V1 x reader (looking for name suggestions)

Summary:

As a husk in the first layer of hell, you live day by day, surviving the machines and demons that come through. But there is one machine you look up to, and they are the reason you are surviving this long to eventually see them.

Chapter Text

It’s a hot day in hell. Temperatures are usually at a minimum of 80 degrees, even in limbo. But, you were one of the lucky ones, your husk form is mostly human, as you lived your life very much in the middle of the road. When you were drafted into the final war, you hid out as a refugee. Not wanting to lose your life to a bunch of machines. But, unfortunately, you still ended up dying and going to hell. It’s not all bad though, you’ve met some pretty interesting people here, at least out of the ones that can still speak.

You have found a nice place to settle for eternity, and help people who have just arrived, although not many do anymore. They tell horrible stories from the surface. The planet drying up, and the sun being blotted out of the sky. It seems that nearly all of humanity is dead because of these machines.

Eventually, they found the entrance to hell, and after that have been piling in. The drones aren’t that bad, but every once in a while, a group of streetcleaners come through and burn everything to the ground. You and the people you live around, rebuild, but after so many times, your houses are patchworks of wood and stone. And then there’s the swordsmachines. Despite them being very rare, you’re lucky to have survived even one encounter with one. Whenever one comes through, it kills nearly everyone, in search of more blood, leaving mangled bodies and limbs covering the streets.

But, there’s one line of machines who is more powerful, and more feared than any others. The V models were humanity's greatest achievement in the advancement of war machines, even next to Earthmovers. Their great speed and efficiency in how they killed was unparalleled. Most believe they haven’t come to hell yet, but some say they caught glimpses of a winged figure dashing past their window, with gunshots outside.

Most fear the V models, but you, strangely, admire them. How they don’t get their strength from raw power, but their cleverness, and maneuverability. And if, somehow, you happen to see one, you believe that after that you will be able to die happy. That’s the reason you’ve been staying alive for so long. Many others have ended their lives, either by running out in front of a machine, or jumping from the high pillars, and splatting on the ground as their weak husk bones collapse. But you have a mission.
