"Girl," Mirage says with a helpless little laugh, looking anywhere but Xunami. "It's so fine. We had fun and you were on a job. I get it." She whispers the word 'job' like it's a secret and scrunches up her face a little, then relaxes with a sigh. "You can just let me know your hotel room, we don't need to talk about anything."
"I'm on a job now too," Xunami says, low and intent. Cutting straight to it. "A big one, actually. One night, three casinos..." She shrugs and grins. It's still kind of fun to say aloud. "In and out. At least, if things go to plan, and I've already got a way in to two of them."
"Oh my g- shut up! Don't tell me that, you don't even know what I'll do!" Mirage stares at her in a soft-eyed alarm that is entirely for Xunami, who is actually so fucked, who wants to kiss her so bad. "Why would you- oh. Oh." Mirage drops to whisper as the pieces click together. "No, nonono, wow, that is a steady paying gig, okay, I work there why would I-"
