Chapter Text

Chapter 1: The Life of Ash Ketchum 

The beauty of the Pokemon world. The forest, the sound of Pokemon singing, the explosions. Wait, what. 

A Weavile skidded back as it struggled to stay up. 

"Cryogonal, use protect" said its trainer. He was Zinzolin, a sage from Team Plasma. Cryogonal went in front of Weavile and protected it from the incoming electric attack. 

"Now use ice beam" he said.

"Cry" called out Cryogonal as it fired off its attack into the sky. It's target, a Charizard, had little issue with avoiding the attack.

"Now use dragon claw" said its trainer, World Champion Ash Ketchum. 

"Zard" said Charizard as it slashed Cryogonal to the ground, knocking it out. 

"Weavile use slash" called out Zinzolin in panic.

"Pikachu, now" said Ash. Weavile jumped up to attack, but was knocked out of the sky by an iron tail from Pikachu. 

"Charizard, finish it with flamethrower" said Ash. Charizard smirked and absolutely roasted the poor ice type.

"Ah, this is bad" said Zinzolin as he returned his Pokemon. He turned to run, but Officer Jenny was right there.

"Zinzolin, you are under arrest" she said as she held up her hand cuffs.

"Crap" he mumbled as he held up his hands. With him cuffed, Jenny turned to Ash.

"Nice job Ash. You dealt with him easily" she said.

"Don't mention it. Just making sure everything is all good" he said, to which his Pokemon agreed.

"You think this is over, it has only begun. You have no idea what's coming" said Zinzolin as Jenny dragged him away.

"He's right you know, this isn't over" said N as he walked into view.

"What do you mean" asked Ash.

"Zinzolin isn't the leader, he's likely just a distraction. Something to keep us away from whatever Ghetsis is planning" said N, making Ash think.

"What do you think he's planning" asked Ash.

"I have an idea, but if I'm right, we need to stop him" said N. Ash nodded and hopped on Charizard. He held out his hand to N, who allowed Ash to pull him up.

"Charizard, let's go" said Ash.

"Zard" said Charizard as it took to the sky. 

"Ok, so what do you know" asked Ash, being rarely serious. 

"I know some areas in Unova have experienced extreme cold snaps" said N. 

"But it's the middle of the summer" said Ash.

"Exactly" said N. As they flew, Ash spotted something in the distance.

"What is that" he asked. N pulled out a spyglass, and gasped.

"It's Team Plasma's ship" said N. Ash looked down, and saw that everything below the ship was covered in ice.

"This is bad, hopefully they don't spot us" said Ash. Just as he said that, a cannon from the ship shot a beam of energy.

"Charizard" said Ash. Charizard banked away from the attack. 

"N, are you ready" asked Ash with a smirk.

"Ready for what" asked N in slight fear.

"Ready to bring down Team Plasma" said Ash as Charizard sped up.

"AAAHHHH" yelled N as he held on for dear life. 

Oh oh oh, I'm unbeatable.

"Flamethrower" said Ash as Charizard avoided another blast from the cannon.

"Zard" said Charizard as it unleashed a flamethrower so powerful that it exploded the cannon.

Walking down this endless highway. Nothing but my friends beside me

"Code red code red" called out Colrus over the microphone. An army of Golbats, Crobats, Woobats and Swoobats filled the sky.

"Um, Ash. That's a lot of Pokemon" said N in fear. But Ash was unfazed. 

"Go Dragonite" said Ash as he unleashed the mighty dragon.

Never give in, we'll never rest. Advance battles is the ultimate test

"Dragonite, use draco meteor" said Ash. Dragonite unleashed the powerful attack and dove through the army, taking down every single Pokemon. 

"Open fire" said Colrus in a panic. Multiple cannons fired at Charizard and Dragonite.

From the earth, the land, the sea and sky. They can never win but they sure can try

Charizard and Dragonite had no issues in avoiding the attacks. Although, N was not having fun.

"Ash, you should really do something about those cannons" he said in fear. 

Oh oh oh, I'm unbeatable. Pokemon 

"Pikachu, thunderbolt. Charizard, flamethrower" said Ash. Both Pokemon unleashed their attacks, sweeping across all the cannons. 

"Cannons down, we're going in" said Ash.

"Wait what" questioned N as Charizard pulled up, above the ship.

Oh oh oh, I'm undefeatable

"Pikachu, electro web. Make it a big one" said Ash. 

"Pika" exclaimed Pikachu as it produced a massive electro web and threw it at the deck of the ship. It electrocuted all the Team Plasma members it touched. 

"Let's go" said Ash as Charizard dove down.

From the stars and the ancient past. They come to play but they never last

Pikachu despirsted the web and they landed. N was shaky to get off of Charizard as Ash jumped down no problem. Dragonite landed next to them. 

"I need to get to the central computer. It should have some key data" said N.

"Alright, let's go down" said Ash.

Oh oh oh, I'm unbeatable. Pokemon 

"Charizard, Dragonite. Dragon claw" said Ash.

"Wait there are stairs" exclaimed N, but it was too late. The two Pokemon ripped a hole in the deck, causing them to fall right into the center of the ship.

Oh oh oh, I'm undefeatable

"Kill them" exclaimed one of the grunts. 

"Get to the computer. I'm going to have some fun" said Ash with a smirk. 

You think you'll win but soon you'll see. You may be tough but you'll never beat me

"Lord Ghetsis, you must run. I'll hold them off" said Colrus as he handed Ghetsis a master ball.

"The plan will still continue" said Ghetsis as he entered his escape pod. It shot out of the ship, going towards the great creator.

"Alright Ash, I'll stop you myself" said Colrus.

There's a feeling deep inside me. It's always there to guide me

As N was typing on the computer, Ash's Pokemon were destroying the competition. They knocked out every Pokemon, and even any grunts that got in their way. 

"Ok, I'm done" said N.

"Same" said Ash as all the grunts were defeated.

It's in my heart and in my soul. Leading me to the ultimate goal

"No you're not. Not until you deal with me" said Colrus from behind his Klinklang. 

"Ok then. Flamethrower" said Ash.

"Zard" said Charizard as it unleashed it's flamethrower, frying the gear Pokemon. Although it was still standing.

You can try your best, this might be fun. You'll go down in defeat before you've begun

"Pikachu, thunderbolt" said Ash as he charged himself. The attack knocked out the opposing Pokemon, as Ash went for Colrus.

"Take this" said Ash as he decked Colrus, knocking him out. N just stood there in disbelief. 

Oh oh oh, I'm unbeatable. Pokemon

"Alright Charizard, let's blow this place" said Ash.

"Wait, WHAT" exclaimed N, but it was too late. Charizard shot fire at the controls, sending the ship falling down.

"Ash, what about the grunts" exclaimed N.

Oh oh oh, I'm undefeatable

"Charizard, Dragonite, get them to safety" said Ash. The two Pokemon piled up the unconscious baddies and flew off.

"Wait, what about US" exclaimed N.

Every move, each attack you choose. You think you can win but you'll always loose

"Come on" said Ash as he grabbed N's arm and Pikachu jumped on his shoulder. They ran up to the top of the deck as the ship plumated. 

"You ready to jump" asked Ash.

"NO" yelled N. Too late.

I'm unbeatable

"AHHHHHHHHHH" yelled N in horror as they jumped off the ship right before it exploded, but they were caught by Charizard and Dragonite. 

“My name is Ash Ketchum. I woke up late on my first day of being a trainer, which gave me my best bud Pikachu. I met lots of friends on my journey, both people and Pokemon. I lost the league. Then I lost again, and again, and again, again and again, before I finally won in Alola. Then I became the strongest trainer in the world. I saved the world a few times, and I did this. We don't talk about this (crossdressing). But after all this, I still love being a Pokemon Trainer. Besides, there's only one Ash Ketchum, and you're looking at him”

"That was awesome" said Ash joyfully. N just sat there, looking like he just saw a ghost.

"Yeah, awesome" he said weakly. 

"Looks like Team Plasma is done for" said Ash with a smile.

"No" said N, serious now.

"No, what do you mean no" asked Ash.

"Ghetsis got away. He's the leader" said N. Ash turned serious as he looked around.

"Any idea where he went" asked Ash.

"I think he went to the Great Creator. At least that's what the computer said" said N.

"Ok then. Dragonite, you get N to safety. Make sure the rest of Team Plasma gets arrested" said Ash. N nodded before they flew off. 

"Alright Charizard, let's end this" said Ash. They flew off towards the Great Creator until they saw Ghetsis. 

"GHETSIS" yelled Ash as landed with Charizard. With Charizard and Pikachu beside him, Ash was ready for anything.

"Ash, it seems you're a thorn in my side yet again" said Ghetsis as he faced Ash.

"I'll always be a thorn in your side, as long as you keep doing bad things" said Ash. Ghetsis growled in frustration.

"YOU PATHETIC BOY. You'd think that someone like you would understand my goals. YOU SHOULD BE STANDING BESIDE ME" yelled Ghetsis as he slammed his staff onto the group.

"I would never stand beside someone like you" said Ash. This made Ghetsis sigh.

"I see she has corrupted you. You don't even know who I am to you" he said in disappointment.

"You're a villain, that's all I need to know" said Ash. 

"You don't know the half of it" said Ghetsis as he tossed two pokeballs. Out came Cofagrigus and Bisharp. 

"You don't stand a chance" said Ash. 

"We shall see. Shadow ball, night slash" said Ghetsis. Cofagrigus shot the shadow ball at Ash as Bisharp charged forward.

"Use iron tail to cut through the shadow ball. Charizard, use flamethrower" said Ash, unfazed by the direct attack. Pikachu cut through the shadow ball as Charizard blasted Bisharp. 

"Now, use thunderbolt and flamethrower" said Ash. Both his Pokemon unleashed a powerful attack. 

"Protect" said Ghetsis. Cofagrigus used protect to block the two attacks. It pushed the ghost back, but didn't knock it out.

"You didn't think that would work, did you" mocked Ghetsis.

"Nope" said Ash with a smirk. This confused Ghetsis.

"NOW" called out Ash. Charizard then smacked Bisharp with a powerful dragon claw, knocking it back. 

"Pika" said Pikachu as it hit Cofagrigus with an iron tail to knock it back. 

“Looks like I have the advantage” said Ash as his Pokemon were completely unharmed as both of Ghetsis’s Pokemon were struggling to keep up.

“You have no idea what I have in store for this battle” said Ghetsis as his Pokemon both charged.

“Flamethrower” said Ash. Charizard unleashed it's attack at the two incoming Pokemon.

“Protect. Bisharp dodge” said Ghetsis. Cofagrigus blocked the attack as Bisharp jumped away.

“Metal claw” said Ghetsis as Bisharp jumped straight at Ash. 

“Electro web” said Ash, not even looking at the attacking Pokemon. 

“Pika” said Pikachu as it trapped the Bisharp in the web.

“Dragon claw” said Ash. Charizard dove at Cofagrigus and knocked it away with its claw. 

“You're going to lose Ghetsis. I'm the Top Champion” said Ash with a smirk. This just made Ghetsis smirk.

“WE'LL JUST SEE ABOUT THAT” he yelled in rage. From the bushes behind Ash, a Hydreigon bursted into the sky. It was already charging a powerful attack to strike him down.

“Dragon pulse” said a female voice from behind Ash. The Hydreigon was blasted in the back and hit the ground. From the sky, a girl on a Salamence flew down next to Ash. She had a Pikachu on her shoulder and looked like Ash, but female.

“Who are you” asked Ash.

“I'm you”

Chapter 2: The Ash Verse

“My name is Ashley Ketchum. I woke up late on my first day of being a trainer, which gave me my bff, Pikachu. I met a lot of friends on my adventure, and went a little boy crazy on the way. That is, until I met my boyfriend, Isaac. He's so handsome. I lost the league, over and over and over and over again, before winning in Alola. In Alola, I met my half siblings, Lillie and Gladion. My mother, Lucamine, went insane. I lost Lillie. But even after all of that, I still love being a Pokemon Trainer. Besides, there's only one me, and I'm it. At least, that's what I thought”

“YOUR ME” exclaimed Ash in shock and confusion. This just made Ashley giggle.

“Yep. I'm you from another world” she said as she jumped off her Salamence with her Pikachu.

Sometimes it's hard to know, which way you're supposed to go

“Wait, so why are you here?” asked Ash, already over the initial shock.

But deep inside, you know you're strong . If you follow your heart, you can't be wrong

“I'll tell you later. But first, we should take care of this punk” said Ashley as she turned back to Ghetsis, who was extremely confused.

“I feel like I'm missing a really important piece of information” he said as he looked between the two.

Sometimes it's hard to see. Just what is your destiny

“I don't have two” he mumbled before shaking his head.

“It doesn't matter how many there are of you. I'll crush you both” he snapped as he tossed three more pokeballs into the air. Out came Bouffalant, Seismitoad and Elektross.

Stand up, for what is right. Be brave, get ready to fight. Hold on, we're friends for life

“Alright then, go Feraligatr” said Ashley as she unleashed the water type.

“Awesome, you have a Feraligatr” exclaimed Ash.

And if we come, together as one, complete the quest, that we've begun. We can win the battle, Galactic Battle Pokemon

“Do you have another Pokemon?” she asked Ash. Then, Dragonite returned.

“You bet” he said with a smirk, which she returned.

The time is now, the game’s begun! Together we fight as one!

“Time to finish this. THUNDERBOLT” said both Ash and Ashley as their Pikachu's both unleashed the powerful attack. Seismitoad jumped over to take the hit.

“Nice try kids” mocked Ghetsis.

Each of us, in our own way. Can make this world a better place

“DRAGON CLAW” called out Ash. Both Charizard and Dragonite flew past him and hit Seismitoad with the attack.

“Salamence, use draco meteor” called out Ashley. The mighty dragon flew up and unleashed its attack. The attack was devastating, knocking out Seismitoad.

Stand up, for what is right. Be brave, get ready to fight. Hold on, we're friends for life.

“Hydreigon, use dark pulses on the kids” said Ghetsis. The dragon flew at the two kids, who were unfazed.

“IRON TAIL” they both called out.

“Pika” said each Pikachu smacked the dragon, knocking it out.

And if we come, together as one, complete the quest, that we've begun. We will win the battle, Pokemon

“I don't really get how you're here, but I'm not complaining” said Ash.

“Trust me buddy, you haven't seen anything yet” said Ashley with a smirk.

“ENOUGH. Bisharp, use executioner” said Ghetsis.

Just when it seems you are lost and alone, you will find the courage and strength to carry on

Bisharp jumped up to attack the kids.

“Draco meteor” said Ash. Dragonite unleashed its attack and tackled Bisharp. This took out the dark type and injured Ghetsis’ other Pokemon.

And if you fall along the way, have faith that you'll be ok

“I know he's your villain, but let me handle this” said Ashley as she stepped in front of Ash.

“Ok, if you insist” said Ash. Ashley then smirked at Ghetsis.

“Just me and you gramps” said Ashley, angering Ghetsis.

Cause you're friends are there for you, reaching out to pull you through

“Feraligatr, use ice fang. Pikachu use iron tail. Salamence, use dragon rush” she said.

“Cofagrigus, use protect” said Ghetsis. The ghost type blocked all three attacks, but they pushed past the protect and knocked it out.

“Impossible” exclaimed Ghetsis.

Stand up, for what is right. Be brave, get ready to fight. Hold on, we're friends for life

“Electross, take out that Feraligatr” said Ghetsis. However, the alligator grabbed the electric snake and threw it on the ground.

“Dragon claw” said Ashley. Feraligatr and Salamence both landed their attacks.

And if we come together as one. Complete the quest we've begun. We will win the battle

This just left Boofolant, who was terrified.

“Pikachu, use thunderbolt” said Ashley. Her Pikachu jumped up and charged her attack.

“PikaCHUUUUUUUUUU” she called out as she unleashed her attack.

Pokemon

Ghetsis looked on in shock as his entire team was defeated.

“Ghetsis, it looks like we won” said Ashley.

“Yeah, N should arrive with the police any second” said Ash. This just made Ghetsis laugh.

“You have no idea how wrong you are” said Ghetsis as he pulled out another pokeball.

“Another one” exclaimed Ash.

“Oh no” said Ashley.

“Go, Kyurem” said Ghetsis as he unleashed the legendary Pokemon.

“Ash, this bad” said Ashley, however Ash was unfazed.

“Charizard, flamethrower. Dragonite, dragon claw” he said.

“Sheer cold” said Ghetsis. Before Ash’s Pokemon could finish their attacks, they were knocked out.

“No way” said Ash.

“Looks like this is over” said Ghetsis with an evil smile.

“It's never over” said Ash, as a portal opened behind him.

“Hu” he questioned as he looked behind him. Like a flash, a Garchomp shot out of the portal and hit Kyurem with a dragon claw, making the dragon stumble back.

“Blue” exclaimed Ashley as someone walked through the portal. Another Ash. This one was wearing a blue jacket, jeans, black shirt and hat. However, he was taller than Ash, a few scars on his arms, and blue eyes. On his shoulder, a Pikachu with a blue scarf sat.

“You're me” questioned Ash.

“You bet” said Blue, in a slightly deeper voice than Ash’s.

“My name is Ash Ketchum. I woke up late on my first day of being a trainer, which gave me my best bud Pikachu. I met a ton of friends along the way, including my girlfriend Misty. I lost the league, over and over and over and over again, until I became the first Alola champion. Then, I became the strongest trainer in the world. I also saved the world a few dozen times. My eyes turned blue when I got my aura powers, which I lost control of. I lost my friends when they prevented my father, Giovanni, from controlling Arceus. But even after all that, I still love being a Pokemon Trainer. Well, now I do”

Stand tall cause you know that I'm a winner. You met your match, yeah I'm no beginner

“Teal, I thought you said you could handle it” said Blue with a smirk.

“Teal” questioned Ash until he noticed that Ashley's Pikachu had a teal scarf.

“I didn't know he had Kyurem. But looks like you got this” said Teal with a smile.

No beginner, Pokemon

“You bet I do” said Blue as he walked up to the fight, his Garchomp jumping over to him.

“Another one. How many of you are their” exclaimed Ghetsis.

“You don't want to know. But just so you know, I'm the one they send when things get bad” said Blue as he turned his hat around.

“No matter. I'll still crush you. Sheer cold” said Ghetsis.

I stand tall cause I know I'm a winner. Knock me down I'll just get up again

“Pikachu, thunderbolt” said Ash. The two attacks collided. Ghetsis and Ash looked on in shock as Blue’s Pikachu was able to match Kyurem’s power.

“Impossible” said Ghetsis.

“Garchomp, dragon claw” said Blue. The dragon launched forward and knocked Kyurem away.

You've met your match, yeah I'm no beginner. Pokemon, Pokemon

“Dragon pulse” said Ghetsis. Garchomp was hit in the stomach, sending it flying back.

“We should help” said Ash as he grabbed a Pokeball, but Ashley grabbed his arm.

“Trust me, he's got this” she said.

Gotta catch them all

“Garchomp, use dig” said Blue.

“Chomp” said Garchomp as it dug underground.

“Hiding underground, weak” said Ghetsis.

You've met your match, yeah I'm no beginner. Pokemon, Pokemon. Gotta catch them all

“Garchomp, use draco meteor” said Blue. The ground under Kyurem exploded and sent the legendary into the air.

“Iron tail” said Blue as he tossed Pikachu into the air.

I've got all my friends besides me. I'm keeping my eye on the ball

“Pika” said Pikachu as he smacked Garchomp with his tail, sending it towards the ground.

“My turn” said Blue as his eyes started to glow blue and aura started to swirl in his hand.

With the wisdom of years to guide me, I'm gonna catch them all

When Kyurem came close, Blue punched it with his aura. This sent the dragon flying into its trainer, knocking the Pokeball out of his hand.

“Wow” is all Ash could say. Blue crushed the Pokeball under his foot.

“You're free” he said to Kyurem. The dragon nodded, and walked off. Ghetsis was left unconscious as N arrived with Jenny.

“Um, what happened” he questioned.

“Ghetsis has been defeated” said Blue as he returned his Garchomp.

“How are there three of you” asked Jenny as Ashley returned her other two Pokemon.

“It's a long story, but we need to steal your Ash” said Ashley, confusing the older humans.

“Why do you need me” asked Ash.

“You'll see. Trust us, it's important” said Blue as he opened up a portal with his watch.

“Wow, that's incredible” exclaimed Ash.

“Come on, let's go” said Blue as he walked through the portal.

“What are you waiting for” exclaimed Ashley as she grabbed Ash’s arm and they ran through. N and Jenny just stood there in confusion.

“What just happened”

Chapter 3: The Canon 

The trip through the portal was a crazy one. All Ash could make out was colorful lights, and flashes. When it all stopped, Ash found himself in an impressive building. 

“Wow, this is incredible” he said as he looked around.

“Pika” said Pikachu. 

“Welcome to the headquarters of the League of Ash’s” said Ashley with a smile.

“So, who's world is this” asked Ash.

“Mine. An old foe of mine used it as a base. When Black needed a place to run operations, I let him use this place” said Blue. 

“Who's Black” asked Ash.

“Our leader” said Ashley. 

“Blue, Teal, I see you found him” said another voice. Another Ash walked up to them. 

“Wait, Crybaby Ash” questioned Ash, making his mirror self blush.

“I go by Orange” he said, showing off his orange jacket. 

My name is Ash Ketchum. I woke up late on my first day of being a trainer, which gave me my best bud, Pikachu. I was a bit of a crybaby until I met Ash. After that, things were great. Serena and I got together, although I did lose Clement. And I found out my father is Lysander. But things got better. I lost the league a few times, but I won in Alola. Even after everything, I still love being a Pokemon Trainer. 

“It's good to see you” said Orange as he shook Ash’s hand. 

“Good to see you too” said Ash. 

“So, I'm guessing Black wants us to report” said Blue. 

“Yeah, he does. Just going to warn you, Black isn't in a good mood” said Orange.

“When is he” questioned Ashley. 

“I just noticed, you guys are all wearing necklaces. Why is that” asked Ash.

“Oh, they're lockets” said Blue as he took it out of his shirt and opened it. Inside, was a picture of Misty.

“Wait, that's Misty,” said Ash.

“Yeah, she's my girlfriend” said Blue. Orange had a picture of Serena, while Ashley had a picture of a male Iris. 

“Don't you have a girlfriend?” said Orange.

“No. I've never even thought of that” said Ash. The other three Ash’s had deadpan looks.

“What” questioned Ash. 

“You have a lot to learn. Come on, Black wants to see you” said Blue as he waved them along. 

As they walked through, Ash and Pikachu were looking around in childish wonder. 

“He's so much more happy than any of us” said Ashley to Blue. 

“He probably hasn't been through any of the bad cannon events,” said Blue with a sad look.

“Shouldn't that be a good thing?” questioned Orange. 

“It means he's about to face all of them” said Blue.

My name is Ash Ketchum. I woke up late on my first day of being a trainer, which gave me my partner, Pikachu. I met a lot of friends along the way, and even fell in love. My girlfriend, Lillie, ment everything to me. But things weren't happy for long. Not once he came. My entire world, it was destroyed. Everyone I knew, everyone I loved, gone. Lillie, gone. My team and I were the only survivors. So, I dedicated my life to making sure no other world will be destroyed. No matter what, I will stop him.

The Ash's arrived in a central room. Standing in the middle of it, surrounded by digital screens, was Black. He wore all black, which included a black eye patch over his right eye. His gloves had small claws over the knuckles. He looked hardened from time and conflict, his eyes in a scowl. 

“Black, meet Ash Ketchum of Earth 4197” said Blue. Black walked forward and offered a hand to Ash. His voice was deeper than the others.

“Glad to have you onboard” he said as they shook. Their Pikachus shook too, Black's having a matching eye patch.

“What am I getting on board of?” asked Ash, who was very confused. Black sighed and walked over to one of the screens.

“Basically, we need your help,” he said as the room around them turned into a massive hologram. 

“Incredible,” said Ash. 

“We need your help to stop your world from being destroyed,” said Black. 

“What do you mean?” asked Ash. 

“A criminal we call Dark has been running rampant across the Multiverse. He's already destroyed his world, and mine. And it seems like he's going for your world next” said Black. A hologram of a person with a hood casting a shadow over his face appeared.

“Who would do something like that?” questioned Ash. This made the others look around nervously.

“There's only one person strong enough to destroy worlds without being stopped” said Blue. 

“One of us” said Black as the hood disappeared, and the face of the hollageam was none other than Ash's. An Ash with black eyes and covered in scars. This made Ash step back.

“No way. It can't be” he said. 

“It makes sense. We've all stopped plenty of people who have tried. But when an Ash is trying to destroy the world, who's going to stop them” said Orange. This made Ash clench his fist.

“Why? Why would he do this?” questioned Ash. This made Black sigh again. 

“Sometimes, the Canon can be too strong,” he said sadly. This just confused Ash.

“What are you talking about?” asked Ash. 

“Of course he doesn't know” mumbled Black as he typed a few things in his computer. A diagram came up, with multiple pictures. 

“The Canon, the events that make up every Ash’s story every time” said Black as he stood in front of the pictures. The first one was of Ash holding Pikachu the first time.

“Waking up late on our first day. This always gives us Pikachu” said Black as he petted his buddy. The next picture was of Ash, Misty and Brock eating together.

“We always make friends along the way. They might not all be the same, but we always do” said Black. Ash looked back at all his friends, from Misty to Goh. The next picture was of Ash holding back tears from losing the league.

“We lose, a lot. But we always get stronger from it” said Black. The next picture was of Ash finally holding a trophy.

“And all those losses lead us to winning in Alola” said Black.

“I've been through all those things, but what about the other three?” asked Ash. A hand went to Black’s chest where a chain led. The next picture wasn't of Ash, but of a locket 

“We always fall in love,” said Black. He opened his locket, showing a picture of Lillie. 

“Love! I haven't fallen in love” exclaimed Ash.

“Maybe not yet, but you will,” said Ashley.

“Trust me, we always do” said Blue with a smile. 

“But what about the other two pictures?” asked Ash. The second to last one was of Blue being towered over by Giovanni.

“One of our parents is always evil,” said Black, making Ash’s eyes widened.

“No way,” he said. The last picture was of Orange running with an arm outstretched as Clement was crushed by rubble.

“And that one,” Ash choked out. Black’s fist clenched as dark blue aura swirled around his hand.

“We always lose someone, because of our parent” said Black. Ash stumbled back.

“N-no way. I refuse to believe it” he said. But the downcast looks from the others was all the answer he needed.

“Trust me, we've each tried to stop it. But it's impossible” said Blue. 

“I'm not going to let that happen” said Ash. Black was about to say something, but Blue shut him down.

“Your optimism is impressive. Whatever happens, don't lose it” said Blue. 

“What do you mean?” questioned Ash.

“If you lose it, you end up like me. Or Dark” said Black. Ash took a moment to process all of this.

“Ok, where is he?” asked Ash.

“Once I find out, I'll let you know. For now, you should rest up” said Black as he turned back to the screens.

“Come on Ashy-boy, I wanna battle you” said Ashley as she pulled him along. 

“So do I,” said Blue as he walked with them.

“I wanna watch” said Orange as the four walked off. Black just watched on, sadness in his eyes. 

Chapter Text

Chapter 4: The Best Ash

Blue led the group to a room where there was a battlefield as well as a machine to heal Pokemon. 

“Wow, this is really cool,” said Ash as he looked around. 

“We use this as the training area” said Blue as he walked over to the battlefield.

“Well Ashy-boy, let's get going” said Ashley as she walked away from the healing machine.

“Yeah, let's” said Ash as he healed his Pokemon. Once the two were standing across from each other, they each pulled out a Pokeball.

“Go, Corvanite” called out Ashley as she unleashed her Pokemon. 

“Go, Krookodile” said Ash as he sent out his friend. 

“Let this battle, BEGIN” called out Blue. 

“Krookodile, use dragon claw” said Ash. 

“Kroo” said Krookodile as it launched itself as Corvanite.

“Take to the sky and use brave birds,” said Ashley. The metal bird flew out of rang and flew around before diving at Krookodile.

“NOW” exclaimed Ash. Krookodile whipped around and landed the dragon claw right as Corvanite landed its attack. 

“Not bad,” said Ashley.

“You haven't seen anything yet” said Ash. 

“Neither have you. Iron defense” said Ashley. The metal bird coated itself with even more iron. 

“Use crunch” said Ash. Krookodile jumped at Corvaknite and crunches down. However, the hit barely even registered. 

“Revenge” said Ashley. 

“Cor” said Corvaknite as it hit back with even more power, knocking Krookodile back. 

“Looks like Ash is in trouble” said Blue.

“Don't count him out just yet” said Orange. 

“Krookodile, use stone edge” said Ash. Once the stones were thrown at Corvanite, it flew into the sky. 

“Corvaknite, let's finish this! Use brave bird” exclaimed Ashley. The metal bird dove down at Krookodile. 

“Hold strong” called out Ash. No one could see what happened due to all the dust. 

“Hah, got you” said Ashley. However, Ash's smile never faded. Once the dust cleared, Krookodile was pushing Corvanite back. 

“WHAT” exclaimed Ashley as she watched on. 

“Barry it” called out Ash. 

“KROOKODILE” exclaimed the croc as it slammed the metal bird into the ground. Corvanite was stuck in the ground. 

“NO” exclaimed Ashley as Ash smirked.

“That's a classic Ash move” said Blue with a smile.

“Use a flurry of dragon claws” said Ash. 

“Kroo” smirked Krookodile as it hit Corvaknite over and over again. 

“Corvaknite, get out of there” called out Ashley. However, it was unable to move. 

“I got it! Use flash cannon” called out Ashley. 

“COR” came the muffled cry of the metal bird before it blasted itself out of the hole. The blast also sent Krookodile back. 

“Incredible. Good work Teal” said Blue. This made the girl blush.

“Awww, thanks” she said. 

“But it looks like neither Pokemon could take much more” said Orange. Sure enough, Krookodile could barely stand and Corvaknite could barely stay in the sky. 

“Let's finish this” called out both Ash and Ashley. 

“Dragon claw” called out Ash. 

“Revenge” called out Ashley. The two Pokemon charged at each other. 

“Jump” said Ash. So Krookodile did, right over Corvaknite’s attack, and landed his on the bird’s head. When the dust settled, Krookodile stood strong. 

“KROOKODILE” it exclaimed. 

“WAY TO GO” exclaimed Ash as he ran over and hugged his Pokemon. 

“Great job Corvaknite. I'm so proud of you” said Ashley as she returned her Pokemon. The two trainers shook hands.

“That was a great battle” she said.

“Yeah, you were incredible” said Ash, making her blush.

“Awww, you too” she said. Orange ran over to them as Blue watched on.

“What do you think buddy?” he asked his Pikachu.

“Pika pi” said Pikachu, something that Blue seemed to understand perfectly.

“I agree, he reminds me of myself. His joy and optimism, it's hard to come by” said Blue.

“Pikachu pi pika” said Pikachu, making Blue laugh.

“I guess you're right. Ok, let's test this one” he said as he walked over to the group. 

“Alright new guy, it's my turn” he said as he crossed his arms with a smile.

“Alright” exclaimed Ash before he noticed Blue’s gloves.

“Why do your gloves have spikes” asked Ash.

“They aren't spikes, just nubs. It helps in a fight” said Blue as he walked over to the other side of the battlefield. 

“What do you mean?” asked Ash. 

“There are times when I have to pull my own weight in a fight. Sometimes, the bad guys want to throw hands” said Blue as he pulled out his pokeball. 

“Get ready Ash. I hope you know not to hold back” said Blue with a smirk. 

“Don't worry, I won't” said Ash with a smirk as he took out his pokeball. 

“Good. Go, Crawdaunt” said Blue as he tossed up his pokeball.

“Daunt” bellowed the mighty crab. 

“Wow, your Corphish evolved,” exclaimed Ash.

“Sure did. Crawdaunt helped me a lot on my journey” said Blue as he rested a hand on the crab.

“Alright, GO LYCANROC” exclaimed Ash as he sent out his Pokemon.

“Lycan” said the rock wolf. 

“Nice. My Lucanroc helped me finally beat my rival and become the Grand Champion” said Blue.

“Oh, you mean Leon” said Ash.

“No, not Leon. I beat him in the semi finals” said Blue, catching Ash off guard. 

“Focus boys. Let the battle begin” said Ashley.

“Lycanroc, use accelerock” said Ash.

“Ly” said Lycanroc as it shot forward. 

“Meet it with a crab hammer,” said Blue. Once Lycanroc was about to slam into the crab, it was knocked away. 

“Don't let up, hit it with hydro pump” said Blue.

“Craw” said Crawdaunt as it opened its claw and shot the attack at Lycanroc.

“Use accelerock to get away” said Ash. 

“Rock” said Lycanroc as it ran away. Once the water subsided, Lycanroc was still picking up speed.

“NOW” exclaimed Ash. 

“Crab hammer” said Blue. This time, Lycanroc was too fast and slammed into the crab. 

“Good use of speed. But just so you know, we've barely even started” said Blue with a smirk. This made Ash nervous. 

“Alright Crawdaunt, grab Lycanroc with crunch” said Blue. 

“Daunt” said Crawdaunt as it launched itself at Lycanroc.

“Counter” said Ash. Before Crawdaunt could land itt attack, it was hit by the super effective move. 

“Oh boy” said Blue as Crawdaunt stumbled back.

“Now, use stone edge” said Ash.

“ROCK” exclaimed Lycanroc as it stomped on the ground, making the rocks come at Crawdaunt. 

“Crab hammer” said Blue. Before the rocks could hit the crab, it cut right through them. This sent two pillars of rock into the air.

“Grab them” said Blue. The giant crab grabbed the two rocks, one in each claw. 

“Classic Blue” said Ashley with a chuckle.

“He used a similar strategy to beat me” said Orange. 

“Now, ATTACK” called out Blue. Crawdaunt launched forward and smacked Lycanroc with the rock, sending it into the air. Crawdaunt jumped up after it.

“Lycanroc, use counter” exclaimed Ash. Lycanroc destroyed one rock, but Crawdaunt smacked the wolf into the ground with the other rock. Once Crawdaunt landed, Lycanroc could barely stand.

“Let's finish this. Grab it with crunch” said Blue. 

“Get out of there” exclaimed Ash. Unfortunately, Crawdaunt grabbed Lycanroc with its claws.

“LYCAN” exclaimed Lycanroc in pain. 

“Use bite” said Ash. Lycanroc did so, but the crab barely noticed.

“Hydro pump” said Blue. The point blank attack slammed into Lycanroc, launching it across the room and into a wall. 

“LYCANROC” exclaimed Ash as he raced over to his friend. Lycanroc was fainted, making Ash sigh.

“You did great, return” said Ash as he returned his Pokemon. Blue and Crawdaunt walked up to him.

“That was great, Ash. You really gave us a run for our money. If I were to guess, I'd say Black is the only other one who could beat you” said Blue. 

“Thanks. But it doesn't seem like I stood a chance” said Ash as he rubbed his neck. 

“You certainly have the strength of one of us, Red” said Black as he walked up to the group along with two other Ash's.

“Red” questioned Ash. Black then tossed Ash a red jacket and red bandana.

“Welcome to the team. Your code name is Red, so we don't get confused” said Black with a smile.

“Does this mean you know where Dark is” asked Blue as Ashley and Orange walked over to them.

“Yes. He's going to Alola” 

Chapter Text

Chapter 5: Dark

“ALOLA” exclaimed Ash. 

“Unfortunately, yes. If we hurry, we can prevent whatever he's planning” said Black as he opened a portal. 

“Wait a minute, I know you” said one of the Ash's, the one that teamed up with Ash to stop Palkia and Dilga from fighting.

“Green, not the time” said Black as he went through the portal. Green, Blue, Ashley and Orange followed.

“Don't worry Red, we can do this” said an Ash with a yellow jacket, an Ash who fought Marshadow early on his adventure. Ash nodded and the last two went through the portal. 

“Snowy, use ice beam” called out Lillie. 

“Ni” said the white Ninetales as it unleashed its attack. 

“Braviary, dodge and use superpower” said Kukui.

“Brav” said the mighty bird as it flew over the attack and dove down at Ninetales. 

“Dodge it” said Lillie, but the bird was too fast and landed the attack. This sent Ninetales flying back, but it was able to recover. 

“You've gotten a lot stronger Lillie,” said Kukui with a proud smile.

“Thanks Professor. I couldn't have done it without your guidance” said Lillie. Suddenly, a portal opened behind the girl.

“AAHHH” she screeched as she whipped around and threw a punch.

“Ah” exclaimed Black as he fell backwards from the impact. 

“Ash, I'm so sorry” exclaimed Lillie, only to freeze when Green, Orange, Blue and Ashley walked out too.

“Uhhhhhhhhhhh” she stammered as she just stood there.

“Hi there, you must be this world's Lillie,” said Green with a smile. Ashley couldn't meet the other girl’s eyes as she helped Black up.

“You're not my Ash” said Lillie as she backed up. 

“Lillie, Professor. Good to see you” said Ash as he walked out with Yellow. Lillie and Kukui just stood there, their brains not functioning properly, before they suddenly snapped into reality.

“WHAT IS HAPPENING” they both exclaimed. Black walked up to them, his face one of business.

“Lillie, Professor Kukui, my name is Black. I am the leader of the League of Ash. We've come here because there's a lunatic on the loose who set his sights on this world. You two are likely in danger” he said.

“Nice going Black, that totally didn't freak them out” said Ashley as she rolled her eyes. 

“Ash, what's happening?” pleaded Lillie as she held onto his arm.

“We're here to protect Alola. Don't worry Lillie, it'll be ok” he said as he took her hands and looked her in the eyes. Lillie’s face turned very red and she backed away.

“O-ok” she stumbled. Ash just stood confused, making his other versions facepalm. 

“Ash, I know you tend to have some pretty crazy adventures, but this is unusual, even for you,” said Kukui. 

“Let me explain. You two are familiar with Ultra Wormholes, right” said Blue. The two nodded.

“Each of us are from another world on the other side of an Ultra Wormhole, more or less. This world, it's under threat from another version of us, one who wants to destroy it” said Blue. This caused the two’s eyes to widen. 

“That's horrible,” said Lillie. 

“And knowing that he's one of us, you two are likely in great danger” said Blue. The two looked at each briefly.

“What do you mean?” asked Kukui. 

“In every world, both Lillie and Kukui play a big role in Ash’s story,” said Black. Before any more questions could be asked, there was a loud crackle and the ground shook. 

“THAT'S HIM” exclaimed Black as each of them brought out a pokeball. A portal ripped open the sky, and Dark walked through. He was wearing all black with a hood casting a shadow over his face. Ash put himself between him and Lillie.

“Ah, the League of Ash’s. I see you're still being a thorn in my side” said Dark with a joyous glint. His voice was that of someone who long ago let go of their sanity. He took off his hood and looked at them with his black eyes. His gloves seemed to have claws on them. He noticed Kukui and smirked.

“I see the usual mentor is here. I wonder if he's just as much of a failure as mine was” said Dark. He looked around and saw Lillie and Ash.

“A Lillie. There's always a Lillie” he said as his fist shook and black aura swirled around them.

“New guy, you should know something. Every time an Ash gets too close to a Lillie, she DIES” exclaimed Dark with a pained smile.

“LIES” yelled Ash as he kept Lillie behind him. 

“Red, it's true,” said Black. Ashley looked away as Black walked forward.

“This is over Dark. You can't win. I WON'T LET YOU” snapped Black. This just made Dark laugh.

“You, stop me. Yeah right” said Dark. This time, it was Ash who stepped forward.

“I have a few questions for you,” he called out.

“Red, stand down” ordered Black. 

“Ok newbie, I'll answer them,” said Dark with a wicked smile.

“Where's your Pikachu?” asked Ash. This just made Black scoff. 

“I got rid of that useless rat when it wouldn't help me,” he said. This just made the other Ash's shake with anger. 

“Why are you doing this” snapped Ash. 

“Why, it's simple. My world took EVERYTHING from me. My mother, my Lillie. She died by MY FATHER'S HANDS. So, I'll destroy EVERY world. That way, no one will have to suffer like I did” said Dark, his voice growing more broken.

“THIS ISN'T WHAT YOUR LILLIE WOULD WANT” yelled Lillie. However, this only seemed to madden Dark.

“YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH. You're not her, you're just an imposter” said Dark as he pulled out a pokeball.

“I'll kill you myself. That way, the newbie will feel what it means to be an Ash” said Dark.

“NO. I won't let you hurt her” snapped Ash as he charged Dark.

“Red, DON'T” called out Black. But it was too late. Dark punched Ash with his black aura, sending him flying back.

“Go, ETERNATUS” called out Dark as he threw his pokeball into the sky. The massive dragon bursted free, to the horror of everyone else. 

“What, did you think I destroyed the world alone,” said Dark with a wicked smile.

“You're not the only one with a legendary dragon. Go, Rayquaza” said Black as he unleashed his mighty dragon. 

“If I wasn't so terrified, I would be ecstatic,” said Kukui as he took a few steps back. 

“Blue, back me up” called out Black as he jumped on his dragon. 

“Alright, go Nebby” said Blue as he sent out the sun lion. 

“WHAT IS HAPPENING” cried out Lillie in shock and fear. Blue jumped on his Nebby. 

“Use sunsteel strike” called out Blue. Nebby charged at Eturnstus while glowing.

“Dynamax canon,” said Dark. The mighty dragon unleashed its attack, but it deflected off of Nebby as it slammed into the giant dragon. 

“Don't worry, I'll keep the rest of you busy” said Dark as he pulled out five more pokeballs. He tossed them out, and his army emerged. Deoxys, Darkrai, Kyurem, Guzzlord and Roaring Moon. The Ash's were at the ready as Lillie was having a panic attack.

“Wh-wh-what is happening” she stumbled out.

“Don't worry Lillie, everything will be ok” said Ash as he gave her a smile. 

“Go, Infernape and Dragapult” called out Green.

“Go, Greninja and Goodra” called out Orange.

“Go, Quaquaval and Baxcalibur” called out Yellow.

“Wow, I've never seen those Pokemon before,” said Ash.

“Not the time Red” said Ashley as she unleashed her Pokemon.

“Go, Feraligatr and Salamence” she said. 

“Go, Charizard and Dragonite” said Ash. 

“Kukui, get Lillie out of here,” said Ash. 

“I'm not leaving you, Ash,” said Lillie. 

“Neither am I,” said Kukui. There was an explosion in the sky, which set off the battle. 

“Destroy them all” said Dark as he pointed at the heroes. His Pokemon charged forward.

“We won't let you do that,” said Ash as his group stood strong. 

“Flamethrower” said Ash as Charizard unleashed its attack. Guzzlord jumped in front and took the attack. Deoxys zipped past and slashed Goodra, sending it skidding back. 

“Greninja, let's do this” called out Orange as water started to swirl around the water type. When the water settled, Ash Greninja stood at the ready. 

“Use dark pulse” said Orange. Greninja clapped its hands together, sending a blast of power at Deoxys. However, this attack missed the faster Pokemon. 

“I got Deoxys, you guys hold off the others” said Ash.

“Ash, you can't beat it alone” called out Lillie as she ran over to him. 

“I don't want you to be hurt. Dark is after you” said Ash. 

“I'm not weak anymore. I've been training. I can help you” said Lillie. Ash hesitated, but nodded. 

“Pikachu, use quick attack to catch up with Deoxys” said Ash. 

“Pika” said Pikachu as he took off. Deoxys was going after Yellow’s Baxcalibur. However, Pikachu caught up.

“Iron tail” called out Ash. Pikachu jumped up and smacked Deoxys into the ground. 

“Snowy, use ice beam” said Lillie. The attack landed, which froze part of Deoxys.

“Flamethrower and thunderbolt” called out Ash. Both attacks landed, although Deoxys fought through. 

“It's strong” said Ash before he got punched away by Dark. 

“ASH” exclaimed Lillie before Dark grabbed her by the throat.

“Just as beautiful as always. But mine was prettier” said Dark as he squeezed her neck, making her gasp for air.

“NO” exclaimed Ashley, but she was sent back by an explosion. 

“LILLIE” exclaimed Ash as he stood up. They locked eyes, and Lillie's were filled with fear. 

“LET HER GO” yelled Ash as a light blue aura swirled around him. 

“Aura. That's interesting” said Dark. 

“NOW” yelled Ash as he threw his hands forward, a blast of aura shooting at Dark.

“Oh shi-” he mumbled before getting blasted by the attack. He dropped Lillie as he flew back. Ash stood in shock as he looked at his hands.

“How did I do that?” he questioned.

“Red, you're an aura user” said Ashley as she helped Lillie up. 

“LOOK OUT” exclaimed Kukui as he grabbed the two girls and pulled them out of the way of an explosion from Guzzlord. 

“Use dragon darts,” said Green as his Dragapult unleashed its attack.

“Use glavlive rush,” said Yellow. The ice dragon charged at Guzzlord. Both attacks hit, but Guzzlord wasn't shaken. It unleashed a powerful dragon pulse that knocked all the Ash’s away. 

“Black, things aren't looking good down there” said Blue as Nebby ran around Eturnstus to try to confuse it. Rayquaza then blasted the purple dragon. 

“Send in your Pokemon” said Black before Rayquaza was blasted. 

“Alright, Garchomp, Crawdaunt, Serperior and Raikou” said Blue as he threw his pokeballs to the ground. The four Pokemon bursted free. Serperior wrapped Guzzlord in its vines to hold it back. Crawdaunt, Garchomp and Raikou went after the other legends. 

“HE HAS A RAIKOU” exclaimed Ash.

“Yep, he's the strongest of us” said Orange as he helped his Greninja up.

“Ash, WHAT IS HAPPENING” exclaimed Kukui as he ducked under an explosion. 

“I thought that was explained” said Green to which Yellow shrugged. 

“SER” exclaimed Serperior as it struggled to hold back Guzzlord. 

“RRROOOOAAAARRRRR” the ultra beast was constantly yelling.

“We need a plan. Does anyone have a plan” exclaimed Ashley in a panic. Ash was looking around, everything starting to overwhelm him. That was until he felt something soft and smooth holding his hand. He looked over and met Lillie's eyes. They were no longer afraid, but confident and caring. Ash smiled and nodded, to which she returned. 

“A pika tower” said Ash.

“Huh” questioned Ashley. 

“If all our Pikachu's combine their power, we should be able to overpower Guzzlord” said Ash.

“Pikachu Pika” nodded his Pikachu. The other Ash's nodded and smiled. 

“Alright then, stack up” called out Ash. The five Pikachu’s stacked together. Green and Yellow on the bottom, Orange and Teal in middle and Red on top. 

“ALRIGHT, USE THUNDERBOLT” they all called out. 

“CHUUUUUUUUUUUU” called out the Pikachus. The thunderbolt was so bright and powerful it blinded everyone. When the light subsided, Guzzlord was unconscious on the ground.

“IMPOSSIBLE” exclaimed Dark. The Pikachus were winded, but still standing. Dark shook with anger.

“Red, you just made a dangerous enemy” he called out as he returned his Pokemon.

“Take a rest Guzzlord” he said as he pocketed the ball. His other four Pokemon ran to his side. Blue's Pokemon joined the Ashs as they looked each other down. 

“Give up Dark, you can't win” called out Ash. 

“Besides, help is on the way. Soon, the rest of the Ultra Recon Squad and every other powerful trainer in Alola will be here” said Kukui with a smirk. Dark smirked, then laughed. 

“You didn't actually think rushing in was my plan, did you? I was testing you, seeing how powerful you are. Now that I know, I can put my plan into motion” he said as he returned his Pokemon.

“This has only just begun. By the way, schools out” said Dark as he opened a portal under him and fell through. 

“NO” exclaimed Black as he and Rayquaza dove down. Unfortunately, the portal closed, and they slammed into the ground. 

“Schools out, what does that mean?” questioned Lillie. Kukui’s eyes widened.

“He's going to destroy the school,” he said. 

“Rayquaza, go” exclaimed Black. The mighty dragon charged past. The others returned their non-flying Pokemon and jumped on their flyers. 

“Go, Toucannon” said Orange.

“Go, Kilowattrel” said Yellow. The two birds grabbed their trainers by the shoulders and flew off, along with Braviary and Kukui. 

“Lillie, get on Dragonite” said Ash as he jumped on Charizard. Lillie nodded and the two took off. Seconds later, the Ultra Recon Squad landed.

“Where is everyone?” asked Mallow.

“Split up. We'll find them” said Gladion as they took off again. He was flying towards the school. 

When Black arrived, many people looked on in wonder. He jumped into the school and punched his fist together, causing a small explosion.

“EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET OUT OF HERE, NOW” he yelled. This was enough to scare everyone into listening. When the others joined them, they worked together to get everyone out of the school. 

“Where's the bomb?” questioned Ash as he, Lillie, Blue and Black remained. Right as he said that, it went off. Everyone was blown back as a fireball emerged. 

“NO” exclaimed Black as he used his aura to try to contain the blast. Blue stood up and joined him. Neutral and dark blue tried to contain the fiery explosion. 

“Red, we need your help” said Black as they struggled. Ash slowly stood up, Lillie right behind him. 

“I don't know how,” said Ash.

“It's about protection. Think about protecting someone important to you. It'll come” said Blue. Ash looked at Lillie, and nodded. 

“Ok” he said as he extended his hands. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. 

“I will protect her. I WILL PROTECT HER” he exclaimed. Light blue aura exploded off of him. Soon, the blast wasn't just contained, but gone. Ash collapsed to the ground as Blue and Black struggled to stay up. 

“ASH” exclaimed Lillie as she ran to her Ash. 

“He's more powerful than both of us” said Blue as he watched the two hug.

Chapter Text

Chapter 6: The Calm Before The Storm 

When three Ash's and one Lillie walked out of the school, everyone was overjoyed. Everyone besides Gladion, who seemed to be having an Ash overload.

“Gladion, what are you doing here?” asked Lillie. 

“Can someone please explain what is happening?” asked Gladion. 

“Another version of us is trying to destroy the world,” said Black. Gladion seemed to want to question, but ended up shrugging.

“I want to be surprised, but I'm not,” he said. 

“We may have fought Dark off, but this is just the beginning,” said Black. 

“What could possibly happen next?” asked Lillie.

“I don't know. But Dark isn't someone to underestimate, trust me” said Black with a somber sadness. 

“We won't. I had a hard time grasping the situation, but I understand. If we don't do something, the whole world could be destroyed” said Ash as his fist clenched. Lillie put a gentle hand on his shoulder, making him calm down slightly.

“I'll stand with you, Ash,” she said. Ash smiled at her, making her blush.

“So will I. It's my job as your guardian to keep you safe” said Kukui.

“You know that us Ash’s don't need help with that” said Ashley with a smirk.

“Of course I do. But I'm not leaving” said Kukui. 

“We need to regroup. Red, can you use your contacts to help us out” asked Black. This just confused Ash.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

“You know, your friends and the other champions,” said Blue.

“Oh, yeah I can contact them. I've never done it on this scale before” said Ash. 

“Really, I do it all the time,” said Blue.

“Blue, not all of us are as experienced with organizing massive world saving efforts as you are” sassed Ashley, making him chuckle.

“I guess not” he said with a nervous chuckle. Before anyone could respond, there was an explosion of smoke.

“Prepare for trouble”

“And make it double” 

But the moto stopped there as the trio looked at the multiple Ash’s.

“Twerp, twerp, twerp, twerpet, twerp” they exclaimed as they looked around.

“TWERP OVERLOAD” they yelled before falling over. Everyone just looked confused. Everyone but Blue. He walked over to them and yanked Jessie and James up.

“We need your help,” he said.

“You do” questioned James.

“We do” questioned Ash.

“This world is on the brink of destruction. We need your help getting a message out” said Blue. 

“Why should we trust you?” snapped Jessie. 

“It's true. This isn't a joke guys” said Ash as he walked up to them. The trio hesitated, but nodded. 

“Ok, we'll help you. James, you're up” said Jessie.

“Ok then. Red, you go with Team Rocket to get the message out. The rest of us should return to base” said Black. 

“I'm going with my Ash” said Lillie as she grabbed his arm, making the two of them blush. 

“Same. I don't trust these three” said Kukui as he glared at Team Rocket. 

“I'll tag along too,” said Blue. Black just sighed.

“Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Good luck” said Black as he opened a portal, freaking out the trio and shocking Gladion. 

“See you soon” said Ashley as the other Ash's left. This left Ash’s group.

“I'll gather the Ultra Recon Squad,” said Gladion.

“Ok” said Ash. Gladion nodded and left on Noivern. 

“Ok, if we're going to get a message out to the entire world, we need a place with a really powerful supercomputer,” said James. That's when Ash realized something.

“That's why he tried to blow up the school. The Ultra Recon Squad base” said Ash. 

“Well, then let's get to work,” said Meowth. 

Once they arrived at the base, it was damaged but in tack. The computer was still working, thankfully.

“Ok, I can work with this,” said James as he got to work. 

“So, blue twerp, how awesome are we in your world?” asked Jessie. This just made Blue smile.

“Yeah, did we ever beat you” asked Meowth.

“Of course not, but you guys did give me a good battle a few times. For a while, we were enemies. But in the end, we became good friends” said Blue.

“FRIENDS” exclaimed Ash, Jessie and Meowth. 

“Yeah. We saved the world together a few times, and got closer. Especially after my father betrayed you” said Blue. 

“And who's your father?” asked Jessie.

“Giovanni,” said Blue. This shocked everyone besides Ash. 

“It's ready, Ash. It's up to you now” said James. Ash nodded and walked over to the computer. 

“I'll rig up the camera and send the message out to as many people as possible,” said James. 

“Do you know what to say” asked Lillie.

“No idea,” said Ash, making everyone drop. 

“I don't really think I'm cut out for this,” said Ash. Blue then put a hand on his shoulder.

“Ash, you're the strongest trainer in the world. People will listen to you” said Blue. Ash nodded and took a deep breath. 

“I'm ready,” said Ash. James nodded and started to record. 

On screens all across the world, Ash appeared. This confused just about everyone.

“Hello, I am Ash Ketchum, and I have some bad news,” he said. If people weren't paying attention before, they were now. 

“Our world is under attack by a criminal from another world. He's not just a criminal from another world, he's me from another world. He wants to destroy our world. He has multiple legendary Pokemon” said Ash, making people all across the world gasp in horror. This even shocked Team Rocket.

“But hope isn't lost. I've teamed up with other versions of me to stop him. And I swear, we will. But my message to everyone is this, look out for each other. If you can fight, fight to protect others. We can win this, together” said Ash.

Meanwhile, Ghetsis was sitting in his prison cell when one of the guards fell lifelessly in front of him.

“What the” he questioned. He looked up and saw Dark.

“Ash” he questioned.

“Not your Ash, but yes. I have a mission for you” said Dark as he pulled out a pokeball.

“I don't work for others,” said Ghetsis.

“This mission, it would allow you to get revenge. And to reconnect with an old love” said Dark as he tossed Ghetsis the ball. This just made him smile.

“See you in Pallet”

Chapter 7: Family 

Delia was in her home with Mimey. The two of them were cooking dinner, completely oblivious to the chaos of the outside world. So when there was a knock on her door, she didn't think anything of it.

“Coming” she said as she walked over and opened the door. What she wasn't expecting to see was her son.

“Ash, come in dear” she said as she let him in. 

“Thanks Mom” said Ash as lightning struck outside, lighting up his black eyes. 

“Dear, are you ok? Your voice sounds off” asked Delia as he walked into the kitchen. When Mimey looked at him, it jumped back.

“And where's Pikachu?” asked Delia as she noticed the lack of mouse.

“I lost him. Team Rocket got him” said Dark. He was facing away from her so she didn't see his smirk. 

“That's horrible” said Delia as she went to hug him, but stopped when he turned to face her with his black eyes.

“You're not my Ash,” she said as she backed away. This made Dark smile.

“Maybe not, but I'm still your son” said Dark right as the video phone sprang to life and Oak came onto the screen. 

“Delia, Delia. Are you there?” he questioned.

“Samson, I-AHHH” exclaimed Delia as Dark blasted the phone.

“I never liked him. Especially the one from my world. He was a creep” he said with a smile as he sat on the counter.

“What do you want with me?” questioned Delia as she backed away.

“I'm not going to hurt you, if that's what you're worried about. No, I'm just here to bring about a reunion” he said. Once he finished, there was another knock on the door. A slow knock, one that Delia knew too well.

“No,” she said as her eyes widened in horror. 

“Like I said, a reunion” said Dark as another lightning bolt struck as the door opened. A figure slowly walked into the house, casting a shadow over Delia. 

“Hi honey, I'm home” said Ghetsis as lightning struck. 

As Ash and his friends were talking, Blue got a call from Black.

“Yeah boss. Oh no” said Blue in horror as he looked at Ash.

“We found Dark. But he's in Pallet” he said. 

Delia backed away, Mimy standing between her and Ghetsis.

“It is good to see you again” he said as he went to cup her cheek. Delia slapped his hand away.

“Get away from me,” she said. 

“Mime” said Mimey as he put up a barrier. However, this barrier was shattered by an aura blast from Dark. 

“We can't have that, can we” said Dark with a smirk. 

“No, we can't,” said Ghetsis. Then, he hit Mimey with his staff.

“NO” exclaimed Delia as Ghetsis started to beat Mimey with his staff.

“STOP” she exclaimed as she jumped on Mimey to protect the Pokemon. Ghetsis didn't stop, and beat her instead.

“AAAHHHH” she yelled in pain. Dark just sat there, a smile on his face. When Ghetsis did stop, Delia was crying and bleeding on the ground. 

“Women. This is what you creatures deserve” he said with a smile. The door bursts open, and Ash runs in. 

“MOM” yelled Ash. 

“You said we wouldn't have any interruptions” snapped Ghetsis. 

“I said my Pokemon and your Shadow Triad would keep them busy. I never said this one wouldn't get through” said Dark. 

“GET AWAY FROM MY MOM” yelled Ash as he ran over to her. 

“Ash, you must run,” she said weakly.

“I won't abandon you” he said before getting knocked away by Ghetsis’ staff. 

“Dark, why did you free him,” demanded Ash. 

“Simple. The canon” said Dark as he tossed a knife around in his hand.

“What do you mean” snapped Ash. Ghetsis walked over to Ash with a smirk. 

“So, I'm guessing your mother never told you” he said with a smirk.

“Told me what” snapped Ash as a light blue aura swirled around his fist. 

“Boy, haven't you wondered who your father is” said Ghetsis as he jabbed Ash with his staff. 

“What does my father have to do with this” snapped Ash and he knocked the staff away. 

“Wow, I guess you're the dumb Ash. I figured it out pretty quickly. Why don't you tell him” said Dark as he picked up Delia and tossed her towards Ash. Ash helped her stay standing.

“Mom?” questioned Ash. Delia sighed in sadness.

“Ghetsis, he's your father,” she said. Ash's eyes widened as he stumbled back.

“Wh-what” he stumbled. 

“It's true Ash. He convinced me he was right, but then I saw him for the horrible person he is” said Delia. This just made Ghetsis laugh. 

“Horrible. I'LL SHOW YOU HORRIBLE” as he took out a pokeball. 

“I thought you lost all your Pokemon” questioned Ash in shock. 

“Oh, that's mine. I'm just letting him use it” said Dark with a smile. 

“It's time for my revenge. You will die today, Delia” said Ghetsis before tossing the ball behind him. Out came Kyurem. 

“RUN” yelled Ash as he grabbed his mother's arm. They ran to the door, but it was blocked off by a wall of ice. 

“You can't escape. You will die here” said Ghetsis as he laughed. Ash and Delia ran to the back door, but they were blocked off again. Ghetsis and Kyurem walked into the room, backing them into an ice wall. The structure of the house was starting to fail. 

“Let me guess, all of your Pokemon are currently fighting. It's just you” said Dark as he stood in the back. Ash shot a blast of aura at him, but Dark basically flicked it away. 

“I'll leave you to it” he said as he blasted a hole in the wall and walked out.

“Time to die” said Ghetsis before Kyurem unleashed an attack. 

Dark returned his Pokemon, and walked away.

“GET BACK HERE” yelled Black. But Dark opened a portal under him and he fell through and was gone. 

“NO” yelled Black as he blasted the ground. Behind him, the house was nothing but rubble. Crying could be heard. Lillie and Kukui looked over and gasped. Jessie buried her head into James’s chest as Meowth couldn't watch. The other Ash's looked away in despair, putting themselves into his shoes. 

On top of the rubble, Ash was holding Delia in his arms. He was crying, Pikachu and Mimey were by him as his other Pokemon were nearby, not knowing what to do. 

“Mom, I can't believe this,” he said through his tears. Lillie and Kukui ran up to him. Lillie hugged him from behind as Kukui did so too. 

“We're here for you,” said Lillie. 

“She's gone”

Chapter 8: The Story of Ash

“Delia Ketchum was a shining star. She was the best of all of us. A beloved friend, and devoted mother. Her life was taken from her, by the same one who gave her her son” said Oak as he barely kept it together as he stood in front of the grave. Team Rocket were crying off to the side. The Ash's were gathered together, each with a pained expression. 

“I know she isn't my mother, but it still hurts like she is,” said Yellow.

“I know. It's like watching my own mother's funeral” said Green. 

“We need to be there for him,” said Blue as he looked back to the rubble, where Ash was sitting with Lillie and Kukui, who hadn't moved an inch. 

“He has them,” said Black.

“He’s one of us. We know this pain” said Ashley.

“As one of us, he'll be fine” said Black as he walked away. Yellow and Green followed him, but Ashley, Blue and Orange didn't. Instead, they went to Ash. 

“Red, are you ok?” Blue asked gently. There was no answer. Ash just sat there, staring at the ground. Pikachu was rubbing against his hand, but his master didn't respond. 

“He just lost his mother. He's not ok” said Lillie as she glared at Blue.

“At least her killer is somewhere under all this” said Kukui, jestering to the rubble. Ashley sat next to Ash.

“I know how you feel,” she said.

“No you don't” said Ash, his voice broken.

“I lost my sister. And it was because of my mother” said Ashley as she looked at Lillie.

“Her name was Lillie, she was you” said Ashley, making Lillie gasp. 

“I was raised by my dad. I traveled the world with Pikachu, and things were great. I encountered a few villains, but I never thought much of them. Until I got to Alola”

“Could it be, Ashley” questioned Lusamine as she walked up to Ashley.

“Um, yeah. That's me” she said. This made Lusamine smile.

“I can't believe it. Finally, I have my daughter back” said Lusamine.

“Turns out I had two half siblings. My father was her affair partner. There was my little brother Gladion, he was the sweetest little thing. And there was my big sister, Lillie. She was tough, but kind” 

Ashley was eating at an outdoor cafe with Lillie and Gladion. 

“I'm really happy you're here Ashley. I've always wanted another sister” said Gladion. He was small and gentle, wearing all white. 

“What, am I not enough, you little twerp” said Lillie as she messed with his hair. She was wearing all black and her hair covered half her face. Despite her rough appearance, she had a warm smile. 

“Everything was great. We were close, but there was tension between them. Turns out it was because of our mother. While my father got me out, Lillie and Gladion were stuck with her. She was abusive, manipulative, and cruel. She only cared about one thing, Ultra Beast” 

“Mother, you have to stop this madness. People will get hurt” said Lillie.

“Please mother. This isn't right” said Gladion.

“Quite children. You children don't have the right to speak out against me. I am your mother, that means you have to be loyal to me” said Lusamine.

“WE ARE NOT JUST THINGS FOR YOU TO BOSS AROUND” snapped Ashley. This earned her a slap from Lusamine.

“It was at that moment that we knew she had to go down. We gathered our friends, and we fought. Unfortunately, we were too late to stop the Ultra Beast invasion. And Lillie…”

An entire swarm of Nihilego unleashed an attack on Ashley.

“NO” yelled Lillie as she pushed her sister out of the way. 

“LILLIEEEEEEEEEE” 

“She died, because of our own mother. So yes, I know how you feel. I lost her in the same way you lost your mother. At the hands of someone who's supposed to love them” said Ashley.

“Ashley, I'm so sorry” said Lillie as tears fell. 

“Red, we've all been through something like this,” said Blue. 

“But you've seemed like a better version of me,” said Ash. Blue sat down, his head in his hands.

“Far from it,” he said. 

“After the Sinnoh league, I returned to Kanto with my girlfriend Misty. But things didn't go well. Team Rocket conquered the entire region” 

Misty and Ash limped into an underground bunker. Delia ran over to them and scooped them into a hug. 

“This is terrible,” she said. 

“This region is ours. And let this be known, if I find out that anyone is helping those fighting against me, I WILL kill you” said Giovanni over the TV.

“We fought back, me and my friends. Jessie, James and Meowth even helped us. Even Mewtwo. In the end, it came down to just me and my father, Giovanni”

“LET HER GO” yelled Blue. Giovanni pulled on Misty’s hair, causing her to yelp in pain.

“Now boy, that is no way to talk to your father” said Giovanni with a smirk.

“I won, and we took back Kanto. But the damage was done. I became terrified and convinced I was just like my father. And when I saw the TRio in Team Rocket uniforms again, lost it” 

“You, YOU TRADERS” yelled Blue as aura exploded off of him. Everything slowed down as the aura connected with Misty, sending her into the air.

“AHHHHHH” she screamed as she fell back down, her leg snapping. 

“I hurt her. She got hurt, because of me. That was my lowest moment. She recovered, and I eventually forgave myself. Things looked good, until the Legendary Pokemon War” 

Blue was riding on top of Ultra Necrozma, as a man in all black was riding on top of a red eyed Arceus. 

“An enemy of mine took control of Arceus. Using its power, he took control of every legendary Pokemon. Many people lost their lives. Meyer, Brandon, even Squishy. But the hardest one, was Jessie, James and Meowth” 

“But their Team Rocket” snapped Ash.

“They were my friends. They had been my friends for a long time” said Blue.

“My father tried to claim Arceus for himself. He tried to rewrite the machine that was controlling Arceus. But they sabotaged him, and stayed to prevent him from escaping” 

“If you stay here, you'll die” snapped Giovanni.

“We know,” said Jessie.

“But so will you,” said James.

“With you gone, the world is safe” said Meowth. The room exploded, killing all inside. 

“We won, but the cost was high. You see Red, I'm not better than you. I lost myself. I lost sight of what it meant to be an Ash. I lost sight of what it meant to be a hero. You haven't. You're the best of us Red” said Blue. 

“Trust me Red, a good person losing themselves is a very tragic story. I've seen the worst of it” said Orange.

“Was it you?” asked Ash.

“No. It was someone else” said Orange.

“It was during the Kalos crisis. Lysander knew I was a threat, so he came after me and my friends. Turns out, he was my father” 

“Do you really think you can stop me, your own father” mocked Lysander as he kicked the downed Orange.

“N-no. It can't be” said Orange as he tried to crawl away, only for Lysander to stomp on his back.

“Things only got worse. During Zygarde’s attack. Clement was killed” 

“BROTHER” screamed Bonnie as he was crushed by the rubble. 

“Instead of freeing Zygarde, Bonnie took control of it herself. She was so angry, so hurt and so sad. She killed Lysander, but she wasn't done”

“Bonnie, you have to stop this” exclaimed Orange.

“NO. HE WAS EVERYTHING TO ME, NOW HE'S GONE” yelled Bonnie as her face was covered in tears and even some blood.

“Bonnie, I know you're hurting, but Lysander is gone. You have to stop or innocent people could die” said Serena.

“I DON'T CARE I DON'T CARE I DON'T CARE I DON'T CARE” yelled Bonnie as Zygarde unleashed another attack.

“Serena was eventually able to calm her down, but it was too late. Luminous City was destroyed. The casualties were in the hundred thousands. After that day, Bonnie hasn't said a word. All she does is sit and look blankly ahead” said Orange. Everyone sat in silence.

“She sounds like Dark” said Ash.

“Red, all of us have faced a great tragedy. But these events don't define us. How we respond to them is what makes us who we are” said Black as he walked over. Ash took a deep breath and slowly stood up. Lillie took his hand, and he squeezed it back. 

“Thank you. I swear, I won't let this turn me into Dark. We can stop him” he said as a smile pulled onto his face.

“Black, do we know where he is?” he asked.

“I'm afraid not, but I got a pretty good idea,” said Black.

“Where” asked Kukui. 

“Mt Coronet” 

Chapter Text

Chapter 9: The End Part 1

Everyone was standing in the League of Ash's base.

“I still can't believe how incredible this place is,” said Lillie as she looked around, her hand clenched with Ash’s. 

“Alright, we need a plan. We know what Pokemon Dark has. But we don't exactly know what he's going to do” said Black.

“What did he do in your world?” asked Kukui. 

“He used some kind of device. But it wasn't quick. He likes making people suffer. Besides, the device was left behind” said Black.

“You said he's probably at Mt Coronet. Why do you say that” asked Ash. 

“I'm sure you've met Dialga and Palkia there, right?” said Black. 

“Yeah, oh. That's bad, really bad” said Ash. 

“Then we should go. We can't let Dark get his hands on those Pokemon” said Kukui. 

“We can't just run in. We need to think it out” said Black.

“I have an idea,” offered Lillie. 

“Go ahead,” said Blue.

“Ok, here's the plan” 

Dark was sitting on MT Coronet, mediating. 

“Ash, I love you. I'll always be by your side” said Lillie as she he held his hand and kissed his cheek. 

“I love you too,” said Dark.

Black aura started to swirl around his body.

“What's happening” exclaimed Lillie as they saw Eturnstus rise into the sky. 

“ASH” exclaimed Lillie as she pushed him. When he hit the ground, he watched as she was crushed by rubble.

“LILLIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”

Power erupted off of him. His fist were shaking.

“Boy, you don't just stand before another trainer. You stand before your father” exclaimed Charmin Rose. 

“YOU KILLED LILLIE” yelled Dark as he charged at his father. In a flash of darkness, Rose laid dead. 

“I see you found me, not that I was hiding” said Dark as Black and Blue walked up to him. 

“This ends now. I won't let you destroy another world” said Black. 

“You can't stop me. You know that” said Dark.

“We won't stop until we do. It's two against one” said Blue as he and Black got into a fighting pose.

“Oh, you want to throw hands. Very well” said Dark as he stood up.

“If you want to die so badly, then who am I to tell you no” said Dark as he got into his fighting pose. 

“Please, take the first move” said Dark with a smirk. Blue punched forward, aura erupting from his fist. Dark moved out of the way, and was able to catch Black's punch. 

“Not good enough” said Dark as he encased his other hand in aura. 

“Eat this” said Blue as he punched Dark across the face. Dark stumbled back, but then blasted both of the other Ash's. 

“You can't beat me, you know that” said Dark as he cracked his knuckles.

“I won't rest until I do,” said Black.

The rest of the team were quietly climbing the mountain.

“With Black and Blue keeping Dark distracted, we should be able to figure out what he's planning,” said Lillie. 

“Lillie, you're a genius,” said Ash, making her blush. 

“Keep your eyes open. His Pokemon could be anywhere” said Ashley. 

“And the Shadow Triad might still be working for him,” said Kukui. Once they reached the summit, they were surrounded by said Shadow Triad. 

“You will go no further,” they said. The group of heroes stood in a protective circle and pulled out their pokeballs. 

“We're a collection of some of the strongest trainers in the world. What makes you think you can beat us” challenged Orange. 

“What makes you think we're going to come at you with Pokemon” challenged the Triad as they each pulled out a dagger. 

“ASH NOW” yelled Lillie. Ash blasted the ground with his aura, kicking up the snow. Once it settled, the heroes were in the sky, on top of Rayquaza. All but their Pikachus.

“CHUUUUUUUUUU” the Pika Army called as they shocked the Triad, knocking them unconscious. 

“We got them” exclaimed Meowth, before they were blasted from above. When the heroes got back up, Rayquaza and Eturnstus were locked in combat, the mighty battle shaking the mountain. This time, the heroes were surrounded by Kyurem, Guzzlord, Darkrai, Deoxys and Roaring Moon. 

“Lillie, was this part of the plan?” asked Ash.

“No,” she said in fear. 

“Nevermind that. We got this” said Ashley as they unleashed their own Pokemon. Ash then also tossed out Blue’s Pokemon. 

“Stand together, and bring them down” called out Ash as the battle began. 

Dark jumped over a blast from Black and punched him in the back. Blue was laying on the ground, eyes closed. Dark stood over Black, a smirk on his face.

“You thought you could beat me. Pathetic. You failed once, you will fail again” he said as he stomped on Black's back.

“No, I won't fail. Last time, I was the only Ash. But now, I have more” said Black. Dark whipped around, and caught Blue’s fist.

“Oh please, you didn't think that'd actually work, did you? I know how an Ash thinks” said Dark before throwing Blue away. Black stood up and was able to punch Dark in the face as Blue recovered. 

“This isn't over. As long as we draw breath, it won't be over” said Blue as he launched himself at Dark. 

“Use Draco meteor” called out Ash. 

“Drag” exclaimed Dragonite as it dove at Guzzlord, only to get blasted by Roaring Moon. 

“TWERP” yelled James as he tackled Ash out of the way of a flying dagger. 

“Thanks James” said Ash as they stood up.

“The Shadow Triad is up, can you fight?” asked James. Ash punched his fist together, and aura surrounded them.

“Let’s find out,” he said with a smirk. What Ash wasn't expecting was for James to pull out a gun.

“Stun gun. One shot will paralyze the entire body” said James before he pushed Ash’s head down and shot a Triad. 

“Keep your head on a swivel. Our Pokemon can handle themselves, we need to fight the humans” said James, to which Ash nodded. One of the Triad appeared behind Lillie, who whipped around and punched him. This made him stumble, allowing Jessie to shoot him. 

“I got your back” she said as she messed with the younger girl's hair. There was an explosion, and both Ryquaza and Eturnstus fell into the mountain. This shook the ground, making everyone fall and dust and snow fly everywhere. 

When the dust settled, Ash ran to Lillie.

“Are you ok?” he asked as he helped her up.

“I'm fine,” she said. They looked around and saw that all the Pokemon, both allies and enemies, were unconscious. The people were slowly rising. 

“DIE” yelled a Triad as he swung his dagger at Ash. Ash grabbed his arm and kicked him in the chest. With aura in his fist, Ash punched him out. 

“Now it's just Dark” said Ash. There was an explosion as something slammed into the mountain. Everyone looked over and saw Black fall to the ground. 

“BLACK” exclaimed Green and Yellow as they ran over, only to get blasted away by Dark. 

“Pathetic” said Dark as he started to walk over to the ground. Despite his cocky exterior, there was a limp in his walk. 

“Where's Blue” demanded Ashley. 

“I left him down the mountain. He'll be fine, maybe” said Dark as he smirked. Jessie, James and Meowth each took a shot, and hit Dark in the chest. He stumbled back, but stayed up. 

“No way. That's enough juice to knock out a Snorlax” exclaimed James. This just made Dark laugh like mad. 

“You didn't really think that would work, did you?” he exclaimed. In fact, all it seemed to do was make him more crazy.

“BACK OFF” yelled Ash as he charged Dark with aura surrounding him. Ash threw a punch, but Dark caught it. 

“New kid, you don't stand a chance” said Dark before throwing Ash so hard he created a new cave. In a flash, Dark was holding Lillie by the neck.

“I admire your fight. I'll give you 4 hours. If you wish for this world to live, meet me at the top of the mountain” he said he pressed a button on his wrist and opened a portal that he and Lillie fell through. Everyone just stood there a moment, their hope ripped away. 

“It's over, isn't it?” said Kukui as he fell to his knees. 

“No. I watched my Lillie die. I won't let another die” said Ashley as she punched the ground. 

“It's not over. As long as I'm alive, it's never over” said Ash as he struggled out of the cave.

“TWERP” exclaimed the TRio as they sucked him into a hug, one that Ash returned. 

“Red is right. We can win” said Blue as he walked over, dragging a limp, but alive, Black with him. 

“You're ok” exclaimed Ashley, to which Blue nodded. 

“But is Black” asked Orange as Blue laid him down.

“He'll be fine, but he can't lead us,” said Blue. 

“Then you must” said Ash as he walked over to Blue. 

“But-” started Blue.

“You can do this. I trust you. I trust you with not just my life, but my entire world” said Ash. Blue smiled and nodded. 

“Ok. I think I have a plan” 

Chapter Text

Chapter 10: The End Part 2

Dark was standing on the Spear Pillar, Lillie tied to a pillar.

“You’re a lucky girl you know. You get to witness the end of your world first hand” he said as he sat down to meditate. 

“This can't be what you want,” exclaimed Lillie. Dark just took a small device out of his pocket and tossed it in the air.

“I'll show you what I've already done,” he said. The device showed multiple pictures, similar to the League of Ash's base. 

Dark walking away from Professor Magnolia’s lab, which was encased in a fiery explosion. Leon was running towards it, already far too late. Dark held a Pokeball in his hand. 

Dark walked away from the destroyed Luminous Gym. A bloodied Clement held a motionless Bonnie in his arms. 

Burnett laid on the ground, her lifeless body wrapped around a bundle of blankets. Kukui was in the doorframe, frozen in horror.

Max looked up at Groudon’s foot, inches from his head. May couldn't do anything but watch. 

Dark stood on top of a tall cliff. Falling from it was Reggie. Paul was nearby, reaching out for his brother. But it wasn't enough.

Dark struck down Kukui, Leon, Paul, May, Clement and Gladion. 

Lillie couldn't believe her eyes. All those people, Dark’s friends, were murdered by his own hands. 

“Does this show you what I am? There is NOTHING left in me. All I am is a tool for destruction. And this world is next” said Dark as power radiated off of him. Lillie struggled against her restraints, but couldn't break them.

“I have one last trick up my sleeve” said Dark as he stood up. He held out his hand, and the Red Chain appeared. A chain that almost looked stained in blood. 

“With this, I will bring this world to its knees” said Dark as the chain floated into the air in front of him. 

“PALKIA, DIALGA. I SUMMON YOU” Dark cried out to the heavens. The two legendary Pokemon were forced in front of him, bound by the chain. They cried out in pain and rage. 

“NO” yelled Lillie. 

“Yes. I am unstoppable” exclaimed Dark as he held his arms out to the sky. 

“This can't be what your Lillie would want” said Lillie. Dark snapped around to her and slapped her across the face. 

“Shut up, YOU FAKE” yelled Dark as slashed her with his knife.

“AAAHHHH” she yelled in pain. When she looked back up at him, there was a scare going across her left eye. 

“You're just an imposter. You lost. Whatever plan your boyfriend is coming up with won't work. I know how an Ash thinks” said Dark as he forcefully grabbed her face. This just made Lillie laugh.

“What's so funny,” snapped Dark. 

“None of the Ash's made this plan. I did” she snapped at him. Dark was taken aback when there was a sudden shaking. 

“Prepare for trouble” called out Jessie as a massive mechanical hand grabbed onto the side of the pillar.

“And make it double” said James as another hand grabbed onto the side. 

“To protect the world from deviation” said Ashley as she sat on the shoulder of a massive Meowth Meck. 

“To protect the goods of truth and love” said Orange as he sat on the other shoulder. 

“Jessie” 

“James”

“The League of Ash blasts off at the speed of light” said Blue as he stood next to the Meck.

“Surrender now or prepare to fight” said Ash with a massive smirk.

“Meowth that's right”

“Pika Pika” said Pikachu from Ash’s shoulder. Blue jumped at Black with aura flowing through him. Dark avoided the attack and activated his own aura. 

“You're too late. I already have Dialga and Palkia under my control” said Dark as the sky turned red and started to crack. Dark punched Blue away.

“But I'll finish you myself” said Dark, only to get blasted by a missile from the Meowth Meck. 

“WORTHLESS FOOLS” yelled Dark as he blasted the Meck, knocking it over. 

“THUNDERBOLT” yelled Ash as Pikachu jumped up.

“CHUUUUUUUUU” yelled Pikachu, but the attack was met by an aura shield. 

“That weak mouse is nothing,” said Black before he got tackled by Kukui. Dark looked over and saw that Lillie was free.

“NO” he yelled as he threw Kukui off of him. 

“RIP APART THIS WORLD” yelled Dark. Palkia and Dilga cried out, their power activating despite their protests. 

“RAIN HELL” yelled Dark before Blue punched him in the face. Multiple portals opened across the world, and meteors fell through them. 

“NO” yelled Ash as he charged Dark, only to get swatted away. 

“You lose” said Dark, before he was grabbed by the Meowth Meck which then flew into the sky. 

“Teal, Orange. With me” called out Lillie as she ran over to the Legendary Pokemon. The three of them held hands and closed their eyes, focusing their energy. 

“Lake Trio, help us” they said together. The three Pokemon answered their call.

“NO” yelled Dark as he freed himself by tearing apart the Meck. Him and Team Rocket started to fall to the ground. 

“Red, with me” exclaimed Blue. They jumped up and caught the TRio right before Dark landed, a wave of black aura erupting from where he landed. The aura was so powerful it knocked everyone back, even Palkia and Dilga. But Dark struggled to stand up again.

“This, isn't, over” he said as he tried to catch his breath. Ash and Blue struggled, but walked up to him. 

“Red, this is it” said Blue as his aura covered his arms.

“I know. We have to hold him off” said Ash as his aura covered his fist. 

I wanna be, the very best. Like no one ever was. 

“YOU DIE HERE” yelled Dark as he blasted Blue with his aura. However, Blue was pushing back.

“We won't give up” said Ash as he ran at Dark, only to get grabbed by the neck. 

To catch them all is my real test. To train them is my cause

“Then you'll just die a failure” said Dark as he choked Ash, only to get punched in the gut by Blue. 

“EAT THIS” yelled Blue as he punched Dark in the face. Dark went flying back, but got right back up.

I will travel across the land, searching far and wide

The two sides charged at each other. Dark ducked under a punch from Blue before getting kicked by Ash. Dark then grabbed Ash and threw him into Blue. 

Teach Pokemon to understand, the power that's inside 

Before Dark could launch at Blue and Ash, he was tackled by Kukui.

“Get off me” exclaimed Dark as he threw Kukui off. The older man just got up again and circled Dark.

Pokemon, gotta catch them all. It's you and me. I know it's my destiny

“You failed me in my world. I'm sure you failed this Ash too” said Dark as he tried to blast Kukui, but the man dodged it. 

Pokemon, oh you're my best friend. In a world we must defend

“There's no such thing as a perfect mentor,” said Kukui before Blue jumped back into the action.

Heart so true. Our courage will pull us through 

“My Kukui made me who I am,” said Blue as he dodged an attack from Dark before taking out his legs. 

You teach me and I'll teach you. Pokemon, gotta catch them all. Gotta catch them all

“Let me guess, you were trained by Kukui and Bea,” said Dark as he flipped back up. But when he landed, he was kicked in the back by Ash.

“You're right,” said Blue as he, Kukui and Ash circled him.

Every challenge along the way. With courage I will face

“DIE” yelled Dark as power erupted from him, knocking them over. 

I will battle every day, to claim my rightful place 

Ash was first to recover and he charged at Dark yet again. 

“Weak” said Dark as he grabbed Ash's arm and snapped it over his leg.

Come with me, the time is right. There's no better team

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH” yelled Ash in pain as he stumbled away.

“NO” yelled Blue as he tackled Dark. 

Arm and arm, we'll win the fight. It's always been our dream 

“Twerp, you'll be ok” said Jessie as she held him.

“I got you buddy” said James as he put Ash's arm into a sling. 

“This isn't over” said Meowth, making Ash smile through the pain. 

Pokemon, gotta catch them all. It's you and me. I know it's my destiny

As Blue used his aura and strength to hold Dark down, Orange, Ashley and Lillie got up with the Lake Trio. 

Pokemon, oh you're my best friend. In a world we must defend

“Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf. Take hold of our hearts and free Palkia and Dilga” the three of them said. A powerful glow escaped from the Lake Trio that encased Palkia and Dilga. 

Heart so true. Our courage will pull us through 

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO” yelled Dark as the chain faded.

You teach me and I'll teach you. Pokemon, gotta catch them all. Gotta catch them all

The two grand Pokemon fell to the ground, making everything shake. The sky above returned to normal. 

“AAAARRRRRRRRRR” bellowed Dark in rage as he blasted Blue off of him. 

Gotta catch them all. Gotta catch them all. Gotta catch them all

“DIE” yelled Dark as he charged at Lillie and grabbed her neck. 

“Let's see how easy you snap,” said Dark as he got ready to snap her neck. 

“NOOOO” yelled Ashley as she punched at Dark. When her fist landed, it was covered in aura. Dark went flying back and dropped Lillie.

“You have aura” said Lillie with a smile as she gasped for air.

“I couldn't lose you again” said Ashley as she hugged her. 

Pokemon, gotta catch them all. It's you and me. I know it's my destiny

Dark stood up. Despite his power, he was struggling. But his hate was too strong for him to die yet. 

“I won't stop until I've killed EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU” he said before launching himself at Blue.

Pokemon, oh you're my best friend. In a world we must defend

“BLUE” exclaimed Orange as Dark punched him in the face, knocking him back and out cold.

“OUT OF MY WAY” yelled Dark as he knocked away the TRio and Kukui to get to Ash.

A heart so true. Our courage will pull us through 

“It's over” said Dark as he stood over Ash. But Ash just smirked.

“It's never over,” said Ash.

You teach me and I'll teach you. Pokemon, gotta catch them all. Gotta catch them all 

“THUNDERBOLT” yelled Ash. 

“CHUUUUUU” yelled Pikachu as he jumped up and unleashed a powerful blast. Dark made a shield, but Pikachu broke through.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH” he yelled in pain.

“IT'S OVER” yelled Ash as charged forward with aura in his good hand. He landed a mighty punch to Dark's stomach. This sent Dark flying back into one of the pillars. 

“No. Impossible. I had all the power” said Dark as he was unable to stand. 

“Power is useless without the wisdom to use it” said Lillie as she walked over to him. 

“Or the courage to fight” said Ash as he, Dark and Lillie stood in a triangle. 

“I refuse to accept this,” said Dark as he tried to stand up. But someone else stood up instead. The very Pokemon he tried to use. 

“You lost” said Ash as Dark was grabbed by an enraged Palkia. 

“NO” exclaimed Dark as Palkia and Dilga nodded to Ash and Lillie. 

“NOOOOOOOOOOOO” yelled Dark as he was taken away. The day was won. The world is alive. 

Chapter Text

Chapter 11: Heal The World

The heroes descended the mountain until they saw Green and Yellow guarding Black. The other Pokemon were awake, although barely. But they all looked sad.

“Did you win” asked Black as he laid against a rock. 

“Yes,” said Ash with pride. A weak but joyous smile pulled onto Black's lips.

“Thank you. Thank you so much” he said as he choked.

“Black, are you ok?” exclaimed Ashley as the Ash's ran over. The TRio hung their heads as Kukui held Lillie. 

“I'm not going to lie, I'm not. I guess this is where it ends” said Black, making Ashley gasp. Yellow and Green were crying as they looked away.

“No. Boss, you have to fight through” exclaimed Ashley as she took his hand.

“It's ok. Really, it's ok. After all this time, I can finally reunite with my Lillie” said Black as he held Ashley’s hand. Blue rested a hand on Ashley’s shoulder as Orange and Ash quietly cried.

“Blue, I leave in charge of the League of Ash. To be fair, you were always destined to lead” said Black. Blue nodded, but a tear did fall. 

“I won't let you down,” said Blue. 

“I have one last order for you. Go home. My mission, it took you away from your friends and family. And for that I'm sorry” said Black.

“We don't regret it,” said Orange.

“Thank you for being with me. Thank you for being my friend” said Black as his Pikachu curled up on his chest. Rayquaza bowed its head to its master, something all the other Pokemon did as well. Ashley hugged Blue and cried into his chest. 

“Red, Rayquaza is yours. You are the best of us. Show your world that” he said before he closed his eyes.

“Lillie. I can't wait to see you again” is the last thing that Black said before life left his body. Everyone stood in silence, save the sobs from Ashley. 

“Teal, it's ok. This is what he wanted. To pass on after Dark was defeated” said Blue. 

“Pika pika” Black's Pikachu said sadly as it cried into its master's unmoving chest. 

“Don't worry, we got you” said Green as Yellow picked up the mouse. 

“I know someone who will take good care of you,” said Yellow. 

“Come on. Let's lay him to rest” said Blue as he looked Ashley in the eyes. She wiped her tears and nodded. 

When they returned to the base of the mountain, Ash turned to his other selves.

“Thank you. If it wasn't for you guys, my world would have been destroyed” he said. This made the others smile.

“Of course we'd help. You're one of us” said Orange.

“Yeah. And if you need us, we'll be there in a heartbeat” said Ashley. Blue rested a hand on Ash’s shoulder.

“Red, you are special. Hold on to your heart, and you'll surpass us all” said Blue. Ash smiled and the two hugged. Soon, the other Ash's joined in the hug. Once they broke apart, Ash turned to the TRio. 

“Thanks guys. I guess I never realized that whenever I really needed you, you were always there” he said.

“Of course twerp” said Jessie.

“We can't let you have all the fun,” said Meowth. Ash held out his hand, but James pulled him into a hug.

“We'll always be there for you when things get bad,” he said. Once they broke apart, Ash went to Kukui.

“You don't have to thank me. I was just doing what any good mentor would do," said Kukui with a smile. Ash just hugged the man as tightly as he could.

“If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here” he said. Ash smiled and took a deep breath.

“Thanks dad,” he said quietly. Kukui heard this, and his smile grew. Finally, Ash turned to Lillie. But Lillie couldn't meet his eyes.

“Ash, I'm sorry” she said. This confused the boy.

“Why are you apologizing?” he asked.

“I lied to you. I didn't tell you my whole plan. But I knew if I told you I was planning on getting captured, you wouldn't let me. I told Blue, but I couldn't tell you” she said. But she wasn't expecting Ash to take her hand.

“I kinda figured it out,” he said, making her look at him.

“Lillie, thank you for standing by my side for this,” he said. This made her blush.

“O-of course. Th-that’s what friends are for” she said, making Ash chuckle. 

“Yeah. But maybe one day, one day soon, we could be more than friends” he said, making her cheeks even more red. Before she could say anything, he kissed her forehead. This made her basically turn to jelly. 

“Jessica here, reporting live from the Sinnoh region. We have a very special guest who has a very special announcement” said Jessie before Ash walked into the shot. 

“Everyone, I have very good news. We won. It wasn't easy, and there were some losses, but we won. The world is safe” said Ash. Around the world, everyone cheered.

“But even though we won, I know there is damage. But don't despair. Together, we can rebuild the world. Together, we can come out of this stronger. We are one world, one massive group of friends. Stand together, and we can do this” 

Chapter Text

Chapter 12: Where Everyone Is Now

On Mt Coronet, a single gravestone sat. The gravestone for Black, a hero and leader who gave everything he had to protect a world that wasn't his. 

“This little guy has been through a lot. Do you think you can help him” said Yellow as he held out Black's Pikachu. A girl took the Pokemon into her arms.

“Of course,” said Liko as she hugged the Pikachu. 

Green sat alone at a table. At least, he was alone.

“You ok” asked Dawn as she sat next to him.

“I am now,” he said as they shared a kiss. 

Orange and Serena were holding hands as they stood in front of prison doors.

“Are you sure about this?” she asked him.

“Yes,” he said as he squeezed her hand. The officer opened the door, and the two saw Bonnie sitting alone, looking blankly ahead.

“Bonnie, we're here,” said Orange. Bonnie's eyes slowly met theirs, and a tiny smile pulled onto her lips. 

Ashley wrapped an arm around Gladion.

“You are just the sweetest little thing” she said as she messed with his hair.

“Hey, cut it out,” he complained. 

“Go easy on the kid” said Issac as he walked up to them. Ashley turned around and her eyes turned into hearts.

“ISSAC” she squealed, damaging any and all nearby ears. 

Blue sat on a bed as Misty wrapped a bandage around him.

“You really are an idiot,” she said with a fond sternness. 

“I know, but I'm your idiot,” he said as he wrapped his arms around her, making her giggle.

“And don't you forget it” she said before they kissed.

Kukui walked in the door with a bag of food.

“Honey I'm home” he called out, making Burnett giggle.

“Good, I'm starving” she said as she held their baby. Kukui kissed her before kissing the cheek of their son.

The TRio were in their balloon, looking over the Paldea region.

“Wherever the twerp goes,” said Jessie.

“We go” said James.

“As both friends and enemies” said Meowth.

Ash and Lillie were both running through the fields of Paldea.

“Ash, wait up” called out Lillie. Ash stopped just in time for a hug.

“Thanks for inviting me to come with you” she said.

“Of course. I'd love to spend more time with you” he said as he took her hand. She rested her head on his shoulder.

“Same here,” she said. What neither of them expected was to see a dragon like Pokemon fly by and crash on the beach. The two locked eyes, and smiled. 

Another adventure awaits.
