“Holy crap!” The jock screamed, sprinting away from the scene as fast as he could.
Run.
That’s all Kurt could do, run.
“Kurt.. Kurt!” He heard the voice behind him yell. Was this how the poor kids that he tortured felt? Because holy shit, he was starting to feel bad.
“You killed my best friend!” Kurt wailed, running as he held back tears. Ram was dead. His best friend, and teammate, Ram fucking Sweeney, was dead.
It was all so much to process. He watched Ram die. He watched Ram get shot by Veronica’s psycho of a boyfriend. What was he going to do? Should he run? Should he do what he says?
Kurt hated to admit it, but fear was rushing through his body.
“Why are you chasing me?!”
Kurt was going to die. He actually thought he was going to die.
It’s moments like these where you appreciate the things in your life. Football. The team was like his family. Would they care? Would they miss Kurt and Ram?
His dad. The two hadn’t been on the best of terms. Most of the boys behavior was influenced by Paul. If anything, his dad pissed him off. Probably because he was just like Kurt.
“I..I was just kidding about the Bo Diddley thing!”
But, the thing that would hurt the most, is realizing how much of a horrible person he was. He raped girls, made fun of gay people, was a dickhead to anyone who didn’t act “normal,” when in reality, they were all the same.
They were all just kids.
So why did he do it? That’s something he wish he knew. But he didn’t know. He didn’t know anything.
As he rushed to find an escape, there was one thing that caught his eye, the fence.
Kurt attempted climbing over, but all of the adrenaline made him struggle. When he was about halfway up, he heard yelling telling him to get down. He couldn’t help it, so he just blurted something out.
“I don’t understand!”
He felt his eyes get teary as he gripped on for dear life. The boy behind him was saying random shit about him and Veronica.
Veronica.. where was she? What was she doing? Surely she’d stop him, right?
But that wasn’t the case.
“Stop being a dick!”
Kurt choked out, the tears finally escaping his eyes. They rushed down his face. He couldn’t help it.
Kurt never liked crying. It showed weakness. The only other time he had cried was when his mom died. That was it. Other than that, tears meant he was a sissy. And no one likes a sissy.
“The dinosaurs will turn to dust,”
And that was the last thing Kurt ever heard.
“What does that mean?!”
He screamed, but he just heard Jason Dean’s endless rambling.
Bang.
He still held onto the fence, but not before he heard something fall to the ground.
Kurt climbed down, seeing Veronica and JD talking. He stared at the ground below him, seeing his body.
It was weird. He still felt alive. Was he a ghost? He didn’t know what to think right now. However, there was one thing he did know.
His best friend Ram Sweeney was staring straight at him, crying. Just like a sissy.
