Work Text:
Hearing the bell ring, Natasha greeted the stranger without turning, “Welcome. If you could just wait a moment, that’d be greatly appreciated.”
Right now she was occupied with signing a few documents. After Belobog was saved by the Nameless, several clinics above had reached out to her. Something about wanting her to move above ground.
“Now, now, Natasha. I don’t think I’m injured.” Stelle whispered into her ear, grasping both of Natasha’s shoulders from behind and leaning in.
“By Qlipoth.. Stelle. Must you always do that?”
Natasha was blushing. Very obviously so. She was covering her face with one of her hands.
“Yes, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t tease from time to time.” Stelle exclaimed in a rather jokingly tone, leaning unto Natasha’s desk and flashing a smile.
“Seems so.. are you here for anything? Or do you just want to take my time?” Natasha had made it very clear she wouldn’t be opposed to spending time with Stelle, but she couldn’t possibly take any time away from the care of her patients.
“I just wanted to see how you were doing. Seele tells me your clinics always being overwhelmed with patients?”
With a sigh, Natasha replied, “Yes.. it’s been stressful but at least I have my nurses and some volunteers here every so often. Todays been rather bland though...”
Lost in thought, Natasha quirked an eyebrow up and decided to suggest something.
“How about we head to that new cafe that opened near the museum in the over-world? If you wish, of course”
“Oh Nat, How could I say no an outing with you?” Stelle replied reaching out to Natasha, tugging her hand, she took her out.
Upon hearing the nickname, Natasha became flustered and faced away, cupping her cheeks as she was being whisked away.
“Yes, of course.. Why don’t we take a.. uhm.. I seem to have forgotten…”
“A space anchor?”
“Yes.. Thank you”
Smiling, Stelle had done just that.

After arriving at the plaza, Natasha had guided them to where the new cafe was.
“I’ll go order, Stelle. Go find a spot for us.”
“I haven’t even told you my order?”
“I think I know you well enough now to know just what you like.” Replied Natasha. She was right though. With so many errands, It’d be impossible not to want to know more about the other person.
Nodding, Stelle walked off to find somewhere nice and cozy to settle down. A little while later, Natasha came with drinks in hand.
“I can pay you back, if you’d like. It seems a bit pricey here.” Worried Stelle. The place did seem a little more done up than others.
“Nonsense, I suggested going out so.. Enjoy it,” Natasha replied. “Treat it as a small thanks among many more for your help.”
With a simple hum, Stelle decided to her speak her mind. “So, why’s the clinic been having an increase of patients lately?”
“The vagrants have been getting a bit too confident. That’s what a few of the miners have been telling me.”
“Really?”
“Yes, Seele should’ve told you. Did she not?”
“No..”
“Seems she was a bit occupied then.” Natasha said with a not so sly wink.
“With what, I’ve no idea.” Stelle said, she absolutely did know though. They continued on with this back’n’forth until Natasha had gotten a call from a nurse that was left at the clinic.
“I have to return to the clinic now, Stelle. Accompany me?” With an exasperated sigh, Natasha got up. She offered her hand to Stelle.
“Of course.” Taking Natasha’s hand, she took her down via space anchor.
“Come back whenever, Stelle. Please, wildfire is here for you. We-.. I miss you..”
“I’ll be sure to come back often, then. I miss you too. Bye Nat.” Stelle said with a wave before returning to the express.
