Summary:

"Fanservice is just fanservice, nothing more. Remember that."

Minnie is in love with Miyeon, but for the latter it'is just fanservice. Or maybe not?

Work Text:

Love ... such a deep and sincere feeling, in which to express all your affection and feelings for the person you love, through whispered words, soft kisses, caresses, hugs, but also making your partner feel your presence in times of need.

Love is a wonderful feeling if reciprocated, but this is not the case with Minnie.

Minnie was only 25 years old and she was in love. Hers was a forbidden, almost sinful love. It's 2022, but South Korea is a conservative country, despite most of the world has already started to accept these types of couples.

For Minnie it was a natural thing. In Thailand, her native land, the LGBTQ+ community had become an integral part of society, but in Korea it was still a taboo, especially for idols like her.

Nicha was an idol, member of a six-girl group. Now the group only featured five members, but for Minnie, Soojin was still one of the members. The group members were very close to each other, but in particular, Nicha was close to Miyeon, the second oldest member of the group.

The two were the same age and, from day one, they had demonstrated excellent chemistry, but, especially after Soojin was forced to leave the group, Minnie and Miyeon had become inseparable, but for the Thai was becoming suffocating.

Fans shouted their names. The girls were there smiling and waving warmly.

Miyeon walked closer to Minnie, wrapping her arm around her hips, bringing a hand up, touching the girl's cheek with her index finger.

Nicha's heart was pounding, Miyeon's face was so close to hers.

It was always like this. Miyeon was so loving and clingy. Minnie was weak, her heart beat only for her, not recognizing the difference between love and fanservice. Because this was just fanservice… right?

“Miyeon,” Minnie whispered, drawing the girl's gaze to herself. Miyeon's eyes, so big and so brown, stared at her, as if they could look into her soul. “This… is just fanservice, right?”

“Of course, Min.” the brunette replied, without any hesitation.

“…Of course,” Minnie whispered, feeling her heart give out.

Minnie felt like she was dying, but she had to resist, she couldn't have an emotional breakdown there, in front of her beloved Neverland.

The hours passed, for Nicha it seemed like an eternity, but finally it was all over, their activities were over and finally the girls could return to their dormitories.

She hated going home, she felt suffocated by the brunette's ambiguous behavior.

Minnie, Miyeon and Yuqi shared the apartment, but Miyeon often invaded Nicha's spaces or asked her to watch movies together, sometimes she even asked her to sleep together, confusing the Thai's heart even more.

Back home, Minnie threw herself on the bed. Her eyes were fixed on the ceiling as tears began to fall freely down her face as she tried to suppress her sobs so as not to worry the two girls.

Nicha didn't understand what was happening to her, her heart was a mess and her mind was no different. She wanted to forget her feelings for the brunette, but it was impossible. Every second of their days was made up of moments together, preventing the Thai from distancing herself from her best friend.

The more she thought about it, the more she lost her breath.

Miyeon was so perfect, so lovable and she was so… hopeless .

“I-I hate this… I hate it… I-I hate myself.” Nicha whispered, choking on tears as she tried to breathe.

Her room felt like it was shrinking. The oxygen seemed to decrease with each passing second.

Minutes passed and Minnie seemed to be a lifeless body on her bed, her bedroom was dark, as she tried not to be consumed by her thoughts.

Nicha reached for her headphones, wrapping them around her ears, trying to block out the screaming thoughts in her head, slowly drowning in the notes of the song.

All this had started since the pre-debut, but the situation had gotten worse.

During the break in group activities, Nicha was sent home again, but her mental health was not the best, every day she missed the members and especially a certain brunette who was always by her side in times of need.

One day Minnie had a panic attack and the first person who came to her mind was Miyeon. The girl wouldn't stop crying on the phone, while Miyeon tried to do everything she could to console her, telling her about her days at M Countdown or how the filming of her new drama was going. After that night, the two decided that they would make a video call every day to keep each other company.

During the video calls, the two girls continued to repeat that they missed each other's presence and Minnie began to cultivate increasingly deeper feelings for the brunette that were new to her.

When Nicha finally returned to Korea, Miyeon did nothing but stay by her side, showing her affection and a lot of physical contact, confusing Nicha and her feelings.

Minnie no longer recognized the difference between friendship and love in their relationship.

It had been months since their return to the world of K-pop as a five-member group, but still Minnie felt like her feelings were getting harder to hide every day and sharing the dorm and room with Miyeon wasn't helping her.

Miyeon was always ready to lie down in bed with Minnie and cuddle her when she felt homesick or when she wasn't feeling well, but this caused a pang in her heart knowing that for the other girl were just gestures of friendship and affection, nothing more.

The decision had been very difficult, but if she wanted her broken heart to heal, Nicha needed to stay away from Miyeon as much as possible. Group activities and shoots as a couple for J.estina were enough  to bring them closer, at least in their dormitory, Minnie wanted to be alone.

Not to mention their fans who kept wanting the two to make their relationship official and Miyeon who kept fueling their hopes, posting photos of herself and Nicha or giving her hugs and kisses in public.

Confusing Minnie more than ever.

“Min?”

“Min!”

“MINNIE!?” Miyeon shouted, looking at Minnie slightly angry.

Minnie looked up, meeting Miyeon's slightly irritated gaze.

“S-Sorry, Yeon.” admitted the Thai, looking at the brunette. "Did you say something?"

Miyeon sighed boredly, before speaking again.

The two girls were in the van, returning to their dormitory after their activities.

“I don't understand what's happening to you recently. You don't want to take photos together anymore, you don't let me in your room, you don't want to watch movies together, we don't even talk that much. And now you don't even listen to me. You are always distracted or absent, as if your mind is elsewhere. As if that wasn't enough it seems as if you are trying to create distance between us. What's wrong with you?"

“I-I'm not avoiding you.” Minnie said, turning her gaze towards the window.

"Yes, you are! Even now, you’re doing it again.”

“No, I'm not.”

“So what, Minnie?” Miyeon said, raising the tone of her voice, slightly frustrated.

Minnie remained silent. She didn't know what to say, she was tired of everything and everyone. At that moment she couldn't help but hate Miyeon for the pressure she was putting on her.

“You're ruining everything, Min.”

“No, I'm just saving myself, Miyeon.” Minnie murmured, but Miyeon heard her.

"What? What do you mean?"

“Yeon, I'm falling in love… for you. And don't say things like 'you're just confused' , because yes, it's true, I'm confused, but by your actions, not by my feelings. You make it impossible for me to even try to forget these suffocating feelings.”

The two were silent for a few minutes, before Miyeon spoke.

“You can't feel that way, Minnie.”

“I know, you don't need to remind me, I'm trying. I'm doing my best to erase them, but I simply can't-"

“Then try harder.” Miyeon said, raising her voice. “Think about our work, Minnie. Think about the others and the damage you could cause. It was enough for Soojin to leave, I don't want anything to happen to any of us. Don't misunderstand my actions. Fanservice is just fanservice, nothing more. Remember that."

Minnie's heart was shattered. The tears were about to betray her. Her eyes were fixed on Miyeon's face, before her gaze returned to the window.

The van went silent. Even breathing hurt for Nicha.

After fifteen minutes, the van stopped in front of the entrance to their dormitory. Minnie rushed out, without waiting for Miyeon and without saying goodbye to their manager.

The Thai entered the apartment, without even greeting Yuqi, locking herself in her room.

Tears tracked her face, the oxygen in the room wasn't enough.

Minnie collapsed on the floor, pulling her knees up to her chest as she did nothing but cry.

The next morning, Minnie called the CEO, advising that she could not take part in group activities.

“Hi everyone.

This is CUBE Entertainment.

The following is an announcement regarding health issues and future schedules for (G)I-DLE member MINNIE.

This morning, MINNIE complained about symptoms of high fever. In accordance with the doctor’s recommendation, all schedules have been put on hold, and she is currently getting ample rest and treatment.

We apologize to fans. The company will do its best to assist the artist in regaining her health so that she can meet fans in good health.

Thank you.”

That morning, Minnie waited for Yuqi and Miyeon to leave the apartment so she could go out. The two girls were worried about their friend, even though Miyeon knew exactly why Minnie was like this.

The Thai packed a suitcase, taking some clothes, before heading to the agency. Nicha locked herself in her studio, not coming out for a week.

The girls were worried about her. Miyeon was worried about her. Coming home and seeing the girl's room empty was sad, but this was for the good of her best friend, the group, and everyone.

Minnie, unbeknownst to her roommates, had asked the CEO for a transfer to a single apartment, as Soyeon had done.

After a week, her request was granted.

It was a Saturday morning and the sun was scorching. Miyeon had just returned to the dormitory from her personal training at the agency.

"I am home." the brunette said, walking through the door.

Once inside, she was greeted by a couple of boxes positioned next to the entrance, some of them were already sealed, others were still open.

Yuqi was lying on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn resting on her stomach and a small bottle of coke placed on the coffee table, as she intently watched the Lakers game.

"Did I miss something?" Miyeon asked, peering into the boxes, recognizing Minnie's items inside. “What are Minnie's things doing in these boxes?”

“Minnie is moving.” Yuqi said, as if nothing had happened.

“W-What!?” Miyeon felt her heart shatter.

“She's going to live alone, like Soyeonnie.” Yuqi said, while her eyes were still fixed on the screen.

“Why wasn't I told anything?” the brunette asked, slightly hurt.

Yuqi didn't respond, shrugging innocently as she continued to watch the game.

“Where is Minnie now?” Miyeon asked, slightly angry.

“I think she's still in her room.”

Miyeon took off her shoes, positioning them disorderly in the shoe rack in the entrance, before running into Minnie's room.

The room was now empty, all her posters, her polaroids, her vinyls, her record player, everything that made that room Minnie's room had disappeared, now sealed in one of those boxes positioned at the entrance. Miyeon looked at Minnie, seeing the girl with a hoodie in her hands, running to her, snatching the hoodie from her hands, surprising her.

“MIYEON!” Nicha exclaimed, annoyed by the older girl's sudden action. “What are you doing?! Give me back that hoodie!”

"No." the brunette replied, stubbornly, clutching the hoodie in her arms, the scent of the Thai clinging to it which slowly reached Miyeon's nostrils, invading them. “When were you going to tell me? I'm your best friend, Min!”

Minnie sighed, feeling a pang in her heart… Best friend of course, because this was her for Miyeon, nothing more, nothing less.

How much it hurt to hear those words said directly to your face, as if they were two punches.

“I made a request to the CEO and I wasn't even sure he would accept, today he found me an apartment near the agency and I accepted.” Minnie explained, continuing to arrange her belongings. “You told me to solve the mess that I made. It's the only way I could think of. Now, move on, I have to finish tidying up.”

“Why didn't you tell me before?” the brunette asked again, with an angry face, clutching Nicha's sweatshirt in her hands.

The agency was far from the dorm, so Minnie's apartment would also be far for her to reach.

“I wasn't sure my request would be accepted, so I thought it was useless to tell you or Yuqi or anyone else in the group. Satisfied? Now, will you let me finish organizing my things? The driver will be passing through here in an hour and I must be done before he arrives.” Minnie said, starting to fold her things again.

Miyeon had suddenly gone silent, but Nicha still sensed her presence in the room.

Nicha sighed, trying as hard as she could to stay calm.

“I need my space, Yeon. Not only physically, but also socially. There are times when I want to be alone, but I'm always with at least one of you. I need a place where I can stay, alone and no one else." Minnie said, desperately. “I listened to your advice. We both need to stay distant from each other. Fanservice is just fanservice... Right? ”

Miyeon was slightly hurt by the Thai's words and coldness. In the last period, Miyeon had noticed a clear change in their relationship. Minnie tried to keep her distance as much as possible, the two no longer spent as much time together as before. Miyeon never managed to talk to Minnie, most of the time the Thai pretended to be asleep or made excuses. And now the girl was also leaving, making their relationship even more subtle. How did they get to that point?

“If you like that sweatshirt so much you can keep it.” Minnie said, snapping Miyeon out of her thoughts.

Miyeon looked at the sweatshirt. It wasn't just any sweatshirt, but it was Nicha's favorite.

“B-But it's your favorite.” Miyeon said, worried.

“I know, but if it helps you in any way to keep her, I'll gladly give it to you.” Minnie said, before stuffing another sweatshirt into the package on the floor.

“I-I don't care about your stupid sweatshirt. What's the point?" Miyeon said, pulling the sweatshirt over Nicha.

“Miyeon!” Minnie said, raising her voice. “I'm trying to do everything I can. I'm trying to push myself, but you continue to be impossibly ambiguous. First you tell me not to confuse friendship and love, then, now that I'm distancing myself from you, you tell me you don't want me to go away? Tell me what to do! Tell me or I'll go crazy trying to figure out what you want me to do.”

Miyeon became stone. Minnie had never shouted at her before.

The brunette ran out of Minnie's room, locking herself in her own. Minnie sighed, continuing to pack her things.

Half an hour later, the driver rang the bell. It was time to leave.

“Yuqi, could you help me move these boxes?” the Thai asked, glancing one last time at Miyeon's door.

The girl wasn't going out and Minnie felt such an idiot for hoping for it.

After about twenty minutes, Nicha was gone, but Miyeon didn't understand why her move caused her so much discomfort.

She wasn't going away forever. They would see each other every day at the agency.

But why did it seem like Minnie was leaving forever? Why did it seem like this would be her last chance to see or talk to Minnie?

Miyeon felt like shit for everything she had said to her the week before or how she had treated her.

Loving wasn't a sin. Falling in love is not a choice. We don't choose who to fall in love with. And she had just shattered her best friend's heart, precluding any possibility.

The weekend passed very slowly, for both girls.

The two spent Saturday nights watching films on the Thai's bed, while they ate pizza and laughed or cried together at the scenes projected on the cloth that Nicha hung on her closet every Saturday night so they could watch the film.

The two girls, lying on Nicha's bed. Miyeon's head on Minnie's breast, while the Thai caressed her head.

All this was now ash.

Minnie had spent her weekend locked in her studio, trying to compose songs, but her head was empty, only Miyeon was there.

Miyeon had spent the weekend on her bed staring into the void or on the couch staring at the television to pass the time, hoping not to think about Minnie.

Monday arrived and Minnie had to resume her activities after the break.

The Thai had spent the night in her studio at the agency. Her apartment was too empty, it didn't feel like a home to her.

There was a knock on the door while Minnie was still under the covers.

"Give me a second." Nicha said, raising her voice, before getting out of bed and putting her sweatshirt on.

Nicha opened the door, seeing a slightly tired Miyeon in front of her. Minnie looked down, seeing that the girl's sweatshirt had a coffee stain on.

“Miyeon?” Minnie asked, surprised.

“Y-Yes. Soyeon asked me to come to you to call. Practice is about to begin.” the brunette said, not looking Nicha in the eye.

“Ah.” Minnie said, looking down. "Thank you."

Miyeon nodded. The two didn't know what to do anymore. They didn't know how to behave with each other.

The brunette was ready to leave, when Minnie grabbed her wrist.

"Wait." Minnie said, gently pulling the girl inside, before closing the door behind her.

Nicha took off her sweatshirt, remaining only in her sports bra.

“W-What are you doing?!” the brunette exclaimed, scandalized.

“Here.” the Thai said, handing the sweatshirt to Miyeon. “You have a coffee stain on your sweatshirt.”

“O-Oh… Thanks.” Miyeon murmured, reaching for the sweatshirt.

Minnie picked up the t-shirt on her chair, putting it on.

“When you're done, make sure the door is closed.” Nicha said, before walking out of the room, leaving Miyeon alone.

The brunette looked at the sweatshirt, clutching it in her hands.

How could Minnie still be so kind after everything she had done to her?

Miyeon looked around, seeing the couch and the blanket on it, indicating where Minnie had been sleeping. On the desk there was still Nicha's mini keyboard and her computer turned on with the beginning of the backing track of a new song still on it.

Miyeon could project Minnie's every action in here in her mind. Minnie spent her nights in her studio, only when stressed. Miyeon couldn't help it, but she was worried about her, even though she didn't deserve anything.

The brunette quickly changed her sweatshirt, leaving it on her friend's chair, before leaving the room.

When Miyeon entered the practice room, the girls were all there, but her eyes were still searching for her . Nicha was in front of the mirror, stretching. She smiled bitterly, before joining Soyeon and the others at the couches.

The practice went well for everyone except Minnie and Miyeon. The two of them seemed tired and stressed, missing steps or getting the timing wrong.

“Okay, tell me what you two have?” Soyeon asked the two girls.

The two looked into each other's eyes, but immediately looked away.

"Nothing." Minnie said, looking at the leader. "It's my fault."

“Well, if it's your fault, then fix it.” Soyeon said, slightly annoyed.“You’ll create problems with the group and fans will ask questions.”

Minnie sighed, before leaving the room, returning to her studio, leaving the two girls there.

“Minnie, I'm not done!” Soyeon said, raising her tone, but the girl had already left.

“Soyeon, don't scold her too." Miyeon said, grabbing Soyeon's wrist. “This week must have been tough for her. I'll talk to her."

"All right." said the short girl.

Miyeon grabbed her things, walking over to Minnie.

The brunette knocked on the door, but no one answered. The lights were turned off.

“Min, are you there?” Miyeon asked, but no one answered.

The brunette waited a few minutes before leaving.

Minnie was there, on the couch crying. Her gaze fixed towards the glass door. The door was opaque, but Nicha could clearly see Miyeon's perfect silhouette. The brunette's voice rang in her ears, making her want to cut them off.

Two weeks had passed since she opened her heart to Miyeon, but Nicha still couldn't help but love her best friend.

♫₊˚.🎧 ♫₊˚.🎧.˚₊♫🎧.˚₊♫

Two months had now passed and the relationship between the two girls had become even more subtle.

Minnie felt like she had ruined everything. She wasn't the same anymore.

Fans continued to complain about the "cold war" between the two girls and how Miyeon had “cheated” on Minnie with Shuhua.

Nicha felt wrong about everything. She couldn't even write her songs. During rehearsals she got her steps wrong and Soyeon scolded her.

Two months have passed and she still hasn't passed a night in her new apartment , spending every night in her studio or rehearsal room to train.

It was late at night and Nicha was in the practice room, trying to train. Her head was spinning, her face red and her body heavy as a boulder.

The girl was training when someone knocked on the door.

Minnie suddenly stopped, but soon began to feel dizzy, before falling to the floor unconscious.

The door opened and Miyeon walked in, seeing Nicha on the floor, unconscious. The brunette ran to her, giving her two soft slaps on the face, trying to make her wake up, but nothing.

Miyeon immediately called their manager, alerting him to Nicha's condition.

Before the man arrived, Minnie opened her eyes slightly, seeing Miyeon in front of her.

“N-Now I'm even hallucinating?” Minnie murmured, bringing her hands to her eyes, before trying to get up.

“No, Min.” Miyeon said, stopping the Thai from getting up. “You are still very weak. Stay down, the manager is coming.”

“Stop it, Yeon. Stop confusing me… I'm trying so hard to move on, but it's impossible if you stay by my side.”

Minnie was desperate. Her heart ached. She wanted to be able to wrap Miyeon in her arms, kiss her and love her, but she simply couldn't.

The Thai put her hands to her eyes, remaining silent, before starting to sob.

Miyeon looked at her, not knowing what to do.

“I-I'm tired…” Nicha murmured between sobs. “P-Please, Yeon. Leave me alone."

The Thai slowly removed her hands from her face, looking at the brunette. Her eyelids were heavy, but she could still see the girl's beauty.

“Minnie… Please don't do that.” Miyeon said, petting the girl.

Minnie closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.

Miyeon hugged Nicha, holding her close. Oh, how she missed her best friend. How she missed holding her in her arms, feeling their bodies so close.

Nicha was so fragile and weak.

Their manager arrived, taking Minnie in his arms, loading her into the back seat of the van.

“Miyeon, can I leave Nicha with you? I have the code to her apartment, if you could kindly take care of her. She might feel more comfortable with a friend.” the man said, driving towards the Thai's house.

"All right." Miyeon said, looking at Minnie sleeping on her lap.

♫₊˚.🎧 ♫₊˚.🎧.˚₊♫🎧.˚₊♫

Nicha was in her bed, sleeping. Miyeon had changed her clothes, making her wear pajamas.

Minnie's house was empty, all her things were still packed up and the fridge was empty. There wasn't even instant ramen.

Nicha was the tidiest of the group and now… her house was a mess. It looked like no one had ever set foot there. The bed didn't even have a mattress on the camp bed.

Miyeon left the house, running to the supermarket, buying everything needed to cook dinner for Nicha, before running to the pharmacy to get some medicines.

After half an hour, Miyeon returned to the apartment. Minnie was still sleeping.

The brunette approached her, placing her lips on the girl's forehead. Nicha was hot, her fever was high and she was delirious.

“Mmh…” Minnie murmured, stirring in her sleep. “Y-Yeon… Yeon”

Minnie was crying. Nothing came out of her lips except sobs and Miyeon's name.

“Min, I'm here.” Miyeon whispered, caressing the Thai.

Nicha opened her eyes as she cried, grabbing Miyeon's wrists as she continued to fuss.

“W-What don't I have, Yeon… what…” the Thai murmured, gently pulling Miyeon towards her. “I-Is it so wrong to be in love… please… I love you so much…” she whispered, almost empty of energy. “I love you…” she whispered.

The two girls' faces were inches apart. Minnie's hand was now on Miyeon's face, caressing her face.

The brunette felt butterflies in her stomach, but she still didn't know what to do.

Minnie couldn't take her eyes off those of the girl she loved.

“It's all a dream anyway…” Minnie whispered, caressing Miyeon's face, softly tracing the details. “I wish I could go back… I wish I hadn't said anything… losing you hurts more than anything.” Minnie now had her eyes on the girl's lips, while she gently caressed them with her thumb. “You are beautiful even in my dreams.” she murmured, lifting her head, their noses touching. “There aren't enough words in the world to describe how much I love you.”

Miyeon erased the space between their lips, capturing Minnie's lips between hers. Soft and hot lips, delicate like Minnie and gentle like her and her love.

With that kiss, Miyeon had finally understood that the relationship between her and Nicha was not just friendship, but love. Miyeon wanted Minnie, she wanted her kisses on the lips, her caresses on her face, she wanted her arms wrapped around her body, like when they watched movies together on her bed.

She missed Minnie so much… her Minnie. The first person in the group who had spoken to her when she was the new member. The person who had stayed up nights to listen to her and dry her tears, whispering how loved she was. She loved her more than anyone and had been unafraid to admit her feelings.

And Miyeon? What had she done for her? Even when Minnie needed her most, after Soojin left the group, they were miles apart, she couldn't promise anything but words.

Minnie was so fragile and sensitive and Miyeon had disintegrated her heart just to not face her own fears.

The brunette stepped back, seeing Nicha smiling. Her eyes were closed, but on her lips was the most beautiful smile Miyeon had ever seen on her best friend's face.

“I love you, Min.” Miyeon whispered, caressing the Thai's face. "Forgive me."

♫₊˚.🎧 ♫₊˚.🎧.˚₊♫🎧.˚₊♫

Minnie opened her eyes, not recognizing the place. It wasn't her studio or dorm.

“Ah,” she whispered, remembering that she had her own apartment.

The Thai put her fingers to her lips, touching them.

“What a beautiful dream.” she whispered to herself, before trying to get up.

Her head was spinning as she tried to slip in the slippers. Her room’s door opened, revealing Miyeon with a tray in her hands.

“You can't get up yet, Min.” the brunette said, placing the tray on the desk, before running to Nicha, helping her to lie down, arranging the pillows behind her back. “You are still weak.”

Minnie looked at her, surprised, as Miyeon continued to tuck her in. The brunette placed a hand on Nicha's forehead, trying to measure the temperature.

“You still have a fever.” Miyeon said, before picking up the tray. “Eat, so you can take your pills and you go back to sleep.”

“What are you doing here, Miyeon?” the Thai asked, slightly irritated.

“I know I have no right, but I was too scared last night when I saw you on the floor. I wanted to make sure you didn't neglect your health." the brunette said, moving the tray to the bedside table next to the bed, before picking up the spoon and bowl.

“Are you doing it to feel less guilty? If so, know that I don't want your pity." said Minnie, bitterly.

Miyeon remained silent, while she couldn't help but look at her best friend, who was angry with her for the first time.

“Do you know what pisses me off the most, Miyeon?” the Thai asked, chuckling bitterly. “Not that you rejected me, but that you keep confusing me. You keep coming at me, you keep acting like I don't have a heart." Nicha said, spitting out every word like poison. “My heart can't take it anymore! You told me to try harder , but how can I do it if you are always by my side?! My heart flutters every time you are near me. I even tried to hate you, but my stupid heart loves you more than my reason. I hate all this… it's suffocating.”

“I-I am so sorry.” Miyeon said, without another word, before leaving the room.

Minnie sighed bitterly, before turning her gaze towards the tray, on which there were pills, water and hot soup. The Thai ate and took her medicine before trying to sleep.

“I love you, Min.” she whispered “Forgive me.”

“It must have been a dream.” Minnie said, vaguely remembering what had happened the previous night. "It will never happen."

Nicha closed her eyes, falling asleep.

When she woke up, the fever was gone. Minnie got out of her bed, no longer seeing the tray and dirty clothes in her room.

The girl left the room, seeing her "dirty" clothes hanging on the clothesline, in an attempt to dry.

The Thai heard the sound of water coming from the kitchen, seeing Miyeon from behind, while she was washing the bowl she had eaten from.

Some things had been put away and some of the boxes were empty next to the door. With Miyeon's presence, Minnie felt this apartment more hers.

“Miyeon,” Minnie said, catching the brunette's attention.

“Oh, are you awake? How do you feel?” Miyeon asked, keeping her distance.

"B-Better." the two remained silent for a few minutes, before Minnie spoke. “I'm sorry for how I behaved before, I shouldn't have raised my voice at you.”

“I deserved it. I was selfish and hurt your feelings… forgive me.” the brunette said, looking down.

The silence between the two was suffocating. They both wanted to speak, but neither had the courage to do so.

“I-I saw you did my laundry.” Minnie said, pointing to the window behind her. "You didn’t have to."

"Oh! Yes, I thought maybe it would be best to help you, your health is not good now, so. I also went shopping and bought some medicine. I saw that there was nothing here.” Miyeon said.

“Y-Yes.” Minnie admitted, almost embarrassed. “In the two months since I moved, I've come here once or twice at most. It still doesn't seem like my home .”

“Sorry." Miyeon said, looking down.

"For what?"

“It's my fault… It's all my fault. I shouldn't have told you those things, I shouldn't have forced you to forget those feelings. All this time I've been a terrible friend." Miyeon said, putting her hand in her hair, ruffling them slightly out of desperation. “I'm… terrible. It's my fault you had to move. I hate not being able to talk to you, not being able to watch movies with you… I miss my best friend.”

Minnie sighed, looking down.

“I know, Miyeon. I miss you too, I just… you're no longer just a friend to me. I tried to eradicate these feelings. I really tried.” Nicha said, looking at Miyeon, desperately. “But it’s stronger than me.”

“Then don't do it.”

“W-What?”

“T-There's something I didn't tell you…” Miyeon was flustered and couldn't speak.

Nicha approached her, taking her hands, stroking the backs of her hands.

“Take a deep breath.” Minnie said in her calm voice. “You know you can tell me anything.”

“I-I like you.” Miyeon said. The girl's eyes were closed in fear, she couldn't look Minnie in the eyes. “I've liked you for a long time and… I was over the moon when you confessed your feelings to me, but I was scared. Soojin just left the group and I don't want to cause harm to you or the others because of my feelings. That's why I reacted so coldly and violently. Forgive me, please."

Miyeon was breathless, Minnie's hands were gripped tightly in hers as she tried to catch her breath.

“I was afraid of my feelings, but when you left the dorm… My heart shattered. Seeing you destroy your health because of me… I feel like an idiot. Min… please forgive me”

Nicha wrapped her arms around Miyeon. The brunette's face was in the crook of Minnie's neck as the two shared a sweet embrace after months apart.

Miyeon began to sob in Minnie's arms, while the Thai caressed her head, helping her to relax.

“F-Forgive me.”

“Shh.” Minnie whispered, trying to calm the girl. “It’s okay to be confused, Yeon. Nobody has all the answers. You were just scared, everything is fine. Now you told me… you were brave.”

Miyeon looked Minnie in the eyes. Oh how she missed her best friend.

“Can we try again, Min?” Miyeon asked.

"Of course. You won't need to tell everyone. We'll tell the others when you're ready." said Minnie, caressing the girl's cheek, drying her tears.

The brunette engulfed Minnie in a hug, making her feel all her love.

“I love you, Min… I love you… I love you.” Miyeon whispered.

Nicha stood still. This was really happening… Miyeon loved her.

“I love you too, Yeon… I really do.” Nicha whispered, squeezing Miyeon lightly.

“Sleep with me, Yeon.” Nicha said, stroking the girl's wrist. “It's been a long time since we slept together.”

The brunette smiled, blushing, before approaching Minnie, getting under the covers.

The two girls' faces were only inches apart. Miyeon lifted Minnie's head, placing it on her soft breast, caressing her.

Nicha wrapped her arms around the brunette's waist, caressing her hips as she listened to the girl's gentle heartbeat.

"I love you." Miyeon whispered, surprising Minnie.

The Thai raised her head and Miyeon already had her eyes closed, while her hand was still on Nicha's head.

"I love you too." Minnie whispered, before falling asleep.

Miyeon was the first to wake up, seeing Minnie asleep on her body, her face completely buried in the crook of her neck.

The brunette turned her beloved's face away slightly, observing her beauty. Miyeon caressed her face, moving some strands of her hair. Minnie moved slightly, starting to stretch, before opening her eyes.

The two had their eyes fixed on each other. Miyeon had Minnie's face in her hands as she kept caressing her cheeks.

“You have always meant the world to me, Minnie.” Miyeon whispered, placing a kiss on the girl's forehead. “I'm sorry if I made you doubt this.”

Minnie rose slightly, closing the space between their faces, stopping inches apart.

“You too for me, Yeon.” she whispered, before giving a sweet peck on the girl's lips.

Miyeon moved her hands from Nicha's face, onto her shoulders, preventing her from moving away. The two shared a soft, romantic kiss as they smiled and locked eyes.

Minnie took Miyeon's hand, bringing it to her lips, kissing her knuckles.

“Unfortunately we can't hide forever, but we will try to be as cautious as possible.” Minnie explained, brushing her lips over Miyeon's knuckles. “When you're ready we'll tell the others. For now, it will be our little secret.”

“I'm ready, Min. I'm not afraid anymore. As long as you are by my side I can do anything. I want to tell the others and our friends, if you agree. I'm just afraid the reporters will find out." Miyeon said, looking down.

"I'm ready. We will only tell the people we love. We will do it together. We will do everything we can to keep it from the reporters." Minnie said, kissing Miyeon's knuckles, before giving her a kiss on the cheek and one on her forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too." Miyeon whispered, wrapping her arms around Minnie's neck, pulling her towards her.

“Miyeon… Do you want to be my girlfriend?” Nicha whispered in the brunette's ear.

"YES!" The two sealed their new beginning with a soft and loving kiss.
