It was a clear morning, and the sun shone through the windows of their room. Dohee woke up to the bright light falling on her face. She found the bed empty next to her and suddenly started searching for Guwon all over the house. For a moment, she thought that Guwon’s return and decorating the Christmas tree had all been a dream. She tried calling him, but there was no response, and the call disconnected. Then suddenly, she heard the door unlock, and Guwon entered the house with some food in his hand. Seeing Dohee standing in the living room, sweating and pale, he became terrified. He asked, “Dohee, are you okay? Did something happen?” He was visibly shaken by her state. She hugged him tightly and broke down in tears. Guwon silently patted her and consoled her. After some time, they were sitting on the couch, and he asked calmly, “What happened, Dohee?” She then replied, “I woke up in the morning and couldn't find you in the house. I thought you hadn't returned. Everything that happened after that felt like a dream, so I panicked,” she said softly. Upon hearing this, Guwon replied, “I thought I could surprise you with some of your favorite food from the restaurant. I didn't mean to worry you.” She pleaded, “Please don’t leave me alone in the morning, don’t go anywhere before I wake up.” He promised that he wouldn't leave her in the morning.
After consoling her and making her eat, they both went to the office. Guwon had lots of files pending to sign at the Sunwol Foundation, so he left Dohee in the office and informed her that he would come and pick her up after her work. But Dohee was not in the mood to work. She always loved to work and never took a day off, but right now, she felt it hard to stay at her workplace. All she wanted was to be with Guwon. At that moment, Secretary Shin entered her office with the plans for the day. Upon seeing Dohee’s sad face, she asked, “Ms. Do, are you okay? Can you attend the meeting today, or should I reschedule it?” Dohee replied, “I can attend the meeting, no worries. I'm just a little tired.” Secretary Shin was suspicious of Dohee but still accepted her meeting schedule and left the office. After a long day, Guwon came to Dohee’s office and waited for her. When Dohee saw him waiting for her, the smile hidden on her face all day grew bigger, and she hugged him tightly. Secretary Shin noticed Dohee’s action, which made her understand Dohee’s worries from the morning. After an hour, Dohee was ready to leave the office. At that moment, Ms. Shin came in and said, “Ms. Do, I want to talk to you for a minute.” With a confused face, Dohee looked at Ms. Shin and glanced at Guwon through the office window, who was chatting with the marketing team members. She then sat on the couch with her. Ms. Shin got straight to the point, “Ms. Do, I think you should take some leave and just go somewhere with Guwon.” Upon hearing this, Dohee replied, “No, Ms. Shin, I am okay. I was just a little worried this morning. I am perfectly alright.” Ms. Shin assured her, “The work in the company will continue, and nothing will affect the company if you take a leave for a week. I have been with you for a very long time, and I know how much you value Guwon. After all that happened, I always wanted you to be happy. At this point, I am talking as your secretary, but also as a concerned family member.” To which Dohee replied, “I will give it some thought,” and she left the office with a smile.
Both Guwon and Dohee reached their house, got refreshed, and rested on the balcony. Dohee, with a calm face, rested her head on Guwon’s shoulder, and he just adored her. Suddenly, Guwon asked, “Why don’t we go on a vacation?”. Guwon continued, “I was just discussing things with Mr. Park about what happened in the morning, and he asked me to take you on a vacation so you would get a change of mind. I was worried after leaving you in the office this morning. I know you’re a really strong woman, but still, I am worried.” Dohee, with a soft smile, said, “This is what Ms. Shin also told me this evening. She saw that I was a bit sad today, and knowing me well, she just asked me to take some leave and go somewhere.” He suddenly laughed and said, “Our secretaries seem to have very similar thoughts.” With the same laugh, she replied, “I think they both planned it together,” and she hugged him tightly. “That was a good idea too. Why can’t we just go to another country and spend some time there?” Dohee gave him a questioning look and said, “I have a lot of work to do, and I can’t go anywhere.” Guwon's face fell, “You said you missed me, and now you’re saying you can’t spend time with me,” he turned to the other side with a pouty face. Dohee tried to make him understand, but it didn't work. Dohee said, “I am going to bed. Tomorrow I have to go to the office,” and with a little mischievous smile, she left him on the balcony, knowing that he couldn't stay away from her. In her thoughts, he came running behind her, saying, “Arasso, you’re a very stubborn woman. We don’t have to go anywhere or take any leave. Come, let’s sleep.” He then lifted her like she weighed nothing and rushed to their room.
The next morning, Dohee woke up first to continuous sound notifications on her phone. She saw Guwon was still sleeping peacefully, not wanting to disturb him. She put her phone on silent first and made herself comfortable on the bed before checking her phone. To her surprise, there were flight tickets to Paris and confirmation of hotel rooms. She was confused and surprised at the same time. Suddenly, she heard a voice saying, “Shall we go?” She turned her head and saw Guwon peeking at her phone with a mischievous smile on his face. She questioned, “When did you do this? Why? I said I have work to do”. “You always have work, and nowadays you show less affection towards me,” he sighed. He continued, “So, if I call you, you won’t come, so I made all the arrangements and also informed Ms. Shin and Mr. Park that we are going on a vacation and not to disturb us. They assured me that the work will continue, and nothing will go wrong. Ms. Shin postponed all your meetings for a week.” And he jumped out of bed. Dohee still couldn't believe what he was saying. She saw that he was fully ready for the trip. With a voice filled with surprise, she asked, “When did you do all this?” He replied as usual, “Naneun demonia, everything is a piece of cake for me. When you were sleeping, I booked the flight tickets, hotel rooms, and with a snap, our bags were packed.” Dohee, with mixed emotions, said, “You’re unbelievable,” her voice was both sarcastic and lovingly surprised. She continued, “Arasso, so you won’t leave me. Let’s go. But before that, I want to talk to Ms. Shin about some company details. After that, I will get ready.” She said and made a call to her secretary. Guwon, happy like a kid going to a theme park, ran out of the room, shouting, “Don’t be late! We have only two hours left, and I will prepare breakfast for you.” Seeing that, she laughed to herself and continued to call Ms. Shin. After an hour, they reached the airport on time, thanks to Guwon’s powers, because Dohee made them late. After boarding the flight, Dohee suddenly asked, “Why didn't you use your powers? That would have taken us only seconds to reach Paris.” He replied with an innocent face, “I love doing insignificant things with you.” On hearing this, Dohee kissed him on the cheek suddenly and said, “Saranghae, nampyeon.” He replied, “Nado saranghae, Dohee,” he was very happy and acted like a puppy the whole time. And Dohee seemed very happy too. And the flight took off……
