The 17 or 18 years old newcomer side-laner of GH, Spear, also known as the protagonist, has a strange glint in his eyes when he looks at Coach Lin...
Jing Yuanzhou notices this the first time they meet after Lin Yan brings him back to the team base after fetching him from the airport. He hesitates for a bit when reaching out to shake his hand but the young boy flashes a smile full of admiration and respect when looking at Jing Yuanzhou. Jing Yuanzhou thinks he may have seen wrongly and throws the slight discomfort to the back of his mind.
This dismissal only continues until Spear shows that he is totally enamoured of Coach Lin in the coming time spent together. He never lets the coach out of his sight and sticks to him like a puppy. Excluding the times where Jing Yuanzhou was around and physically close enough to assist Lin Yan, every time Lin Yan needed something, such as asking for water, Spear would be the first to deliver it to him.
After witnessing this from the other side of the room, Jing Yuanzhou raised an eyebrow but didn't say much. However, if one paid close attention, they would've seen the displeasure hidden in the depths of his dark eyes.

Lin Yan was walking at the rear of the team. He had just opened his door and was about to go in when a force suddenly overwhelmed him.The visitor quietly closed the door of the room behind him.
Jing Yuanzhou stared at Lin Yan for a bit before saying slowly, "Haven't you realised something weird about our newcomer?"
"Hmm? Spear? What's weird about him?" Lin Yan said playfully, pretending not to know what his boyfriend was talking about.
Jing Yuanzhou, "..."
Jing Yuanzhou walked towards Lin Yan. With every step he took, Lin Yan took a step back. This continued until Lin Yan hit the edge of the bed which caused him to fall and sit down, before he chuckled helplessly.
Jing Yuanzhou reached out and grabbed Lin Yan's chin lightly, tilting it upwards so that he was facing Jing Yuanzhou's face.
The corners of Jing Yuanzhou's mouth lowered slightly. "Are you sure you don't know what I'm talking about?"
Lin Yan looked at this expression and knew that he couldn't joke around any longer. "I know. Spear likes to stick to me a lot. Is our God Jing jealous?"
Jing Yuanzhou stared silently at Lin Yan, his expression unchanging.
Lin Yan continued, "Don't worry. Of course I won't let this continue; I can't possibly let our God Jing be upset! I've already planned to meet him tomorrow after the practice match with BK to talk to him."
However, rather than being reassured, the corners of Jing Yuanzhou's mouth lowered even further. "Alone?"
Lin Yan paused a bit. "What?"
Jing Yuanzhou stared deeply at Lin Yan, the ripples in his eyes stagnant. "You're going alone?"
Lin Yan now realised what the problem was. He wanted to laugh but he also knew that Jing Yuanzhou's worries were not unfounded. For a young and fresh teenager like Spear, it was not unlikely for him to be fueled by his feelings and the fact that the two of them would be alone, and do impulsive things that he would regret later on.
However, who was Lin Yan? He was the big boss of GH, the powerful coach of GH and most importantly, the boyfriend of the world-renowned God Jing. Would he let himself be bullied by a kid he's taking care of?
Seeing Lin Yan lost in thought and not replying, Jing Yuanzhou suddenly bent down and his lips brushed against Lin Yan's neck, pulling him away from his thoughts. The electrifying sensation sent a tingle down his spine and Lin Yan instinctively jerked away and tried to push Jing Yuanzhou away. However, Jing Yuanzhou was prepared for this and gently pushed Lin Yan down on his shoulders so he would sit back down. Before Lin Yan could utter a word, he felt Jing Yuanzhou's lips sucking on his neck. Lin Yan's mouth opened slightly in shock. The sound that was made from the sucking was loud and obscene, and Lin Yan could feel his ears go hot.
After what felt like an eternity, Jing Yuanzhou finally moved away slightly from Lin Yan, eyes glued to the newly made red mark on his neck.
Looking at the satisfaction beaming from his boyfriend's eyes, Lin Yan was speechless for a bit before burning red even more brightly.
Jing Yuanzhou took a step back to admire his masterpiece - Lin Yan with red cheeks, red ears, and a red neck. His boyfriend was sitting there obediently, and it scratched at Jing Yuanzhou's heart. He swallowed, trying to control his urges. This was enough for now, he told himself.
Under Jing Yuanzhou's stare, Lin Yan felt restless and wanted to do more. When he saw the movement of Jing Yuanzhou's throat, he knew they were thinking the same thing. Immediately, Lin Yan tugged Jing Yuanzhou by the arm and pulled him onto the bed, aggressively smashing their lips together and they rolled around in bed for the rest of the night.

The next day, Coach Lin came to the training room with a bandaid on his neck. The rest of GH slowly turned their heads and looked at the man who was sitting at a corner of the same room, clicking his pen with one hand and holding a notebook in the other. On his neck, there was a conspicuous bandaid that looked similar to the one Coach Lin had on his.
The rest of GH, "..."
They sucked in a breath before collectively deciding to keep quiet and pretend they hadn't seen a thing. Only Spear
seemed to grumble a bit under his breath, but quickly returned to his training.
Seeing this, Jing Yuanzhou flashed a smile of victory at Lin Yan. Lin Yan pretended he didn't see him and turned away, but his ears were unmistakably red.
Later that day, the training room's lights were on, but only two people were in the room. The look on Spear's face was as dark as his black studs and he lowered his head dejectedly as he was thoroughly rejected by Lin Yan.
The man leaning on the wall outside the room silently walked away, a small smile on his face.
Your adored Coach Lin is already in and will forever be in a very much loving relationship; you don't stand a chance.
