Manicured nails opened the embossed envelope.
”…Golden Hair, Silver Sword!”
Fanning his face, Glorfindel of the House of the Golden Flower walked up to the stage.
”When I first started my channel,” Glorfindel said, speaking into the mic and holding his award, “I was told to choose. You can’t do martial arts and hair care, they said.”
Glorfindel, choked, took a deep breath.
“They told me I had to choose between being strong and being beautiful.”
”But I don’t have to choose,” he continued.
”Nobody does.”
Glorfindel left the stage to rapturous applause.
