Teru was heading back along the path he now knew well. The constant walks alone in the dark early morning were already customary, but on days like that, he can have pleasant company for a few minutes
A few weeks ago he had accidentally met AKane in a convenience store. They talked a little and Teru went on his way, but found her the following week, and so on.
He liked these days, Akane had a similar mood to him, even if she still controlled herself so it was good. When he got close to the convenience store, where Akane would normally be alone, Teru noticed a much taller silhouette where Akane would normally be.
The cap and mask prevented him from identifying it, but from afar he could feel the supernatural aura. Teru was more than ready to call it a night, but if it was known that he ignored such a strong supernatural, he would be under suspicion of colluding with supernaturals and Kou would be in the crosshairs of the family council.

Akane smiled, Teru silently agreed with the statement

The path continued calmly, Teru didn't discover what mei was, but he knew he wasn't human, but also not supernatural. He couldn't clear the doubt that night, but he would definitely question Aoi the next morning.
