Chapter Text
Flushed cheeks concealed under a kakushi mask complemented bright eyes that stared at a certain black-haired and blue-eyed boy, specifically that man was Tomioka Giyuu, the current pillar of water. If we tell the truth, she didn't have much reason to be in love, it wasn't that he treated her especially well or especially badly, he was just indifferent, and of course, he couldn't be blamed either, she would have exchanged words with him once or twice, not because she didn't want to (and she didn't want to because she was sure he was going to have a cardiac arrest if they had a conversation of more than 10 minutes with him) but because his position in the organization did not allow him to do so, the kakushi were strictly forbidden to reveal any personal data or even remove their "masks" from their faces.
She certainly doesn't expect less or more of his attitude, he was stoic, he didn't know her and it was obvious that he wouldn't treat her differently, that means he didn't treat her like she was a nuisance either, she can't say that her face is unmemorable to him, that he just doesn't remember her and that maybe that's why he doesn't smile or act friendly with her, Because in the first place he never saw her face, if he saw her would he think she's pretty? Maybe not, maybe she wouldn't even think she's ugly, maybe she'd just be another face in Tomioka Giyuu's life.
Coming out of her pitiful and in the eyes of anyone but her, pathetic reverie upon receiving a slight blow on her shoulder from a teammate reminding her of her work that she had put on pause, she nodded and began to take the pulses of several wounded before attending to those in the worst condition who needed urgent help, Based on what he heard from other Kakushis whose voice he didn't recognize due to the constant rotations in the teams, it had been a lower moon, the fourth specifically, however I only hear that it was some kind of amorphous worm, the details in appearances didn't matter much if the demon was dead, there were approximately four injured hunters, But the hashira that was sent didn't even have a scratch on it, which to her, a person who get bruised and scraped from bumping into everything was amazing and of course, worthy of admiration, the hashiras were certainly amazing! Or at least that's what she thinks, assuming that everyone has the same strength as the one who was present, she didn't like to say that she was in love with him, I mean, she doesn't know him at all, she has only heard about the pillar of water and crossed words at most 2 or 3 times with the man, but she had to admit that she liked the way the monotonous voice of the pillar sounded, the calmness of his gaze, and of course I admired how strong he was! She looked nice and respectful, though unfortunately not very cheerful, which dropped a point on her mini list of things she loves.
I had had small interactions with him, nothing beyond a "Are you hurt?" or "Do you need medical assistance?" Or can I help you with something? Even knowing that the answer would be no, it seemed like a trick of fate to make her run into him every time he came to help a group of slayers and she was going to attend to them, everything is always fate's fault! She thought angrily as she charged a slayer and along with the rest of her group carrying others and heading to the butterfly farm, it was a miracle that she didn't bump into a tree while wandering through her mind, it wasn't ideal to hurt an already injured slayer more or receive some scolding from the leader of her group, thanks to God, they would only arrive in a few hours, I didn't want to walk two days to the farm.
The sun shone high as noon approached, presumably not her favorite time, she preferred sunsets, if she didn't have to bring slayers from far away, that was usually the least busy time of his day as he just had to wait until late at night to get back to work. I can't contain a smile under my mask, they had already arrived! And quite early, maybe she would have some extra free time to sleep more, within minutes they had already left the wounded hunters in the indicated rooms, she hoped not to be called until the early hours of the next day, maybe she could spend part of the day helping in garments... Hell.
She squeezed the section of his chest until it stopped stabbing, leaving only a familiar tension in place, until she suddenly felt a squeeze on her shoulder.
-are you okay, Young one?!
