"My name is Cheol Kim. I came here from Goguryeo Middle School. Nice to meet all of you and I hope we all can get along!" That's the introduction speech of the new transfer student. It's such a rare thing for someone to transfer in the middle of the year but there are exceptions such as this. His face being full of bruises explains most of the story already. Every student in that class thought they shouldn't believe in his pretty words.
People was scared of him, because of the rumors of him and his giant posture. He looked intimidating and dangerous to many. However, that didn't last long. At the end of the year, almost entire school got to love him. The things he experienced were hard but he didn't lost his cheerful personality. That's what made him break all the prejudices about himself and become popular in such short amount of time. Now that all his bruises healed, his good looks were also recognized. That's how the rumored "Lucifer the Demon Lord" turned into "The Angel of Baekje".
The only thing that was off about him was that he was always trying to talk to a specific girl, who clearly seemed to be disgusted by him. Normally, Cheol would simply ignore the ones who doesn't like him, he wouldn't step further. But when it comes to this girl, it was different. He constantly tried to have a chat with her, to spend time with her, to be her "friend". That word is important, because once when someone asked if she like this girl he stated that he only wishes to be her friend and nothing more for 25 minutes. Thus, no one else ever asked this question ever again.
The name of the girl he kept chasing around is Mi-ae Hwang. She's a petite and calm girl. She isn't really the social type. She has a few friends and that's enough for her. She always works hard for her studies and scores higher than most of the students. There were even a few times she ranked first in the school. She simply wanted to live her life quietly. As long as someone didn't call her short she'd keep her calm and stoic expression. And nowadays, there's nothing left behind her old peaceful school days. That guy called Cheol Kim kept tailing around her. Seriously, doesn't that guy have things to do or something? He's already so popular, he can spend his time with anyone. Why waste her precious time? It was already embarrassing enough being seen by him while she was crying in the dumpster. Why can't he leave her alone?
Mi-ae Hwang, who just wishes to get into a good highschool for a secure career, wanting to live her life peacefully and Cheol Kim, who stays positive no matter what the condition is, determined to be her friend; what awaits these two? Will they be able to stand by each other's side at the end of this century, happily? Well, time will show us!
