Chapter 1: Morning Routine

Chapter Text

Izuku rolled his eyes, as the low ranking alpha criminal begged for his life. Izuku just sliced the neck of the criminal with no hesitation. Izuku walked away, coldly.

When Izuku quietly snuck back inside his apartment early that morning, he simply hid his knives and other weapons. Izuku took off his outfit and ran the washing machine in the other room. He took a shower, got dressed, and headed off to school. He texted his mom that he would get his clothes from the washer this afternoon and not to worry about it when she woke up for work later that morning. If you didn’t already pick up on it, Izuku has a double life.

By day, he is a fun loving quirkless omega who goes to the local college and works at the corner cafe just down the block. A single omega that had beauty that could rival most other omegas. His forest scent was a rare earth scent instead of one that smelled of an artificially made object like candy or perfume. His scent smelled like a pine forest.

By night, however, he was ‘The Hunter’. An alpha with an unknown quirk and an assassin that targets organized crime. He works for hire, but only targets criminals. And he’s rich. Not that his mom knows where his funds come from. He would never let her see THAT side of him. But you’re probably curious as to WHY a quirkless omega would put himself at risk by targeting criminals and groups like the Yakuzas a.k.a. Japanese mafia families.

Well, Izuku had a reason. His father was killed by the mafia. Inko had no idea, but Hisashi Midoriya, a.k.a. The pro hero Dragon Fire. He was investigating the Chikara Yakuza, Said to be run by the most powerful Mafia family. The Bakugous…

Katsuki woke up to the servants rushing around. The blonde 18 year old alpha growled, as he was woken up by his best and really only friend- Ejirio Kirishima- or as Katsuki called him ‘Shitty Hair’. The Kirishima family had been the Bakugou’s right hand men and women for generations.

So Katsuki and Ejirio grew up together as close friends. When both their quirks showed, they had perfect quirks for their predetermined futures. Katsuki being the head of the Bakugou Family. Ejirio as the blonde’s right hand.

Ejirio’s hardening quirk was perfect to help with interrogations with Katsuki’s explosion quirk. If they were torturing a traitor or something, Ejirio’s quirk allows him to hold the traitor without being harmed by Katsuki’s quirk. While Katsuki could torture the traitor without needed tools which could leave finger prints or other DNA evidence.

Whatever, Kirishima helped Katsuki get ready. He had a blood red formal T-shirt, which he wore under a black dress jacket. Katsuki always wore both unbuttoned to show off his toned chest. Katsuki put on his black slacks and black shoes. He grabbed his red tie, which he never actually tied. Instead, he wore it around his neck, like one would wear a tower over their shoulders after swimming.

Katsuki brushed his teeth and brushed out the tangles in his spiky ash blonde hair. He put on his black fingerless gloves and headed out for the day. Last night, his old hag had requested that he meet her and his old man in the breakfast hall of their manor this morning. Katsuki stormed into the hallway, Kirishima right behind him. The two walked into the breakfast room and saw Emira Kirishima, Ejirio’s mother, helping Mitsuki with some paperwork and files.

“HAG! I’m here,” Katsuki rudely, sitting down on one of the chairs ruffly. “The fuck do you want?”

“Katsuki!” Mitsuki seemed startled by her son’s introduction. “Don’t sneak up on me like that brat!” Mitsuki took a breath- “Ejirio, Emira, leave us.”

“Yes ma’am!” Both Kirishima’s bowed and left the room.

“Listen brat, me and your father are gonna retire soon. Which means you’ll be taking over.”

“Yeah, I know that,” Katsuki huffed. “You’ve been fucking telling me that since I was a pup!”

“Yes, well speaking of pups…” Katsuki seemed to connect the dots-

“Fuck no! I’m not getting some omega!? Those weak ass bitches aren’t worth anything!”

“KATSUKI!” Mitsuki growled, using her alpha voice to calm her kin. “Your father is an omega!”

“So?! He doesn’t DO anything in relation to the mafia or us, just sits in his office listening all day and fucking you all night! Hag!”

“You will respect him, brat! Or I will have your sister be our heir!!!”

“That beta bitch! Himiko has no chance of taking my place as fucking heir!”

“Then, don’t disrespect your father, brat!”

“Fucking fine!” Katsuki growled, as the maid’s brought their food and quickly left. “Let’s just get this stupid fucking conversation over with!”

“You need to find a mate if you wanna be the leader of our mafia, because you will need your own heir one day!”

“Fine, what the fuck did you have in mind?”

“I will send out some of our low ranking members to find you some omegas to choose from. You will meet them tomorrow. Understand?”

“Fucking fine!” Katsuki started to eat, as his younger sister Himiko, an annoying 16 year old beta, walked in for breakfast. Her quirk was perfect for undercover ops and she was sent out often to take out minor threats to their mafia.

“Hi mom!”

“Hey, sweetly. I have a mission for you!”

“Ok!”

That night, Izuku finally found someone who knew something worthwhile. Izuku smirked, devilishly under his mask, but something must have shown in his eye, because the underling gulped nervously. ‘The Hunter’ could make ANYONE talk-

“H-here’s their h-home!” The thug said, clearly traumatized by Izuku’s… interrogation… “Just- don’t h-hurt me anymore!”

“Thank you,” Izuku had a creepy smile. “Unfortunately, you work for a mafia boss…” Izuku laughed sadistically, as the look of minor fear turned to absolute horror. “And I’ve never spared anyone before.”

“But I- I- gave you the i-info!”

“Hmm,” Izuku hummed thoughtfully. “I never said I’d let you live, I just said I’d end your suffering.” Izuku finished the job and looked down at the piece of paper in his hands and said darkly- “I’m coming for you Bakugou. Better be ready to pay for what you did...”

Chapter 2: The Party

Summary:

Izuku infiltrates the Chikara Mafia mating party.

Chapter Text

“Hey mom,” Izuku was eating dinner with his mom. “I’ll be going on a trip with my class for a few weeks, so I won’t be coming home like I normally do every night!”

“Oh ok, sweetie,” Inko said, happily. “I hope you have fun on your trip!”

“Oh, I will!” Izuku said, hiding a smirk by taking a bite of his food.

That night, Izuku packed supplies. The Bakugou family lived on the other side of Japan. It would take a while for Izuku to confirm if the information he received was true or not. Izuku would have to take out the family all in one night. And quickly too. If even one of their bodies was found before he was finished he wouldn’t get out of their manor alive or with at least his identity intact. But Izuku was better than that.

He never lost or failed before. And he wouldn’t fail this mission. This was for his father. This was for all the innocents hurt or manipulated by this evil family. This would be the Bakugou family’s end and Izuku would be the one to bring them to their end.

Their actions created ‘The Hunter’, so it was only fitting that ‘The Hunter’ would bring them to their end. Izuku swore one day he would bring their family down. He would finish what his father had started. He would. take. THEM! OUT!!! One way or another…

Katsuki growled. As he stood next to his mother who was in the main hall of their manor. Katsuki would be meeting the potential omegas tonight at a party, but for now they had to organize said gathering. Ejirio and Emira were standing at their sides. As the boss and heir, it was their job to address issues with the Chikara Mafia. And currently many high ranking members of their mafia have gone missing and many were found dead.

Despite the many connections that the Bakugou family had, none could confirm who killed their loyal men and women. Mitsuki was furious, giving her connections mere weeks before ‘making an example’ out of them. But there was just nothing to go, the stress of an angry alpha mafia leader didn’t help much with the search for clues as to who had the guts to mess with her mafia.

Katsuki rolled his eyes, these extras were useless. How can someone get away with so many murders? It was clear it was one person. That was the only thing they knew. How could none of these idiots, not even their pay off in the police force, not know anything!?

That night, at the party. Which Izuku had learned about through some… questionable means… The green haired boy had stolen an invite from one of the thugs he killed, who had green eyes and black hair. Convenient, if you asked Izuku, but not unwelcome.

Izuku had bought some black hair dye and a formal suit. As well as wearing his normal face mask, scent patches, and combat boots he wore with his vigilante costume. Izuku showed the invite to the guard who let him in without a second glance. Izuku smirked, as he walked around the party.

He noticed something that made him sick. The scent of distressed omegas. Likely kidnapped to be forced to potentially mate with the heir of the Bakugou family, Katsuki Bakugou. That’s the whole reason this party was happening anyway. To find that mafia brat a mate. Just sickening.

Izuku silently made his way through the room and the crowd. Looking for the cups that were to be given to the head family. Izuku had the odorless salt-like poison in his pocket. His plan was simple. Figure which cups were for the Bakugous, intercept them, poison the drinks and leave the party before anyone was the wiser.

He thought about staying to confirm their deaths, but decided against it. The poison was fast-acting. They’d be dead within 15 minutes of drinking it, giving plenty of time for the rest of the unsuspecting family to drink the poison. And with their influence, their death will be shown on the news tomorrow at the latest.

Izuku saw it. The table where the dinner would be held after Katsuki chose his bride. Izuku felt bad for his fellow omegas. They were kidnapped and forced to possibly mate with a mafia boss. But once the Bakugou family were dead, the omegas would be freed.

Izuku knew that he couldn't save everyone. That was just a fact of the world. People get hurt, they die, not even ruthless vigilantes like ‘The Hunter’ could change that. Izuku sometimes wished he could. But he would help more people in the long run, but stopping this crime family.

Izuku walked around causally, looking at the tableware, almost as if he was looking for his seat with the name of the thug he couldn’t remember. Izuku walked, calmly, up to the cup which was empty and quietly cursed. Of course they wouldn’t be filled yet. He couldn’t just put the poison in the main pitcher, the omega chosen by Katsuki would also have a drink from it and Izuku made a promise to never be the reason an innocent was hurt.

Even if one innocent for the entire mafia would be ‘for the greater good’ or some other pro hero nonsense, Izuku would NEVER intentionally cause harm to an innocent person, much less a fellow omega. Izuku had to come up with another plan and fast. Izuku looked at his invitation again, looking at the name of the thug.

Izuku walked around mingling with the other guest, waiting for the omegas to be brought before the head of the mafia, Mitsuki Bakugou and her son. He would wait until everyone went to the dining room and Izuku would poison the drinks while they weren’t looking. So, he did just that. He waited for the right moment.

Chapter Text

Katsuki senses have always been strong. His senses became even stronger when he presented as an alpha. Katsuki hated the scent of most omegas, his old man included. He preferred alphas and betas. Betas, like Mina, Ejirio’s mate, didn’t have strong scents and alphas were strong.

Alphas and betas were worth his time, omegas weren’t. Katsuki growled at every omega. They were all one of three things, scared, horny, or a gold digger. Katsuki didn’t like any of them. Katsuki was trained from a young age to notice every little detail. So, it didn’t take long to notice a suspicious guy walking around a little too directly. Like he wasn’t just here for the party.

Katsuki ignored his old hag, as he followed the guy into the dining room. Katsuki growled, quietly as he saw the suspicious guy seemed annoyed that the cups weren’t filled yet. Was he thirsty? Why didn’t he just get a drink at the party favor table? Why was he at Katsuki’s mom's seat?

Katsuki followed after him, but noticed something fall out of the guy’s pocket. Katsuki picked it up. Katsuki looked at the packet, his eyes widened-

“Poison…” Katsuki muttered, running to his mom, showing her the packet. Mitsuki growled angrily.

“Who dares to bring this to our party.”

“Shitty hair! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE NOW!!!” Katsuki growled. The other 18 year old walked up-

“What’s up, Baku-bro?”

“Look,” Katsuki showed the poison packet. Kirishima’s eyes widened. Katsuki gave the young Kirishima the suspicious guy’s description. “Find him.”

“Yes sir!” Kirishima nodded, firmly. Quickly, Kirishima searched the party, letting any guard he saw know about the intruder.

Izuku cursed, when he realized the poison had fallen out of his pocket and his temporary hair dye was starting to fade from his hair, he scanned the ground for the small white square-shaped packet. Maybe that was why he didn’t noticed the redheaded alpha come up and grab him-

“You’re coming with me, sir,” The red head stated. Izuku’s eyes widened as he recognized the man in front of him. Realizing that someone probably found his packet he immediately jumped to action-

“I don’t think so,” Izuku nailed the alpha in the nose. A weak point for most people, but especially secondary genders with strong scenes. A.k.a. alphas and omegas.

Kirishima rubbed his now broken nose, but before Izuku could get away, a pink haired beta grabbed him from behind. And she was strong. Even for Izuku. Izuku was restrained by the alien-like human. The redheaded male and pink skinned girl dragged Izuku in front of the two blonde haired Bakugous. Izuku growled defensively. Katsuki stood next to his mother, who stared down the young omega-

“You have some nerve trying to poison us.”

“Fuck off, bitch!” Izuku growled without fear. “You have no idea who I am or why I’ve been after you for years. But trust me, I will be your death!”

“Take off his mask and scent patches,” Izuku’s eyes widened, as his struggle started anew.

Katsuki didn’t know why the intruder was so against removing his scent patches until the smell of an angry and fearful OMEGA hit his senses. Katsuki was shocked. He’d never met an omega like this one. Katsuki smirked-

“So, an omega hun?” Katsuki got down in the green haired intruder’s face.

“Back off, you spoiled brat!” Izuku reared his head back, slamming it into Katsuki’s forehead.

“FUCK!!! HOW DARE YOU! YOU FUCKING OMEGA!!!” Katsuki growled, but he was also intrigued. This omega was different from the others. “Hag!”

“What, brat?” Mitsuki questioned, angered by the omega’s audacity.

“You said I have to choose an omega from the ones brought before me right?” Katsuki had a wicked smirk.

“Yes, so what?” Mitsuki crossed her arms, standing over the forest green colored omega.

“I think I like this one,” That stunned the whole room into silence.

Izuku was shocked. How dare this alpha and how stupid of him too. Izuku just got caught trying to POISON them, why would they even consider keeping him alive. But Izuku thought the idea of being this alpha’s mate much more terrifying than death. Izuku didn’t want to leave his mom. But he just couldn’t accept the idea of mating with such a bastard, so he said the first thing that came to mind-

“You do realize how fucking stupid that is right?” Izuku mocked the alpha proudly. “I’ve killed hundreds, maybe even thousands, of your followers, and I just tried to poison you! How do you know I won’t just try and kill you bastards in your sleep first chance I get?!”

“Because if you try you’ll end up dead,” Katsuki said smugly.

“I don’t fear death! If I did I wouldn’t have messed with you or your followers in the first place. Kill me I dare you! It’s better than mating with you!” Izuku shouted, with a defensive growl. Katsuki smirked-

“Too bad,” Katsuki stood over him. “I get whatever I want!”

“People aren’t objects. You don’t get to treat humans like you can own them! I’d rather go to hell! And I’ll bring you with me!”

Izuku burst out of the two guards holding him and pulled out a dagger he always kept in his sleeves. His target was Katsuki’s neck and he would have sliced the neck if Katsuki hadn’t done something Izuku hated. He used his alpha voice. Which can control other dynamics and even some other alphas. Izuku, as an omega, biologically couldn’t fight the command-

Stop, omega!” Izuku froze, growling like an angry savage animal. “Bare your neck.” Izuku tried to fight it, but his omega was in control and obeyed. Katsuki bit Izuku’s neck scent glands, a mating mark appeared. “Take him to my room, and keep him there.”

“Yes sir,” The two guards nodded and dragged Izuku away.

“LET ME GO!!!” Izuku growled, snapping his small fangs at the guards. The pink skinned girl opened the door in front of Izuku and the redhead threw Izuku in, closing the door and locking it behind him. Izuku growled, as he punched the door angrily. “I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!”

Chapter 4: Hallway Chase

Summary:

Izuku makes a run for it, Katsuki chases after him.

Chapter Text

Izuku looked around the room he was so rudely shoved into. He had calmed down by now, but his anger was replaced with fear. He shouldn’t have come to this party. He shouldn’t have let his anger guide him. He should have just left when he found the cups empty or when he lost the poison.

Izuku walked around the giant room. It had a tall ceiling. At least 25 meters tall. The walls were a dull white. The curtains that covered floor to ceiling windows were orange with green trim on the bottom and top. The bed was king sized and had orange bed sheets with green pillow covers. Izuku saw a computer on an old brown desk in the corner. A TV on a table in front of the bed. Izuku rolled his eyes-

‘What’s with this guy and the colors orange and green?’

Izuku tried to open the windows that lead to a large balcony. They were locked. Izuku tried breaking the windows, but it was bulletproof glass. No way would he be able to break the window without any of his weapons or tools, which had been taken from him after he tried slicing the neck of that brat.

Izuku cursed. He had to find a way out of here. Who knows what that brat would do to him once he got done with his mafia work for the day. It was then Izuku noticed two doors on one wall. Likely, a closet and a bathroom. Izuku opened one of the doors.

He was looking for the closet. If this was a mafia family’s house. Then, there was a chance a gun or knife or some other weapon might be hidden there. But the door he opened was the bathroom. Before Izuku could even close the door, he heard the main door to the hallway unlock.

Thinking fast, Izuku locked himself in the bathroom. Izuku heard the alpha walk around the bedroom. Izuku happened to glance at his reflection in the mirror. He saw the silver scar, that showed that an omega was mated, on his neck. Izuku’s fear turned back to rage. He never wanted to mate. He just wanted to be left alone and stop crime.

The worst part, his mom won’t notice his disappearance until after a few weeks from now, due to his excuse… This was bad. Izuku growled quietly, as he heard the door to the closet open. Izuku knew Katsuki would come to the bathroom door next, so he searched the cabinets for anything he could use as a weapon. He found a metal bottle, likely hair spray.

Izuku held onto it, the door opened inwards, so Izuku stayed back, ready to fight as soon as the door swung open. When the door opened, Izuku growled as he swung at the alpha, who he nailed across the jaw, likely breaking it. Izuku took off running and ran out the unlocked bedroom door.

When Katsuki entered his room, he expected to be attacked, but was shocked to see his omega was gone. He checked the windows. They were still locked and weren’t broken. Which meant the green haired omega was hiding.

Not something Katsuki expected from the bold omega. But biology was biology. Katsuki was wrong to get his hopes up, but it was too late now. Katsuki walked around looking under the bed and desk, behind the curtains, and in the closet. He didn’t find the omega. Which only left one area, the bathroom.

Katsuki opened the door. Katsuki was nailed across the jaw by something hard and made of metal. Katsuki was knocked to the ground, as he heard the omega run out the door. Katsuki’s jaw was fine, but sore. He knew his strong alpha genes were the only reason his jaw wasn’t broken by the hit.

Katsuki ran after the bold omega, his alpha thrilled by chase. Katsuki could stop the chase with his alpha voice, but Katsuki hadn’t had this much fun in a while. Katsuki followed the omega, purposely not running at full speed. Even though the omega was still slightly faster than Katsuki expected, if Katsuki ran at full speed, he would easily overtake the other 18 year old.

As soon as Izuku took off running down the hall, he didn’t look back. He kept running at full speed. He was looking for an exit. He couldn’t find the place he had entered during the party and planned to leave the night prior. Izuku tried not to get lost as he ran around the hallway. He ran left, then right, then right again. He tried to keep track of each turn. Izuku was so angry, scared, and confused. He just wanted to leave this place. He didn’t want to know what Katsuki had planned for him. So he ran.

Katsuki finally got fed up with the long chase and went full speed, tackling the green haired omega quickly. The omega’s breathing picked up, showing how he clearly didn’t realize how fast Katsuki could catch up to him. The omega was lying on his back. Katsuki had his arms pinned above his head with one hand. And was sitting on his legs, keeping him from kicking the blonde off of him.

“Thanks for showing me you aren’t all talk, Omega,” Katsuki laughed, as Izuku growled at him. “Glad to see you still have some fight in you. But I just realized… I never got your name? What is it.” Katsuki said the last question, with a more serious tone and more like a demand than a question.

“Call me ‘The Hunter’,” Izuku hissed. “That’s the only name you’ll know. The name that will kill you.”

Tell me your REAL name ,” Katsuki said in his alpha voice, with a dark look in his eye. Izuku struggled to defy the command, but couldn’t fight his biology-

“Midoriya I-Izuku,” Izuku growled out.

“Thanks, Izuku.”

“Don’t call me that! It’s ‘The Hunter’ to you bastard!!!”

What’s your quirk ?”

“I-I’m quirkless…”

“I didn’t think I’d be so lucky.”

“Fuck off!” Izuku hissed. It was common knowledge that if a quirkless person had a pup with a quirk user the pup would have a guarantee of having the quirk user’s quirk. “Let me go!” Katsuki dragged Izuku back to his bedroom, threw him onto the blonde's bed, and crawled on top of the omega. Who was laying on his back-

"Let's have some fun, Izuku...”

Chapter Text

The next morning, Izuku felt sick. He would rather not remember the night before. Katsuki had… done something horrible to him. Izuku was in the bathroom throwing up. He didn’t even notice Katsuki walk out into the hallway to do what he does everyday. Izuku jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Izuku had finally stopped throwing up and noticed a brown haired omega man looking at him with a comforting smile. His smile reminded Izuku of his own mother.

“M-Mr. Bakugou!?” Izuku recognized the man as Mitsuki’s mate.

“Yes?”

“I- uh…” Izuku didn’t know what to think about the fellow omega.

He’d been under the impression that the omega willingly chose to mate with Mitsuki, but his… experience with Katsuki proved that it was possible that Masaru was in the same situation as Izuku. Neither had a choice.

“Did you have a choice in mating with... Mitsuki Bakugou?” The older omega’s smile turned grim-

“I’m afraid not,” The man said, calmly. “But I’ve learned to live with it.”

“I won’t choose that!” Izuku growled. “I’m an assassin. A vigilante. I can’t just accept this!?”

“I think it’s too late for that,” The older omega handed the confused 18 year old a pregnancy test.

“No…” Izuku didn’t even want to think of that possibility.

“Just to make sure.”

“Fine! Get out!”

Izuku didn’t mean to snap at his fellow omega, but he was so used to using his anger as an outlet, that yelling was his first response to anything unfamiliar. That is… if he wasn’t pretending to be that perfect single college student omega. The older omega didn’t seem phased. Probably due to being around Mitsuki and Katsuki for so many years. Izuku just sighed, once he was alone in the bathroom. Izuku looked at the test and decided it was better to be sure, than constantly worry about such things.

A few minutes later, Izuku looked at the test and got angry. It was positive. That was it! He refused to accept this life. He would kill Katsuki if it was the last thing he ever did. Izuku walked to the closet and searched for a weapon of some kind. Izuku looked in every drawer, box, and self. He saw a gun. He had never used a gun, finding them too loud and too quick for his style of underground vigilante work. But that didn’t mean he never learned HOW to use them. Izuku checked to make sure it was loaded…

It was. Likely ready to use, in the case of a break in. Izuku smirked, he knew Katsuki was stupid, but this takes the cake. Keeping a LOADED gun in range of an assassin, that you are holding captive, is so fucking stupid!? What, was he so arrogant that he believed that just because Izuku didn’t use guns often, meant he didn’t know how to use one? So stupid, or maybe just arrogant, either way… He was dead. Izuku turned off the safety and waited for Katsuki to return to his room. As soon as Izuku heard the door unlock, Izuku put his finger on the trigger. When the door opened, Izuku fired.

Katsuki expected Izuku to try something like last time. So, he waited at the door listening to hear if the bathroom or closet door opened, but he didn’t hear a sound. It was suspicious. Katsuki unlocked the door slowly and got ready to fight. What he didn’t expect was to hear a gunshot and feel something rush by his head, making a small cut on his face.

Izuku cursed, of all the times to miss. But that’s what he gets for not expecting the amount of drawback from the impact of the shot. Izuku gulped as he saw the angry look in Katsuki’s eyes, but his face showed no fear-

“Stay there or else!” Izuku threatened.

“Or else what-” Katsuki took a step forward and Izuku shot his leg. “FUCK!!! Shitty hair-”

“Nope, say anything, I won’t miss your head a second time,” Izuku said, darkly, walking closer to make it more likely he would keep his word this time.

“Arg,” Katsuki growled in pain due to his injured leg, but Izuku could tell Katsuki knew he was serious. Izuku continued-

“Where’s the key to the window?” Izuku knew better than to try the hallways. They were too confusing, and Katsuki would call his followers as soon as the gun was no longer pointed at him. “Well? If you don’t tell me, I have no reason to keep you alive!”

“In my shirt pocket,” Katsuki growled. It was then Izuku noticed the small pocket in Katsuki’s formal shirt that he wore under his jacket. “Take it.”

Katsuki didn’t fear death. But he hated the idea of his beta sister taking his place as heir. Which he knew his old hag would do without question. Himiko was always her favorite, due to his quirk’s effectiveness in their line of work. Whatever, Katsuki wouldn’t die here. He could always track down Izuku after he escaped. Izuku took the key with one hand and kept the gun aimed at Katsuki’s head with the other.

“Stay there,” Katsuki rolled his eyes, but nodded. Izuku turned his back only for a second. Katsuki would have gone after him, but his leg was still injured and could barely move.

Izuku feared turning his back to the alpha, considering the last time he did that he had been tackled and then raped. He shuddered at the memory. Izuku opened the window and ran out onto the balcony.

Izuku saw the manor was in the middle of the forest. Izuku growled, he could see a road in the distance, and a garage. He climbed down the building, keeping the gun in his pocket. Izuku walked down the backyard pathway and to the garage.

He broke down the wooden door and found a bunch of expensive cars. He rolled his eyes, but found a car he knew how to drive, and got into it. He put the keys, which were sitting on the dashboard, into the ignition. Izuku sighed, as he pulled out of the garage, the green haired omega had a determined look on his face-

“Katsuki. You will pay! Just not today...”

Chapter 6: Loved Ones

Summary:

Izuku does what he can to protect his mom.

Notes:

A lot of POV shifts between Nedzu and Izuku in the chapter fair warning

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Izuku could facepalm, as he drove his stolen car into a city parking garage. One, he didn’t kill Katsuki. Which could ruin his reputation as ‘The Hunter’. And two, the Bakugou’s knew his name. By the time he gets home, they likely will have his mom with a gun to her head. But he couldn’t save her without telling her what happened. And the Bakugou's almost certainly had ties in the police force. He sighed, there was only one thing he could do…

Nedzu didn’t know who sent him a message on his private email, but they claimed a woman named Midoriya Inko was in danger and needed protection that even the police couldn’t give her. Nedzu put it together that whoever was after the woman likely had ties in the police force, if this mysterious contact was asking him instead of tipping off the police. The question was… did this woman know the danger she was in? A second email seemed to answer this question-

‘Principal Nedzu,
I understand if you’re confused, but knowing you I don’t have to explain much. It’s not the woman who’s the target. But her son. He was kidnapped a raped by Bakugou Katsuki. I know you can’t do anything without proof, but please protect this woman. You know, as well as I do, that the Chikara Mafia likely has ties with the police force. I trust you can keep her safe. She has no clue about her son and what happened to him, he’s keeping this a secret from her. But… can you really blame him? I will protect her son.
-The Hunter’

Nedzu tried to trace the email but the account had been made at a library that had broken security cameras for months now. And the account had been deleted not long after Nedzu received the email. Which meant Nedzu had no way of knowing who ‘The Hunter’ was. If he reached out to the police force, a leak could happen, and he could put this innocent woman in more danger than she’s already in. For now, Nedzu’s best bet was to trust that ‘The Hunter’ would contact him with needed information. Hopefully, Nedzu can negotiate the release of her son to UA custody, and soon.

After leaving the library Izuku destroyed his phone and his burner phone, to avoid being tracked. To avoid losing his scholarship and job, he decided it was best for ‘Midoriya Izuku’ to ‘go missing’. A missing person’s case might give information to the Bakugou’s, but at least it kept his civilian persona clean. He couldn’t live legally, any information the police had could easily be given to the Chikara mafia. He just hoped Nedzu would understand the urgency and protect his mother. Izuku made sure it looked as suspicious as possible; An old library on the edges of town, with no working CCTV and deleting the account mere minutes after it had been created? No one would go that far for a mere prank. And if they did, well, Nedzu would probably want to meet them for the sheer amount of planning and preparation it took to- Oh fuck…

“Let me get this straight… You want me to protect a random woman because some suspicious person- possibly prankster- said she might be targeted because her son got raped?!”

“Yes, that is correct.”

“While you track down this person to chat with them about- either- why they kept the son with them- or- why they would put so much effort into something as simple as pranking you?”

“I did specify ‘The Principal of UA High’... But yes, ‘you’ works fine I suppose.”

“You don’t even know if this is real or a prank.”

“Which is why you will watch her until I can confirm which it is. Oh and do watch out for any suspicious people. According to my sources…” Nedzu could HEAR Aizawa thinking- ‘Unreliable sources’- “The Chikara Mafia is after her.” That made Aizawa’s drop drop to the floor.

Izuku, in his Hunter outfit, walked into the shady bar- with confidence only gained by years of living, studying, and breathing, the underground- with an annoyed snarl on his face. Most times, in the past, when he would come here, he would posture like an alpha and have an- admittedly- intimidating frown or a mildly cocky smirk. Tonight he was off the rails, and that meant trouble for anyone dumb enough to cross him. He silently wondered if his new pup was the reason for this loosecannon style attitude tonight. Izuku always had a spare suit and weapons stashed somewhere in his side of town. In lock-boxes that only open to his scent specifically and made of the toughest metal or rock money can buy. You’d need money like the Bakugou’s had to buy a tool that could make a tiny dent in those lock-boxes. Luckily, they were also hidden and the only location where the lock-boxes were kept was in Izuku’s photographic memory. Speaking of that memory...

Up until a few days ago, he loved his photographic memory. It allowed him to keep up with his list of targets without a list laying around for his mother to find. He allowed him to remember the location of ALL his lock-boxes without a map. Allowed him to get around the dark back alleyways while tracking down targets without getting lost before and after the job was done. It allowed him to remember the face of his father even though he died when Izuku was very young. But now… Now he had a memory he wished he could forget. One that he knows will haunt him for the rest of his life. That day that left him with another mouth to feed and that mouth will be a descendant of the very thing he swore to destroy.

Izuku would never hurt an innocent person, this pup included, but the sick things that those families do to people. With this pup, he won’t be able to help anyone for years. How would he be able to live his double life if the one he’s hidden it from needed his full attention? It was hard enough to hide his double life from his mother, a woman who had other things going on to distract her from the face her son left way earlier in the morning than he should or that her son seemed to be able to pay for anything, despite supposedly being a single college student living at home, with a job that- if not for his mother- would have him living meal-to-meal and paycheck-to-paycheck. Izuku sighed. He could never go near his mom again for her safety. At least he did what he could to keep her safe.

Notes:

I reached my word quota too quickly, now you'll have to wait to see what Izuku's doing in a sketchy bar tonight. I know, I'm evil. But let me tell you something cool! I. don't. care. I like where this fic is going, and as for you guys, read or don't read. I don't care.

Chapter 7: Planning

Summary:

Izuku gets hired. Nedzu does research.

Notes:

5... thousand... 500... hits... 5,500 hits... How. the. fuck. did an omegaverse fic idea I came up with at 2 am in the middle of the night get THAT MANY HITS!? You know what I'm not gonna question it. Here's another chapter. It's been too long since the last update.

Chapter Text

Izuku sat at the bar and ordered a non-alcoholic drink. Yeah, yeah, he’s killed more people than he can count, has hacked the most classified government databases with the help of an ally, and tortured countless thugs, yet he draws the line at drinking? He doesn’t care for anything that can slow down his brain when that’s the very thing that made him such a good assassin. So, it’s not the drinking he hates, it’s the side effects of drinking that he hates. Izuku took a sip, and noticed the bartender had that look in his eye. A look Izuku recognized. Someone was looking to talk to ‘The Hunter’. Izuku quirked a brow and took a glance around the bar. A secret signal he set up with the workers here. He was willing to hear the person out. The bartender subtly nodded his head to the back right corner of the bar where a booth sat with a familiar face… Izuku walked over and slid into the seat across from the potential client-

“I hope you know that I don’t pay for meals with clients who meet me out of the blue.”

“Just shocked to see you out and about. Rumor is you were captured on your last mission. The Bakugou heir made a big deal out of conquering the most stubborn omega and breeding them.”

“You really believe those lies?”

“Not normally, but you going missing for a short while added some credibility. Also, I don’t think anyone would have truly believed you were an omega if there weren’t witnesses to prove it.”

“I’m not an omega,” Izuku said, calmly. Refusing to show any real reaction. “They have enough money to pay off anyone to say what they want them to. I’ll admit I failed an assassination attempt on them, but I left and went underground for a while. I never got caught. My guess is some loudmouth connected the dots for them.”

“Fair enough, as to why I’m ACTUALLY here tonight…” Izuku took a sip of his drink and gestured for him to continue.

“I want to hire you to take out Endeavor.”

“The pro hero?” Izuku said, not letting his shock slip into his tone. “I only target criminals or were you not informed about that?”

“He IS a criminal, just one that would never be charged. Like the Bakugous…” The man’s tone was harsh and almost bitter.

“I see. A villain that hides behind the pro hero title. What proof do you have of this though? I don’t target such high profile targets without proof.”

Izuku will kill those who deserve it, but he’d never kill an innocent person that has no connection to crime in any way. The man slid over a physical file. Izuku looked it over, Photos of Endeavor abusing his youngest and videos of him forcing his two other remaining children to cook for themselves, his daughter bandaging her younger brother and evidence of his wife being deemed mentally sane and healthy yet never being released from the hospital. Izuku hummed, looking over all that and more. This man had been doing a lot of research, he clearly was done with endeavor getting out of trouble because money and status is deemed as good as innocence. Izuku understood what was going on. This was clearly personal. And Izuku was his last hope that someone could get those poor siblings away from their abuser and give that monster what he deserves. Izuku nodded and handed back the files.

“So?”

“Hold onto those files, they can’t defend someone who’s already dead.” The man had a barely noticeable smile. Izuku looked at the man with a neutral look, and his eyes were cold, but internally he could feel the pain this man went through. It wasn’t fair. The way this world works, omegas get raped and forced into relationships. Kids get abused. This would be a quick job. Something that Izuku had to get done before his pup started developing in a few days. “You’ll be free soon, Todoroki Shouto…” With that Izuku left.

Nedzu had searched the entire web and police records for ‘The Hunter’ and had found quite a bit. They’re an alpha assassin that has been known to leave behind bloodbaths in place of organized crime hubs. With every member dead but accounted for. With the leaders often tortured to death in brutal ways. No real information was available. No known quirk. No known sex or gender. Even his dynamic was- at best- a guess. He’d been see posturing and had the right level of strength, but never once had anyone smelt his scent or if they had, they weren’t alive long enough to tell the police what it was. There were rumors the Bakugou’s had captured ‘The Hunter’ as their heir’s mate, but ‘The Hunter’ had been seen on the streets days later saying the claims were false. Nothing more than an attempt at gaining more control. Nedzu was suspicious. ‘The Hunter’ themselves had emailed him and told him an omega had been taken as a mate and that he saved him. But now the rumors said there was no omega mate. Someone was lying. And two lives were on the line until they could confirm who that was. Midoriya Inko had actually been targeted by a sniper that Aizawa took out before the woman was harmed so it was proof she was a target, but according to the records neither her nor her son had any connection to the mafia other than that suspicious email Nedzu received. If nothing else, it proved the email was the truth. Nedzu half wondered if Midoriya Izuku WAS ‘The Hunter’ but he second guessed himself, He’d seen evidence, Midoriya Izuku had alibis for everytime ‘The Hunter’ was out and about. His friend at college confirmed he’d been staying with them when Inko realized he hadn’t come home one time for example. While at the sametime ‘The Hunter’ had been seen on the other side of the city. For the first time in his life… Nedzu wasn’t sure what to do…

Notes:

I know I have fics with more hits, but I never thought this fic would get so popular...

Notes:

TogaBaku siblings au! Also Toga is always depicted as a horny af omega. Instead I made her a beta that is loved by her crime boss mom.

Oh, and yes. That corner cafe is the one from 'A Different Kind of Idol' where Kaminari works!
