“You know.. When you said you were gonna build something for Gregory.. I thought you meant like a toy..” Bonnie blinked a few times, not even able to think of anything else because the smug smile on Sun’s face was enough.
“You built him a fucking tree house.”
Sun danced and clapped, “That, I did. I am the favorite uncle now. Moon can suck my dick.”
As much as Bonnie wanted to laugh until he couldn’t breathe and his legs gave out, he couldn’t take his eyes off the structure in the large tree in his backyard. It was very well put together, it almost looked like a mansion and to Gregory, it would feel like a mansion.
I won’t ever be able to get him out.
I would feel guilty.
Sunny why..
“I picked out some paint, a few bright colors along with a small tin of white and black.” Sun nudged him, “I was gonna paint it myself but I figured he’d want to help. Since it’s his space.”
His space.. That sounded nice.
“I’m sure he’d love that.” Bonnie whispered. He took his gaze off the treehouse and snapped a glance at Sunny, he knew his brother was talented with creativity, something Bonnie had seen first hand with his own eyes before. “Moon has definitely lost uncle status.”
“Yes he has.”

B: Are you busy?
F: Not really. I’m just watching that movie Raven suggested.
B: Which one? She recommended a lot.
F: Maze runner. It’s actually pretty good so far.
F: Do you need something?
B: Not really need . Just wanted to know if you feel like coming over.
F: I’ll never say no to that.
B: Great! Because Sunny did something in my backyard and I need someone else to stare at it with me and make sure I’m not going crazy.
F: … Should I be scared?
B: No. But you’ll be greatly confused and impressed at the same time.
F: ..Well now I’m interested. Coming.
B: Okay, drive safe. Xx
Bonnie ran a hand through his hair. Despite standing in the kitchen, he could still see the wooden structure. It took up half the fucking tree. He still didn’t know how Sunny managed to do this within the five hours he was at work.
Bonnie didn’t even see the supplies. That sneaky little shit.
His phone buzzed. Pulling it out his pocket and unlocking it, the banner message was from Freddy.
F: Here
B: Door’s unlocked.
He paused in his cleaning when he heard the front door open and shut. Bonnie didn’t move from his spot and grabbed the freshly cleaned plates and put them in the cabinets where they belonged.
Arms wrapped around him and his body jolted, “Holy fuck!- Stop sneaking up on me!”
Freddy stepped back and laughed, “You knew I was coming and you still got scared?!”
“Most people announce themselves when coming through doors!” Bonnie flicked his boyfriend’s jaw. “Silent bitch.”
“I texted you I was here and you told me the door was open..” Freddy took out his phone and opened his messages to prove his point. “I will not be jailed for this, I’m innocent!”
The two stared at each other before laughing. Bonnie turned the faucet off and dried his hands, moving to hug Freddy. Feeling a kiss on his forehead made him feel giddy inside despite kisses being a daily occurrence.
Freddy ran his hands through Bonnie’s hair, “So what did Sun do?”
Oh yeah..
“Outside.” Bonnie answers.
Freddy’s brow raised and he let go of Bonnie and made his way to the side door.
It was silent for a good ten minutes.
“Holy shit..”
“Yep!”
“He didn’t..”
“He did!”
Freddy yanked the side door open and stepped outside. “Babe..”
Bonnie joined beside him, staring at the treehouse too. “I needed another pair of eyes.. You’re seeing the same thing right?” He asked.
Freddy's jaw dropped, “Uh.. Is the thing a mansion-sized house in a tree?”
“Okay so I’m not insane. That’s great to know.” Bonnie laughed and leaned against the wall, “Okay because I was pretty sure I was dreaming or at least hallucinating!” He exclaimed.

“TREEHOUSE!”
Gregory practically tumbled out of his dad’s hands onto the grass and quickly got up to stand in front of the tree. “No way!” He looked back at his dad, Sunny and Freddy. “No way!” He shouted again, already climbing the ladder.
“IT'S HUGE!” The boy stuck his head out the square window. “This is so cool!”
Sunny was smug, filming and posting pictures in his social media. Bonnie and Freddy still couldn’t believe this was happening. Bragging to his friends and to Moon. “Best uncle in the world award goes to who? ME.”
“Sunshine.. You are insane.” Freddy muttered.
“I know!” Sun giggled and ran to the tree house, climbing up the ladder. Gregory was still screaming, very loud compliments to Sun and shouting all the details.
“I’m officially the coolest kid in the school now!”
Bonnie crouched and ran his hands down his face, “oh I’m screwed..” he whines, the hand in his hair didn’t make the situation better. “This is my downfall as a parent. The moment he cries when I take him out is the moment my soul will leave my body.”
Freddy laughed, “You’re so dramatic. Unless you’re worried about the physical nature of your bones-“
“Did you call me old indirectly..?” Bonnie slowly looked up.
Freddy realized the sentence he spoke and backed away. “Of course not.. You’re barely in the old category anyway.” Each word he spoke was digging him into a deeper hole. “Babe, I’m just kidding- Wait wait!” Freddy ran. An angry man with a deadly smile follows close behind.

“Can I sleep in here?” Gregory asks as he lounges in the red beanbag. His face was covered in paint, so were his clothes that Bonnie wasn’t even gonna attempt to wash.
The wood was painted on the inside only. Gregory liked the plain color of the oak wood on the outside, the boy would probably be a house designer when he gets older. His taste in colors was very good.
“Here? Tonight?” Bonnie asks, glancing over. His own face had splotches of red and yellow. “Alone?-“
“No! With you. And Freddy!” Gregory added.
Freddy looked up and stared at Bonnie who didn’t come up with an answer yet. This was a call for Bonnie, he was the father after all.
“I don’t see why not. But you’ll have to take a bath first-“
“He can take one tomorrow, it’s way too late anyway.” Freddy interrupted quietly. “I used all my energy going up and down the ladder, you did too. Let’s just rest.”
Bonnie wanted to say ‘no’ but he was also tired, too exhausted to even keep himself from nodding off. It’s been a while since he’s been able to sleep this week. “Okay.. Fine. But you actually have to sleep, no matter how exciting it is to be in a treehouse.”
“I will! I will!” Gregory nods and gets up from the beanbag, laying on the pallet on the floor. The ceiling had small holes, enough for the light of the moon to shine down on them.

“I’ve never been in a treehouse before so this is a first.” Bonnie muttered, being careful not to wake Gregory, who curled against his side.
“Really?” Freddy hummed.
“Never had a chance to build one or have someone build it for me. I always wanted to have one to be honest.” Bonnie explains. He sighs and closes his eyes when Freddy’s hand massages his scalp.
“How was your first experience?”
“This feels nice..”
