The sun blinded Freminet as he walked with his siblings. The loud noises of Liyue’s market. It was a sensory overload to say the least. Lyney was in awe, though; he kept on trying to talk with strangers and ask questions on things that were foreign to him. Lynette was more reserved and stayed close to Freminet. They were walking to where they were going to be staying during the time in Liyue. By the time they headed up the stairs Freminet was mentally exhausted, he could not go sight seeing with his siblings. Lynette and Lyney offered to stay with him but he couldn't ruin their fun. He just smiled and said it was ok for them to leave. They both sighed and left, Lyney couldn’t help but feel guilty for Freminet’s discomfort.
Freminet just laid on the bed, he didn’t feel like moving for a while. He brought Per and placed him on the bed next to him. He watches as Per wobbled around, the repetitive moment of the penguin put him to sleep. He woke up as the golden rays seeped through the hotel window. He laid there, just admiring the sun’s beauty before getting up. He fixed his hair enough so it wasn't directly covering his line of sight. After a full 10 minutes of compilation, he decided to leave the hotel room and find his siblings. He knew they wouldn’t leave too far, right?
Freminet took Per and bravely opened the hotel door and exited. He walked nervously and anxious. He was 2 seconds away from having a panic attack when he saw a loud energetic lion? He rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing this right. It turned out to be someone in a lion costume. He had never seen this in Fontaine. “I bet Lyney would love to see this” he thought. The young man looked around Freminet’s age and he looked fun to be around. This stranger was smiling and easily talking and joking with people as he did this astonishing intricate dance. It was mesmerizing. Of course Freminet all of sudden became aware of his silent staring and felt he should look away before it became weird.
As he recollected his brain to search for his siblings the same lion dancer guy begins to approach Freminet. Freminet’s brain is blanking out and just being completely useless at this point. It was times like these where he wished it was socially acceptable to wear his diver helmet. The stranger finally gets close to talking range and smiles energetically.
“Hey, I’m GaMing. You’re with the two magicians right?”
Freminet’s brain finally starts doing its job and begins understand that this guy knows where his siblings are. Freminet now feeling much more calmer but still nervous says.
“Yeah. Do you know where they are?”
Was all Freminet could muster the courage to say. It was short but it got his thoughts across. He now anxiously watched GaMing, hoping he won’t laugh in his face and leave
“Oh well they told me to direct you to this amazing restaurant I recommend. It’s like really really good. And the dim sum is just super duper good. Wait have you tried dim sum? Sorry. Off track.”
GaMing laughs nervously and points down the street
“You see the building at the end street? Right before that is where you siblings are. I can show you if you want.”
This was working out way too good for him, Freminet thought. Like this cute guy, wait what? This nice guy was just helping him and just being kind and patient.
“Uhm if it won’t be a problem could you, please?”
GaMing smiled and gestured to follow him. Freminet nodded and followed immediately, just eager to find his siblings
“So your siblings are magicians? That’s awesome! Like I’ve never seen tricks preformed like that by humans. Like are sure you’re siblings aren’t adepti or anything? Because I wouldn’t be surprised if they were, that’s the only explanation I can think of”
Freminet nodded as GaMing spoke. This was a normal reaction to his siblings magic. Of course Lyney would never reveal anything and he always laughs it off whenever anyone asks how he does his tricks
“I don’t think they are adepti? What does that mean?”
GaMing looks even more shocked as he feels his mind being blown in the very moment
“You don’t have Adepti in Fontaine?! What about anything equivalent like higher beings with power? Like anything at all? Like Adepti have stories and history to them. Wow. Adepti are like just these higger beings that help guard off demons and evil gods.”
Freminet just shakes his head more and shrugs.
“We don’t have anything like that in Fontaine I think. When it comes to stories I can only think of the hydro dragon.”
GaMing stops and begins to process the information.
“Hydro dragon?! Is it a common thing? Have you seen it? How big is it?”
Freminet didn’t know how to respond to such rapid questions. He was speaking a million words per minute and Freminet couldn’t even catch one. GaMing waited for his answers with anticipation and eagerness to learn about this new mysterious dragon.
“Well it’s more like a folk story. Like when it rains, it mean the hydro dragon is crying. That’s one of the folk stories in Fontaine that could be like your Adepti stories.”
GaMing looked interested in every word he spoke. Still shocked and amazed what he learned just by talking to the stranger. Their destination was almost near but GaMing didn’t want their conversation to end there. He wanted to continue talking with this boy. He wanted to learn more and hear about different types of folk lore from a different nation.
“So you see this building?”
GaMing said sheepishly and pointing to a lavish and eloquent looking building.
“Your siblings went in there…so can I show you Liyue tomorrow? I know it’s pretty big and all and this is if you don’t already have plans but I know cool stops everywhere from my job and- sorry word barf.” He takes a deep breath. “Can I show you around Liyue tomorrow?”
Freminet, shock to his core that someone actually wants to spend time with him and is offering such a big portion of their day just to show him around. He can’t help be feel guilty here but does want to. He wants to meet up.
“Yeah that’s fine I don’t have any plans”
GaMing smiles and begins to walk away.
“See you later Freminet!”
He yells as he goes back to his practicing spot. Freminet smiles as he watches him leave and then gets confused on why he knows his name. Freminet forgot to give it to him and somehow he knows. He shrugs it off as him not remembering part of their conversation correctly. He walks into the calm and peaceful restaurant to find both Lyney and Lynette eating a five course meal. Lynette had her area of the table filled with different types of Liyue deserts and Lyney was currently trying some seafood. Lynette turns around to see Freminet at the front and waves him over smiling.
“How’d you find us? I hope you didn’t get lose I’m sorry”
Lynette says softly as Freminet seats at their table.
“No it’s ok, Someone named GaMing showed me where you guys were. He was really nice too”
Lyney nods and explains
“So as me and Lynette were walking from getting small toys from a stand there was this cool dancer so I had to ask what type of dance he was doing. So he sounded like he knew the city well so I asked him what was the best place to eat and he pointed us here. And this place has the best foods like-“
Lyney began to go on talking about which foods were his favorites but Freminet zoned out. He actually talked to someone and now he’s going to see him again. This was a lot more than what Freminet was expecting. He wonder if they’ll become friends
