Chapter Text
Julia was the cool girl everyone wanted to be.
She was pretty, popular, and had a huge following.
Who wouldn't want to be her?
MK was a "weird", artsy kleptomaniac, who people tended to avoid.
Whenever people saw her walking through the halls, they would hide their valuable objects, making sure Mary "Kleptomaniac" Kate wouldn't steal it.
She was one of those people who weren't in any distinct cliques, who would eat in the bathroom, laying low until graduation.
But if she was being honest, it was getting a little lonely.
So when she sees Julia walking past the auditorium, watching her play the bass, she pretended she didn't see her.
Julia stared at the ravenette through the auditorium doors, hunched behind one of the chairs.
MK, was, quite frankly, amazing at playing the bass.
She'd never noticed before, but she was pretty.
She had distinct features, pale skin, and natural blush.
If she just took care of that long, pretty hair, she'd be idelic.
Wait.
She did not just think that she was pretty.
She shook her head in a weak attempt to rid the thought of her brain.
When MK finished, she looked up, seemingly shocked.
"Who's there?" MK says, pretending that she didn't see her before, standing up from her previous seated position on the stage.
Julia rises slowly, waving ever so slightly.
"Oh. It's you."
Obviously, she knew Julia.
Everyone did.
She was arguably the most well known kid at their school, always the topic of conversation.
She was the modern day Regina George, and her friends Emma and Nichelle were always positioned next to her, wherever she went.
It was kind of annoying, to be honest.
Julia scrunched her face at this response.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
MK shrugged. "Nothing. What are you doing here?"
"Well, I heard you playing, so-"
"Well, obviously", MK said, rolling her eyes. "But why did you feel the need to walk in?"
Julia looked offended. "Well, if you're going to be a bitch about it-"
MK scoffed, interrupting Julia's sentence. "I should've known people were right about you."
Julia looks confused at this, and approaches the stage, taking slow steps.
"What does that mean?"
MK shrugs. "You're a basic white girl who wants to become famous. Am I wrong?"
Julia glares at her. "I'm leaving."
MK smirks at her. "Okay, princess." she says, as Julia turns to walks out of the auditorium, glowering at her.
