Raffi notices that Seven really likes breakfast food.

Written for a tumblr prompt meme: I wish you’d write a fic where Seven enjoys breakfast at non breakfast times

Notes:

Let’s pretend it hasn’t been forever since I last posted.

No warnings just fluff

Work Text:

Raffi walked through the trailer doors, kicking off her shoes and sighing. She started to look for Seven, finding her in the kitchen having dinner.

As she got closer, Raffi realized Seven was actually having breakfast, noting the relatively large helping of scrambled eggs on her plate and the empty glass next to it. “Hey honey,” Raffi said, wrapping her arms around Seven’s waist from behind and kissing her temple.

Seven replied, “Hey you,” a soft smile forming on her face. Raffi sat down next to her. “Breakfast for dinner?” Raffi asked, and Seven nodded. She enjoyed the repetitive motion of cooking, finding it very soothing. It didn’t hurt that she also really likes breakfast foods. “I made some extra if you’d like,” Seven offered.

Raffi thought for a moment; she didn’t want to take any of Seven’s food but she shook off the thought. Seven had offered and it wasn’t as though there was any shortage of eggs. So she made herself a plate.

Seven loved breakfast foods and lately she’d been on an egg kick. Raffi had come home every night the past week to Seven either eating eggs or in the middle of cooking them. Raffi didn’t mind it — if it made Seven happy and wasn’t hurting anyone, she really couldn’t give a shit — but after the third day, she started to get concerned about it.

“Hey Seven…” Raffi started one night. “I noticed you’ve been eating mostly eggs the past few days. Which is fine,” Raffi offered quickly, “but I worry about you getting all the nutrients you need.” Seven nodded slowly; truthfully, that thought hadn’t even crossed her mind.

“Perhaps I should have a nutritional supplement as well?” Seven offered. Raffi nodded, “That would be great.” Seven replicated one, sitting back down to drink it. Raffi felt her shoulders drop, the tension she didn’t realize they were holding fading away.

When they’d both finished eating, Raffi took their plates and started to hand wash them; it wasn’t necessary, but Raffi found it grounding. Seven paced behind Raffi as she finished up the dishes, a soft clicking accompanying her steps.

Raffi finished the dishes and walked up to Seven. “What’s up?” She said, and Seven looked almost sheepish. “The other night… when you said it was fine… are you sure?” Seven said, looking at Raffi’s curls and following them with her eyes from top to bottom.

Raffi tilted her head, reaching out her hand and waiting for Seven to bridge the gap. When she did, Raffi squeezed her hands gently.

“I’m absolutely sure. My only concern was your health and nutrition. If eggs are the only thing that sound good right now, then you should have them. No question. Hell, I wouldn’t care if you never ate another food again,” Raffi chuckled playfully, and Seven looked up at her as she continued, her gaze darting between each of Raffi’s eyes.

“The last thing I want is for you to feel like you need to do anything differently or like you have to be embarrassed while I’m around. All that matters to me is that you’re happy and healthy. I don’t care about anything else. And I’ll remind you of that as many times as you need me to. Okay?” Seven nodded, a shy smile on her face. Raffi kissed her forehead. “Can we lay down?” Seven said softly. Raffi smiled. “Always.”
