near death experience (or something similar) they have a heart to heart and lucifer starts to care for him from that point on.
I personally need more Adam angst so if anyone actually ends up using this idea in a fic post your link in the comments cause I would LOVE to read it <3
