“Tell me something I don’t know about you?”
Sharp’s hand in your hair stills momentarily. You’re in his chambers, laying in bed with your head resting in the crook of his shoulder - a leg and arm draped over his body. These quiet, candle-lit nights in the castle are the moments you long for.
He ponders the question for a long while, as he thankfully resumes his ministrations.
“I don’t like gherkins.”
You can’t help the hysterical giggle that bubbles up your throat.
“Gherkins? Aesop, are you a child?” He jabs you in your side in jest as you curl up in laughter against him.
“Stop teasing me you monster, I’m trying to share something of myself with you.”
“Aesop you are a ridiculous man sometimes.”
Your giggles subside eventually and you snuggle further into his side. The last thing you feel as you fall asleep is the press of his lips against your temple, turned up in a smile.
