Summary:

Poppy PlayTime Chapter 3 but DogDay joins CatNap.

Chapter Text

"CatNap?" DogDay slowly opened his eyes as the bright light subsided to a much more calming tone. The purple cat stood in front of him inside a white room.

"Hello, DogDay." CatNap greeted as he grinned. "How was your nap?" DogDay gets up from the white floor and looks around. All he can see is a white canvas all around them.

"It was... okay, I guess—Where are we?" DogDay asked as he showed concern and worry. The cat wasn't worried, though, displaying a calm face, his grin shrinking to a small smile.

"Just a room." CatNap replied as his tail moved around. "It's empty—as you can see."

"Er, right, but, uh, why are you and I here? Where are the others?" DogDay nervously held his own hands.

"They are... outside at the moment. Didn't wanna come with." CatNap said as he approached the yellow dog. DogDay seemed rather bothered as to why the other Smiling Critters didn't come along. "But it won't matter. You're all I need anyways."

"Oh, uh, thanks, buddy. Why are we in here?" DogDay replied rather confusedly.

"I have an offer." CatNap said as his tail flicked.

"Hm? What is it, buddy?" DogDay asked, wagging his tail with curiousity.

"There will be a joyful celebration that will occur tomorrow, hosted by a friend of mine. I have been invited and I thought that maybe I can invite you, too."

"You made a friend!? That's great, CatNap! I'm so proud of you!" Praised DogDay, happy to hear that his best friend made a new friend, which seemed to be the only thing that got DogDay's attention. "What's he—or she—like?"

"They're great. They saved me, and I owe them my life." CatNap answered.

"Well, they sound nice. Can I meet them?" DogDay asked, wagging his tail quickly.

"You can—only if you come with the celebration, of course." CatNap responded, his voice sounding a bit mean. "I'd be rather sad if you didn't come."

"Well, okay then, I'll come along. Hey, should I bring the other critters?" DogDay asked.

"I'm afraid not, dear DogDay. They don't seem to like my friend so very much—they kinda avoid me because of it." CatNap answered.

"Oh." DogDay commented. "That, uhm... That explains why you always seem alone..."

"Yes..." CatNap said as he crossed his arms.

"Have you told them about this celebration? Maybe they'll change their minds and come join!" DogDay suggested. CatNap seemed amused wit the dog's optimism, making a small smile, but he soon frowned after.

"I've told them about that—they seemed disgusted about it." CatNap said. DogDay mouthed out a silent 'oh' and started thinking deeply for a solution to that. "You're the only one I haven't asked yet, and I'm glad you agreed."

"Anything for my best bud!" DogDay said happily, wagging his tail excitedly. But his tail stopped wagging as a thought came up. "Hey, uh, can we get out of here? The white background is... kinda hurting my eyes..."

"Sure."
