Lazy Mornings

Summary:

Little scenarios of a lazy mornings with the suitors.

Chapter 1: Isaac

Chapter Text

Isaac is half asleep when he feels you stirring. He’s facing you, even though he’s not holding you — he loves to look at you. So when he feels you moving to get up, he takes action and throws his arm over you.

You’re facing the ceiling, but you turn your face to him and give him a smile that could make him melt on the spot.

“Morning, honey,” you whisper.

He grunts under his breath, “Mm, not yet.”

In the next moment, he shimmies closer, the side of his face resting against your chest, throwing his leg over your thighs, and pulling you in snugly. You can’t help but chuckle at how adorable and pouty he is some mornings.

You still have some time, and you can indulge him today, so you adjust to get more comfortable.

Your arm slides under his head, settling into the crook of his neck, and your hand finds its place in his soft locks. Your other arm rests across your own body, while your fingertips gently caress his face — his eyebrows, the curve of his nose, his cheeks, and back up to his eyebrows again.

He sighs deeply, burying his face even further into your chest, inhaling deeply to capture every bit of your sweet scent.

And you two stay like that for a while, enjoying each other’s company and warmth before the start of a new day together.

Chapter 2: Mozart

Chapter Text

You wake up before him, as usual. His arms are locked around you, but it isn’t uncomfortable. It’s welcome, safe, and loving.

You smile tenderly and let your eyes wander over his face. One of the best things about waking up before Mozart is being able to admire how peaceful and beautiful his expression is while he sleeps — and to play with his soft hair. You can’t help but feel a sense of warmth as your gaze falls upon his silver hair, disheveled from sleep.

With a gentle shift of your body, you lift your hand to his head, allowing your fingers to softly twirl and comb through his locks. You’re playing with it, letting it fall down like cascades between your fingertips, when you hear a loud sigh. You try to hold your breath and stop your movements, but it’s too late.

“Meine Liebe,” he calls you with a sleepy, husky voice. He opens one eye to peer at your close face. “What are you doing?”

“... playing with your hair,” you reply, your words coming out slowly, uncertainly. He frowns, and you smile sheepishly. “Did it wake you?”

“I’ve been awake ever since someone decided to stare at me while I slept,” he says in a teasing tone, but you notice his cheeks blushing lightly.

“Sorry,” you pout. “But your hair is so soft, I love playing with it.”

“You should be,” he chuckles, bringing his face closer. “It’s your turn now.”

Mozart kisses your forehead, and before you can ask, he gently turns you around. You let out a squeak, and he chuckles a little louder.

“Wolf—”

“Shhh,” he brings his hand to your hair, twirling it around his finger and mirroring your earlier actions. “I said it’s your turn.”

You want to ask why he turned your back to him, but his sheepish tone says it all: he is probably embarrassed by what you said. You feel Mozart shifting behind you, entangling his legs with yours and pulling you into an even tighter embrace.

“Alright,” you sigh and close your eyes.

“Good. Now, let me help you go back to sleep,” his voice drops an octave as he murmurs so close to your ear. “It’s too early to get up.”

He kisses the back of your head, and then his fingers resume playing with your hair.

You drift between wakefulness and drowsiness, noticing how his caresses gradually decrease in frequency, indicating that he’s likely falling back asleep too.

With a content smile on your face, you surrender to sleep.

Chapter 3: Arthur

Chapter Text

You wake up with the mattress shifting and the sheets rustling softly. Struggling to open your eyes, you turn to your side to get a better look at your lover.

“Are you just coming to bed?” you yawn.

Arthur stops for a moment to look at your face, and he sighs. He had been awake writing until now, and he tried to go to sleep without disturbing or worrying you.

“Yes, sorry to wake you, luv.” He lies down and pulls you close, kissing your forehead.

You look at the window; even with the curtains closed, you can see the first signs of the sun rising. You click your tongue — not really annoyed, but concerned — and frown.

“Just come here,” you murmur.

He looks puzzled, and you have to move to make him understand what you’re saying. Pulling away from his embrace just enough to reposition yourself, you scoot up in the bed so you can loop your arm around his head. And now you’re the one pulling him closer.

“Ah, what have I done to deserve such royal treatment?” he smiles, kissing your collarbone and hugging you tighter.

“You’ve made me love you, and love me back just as much.”

He blinks twice, and the grin widens on his face. He is so lucky to have you supporting him, loving him unconditionally, even when he doubts himself. You don’t give him much time to think about it; you always encompass him in a tight embrace, and all his problems just… melt away. Like magic.

Like now.

“Now, go to sleep,” you mutter under your breath, gently using your fingertips to coax his eyelids shut.

He lets out a soft chuckle under his breath and obeys. You squeeze him one more time and kiss the top of his head. Your fingertips begin to lightly scratch his scalp in a relaxing way — one that you know he loves and that helps him release all the tension.

Arthur absentmindedly returns the caress, drawing abstract forms on your back. With a content hum, he throws his leg over your body, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck, taking a deep breath of your sweet, calming scent.

And in just a few minutes, your steady breaths are the only thing that can be heard in the room.

Chapter 4: Jean

Notes:

I apologize in advance for any translation errors

Chapter Text

You’re awake for a while, but it’s too early to get up and start your day. So the two of you are quietly cuddling, enjoying the view the skylight in his bedroom ceiling provides, as the sky slowly turns brighter with the rising sun.

At some point, you gently grab his hand and begin tracing letters on his palm with your fingertips, asking if Jean can guess what you’re spelling.

“Alright, what about now?” you whisper, as if speaking louder might disrupt the peaceful moment.

He hums, his eyebrows furrowing. “I think it’s an A.”

“Yes,” you nod, kissing the palm of his hand. “Now, we have J-E-T-A. Do you know where I’m going with this?”

He shifts his gaze from your lips kissing his hand to your eyes. The way he looks at you tells you he is trying to piece the letters together and decipher what they form. Jean’s eyes soften, and he lets out a soft laugh through his nose, indicating that he got it.

“I do,” he smiles tenderly.

You return the smile, kissing his cheek and lightly caressing the scar his eyepatch usually covers. He doesn’t mind anymore when you touch the scar; he simply closes his eyes to enjoy the affectionate gesture.

A yawn escapes you, and you try to stifle it, but Jean notices and opens his eyes again. It’s still so early, even for the two of you.

“Go back to sleep, mon amour,” he murmurs, bringing your hand to his lips and being the one to kiss you this time.

“Will you stay here with me until I have to wake up?” you shimmy your body closer to his.

“Of course.”

“Alright then,” you yawn again, and close your eyes.

“Je t’aime aussi, mon amour,” he whispers, kissing your eyelids.

He stays awake until he knows you’re quietly sleeping again, observing your every steady breath and how you unconsciously snuggle closer to him. Jean can’t help but smile. Only then he closes his eyes and follows you into sleep.

Chapter 5: Theo

Chapter Text

You wake up with the feeling of Theo playing with your hair and something soft touching your forehead. Fluttering your eyes open, you find his face close to yours.

“I didn’t mean to wake you,” he whispers, still playing with your hair and brushing it away from your face.

“It’s okay,” you yawn, stirring and stretching. You notice then that he was half uncovered by the blankets, and his legs were sideways, as if… “Are you getting up already?” You can’t help but frown.

“Yes, I have some things I’d like to do.”

You grumble, frowning deeper and pouting. Grabbing the hand on your head, you bring it to your chest and hold tight.

“No, you don’t. It’s your day off, Theo.”

“I know,” he smiles at your pout, thinking it’s the most adorable thing. “But I want—”

“No,” you state again.

You throw yourself over him with enough force to make him roll onto his back. You settle on top of him and slide your arms under him so you can hold on tight, burying your face in the crook of his neck.

“I must be slacking off on your training, Hondje,” he clicks his tongue, but you know he’s not annoyed by the way his body shakes with him trying to stifle a laugh. “If that’s how you’ll behave with your master.”

“Yeah, yeah, you can do that later,” you dismiss him. “But now I want to enjoy this calm morning with you. You’ve been working too hard the last couple of weeks. You need to rest.”

He huffs with a laugh. “Fine.”

“Promise?” you ask, lifting your pinky.

“I promise,” he smiles softly, lacing his pinky with yours. “But I still should pinch your cheeks for all of this, to make sure you’ll behave next time.”

He really places his hands on your cheek, but he doesn’t actually pinch it. His hand slides back to your hair, smoothing it out of your face so he can take a proper look at you.

“Meanie,” you smile at him and place a kiss on his jawline.

Knowing he won’t try to get up after promising to stay there with you, you adjust your body so that you’re still slightly on top of Theo, but not completely. You bring your hand to the nape of his neck, playing with his hair there while he continues to run his fingers through yours.

It doesn’t take long for you to go back to sleep, and Theo can’t help but smile looking at the peaceful expression you have. He kisses your forehead again and squeezes you closer, pressing his face against your hair.

He closes his eyes with a sigh, trying to go back to sleep, and it isn’t so hard to do with your scent doing wonders to relax him.

Chapter 6: Vincent

Chapter Text

As a shiver runs up your spine, your body trembles. It’s not unpleasant, but it causes you to drift between wakefulness and sleep. Feeling it once more, you flutter your eyes open, attempting to make your sleepy mind grasp what’s happening.

And once more, the pleasant feeling, the gentle touch on your back.

Ah!

Realization dawns upon you, and you stir your body. You’d always recognize the touch of those fingertips; you just needed to be sufficiently awake.

“... Did I wake you?” you hear Vincent’s soft voice behind you, barely audible. Knowing him, he wanted to make sure that you were still asleep, but he didn’t want to risk actually waking you up with the question.

You roll onto your stomach and glance at him sideways, with half of your face resting on the pillow.

“Don’t worry,” you smile, and he returns it. “Were you drawing on my back?”

“I was,” he giggles softly. “I woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep. I didn’t mean to wake you, though. I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay, it felt nice,” you reply affectionately. Your smile widens as an idea crosses your mind. “I can show you.”

“Oh? I think I might like it,” he says, his sky-blue eyes gleaming even in the darkness, and you can’t help but chuckle.

“Then turn your back to me.”

He shifts into the same position as you, lying on his stomach, with the side of his face pressed against the pillow.

“Is it okay if I stay like this? This way I can look at you,” Vincent says, his eyes filled with such intense adoration that you feel like you could melt.

“Of course,” you hum in agreement, trying to fight the blush that threatens to spread across your face. Ah, the feelings he stirs inside you with only a glance…

You bring your hand to his back and lightly brush your fingertips across it. He squirms and giggles, and you pause, your hand hovering in the air above him.

“It tickles, but it feels nice. Please, don’t stop.”

“I won’t,” you murmur with a soft smile.

You bring your body closer and rest your arm on his back, moving only your fingertips to draw random shapes and scenarios. A few minutes are enough to make Vincent’s eyes feel heavy, and he yawns.

“I’m so sorry, I woke you up and now I’m sleepy.”

“Shh, don’t worry,” you yawn too and peck his lips gently. “We can sleep more.”

Vincent smiles and throws his arm over you. It doesn’t seem to be the most comfortable position, but he doesn’t care. He lets his eyes close, and you do the same; your fingertips lulling him back to sleep, while his steady breaths lull you.

Chapter 7: Comte

Notes:

no pronouns specified, but Comte calls you chérie

Chapter Text

He’s been awake for a while now, but he wants to savor this peaceful moment with you. With his chest pressed against your back and his arms wrapped securely around you, he envelops you in his embrace, softly nuzzling his face into your hair from time to time.

Comte both feels and hears it when your breathing changes pace, meaning you’re waking up too. A soft yawn escapes your lips as you stretch, and your hand goes to his arm to loosen it from around your body, but he tightens his hold.

“Hm…?” you hum under your breath, turning your head to glance at your lover with a hint of confusion. “Well, bonjour,” you smile warmly as you realize he is awake.

“Bonjour, chérie,” he chuckles at the confusion on your face.

You turn the rest of your body to face him fully, giving him a peck on the lips. He holds you in place by the neck to give you a proper morning kiss, and you can’t help but giggle, warmth spreading through your heart.

“Have you been awake for long?”

“Not too long,” he replies, kissing your forehead.

“What time is it?” you mumble, propping yourself up on your elbow to glance at the clock. “It’s almost time to get up.”

“It is,” he replies, his arm gently guiding you back down onto the mattress and into his arms.

“I should get up already.”

“If you want to,” he smiles with such affection that his eyes crinkle.

“Yes,” you yawn, covering your mouth with the palm of your hand as you look at him with the same loving gaze he gives you. “This way, I can take my time getting ready before helping Sebas.”

“Of course.” He shifts his arm around you, adjusting his hold on your body.

You chuckle softly. “Comte?”

“Yes, chérie ?” he entwines his legs with yours.

Can I get up?”

He is still smiling at you, trying to disguise his true intentions of not letting you leave his arms so soon today.

“Excellent question,” he hums, pretending to ponder the answer. “Can you?” He peppers kisses on your face.

“Alright, I’ll stay,” you concede with a contented sigh, “But in a few minutes, it’s going to be an obligation, you know.”

“It never is,” he murmurs, trailing his kisses down your neck and nuzzling his face there. “I’m giving you the day off.”

“Comte,” you laugh softly as his lips tickle your skin. “I can’t do that.”

“I can.”

“I have lots of things to do with Sebastian. We’ll have a busy afternoon today.”

“Then it’s settled. You’ll rest at least in the morning.”

He abruptly pulls you closer, causing your body to collide with his, and he tucks your face under his chin as a squeak escapes you. Comte laughs and kisses the top of your head, placing one hand on your head and the other on your back, rubbing relaxing circles with his fingertips while ensuring to keep you as close as possible.

You huff, knowing it’s a lost battle.

You end up taking the whole day off.

Chapter 8: Leonardo

Notes:

I changed his pet name to “amore mio”

Chapter Text

The sunlight sneaks through a gap in the curtain, waking you up in the morning. You scrunch up your nose in a grimace and try to bury your face in the pillow, but it fails to protect you from the offending light. You’ll have to properly close the curtain, then.

Sighing, you try to move softly so you don’t wake Leonardo up. Frowning, you realize you couldn’t move even an inch; you’re still in the same position, lying on your stomach. Smiling, it dawns on you that Leonardo’s body is almost completely draped over yours, his chest pressing against your back, his legs intertwined with yours, and his arms locked around your torso, his fingers laced with yours.

It’s astounding how you hadn’t realized before just how trapped you were.

Gently, you try to free your fingers, but his grip tightens. As you attempt to move your legs, you feel his intertwining with yours, keeping you in place.

“Where do you think you’re going, amore mio ?” His husky voice sounds close to your ear as you feel him nuzzling his face into your hair.

“The sun is hitting my face,” you pout.

Your frustration must have dripped into your voice because Leonardo softly lifts his head from the pillow to look at your face, then at the crack in the curtain. He smiles and flops back down, his grip tightening on you.

“I got you,” he says mischievously.

“What—” You’re interrupted by your own yelp.

He pulls you closer and rolls his body, causing you to pass over him and land safely on the mattress on the other side of him.

“There,” he smiles lazily. “Safe and sound from the sun now.”

“Leonardo!” you try to scold, turning to look at him. But you find it hard not to smile too, soon laughing. “Honestly…”

“No excuses to leave me now,” he says as he brushes your hair to the side and kisses your forehead.

“I still have to get up for work soon.”

“We have time,” he murmurs. “Until then…” He gently kisses your eyelids, coaxing them to close. “Have a good sleep.”

You settle comfortably in his arms, nuzzling your face against his chest, and he embraces you again. You can hear his heart beating steadily, smell the soothing scent of his cigarillos, and feel his fingers ghostly caressing your shoulder and back.

And soon, you’re back to sleep.

Chapter 9: Sebastian

Notes:

you call him by his real name

Chapter Text

You wake up to a light sensation of warmth against your skin — on your forehead, your shoulders, your cheeks, your nose...

With a furrowed brow and a low grumble, you turn around, faintly hearing a chuckle surrounding you. The soft touches now trace along your shoulder blades, your nape, and under your ear… They’re accompanied by a gentle voice calling out to you. You try to open your eyes, but they feel heavy.

Once more, you feel a delicate touch, different from before. It slowly drags up your arm, halting at your shoulder, and you sense a tender squeeze accompanied by a murmur against your ear, coaxing you away from the land of dreams.

Fighting harder, you finally flutter your eyes open. You notice Sebastian’s shadow in your peripheral vision, his head hovering above you as he peers down at your face.

“Good morning,” he whispers, pressing a kiss to your temple.

Oh, so that was the feeling.

You want more.

He chuckles lightly, his fingertips now tracing the contours of your face.

“I would love to give you more, but it’s time to get up,” he murmurs gently.

“Mmm?” You hum, your voice still husky and heavy with sleep. “Did I say that aloud?” You frown.

“You did,” he remarks, amused. “Now, come on.”

He sits up and moves away slightly, just enough for you to miss his warmth.

“Don’t wanna,” you whine, clinging to his arm, attempting to coax him back to lie down.

He sighs, though a soft laugh lingers beneath it. “Must I remind you that we need to work today?”

“Akihiko, please,” you pout, tugging on his arm.

He obliges. After all, how could he not when you call his name so softly? You turn back around to face him, allowing him to properly wrap his arms around you, and sigh happily as you feel him so close.

“Five more minutes,” he says, playfully flicking your forehead.

You gasp in shock, opening your eyes to meet his, finding a loving gaze looking back at you.

“I think I deserve ten minutes after that uncalled flick,” you pout again.

“Alright,” he concedes with a gentle smile.

His hand slides to the back of your head, pulling you closer to him so he can kiss your pout. Sebastian maintains his grip, using it to draw your face gently against his chest, while he rests his chin on your head. Your legs intertwine, and your bodies instantly relax in each other’s arms.

“But ten minutes is our limit, or we’ll be late,” he warns.

You nod enthusiastically and kiss his collarbone right in front of your face.

He feels your breath against his skin steady, and he knows you’re already fast asleep. He isn’t really sleepy, but there’s something about being able to stay a few lazy minutes enjoying your presence in bed.

Your warmth, your love, makes him seriously consider staying in bed the whole morning with you. However, he makes a huge effort to wake you up again after the ten minutes are over.

You wouldn’t know, but he actually gave you a few extra minutes just to admire your sleepy and peaceful face a little longer.

Chapter 10: Shakespeare

Chapter Text

When you wake up, you feel around the mattress to find your lover, but he has already left. With a new play about to premiere, Will had rehearsals starting early and going until late night.

Sighing, you pout to yourself. Was it too selfish to want him to stay with you? To spend a few minutes basking in love, enjoying each other’s warmth?

“Thy lips wear the most enchanting pout, my love,” you hear his voice, and you look toward the door, seeing him enter the room.

“Will!” You smile.

“Did thou miss me that greatly?” He smiles teasingly as he makes his way back to the bed to lie down with you.

“I always do,” you answer.

He settles down beside you, not wasting time in embracing you and bringing you close to him.

“Mm, me too,” he whispers and kisses you softly.

“Wait, what about your rehearsal?” you ask, suddenly remembering the reason he wasn’t with you until seconds ago.

“T’was postponed on account of the rain,” he says, as if it’s an obvious answer. And it is; now that you pay attention, you actually listen to the soft tap of rain outside.

“Then we can enjoy a little more time here?” you half ask, half demand.

“Aye. The sun has yet to rise, we may grant ourselves a moment’s indulgence,” he chuckles. Your whole face brightens up with his reply, and he wishes to keep it engraved in his mind forever. “Come near, my love.”

One of his hands finds your hair, twirling it around his fingers in a lazy play. The other hand slides down your back, pulling you even closer and keeping you in place. You can’t hold back the little giggle that escapes you, your wish from earlier coming true and making you the happiest.

Your hand also goes to his soft hair, and in no time, you’re sleeping again. Will stays up a little longer, lovingly staring at every little detail of your face until he feels his eyelids grow heavy.

Later, when you wake up to start your day, you find yourself locked in a tight embrace, incapable of leaving Will’s warmth. And your lazy morning turns into a lazy day, the soothing sound of rain serving as a background to your relaxation.

Chapter 11: Dazai

Chapter Text

You wake up to the sun rising outside, its first rays creeping into the bedroom. Stretching, you slowly turn to your side and see your boyfriend’s face. You wish you could gaze into his beautiful yellow eyes, which you love so much, but it’s also a peaceful sight to watch him sleeping soundly next to you.

You debate with yourself whether to play with Dazai’s hair and risk waking him up or to stay still and simply bask in this lovely moment. Lost in thoughts about everything you’ve been through and everything you two still can experience together, you don’t notice his eyes twitching ever so slightly.

Dazai wakes up but remains still. He has a feeling you’re staring at him, thinking he’s still asleep. He can hear your dreamy sigh and the soft rustling of sheets as you shift your body, but he senses your eyes fixed on him. He has to fight a smile; oh, how he will tease you about that!

“You’re staring,” he whispers, opening just one eye to see your reaction.

“Shuji!” You jolt back in surprise.

He doesn’t let you go far and create space between the two of you, though. Dazai circles his arms around your middle and pulls you close, pressing your bodies together.

“I couldn’t resist,” he says, his laid-back smile on his face, his eyes shining with mischief.

“Honestly…” you pout, and he chuckles softly.

“I think now it’s my turn to stare at you,” he says, his eyes squinting as his smile widens.

He cradles your face, his fingertips gently caressing your cheek and sliding to the back of your head. Dazai presses your foreheads together, looking deeply into your eyes. You stare back, your thoughts from before flooding your mind again. You want to say something, but you also feel like words would ruin the mood. You both seem to think the same thing at the same time as you lean forward for a kiss.

You and Dazai stay there for a little longer, basking in the tranquil, romantic moment you’ve created. You might be a little late to help Sebastian with breakfast… or a lot late.
