Your Biggest Fan

Summary:

Basically Avallum idol AU but Luci is mad in love with Cass. Something, something, they might fall in love I guess.

Not reflective of the actual creators behind Avallum~ (besides Cass being Luci's oshi)

Notes:

THIS IS MY FIRST FIC WRITTEN IN AO3 (please be nice to me)

I freaking love Avallum and what they've been doing so far. I've had a few ideas of fics I could make of them within the past few weeks like a crack treated serious fic of that one tweet Gale posted with the discord messages being like "Cass should love me not chat" and everyone replying "lmao." I just think it's funny. Also I'm making this on a whim and have barely used ao3 for writing and I'm like shivering my timbers because I know Zander has looked at a fic once. Good golly I'm just like nervous n yeah hehehehhe

also ignore if I'm writing like I'm writing a school paper it's out of habit lmao

Please enjoy the fic!

Chapter 1: Fatigued

Chapter Text

Lucien stumbled backstage after a show. Even though he wasn't new to the idol scene, he still felt this creeping fatigue after shows. That didn’t make sense to him since he was perfectly fine with the training his agency put him through at the beginning. He sighed and fanned himself, the amount of sweat all over his body made him regret this career path ever so slightly. However, what made the doubt get swept away by the wind was the look on his friends' faces after the final song they performed. Especially Cassian's.

Even before Avallum debuted, Lucien fell hard for Cassian. He was infatuated with every aspect of him, his smooth voice, his perfect looks, and his easy-going personality. Just being around Cassian made Lucien feel like a school girl around her crush. Especially after a show, when Cassian's makeup smeared and looked disheveled overall, it made Lucien feel far more nervous than performing on stage.

Lucien took his water bottle and crashed onto a chair. He drank the water and relaxed. He looked around the room, the other boys were doing their own thing. Rosco and Zander were looking at Gale who was stretching out all of them exchanging ideas. Lucien’s eyes wandered away and landed upon Cassian who was talking with the idol group’s manager. Lucien looked Cassian up and down admiring his looks. When he got to his face, Lucien found out that Cassian was looking at him as well. They locked eyes, Lucien so desperately wanted to look away but he just couldn't take his eyes off him. Cassian waved to him and Lucien waved back, he sat up in his seat and chuckled. Cassian then turned back to their manager. Lucien sighed and built up the strength to walk up to where the others were seated.

"I really don't get why we have to do meet and greets like... Right after a show. Like do people just think we're all so pumped to do any of that right after we we're just working our asses off on stage and now they expect us to act all lively at the after shows like gah- Oh hi Luci," Rosco was ranting just as Lucien had walked up to them. Rosco looked around. It was unclear who or what he was looking for until he glanced at Cassian and sat back in his chair once again. "Oh. found him," Rosco said upon finding him.

Lucien snickered, "How was the show for you guys?"

Zander was the first to respond, "I found it fun. I always love performing with everyone."

"Yeah but I'm just weirdly tired. At least we don't have to do anything after this." Rosco rolled his eyes, still rather salty about the times management has had them do an event after previous shows.

Gale held one hand at his hip. He had a smile on his face. "It was super party! I agree with Zander, I can never get tired of being on stage when I'm with y'all."

The normal conversation continued, reflecting upon the show, what they think they could've done better. The energy had slowed down eventually. Cassian had showed up after talking with their manager. He had stood next to Lucien, Lucien immediately felt his brain shut off. Over the time that they had known each other, it was simply assumed that Lucien could get used to the feeling he'd get around Cassian, but he didn't. He felt himself warm up, just as he had shook off all the nerves from the stage.

"You scared me, Cass." Lucien said, his face was shaped into a startled expression.

"Your face is red, Mr. Lunaris." Zander chuckled. "Or maybe I should address you properly, Cass's biggest fan."

Lucien shrugged, "What can I say? I just really like the guy."

"Yo, can we kick this guy out? Too fanboy-ish for my tastes," Rosco pointed his thumb at Lucien. The group laughed.

Lucien's face softened, he quieted as his friends talked amongst themselves. He took quick glances at Cassian. With every interaction the two had, it made Lucien grow evermore in love with Cassian. Zander was right, no matter what, he will always hold the title as Cassian's biggest fan. That was acknowledged by everyone in the group. He held that crown high, however it also made him worry. Was that all he will ever be? He didn't really think that way, but it loomed. However, most importantly...

Will Cassian ever love him just as much as Lucien loved him?
