What if the best part of my story has already been told?
And this is it for me?
What if I’ve already had him
And then lost him
And all I’ve been left with are a bunch of good moments
How can I convince my heart not to expect for more
And just live on a few good memories?
They weren’t so bad either
Though very short-lived
As short as a night in the club
Andrew was his name or was it Richard?
He had said, “I feel like I’ve known you for ages.”
And I believed him.
He wasn’t being cheesy or anything
He really meant it.
Then when he gave me the goodbye kiss
He asked, “Will you remember me?”
“It is not fair.” I had said
It was not fair.
No it wasn’t.
