"I hate this." Karasu whined as he went through his social media feeds. Everything, everywhere he looked was filled with Isagi and Sae's latest game and goal. He knew he shouldn't be jealous, there was nothing to be jealous of. Isagi was his boyfriend since before NEL had started, Isagi promised and gave his love to Karasu Tabito, not Itoshi Sae. Isagi calls him every night, and Isagi visits him every chance he can get. So, there was nothing really to be jealous of, Karasu knew all of that. But, he was. He was jealous of the way everyone on the internet kept saying that Sae and Isagi had a better chemistry on the field, he was jealous whenever a new picture of them hanging out found its way on his feed. He was mad that he couldn't even tell people to shut up, what would he even say? His and Isagi's relationship was to be kept secret for a while, but Karasu was just tired of pretending not to care. He was tired of pretending that him and Isagi were mere friends. He was tired of everyone shipping his boyfriend, his soulmate with some random guys from their teams. Karasu groaned as he heard Otoya speak again through the phone.
"You are being so dramatic! So what if they ship him with the others? You are the guy he loves, don't let it get to you."
"Easy for you to say, Otoya. I am really sick and tired of this. And they always either ship Yoichi with Rin, Sae, or that mediocre Michael." Karasu rolled his eyes as he heard Otoya chuckle again.
"I understand, but what can Isagi do? He already said more than once that he sees them as friends. He can't do much unless you want the relationship to become public."
"Doesn't sound so bad, if you want my honest opinion." Karasu retorted back as Otoya kept quiet for a moment.
"Then talk it out with Isagi. If he is fine with it, go public. Forget what the JFA has to say, they all suck."
"Hmmm.... I will think about that." Karasu spoke up after staying silent for a while. The idea did sound appealing. At least that way the fans will stop shipping him with everyone he interacts with.
'Tho, I am still mad nobody shipped Yoichi with me yet... Are we that distant in the public eye?' Karasu pouted as he looked back at the clock. He should probably go to sleep, since he has to pick up Isagi from the airport tomorrow morning.
The next day came, and as usual, Karasu had to wait for Isagi in a secluded spot as possible. Grip tightening around the bouquet he bought for the blue-eyed boy, Karasu waited impatiently for him to finally show up. As far as he got it, the plane Isagi was on had arrived, now it was just a matter of time till Karasu could see him.
'Yoichi... hurry up.' He groaned as he fixed his mask, soon following up with a yawn. He stayed up for most of the night, preparing plans for him and Isagi of the places they could visit, and his excitement overall kept him awake.
"There you are, Tabito. I missed you." Karasu smiled as he heard Isagi's voice from behind, the shorter boy hugging him tightly moments after.
"Hey there. How was your flight?" Karasu asked as he turned around, hugging Isagi right back. The shorter sighed and relaxed in Karasu's hold.
"It was good. I am a little sleepy tho. The turbulence woke me up prior to us landing." Isagi said back, yawned behind his mask as Karasu chuckled. He was greatful that the mask was hiding away his blush pretty well.
"Then let's get you home first so that you can rest." The taller said back, handing Isagi the flowers before taking his luggage.
"I can carry it!" Isagi protested as he followed after Karasu, trying to take his stuff back, only for the boy to move it out of his reach.
"Nope! Your flight was tiresome, just relax and let me take care of you." Karasu smiled, seeing a little bit of redness on Isagi's face after he said that.
"I am just tired. I can take care of myself."
"I know." The other retorted back, grabbing Isagi's hand into his, giving his hand a few light squeezes.
"You are impossible..." Isagi pouted while trying to keep his cool.
"But, I love you that way."
"Love you, too." Karasu laughed a little.
The day went on as Karasu had it planned. First, Isagi and him would rest for a while, later they had lunch at a local café that he knew Isagi liked, then they visited a few art museums where he showed off his knowledge on some of the paintings.
'Thank God for Google. I would have been lost.' Karasu thought, remembering the awestruck look Isagi had the whole time he spoke.
And as a way to end the night they went to the park to observe the Eiffel Tower, like most couples did that night, as far as Karasu could tell. The whole time all Karasu could think of was a way to bring up the idea of them going public with the relationship. He just couldn't take the hiding anymore!
"Yoi-"
"Tabito, what do you think of us announcing our relationship to our fans?" Isagi asked nervously, not looking back at the other. It took Karasu a few seconds for the words to register in his brain, but when they did, he had the biggest grin plastered on his face.
"Really?! You mean it, Yochan?!"
Isagi blushed at the nickname and nodded his head. Karasu's grin somehow got wider as he gently grabbed Isagi's face, forcing him to look back at him.
"I would love nothing more than to do that, Yoichi." Karasu admitted.
"More than marrying me?" Isagi teased as Karasu pecked his lips.
"Aside from that." The taller rolled his eyes, but the smile never left his face.
"But seriously, I really want the public to finally know about us. I am tired of hiding."
"I am as well. So, should we make a post about it or?" Isagi wondered as he watched Karasu's smile turn into a smirk.
"I have a better idea." He said, pointing at his phone camera.
And shortly after that, Karasu posted a picture on his Twitter of him and Isagi kissing. No written statement could have gotten these news better across.
