Lipstick & Cigarettes

Summary:

"can you help me? You get under his skin sometimes I just know you can fix him." He pouted with pleading eyes "I'll pay you for it."

He needed little more to say than extra money. "Fine, I'll help you." she giggled "Call him over and I'll fix your problem."

Notes:

Was generating prompt ideas and found this. Decided I'd write it because they're silly.

Work Text:

Shakky shook her head as she set a glass of whiskey in front of a huffing Roger. "He's as stoic as usual isn't he?" Roger cried in disdain "he's been grumpy all morning." He jutted his thumb in his direction.

"When is he not like that? The Stoic vice-captain of the Roger pirates." She bemused while drying a glass." I thought you said he could never keep a stoic face because of the crew. Or maybe it was something along the lines of You stress him out so much he can only worry."

Roger pounded on the bar counter with his fists lightly "That's what I thought! But I think he got sick of us and is now trying to play all cool. With that stupid know-it-all attitude of his. I swear he looks smug every time I don't have any comebacks to his stupid words! He's starting to stress me out." The ramblings of a drunk pirate. "can you help me? You get under his skin sometimes I just know you can fix him." He pouted with pleading eyes "I'll pay you for it."

He needed little more to say than extra money. "Fine, I'll help you." she giggled "Call him over and I'll fix your problem." Roger instantaneously brightened up and began waving his arms and calling the blonde man over. At the ruckus, his captain was making Rayleigh had no other choice but to see what had piqued his captain's interest.

"Roger you're being noisy. I'm trying to drink in peace."

Roger frowned so hard you'd think his mustache would turn down with it. "There you go again you hardass." Roger looked away from him his arms crossed huffing like a child. He acted more like a child than Buggy and Shanks.

"Rayleigh why don't you sit down." shakky sat a glass of whiskey in front of the stool beside Roger. She caught Roger's eyes and she winked. Rayleigh didn't say anything but sat down anyway. He took the glass pressed it to his lips and downed it in a big gulp relishing the burn in the back of his throat. When he sat it back down she went to refill his cup. She got it halfway full before she accidentally tipped it over.

"Oh, god! I'm so sorry Rayleigh." she grabbed the cup and set it back upright. Grabbing a hand towel she made her way around the bar, but not before giving Roger a wink. All a part of her plan. He grinned knowing what was about to follow.

"Let me get that." she pressed the towel against his pants dabbing at the forming copperish stain on his almost white pants. They were more of a pastel purple she had noted. She took great interest in her work dabbing around his lap trying to clean up as much liquid as possible. "I can get it. You don't have to do that." A hand brushed over mine and my eyes flicked up to his face. She leaned forward a little closing the distance between them. Their faces were inches apart and out of the corner of my eye, she could see Roger staring trying to hold in his laughter with a shanking hand. "I want to do it," she whispered with a small smile. squeezing his thigh for emphasis. "Do w- what." He stumbled over his words. "This." she patted his thigh and rubbed it lightly in a slow teasing manner. "We can't...not here." He whispered. She quirked an eyebrow with a smug smile. "I already did. I'm done." she stood up straight and held up the stained towel.

Rayleigh's face slowly turned red and he leaned forward trying to cover his face. "Red suits you nicely," she whispered in his ear with a little laugh and Roger finally lost it. His laugh filled the air lighting up the quiet bar. A reaction was set off and his crew followed him in making fun of Rayleigh's embarrassment. Their teasing just caused him to blush and hide his face more. His ears were even red now.

Everyone continued to party hard after that almost drinking her out of her whole stock. She laughed lighting a cigarette and nursing it between her lips as she watched everyone trickle out on their way back to their boat, Roger leading the crew. Only one man stayed behind. His glasses glistened in the moonlight illuminating his face and hair. He stood there outside her door staring up at the moon.

"Are you not going to join them?" she blew out smoke from between my parted lips. He tilted his head down to look at her.

"I wanted to do something before I left." she raised an eyebrow in question.

He reached out plucking the cigarette from my lips and put it between his and took in a deep breath. He stared into my eyes holding it for only a moment before breathing the smoke out between his parted lips in that erotic way he had about him.

"You don't smoke." He chuckled flicking the ashes to the ground. "I don't." We were close now bodies plush together. His lips met hers in a deep kiss. One that almost had her knees buckling leaving her breathless. He grinned a smug grin when he pulled away "Now we're even." He took another puff of the cigarette and pressed it back to her lips. "I'll see you later Shakky."

His laugh rang through the air as he walked away leaving her blushing. She pressed her lips down on the cigarette. She would have the last laugh. She eyed the red-stained cigarette in amusement.

Back on the boat, it was utter chaos. "Rayleigh you have lipstick smeared on your mouth!" Roger laughed pointing at Rayleigh and clutching his stomach. Roger made a kissy face at him and Rayleigh groaned "Damn you shakky." He couldn't help the smile that split his face as he wiped the lipstick from his lips.
